Abstract

AbstractThe fact that students’ mathematical critical thinking ability are low. Critical thinking are influenced by some factors, one of them is belief. This research aimed to explorate the mathematical critical thinking ability assessed from the students' belief in solving systems of linear equations in two variable materials. The research method was descriptive in form of case study. Subjects in this research are eight students at SMP Negeri 24 Pontianak. The results of this research indicated that students' mathematical critical thinking ability variation depend on their beliefs. Students who have the highest mathematical critical thinking ability are students with belief in following the learning process and usefulness of mathematics. Students who have the lowest mathematical critical thinking ability are students with belief in the usefulness of mathematics. On the other hand, students with belief in self-ability when study mathematics have mathematical critical thinking ability with medium category. Keywords: Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability, Students Belief, System of Linear Equations

Abstract

Abstrak :   Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh situasi pembelajaran dikelas III yang masih dilakukan secara terpisah-pisah antar mata pelajaran. Pengembangan model pembelajaran tematik melalui media Adobe Flash dalam bentuk CD interaktif merupakan pembelajaran yang dapat : (1) mengkaitkan antar mata pelajaran melalui sebuah cerita dalam bentuk animasi gambar yang menarik, (2) membuat waktu pembelajaran lebih singkat dan lebih ekonomis, (3) mempermudah interaksi antara siswa dengan materi, siswa dengan guru, maupun sesama siswa, (4) siswa dapat mengulang materi belajar setiap saat. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengembangan model pembelajaran tematik melalui media Adobe Flash di kelas III SD. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru kelas III dan peserta didik kelas III SD Islam Al Azhar 21 Pontianak. Hasil penelitian ini adalah : 1) Desain pembelajaran tematik menggunakan media Adobe Flash merupakan desain yang membuat peserta didik dapat lebih mandiri dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugas belajar; 2) Tampilan media Adobe Flash dalam pengembangan pembelajaran tematik memberikan kemudahan kepada peserta didik dalam memahami konsep beberapa mata pelajaran secara terintegrasi; 3) Perilaku belajar yang dapat diamati adalah sikap semangat, aktif, antusias, kemandirian dalam belajar, percaya diri, mampu bekerjasama dan bertanggung jawab, 4) Penerapan model pembelajaran tematik melalui media Adobe Flash yang memuat beberapa mata pelajaran secara terintegrasi dapat meningkatkan perolehan belajar konsep beberapa mata pelajaran yang saling terintegrasi.Kata Kunci : Pengembangan,  Pembelajaran Tematik, Media Adobe Flash Abstract :   This research done because of the learning situation in grade three which is still doing separated between subjects. The development of thematic learning model by using Adobe Flash media interactive Compact Disc/CD is one of the learning method that can: (1) Link between subjects by using telling a story method with an interesting animation pictures, (2) Make learning time shorter and economic, (3) Make easier the interaction between students and the learning material, students and teacher, even between them selves, (4) The students are able to review the learning material anytime. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the development of thematic learning model by using Adobe Flash media in grade three Elementary School. This research is a kind of Research and Development by using Qualitative descriptive approach. The subject of this research is teacher and students of grade three Al Azhar Islamic Elementary School 21st Pontianak. The results of  this research are : 1) Thematic learning design use Adobe Flash media is a design that make the students be more autonomous in doing the learning tasks; 2) The performance of Adobe Flash media in the development of thematic learning giving ease to the students in comprehending the concept of subjects integrated; 3) The learning attitude that can be observed is a big spirit, active, enthusiastic, has self-supporting learning, confident, can cooperate and has a big responsible, 4) The application in thematic learning model by using Adobe Flash media in some subjects integrated can improve the concept of learning result some of that subjects integrated. