Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan perangkat soal yang tepat dan praktis untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi dan translasi representasi matematis siswa dalam materi aljabar.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model formative research.Subjekpenelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) Negeri 2Singkawang tahun 2015/2016 yang berjumlah 33 orang.Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa: (1)Perangkat soal dikategorikan tepatberdasarkan penilaian validator,sertahasil perhitungan validitas konstruk, reliabilitas, daya pembeda dan tingkat kesukarandari hasil uji coba kelompok kecil;(2) Berdasarkanrespon dan hasil wawancara dengan siswa diperoleh bahwaperangkat soal dapat dikategorikan praktis untuk digunakan; (3) Soal yang dihasilkan dapat mendeksripsikan kemampuan komunikasi dan translasi representasi matematis yang dibagi ke dalam tiga kategori kemampuan (tinggi, sedang dan rendah). Dengan demikian perangkat soal layak digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan komunikasi dan translasi representasi matematis siswa.   Kata Kunci: Perangkat Soal, Kemampuan Komunikasi, Kemampuan Translasi Representasi.   Abstract: The aim of this research is to produce a test item which is right and practical to measure the ablity of communication skill and translation skill in  mathematical representation of  student in algebra. The methodologythat used in this research is a Research and Development with formative researchmodel. The subject of this research are the students of class grade VIII of junior high school in 2015/2016 at SMP N 2 Singkawang which amount 33 students. The result of data analysis show that: (1) Test items can be categorized right based on validator appraisal, andthe calculationof construct valididty, reliability, distinguishing and level of difficulty from small group; (2) Based on student responds and interview,the test itemscanbe categorized as practically to use; (3) Test items that is produced can deksriptcommunication skill and translation skillin mathematical representation ofstudents in three category skill (high, medium and low). Final conclusion the test items can be deserved to measure the communication skill and translation skillin mathematical representation of students.  Keywords:Test Items, Mathematical Communication Skill, Translation skill in Mathematical Representation.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to explain conceptual understanding and procedural fluency in terms of student learning style on linear inequality material one variable. The method that was use in this research is descriptive method with case study form. There were 34 students participated in class VII SMP Darut Tauhid  Kubu Raya as the subject in this research. The instrument of data collecting are written test to reveal the conceptual understanding and procedural fluency, questionnaire to categorize the students based on their learning style and interview as the followup activity. The results of the data analysis show that conceptual understanding in students who have visual learning style and kinesthetic learning style included in medium category, whereas in auditory learning style  include in low category. Procedural fluency in all of students who have visual learning style, auditory learning style and kinesthetic learning style  included in very low categories.Keyword : Conceptual Understanding, Procedural Fluency, Learning Style

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa di Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif, dengan bentuk studi kasus. Sumber data sebanyak 6 orang siswa kelas VIII E  yang terdiri dari kelompok pemecahan masalah yang berbeda berdasarkan tingkat kontektualitas soal sebagaimana dikemukakan oleh Jan De Lange. Aspek literasi yang dibahas pada penelitian ini meliputi aspek penalaran dan aspek komunikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, siswa yang memenuhi kriteria aspek penalaran adalah siswa yang berada pada kelompok pemecahan masalah tinggi. Selaras dengan hal tersebut, siswa yang memenuhi kriteria aspek komunikasi adalah siswa yang berada pada kelompok pemecahan masalah tinggi. Namun secara keseluruhan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalahnya berada pada kategori rendah.   Kata kunci : Kemampuan Literasi Matematis, Pemecahan Masalah Abstract : This research aims to describe student’s mathmatical literacy ability in terms of problem solving skill in Junior High School Pontianak. This research used descriptive method with case study research design. Subject of this research design were 6 students of grade VIII E with different problem solving skill based on problems’ contextuality level as been stated by Jan De Lange. The literacy aspects which were discussed in this research included reasoning and communication aspects. The data analysis showed student who satisfied the criterias of reasoning aspect were actually student in high level problem solving skill. Reciprocally, students who satisfied the criterias of communication aspect were also students with high level of problem solving skill. But generally, students’ mathematical literacy ability in terms of problem solving skill was classified as low category.   Keyword : Mathematcal Literacy, Problem Solving Skill

