Abstract

Digitalization in the healthcare sector, particularly through the implementation of Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS), has become a primary focus in enhancing the effectiveness of patient administration. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of SIMRS digitalization on the effectiveness of patient administration. The method employed is a literature review, which examines various relevant journals and previous studies on this topic. The analysis results indicate that SIMRS digitalization improves patient administration, as evidenced by service speed, data accuracy, ease of access to information, and patient satisfaction. Although there are challenges in implementation, such as infrastructure constraints and human resource readiness, the benefits derived from this digital system far outweigh the drawbacks. The conclusion of this study demonstrates that digitalization through SIMRS has a significant positive impact on the effectiveness of patient administration.

Abstract

This study aims to calculate the unit Cost of echocardiography services at RSAL dr. Oetojo Sorong, West Papua, using the Activity-Based Costing (ABC) method and compare it with the applied INA-CBG’s tariff. The research method employed is a quantitative descriptive approach focusing on direct Cost analysis, overhead Costs, and Cost allocation based on activities. The data used includes primary data obtained from direct observation and interviews, as well as secondary data such as financial reports and hospital medical records. The results show that the unit Cost of echocardiography services calculated using the ABC method is higher than the INA-CBG’s tariff, indicating a disparity between the standard tariff and actual Costs. The application of the ABC method provides significant benefits to RSAL dr. Oetojo Sorong, such as identifying Cost-intensive activities, improving operational efficiency, and providing transparency in Cost management. This study also recommends that hospital management evaluate service tariffs and that BPJS Kesehatan review the alignment of INA-CBG’s tariffs with the actual Costs of healthcare services.

Abstract

Puskesmas as a first-level health facility has the main responsibility in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services to the community. Air Saga Health Center is one of 9 health centers under the Belitung Regency Health Office. This health center serves a working area consisting of 6 villages/sub-districts with a population of 5,304 people and the outpatient service load reaches more than 15,000 visits a year. To carry out its duties, the Air Saga Health Center is supported by 57 health workers and non-medical employees, including 18 nurses, 2 dental nurses, 13 midwives, as well as 2 dentists and 2 general practitioners. The organizational structure and role of human resources in the health service system greatly affect the effectiveness of the organization as a whole. When workload increases without adequate human resource management, the risk of burnout becomes high. is a condition of emotional, physical, and mental fatigue that occurs due to prolonged work pressure, and has been proven to reduce the quality of health workers' services. Some studies show that burnout does not stand alone, but is often mediated by other factors, such as high workload and Work-Family Conflict (WFC). International research shows that Work-Family Conflict and workload simultaneously affect and degrade the performance of nurses and other medical personnel, both in developing countries such as Iran and developed countries such as South Korea and China. Studies in Indonesia also show that work-family conflicts, burnout, and work stress contribute significantly to the decline in nurse performance in various hospital and health center contexts

Abstract

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) allow for the digital management of patient information, replacing traditional paper-based methods. “X” Primary Clinic faces challenges in medical and administrative efficiency, particularly regarding service time, which is a common patient complaint. This study aims to optimize EMR utilization as a solution to enhance work effectiveness. A qualitative descriptive research approach with focused interviews was employed. The study population consists of employees at “X” Primary Clinic involved in EMR implementation. The purposive sampling technique was used, with 10 informants, including the branch manager, human resources and administration supervisor, general practitioners, nurses, administrative staff, radiographers, laboratory analysts, IT personnel, and medical record officers. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal adequate technological infrastructure, although general practitioners still rely on paper-based records. Moreover, EMR training for staff is limited and lacks regular implementation, affecting their ability to fully utilize the system. While management has provided supportive facilities for EMR adoption, routine evaluations and monitoring need improvement. Government support in EMR regulations and oversight is significant; however, network access and training for healthcare facilities require further enhancement. This study concludes that optimizing EMR implementation can improve work effectiveness and healthcare service quality, necessitating regular evaluations, enhanced training programs, and stronger policy support from management and the government to maximize EMR's benefits for medical staff and patients at “X” Primary Clinic