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana pengaruh model Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa kelas VIII pada materi gradien persamaan garis lurus di SMP Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Group Posttest-Only. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIG sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dengan model Single-Sex PBL, VIIIE sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 dengan model Mixed-Sex PBL, dan VIIIC sebagai kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional, yang masing-masing berjumlah 37 siswa. Hasil perhitungan one-way anova dan uji t menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis antara kelas eksperimen 2 dan kelas kontrol, sementara tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas eksperimen 2, begitu juga antara kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas kontrol. Perhitungan effect size menunjukkan bahwa model Mixed-Sex PBL memberikan pengaruh lebih tinggi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi gradien dibandingkan model Single-Sex PBL. Kata kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Problem Based Learning   Abstract: This research aims to find out how Problem Based Learning model effect on grade 8 students’ mathematical critical thinking ability in gradient of straight line topic at SMP Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. The research method was experiment method with Nonequivalent Group Posttest-Only design. The sample of this research were students of VIIIC as experiment group 1 with Single-Sex PBL model, VIIIE as experiment group 2 with Mixed-Sex PBL model, and VIIIC as control group with conventional teaching model, with 37 students in each class. Using one-way anova and t-test analysis, the result showed that there is difference between experiment group 2 and control group, while there is no difference between experiment group 1 and experiment group 2, as well as between experiment group 1 and control group. Effect size calculation showed that Mixed-Sex PBL has greater effect in increasing students’ mathematical critical thinking ability than Single-Sex PBL. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Perolehan pendidikan dan pelatihan (diklat) pada peserta diklat kepala sekolah SD yang terlibat pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan powerpoint di Lembaga Penjaminan Mutu Pendidikan (LPMP) Provinsi Kalimantan Barat, (2) Mengetahui Model pengembangan media powerpoint, (3) Respon peserta diklat terhadap materi diklat yang memanfaatkan media powerpoint. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di LPMP Provinsi Kalimantan Barat tahun anggaran 2012 dengan populasi peserta diklat kepala sekolah SD se-Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Desain yang digunakan adalah Pre-tes dan Pos-tes, instrumen pengambilan data berupa tes perolehan diklat, angket respon dan instrumen pelaksanaan penelitian berupa RPP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) skor rata-rata pemerolehan diklat yang dilibatkan dalam pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media powerpoint mengalami perubahan 5 yaitu dari 6,4 menjadi 11,9 sedangkan (2) perubahan 4 yaitu dari 6,5,5,7 menjadi 10, 9, 9, 11. (3) Respon peserta diklat rata-rata baik (40,02) terhadap pembelajaran diklat memanfaatkan media powerpoint dengan kriteria baik untuk ketiga aspek aspek. Kata kunci: Media powerpoint, perolehan diklat dan respon. The Research Result ore to knowing: (1) Education and Training Input (DIKLAT) for principals of Elementary school as member of training that enters in learning prosess with using powerpoint in quality assurance of education (LPMP) West Kalimantan Borneo, (2) To knowing developing powerpoint as a media, (3) to knowing the response of members of training in using powerpoint media inTraining. This Research have done at LPMP West Kalimantan Province 2012. The population are Principals of elementers School in West Kalimantan . This Program design using Pre-test and Post-test, using intrument to collect data, angket, instrumen for doing reseach like, RPP. This reseach result showing: (1) the average score, what kiind of training using powerpoint media is moreasing from 6,4 becoming 11,9. (2) Changing 6,5, 5,7 becoming 10,9, 9,11. (3) The member of training response is good (40,02) reacted learning training using powerpoint media with good Eritena for 3 aspects. Key word: Media powerpoint, Response and Training Input.