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbantuan GeoGebra terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi sistem pertidaksamaan linear di kelas X SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experimental Designs dengan rancangan percobaan yang digunakan Randomized control-group  Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA 1 yang berjumlah 30 siswa dan kelas X MIA 2 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes pemahaman konsep berbentuk essay sebanyak 6 soal. Adapun hasil dan analisis data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: Pembelajaran berbantuan GeoGebra sangat berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran berbantuan Power Point dan kontribusi pembelajaran yang diliat dari hasil nilai pretest dan posttest dengan perhitungan rata-rata gain score ternormalisasi 0,82 dengan kategori tinggi pada kelas eksperimen dan 0,66  dengan kategori sedang pada kelas kontrol. Kata kunci    : GeoGebra dan Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Abstract: This research aims to determine the effect GeoGebra assisted learning to students' understanding of mathematical concepts of the material system of linear inequality in class X SMA Kemala Bhayangkari 1 Kubu Raya. The research method that used is a quasy experimental designs and the research design that used is a randomized control-group pretest-posttest design. The study sample in this study were students of class X MIA 1 totaling 30 students and class X MIA 2 totaling 32 students. Data collection tool that is used is in the form of an essay test understanding of concepts as much as 6 matter. From the results and analysis of data obtained the study are as follows: Learning assisted GeoGebra influence on improved understanding of mathematical concepts students compared with learning assisted Power Point and contribution of learning views of the results of the pretest and posttest with the calculation of the average gain score normalization 0.82 with the high category in the experimental class and 0.66 with the medium category of being in control class. Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to know the students' mathematical problem solving ability during the process, after the process, and also the improvement of problem solving ability of students before and after process and the students? activities during learning process by IMPROVE method along with embedded test in arithmetic sequence. In order to achieve this goal, an effort is made to improve the quality of education through learning methods and it is possible if their potential is sharpened with problem solving ability so they are used to think critically, logically and creatively.  The design used is Pretest and Posttest Group and it is used in one group only, so it does not need a control group. The population is the X grade students at SMK Negeri I Ngabang in academic year 2017-2018, one sample class is taken from Accounting B class which will be treated with IMPROVE method with embedded test.The results of the research showed the students' mathematical problem solving ability using IMPROVE method along with the embedded test during and after the process increased, the final score reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) and the students activity increased. Keywords: Improve  method, embedded test, solving problem ability.

Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengembangkan LKS berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi problem solving matematis siswa dalam materi SPLDV; (2) Menjelaskan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi problem solving matematis siswa dalam materi SPLDV. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement dan Evaluate. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa LKS yang telah dikembangkan melalui proses validasi dan uji coba dapat meningkatkan kompetensi problem solving matematis siswa dalam materi SPLDV.   Kata kunci:Bahan Ajar, Kompetensi, Penyelesaian Masalah.   Abstract: This study aims (1) to develop the student’ problem based worksheet in order to improve the students’ mathematical problem solving competence in SPLDVmaterial; (2) to explain that the developed students’ wordsheet can improve the student' mathematical problem solving competence in SPLDV material. This developmental study used ADDIE model which consists of 4 phase: Analyze, Desaign, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate. The result shows that the developed students’ worksheet after validating and testing process can improve the students’ mathematical problem solving competence in SPLDV material.   Keywords :Teaching material, Competence, Problem Solving.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know and describe the teacher’s class management, student’s learning activities, student’s respond and student’s outcomes in the implementation of cooperative learning with Group Investigation (GI) type in the operation of fraction topic at class VIIA SMPN 8 Pontianak. The research method is descriptive method. The research subject is students in class VIIA. Based on the data analysis that review four aspects, the results are: (1) the teacher’s class management categorized very good with average score 3,56; (2) student’s learning activities categorized active (72,35%); (3) student’s respond categorize positive with 6 student (25%) give a very positive respond and 18 student (75%) give a positive respond; and (4) student’s outcome is not reached classical completeness with only 41,67% of student can achieve the minimum completeness criteria. Because only three out of four aspects that achieved, the conclusion of this research is the implementation of cooperative learning with Group Investigation (GI) type less effective to apply in the operation of fraction topic at class VIIA SMPN 8 Pontianak. Key words: Cooperative learning, Group investigation, Effectiveness

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the process of developing spiritual and social attitudes competencies, in a holistic learning of mathematics sourced in the Qur'an. Qualitative research is applied in the preparation of teaching materials based on the integration of core competencies of revised Curriculum-13, and the development of attitude competencies in mathematics learning based on the Qur'anic. The subjects of the study were SMP / MTs students in the lessons of Straight Line Equation. The research data includes documents, learning recordings, and interviews, and it’s analyzed using the Miles & Huberman Method. The study resulted in: (1) mathematics teaching materials on the topic of the Straight Line Equations sourced of the Qur'anic (al Anfal) verses 65-66, to teach holistically, (2) The process of developing competency attitudes is carried out as long as the learning takes place from introduction to closing the lesson. In developing a spiritual attitude, two students are assigned to read the verses of the Qur’an and their translations, then discuss the content of mathematics. Students are aroused by curiosity with questions about verse, working collaboratively with friends, choosing the best ideas (tolerant), and being responsible for completing tasks. In developing skills and knowledge competencies, students are guided to achieve the process of modeling problems related to the Qur'anic verses, so that they find problem solving procedures, or mathematical concepts from the topics studied.Keywords: attitude competency development, holistic mathematics learning.

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini merupakan studi kasus yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk miskonsepsi siswa Kelas X SMKN 1 Pontianak pada materi operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bentuk akar dan penyebab miskonsepsi yang berasal dari diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif berbantuan tabel. Ada 36 orang siswa yang menjadi subjeknya. Subjek ditentukan berdasarkan jawaban test multiple choice dengan reasoning terbuka dan wawancara diagnosis. Berdasarkan analisis data ditemukan miskonsepsi paling banyak terjadi pada konsep operasi penjumlahan dan pengurangan bentuk akar. Secara keseluruhan miskonsepsi dari siswa dominan berbentuk miskonsepsi notasi dan miskonsepsi pengeneralisasian dan disebabkan oleh pemikiran asosiatif siswa, reasoning yang tidak lengkap / salah, dan kurangnya minat belajar matematika siswa. Kata Kunci: Analisis, Bentuk Akar, Kemampuan Siswa Abstract : This research is case study which aims to know the student’s misconceptions of 10th grade student of SMKN 1 Pontianak on addition and substraction of roots expression and it’s cause. The research method of in this research is descriptive with the table. There are 36 students as the subject. The subjects decided based on their answer on the multiple choice test with open reasoning and diagnostic interview. Based on data analysis, it was found that the most frequent misconception occured in addition and substraction concepts in roots. Overall, students’ misconception dominant of misconceptions about notation and misconceptions about generalizations and caused by students’ associated thoughts, incomplete/false reasoning, and students lack of interest in learning mathematics.   Keywords: Analysis, Roots, Student Ability

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  miskonsepsi siswa pada materi himpunan di kelas VII SMP Santa Monika Kubu Raya dan penyebab miskonsepsi yang berasal dari siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes diagnostik dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian yaitu 8 siswa kelas VII SMP Santa Monika. Subjek ditentukan berdasarkan jawaban tes diagnostik dan skor CRI yang diberikan siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data, miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa pada materi himpunan seperti miskonsepsi pengeneralisasian, miskonsepsi penspesialisasian dan miskonsepsi notasi. Penyebab miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa disebabkan oleh: 1) pemahaman yang tidak lengkap seperti catatan yang tidak lengkap; 2) pemikiran siswa sendiri seperti gabungan dalam materi himpunan sebagai gabungan dua kelompok benda, gabungan tidak memiliki irisan, himpunan memiliki sifat berkelompok, mendaftarkan anggota sama dengan keanggotaan himpunan, konsep himpunan bagian sama dengan irisan,   dan irisan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sama dengan irisan yang ada pada materi himpunan.   Kata kunci : Miskonsepsi, Penyebab Miskonsepsi, Materi Himpunan Abstrak: This case study research is aims to know misconception in material set of VII grade student’s of SMP Santa Monika Kubu Raya and the causes of students misconception derived from the students. The method of this research is used descriptive. The instrument that been use diagnostik test and interview. The subjek of this reseacrh is eight students of VII SMP Santa Monika. The subject is decided based on their answer on diagnostik test and CRI score that student’s had  given. Based on data analysis, misconceptions  experienced by students on material set such as misconceptions about overgeneralizing, misconceptions about overspecializing, and misconceptions about notation. The causes of the students misconception experienced by students caused by: 1) incomplete comprehension as incomplete notes; 2) students thoughts as union is a combination of two different groups, union don’t have intersection, set characteristic are groups, equate set elements enroll with set affilations, equate subset with intersection, and equate  intersection in every day life  with intersection in material set.   Keywords: Misconceptions, causes of students misconceptions, set in mathematics