Abstract

Abstrak Media animasi komputer merupakan media alternatif yang memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan perolehan hasil belajar siswa di MTs. Negeri 1 pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan bentuknya deskriptif. Sedangkan teknik dan alat pengumpul data yang dipergunakan adalah tes,wawancara, observasi dan kuesioner. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPS dilakukan dengan tiga tahap yaitu kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti dan kegiatan akhir dan semua kegiatan tersebut sudah dilaksanakan dengan baik. Preskripsi dalam pembelajaran dibuat sudah sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa dengan memadukan gaya belajar siswa dan kemampuan dasar pebelajar. Perolehan hasil belajar siswa setelah diadakan uji produk media animasi komputer kepada siswa kelas IX A sebanyak 30 orang ternyata mengalami peningkatan yang siginifikan, hal ini terbukti dari hasil perolehan sebelum menggunakan animasi hanya sebesar 79,7%, setelah menggunakan media animasi komputer meningkat mencapai 100% berarti ada kenaikan sebesar 20.30%. kenaikan tersebut diperoleh setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dan penggunaan media animasi computer dengan tepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan media animasi computer yang dilaksanakan ternyata dapat meningkatkan perolehan belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: Pemanfaatan, Media Animasi Komputer, Pembelajaran, Perolehan Belajar Abstrak Computer Animation Media is an alternative media which appropriate to improve MTs.N 1 Pontianak students learning outcome.This research is used qualitative approach in descriptive form. The techniques of the data collecting were interviews, observations, questioners and documentations. This study was done in grade-IX of MTs.N 1 Pontianak. The implementation of learning social science was conducted in three phases; pre-activity, whilst activity and post activity. All of the activities had been done well. The prescription of learning has been appropriate with students characters, students learning style and learning basic ability. The achievement of grade 9 students learning after examining on computer animation media showed the significant increase. It was proved that the achievement of the pre-test was 79,9. And after the implementation of computer animation media, The post-test showed that the achievement increased 100%. It meant that it had 20,30% increases. That increase is obtained after learning and using appropriate computer animation media. The result the research showed that the use of computer animation media could improve studentslearning achievement. Key Words: Using, computer animation media, learning, learning achievement.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan translasi representasi siswa materi himpunan kelas VII MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah kelas VIII D MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak dan objek penelitiannya adalah kemampuan translasi siswa materi himpunan. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes tertulis dan wawancara untuk melihat kemampuan translasi siswa. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil tes, diketahui bahwa kemampuan translasi siswa termasuk dalam kategori kurang sekali. Umumnya siswa lebih dominan dapat melakukan translasi dari bentuk simbol ke bentuk verbal.   Kata kunci: Kemampuan Translasi, Representasi, Himpunan Abstract: The purpose of this research is to to know the ability translation of students representation on the sets material in grade VII MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak. The method  is used qualitative with case study form of research. The subject of research is grade VIII D MTs. Negeri 1 Pontianak and the object of the research is the translation ability of students for sets material. In this research used written test and interview the students to know ability of the students. Based on the result in the data analysis, it can be concluded that students translation ability categorized poor. Mostly students do the translation from the symbol to the verbal. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis multimedia berbasis keterampilan proses dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk kecakapan pemecahan masalah bioteknologi nata de coco siswa kelas IX SMPN 3 Sungai Kakap. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah : 1) Menemukan model rancangan pembelajaran melalui multimedia berbasis keterampilan proses; 2) profil media yang relevan  dengan multimedia berbasis keterampilan proses untuk kecakapan pemecahan masalah bioteknologi nata de coco adalah dalam format Adobe Flash dilengkapi dengan narasi, animasi, audio dan video; 3) perilaku belajar peserta didik yang dapat diamati adalah kemandirian dalam belajar (tidak tergantung oleh guru), lebih bersemangat dan antusias, memiliki keterampilan proses seperti mengamati, menafsirkan, menggunakan alat, merencanakan kegiatan, mengkomunikasikan dan menyimpulkan dengan baik; 4) peserta didik mampu mencapai tujuan akhir dalam pembelajaran yaitu kecakapan pemecahan masalah dimana peserta didik mampu menemukan solusi pemanfaatan air kelapa menjadi nata de coco sehingga lebih bernilai ekonomis.   Kata Kunci : Multimedia berbasis keterampilan proses, kecakapan pemecahan masalah bioteknologi nata de coco   ABSTRACT : This study aims to describe and analyze a multimedia-based learning science process skills in problem-solving skills biotechnology for nata de coco class IX student SMP 3 Sungai Kakap. Abstract

AbstractEach student has the ability to think different processes that are high-ability thinking process, thinking process of sedag and lower-minded thinking process. This research tries to describe the thinking process of high school students in solving the story problem on linear equation system of three variable (SPLTV) in SMA K Abdi Wacana Pontianak. By knowing the thinking process of students, it is expected to choose the appropriate teaching method for each student according to students' thinking ability and give attention to each student according to the thought process they have. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The subjects of the study were XA SMA K Abdi Wacana Pontianak as many as 9 students: 3 high-ability students, 3 medium-skilled students and 3 lower-ability students. Methods of data collection conducted is by way of written tests and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis of writing tests and interviews obtained the results: 1.) The process of thinking three high-ability students in solving the story problem is already able to do the problem well and complete. 2.) The process of thinking three students are capable of solving the problem of the story is that there is still one student who has not been able to do the problem well and complete. 3.) Abstract

AbstractReading skills in learning mathematics in schools are rarely taught by teachers. One of the reading strategies is the problem posing-based TRI strategy. Based on the results of research, learning using these strategies can develop students' mathematical communication skills. A comparison of the average value of pretest and posttest is 54 and 73. Precisely the mathematical communication skills of students with visual learning styles after learning with the type of pre solution posing have increased. Of the three subjects, two subjects have increased. Likewise, with students who have kinesthetic learning styles in the same type of the three subjects, two subjects have increased, and one subject has that type. Furthermore, mathematical communication skills of students with visual learning styles after learning with the type within solution posing have increased, of the three subjects, two subjects have increased; as well as students with kinesthetic learning styles in the same type, of the three subjects only one has increased, but there is one subject already able to that type. Then the mathematical communication skills of students with visual learning styles after learning with the type of post solution posing increased in all subjects. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi dan menganalisis tentang perhatian pada pemanfaatan media Kit dalam pembelajaran matematika di SMP Negeri di Kota Pontianak. Yang meliputi jenis-jenis Kit yang dikenali dan dipertimbangkan dalam pemanfaatannya, persiapan, pelaksanaan serta perawatan dan penyimpanan media Kit. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media Kit telah dilaksanakan guru di sekolah namun belum optimal. Persiapan yang dilakukan terbatas pada pengecekan ketersediaan media Kit saja belum memperhatikan kelengkapan kit maupun pengujian. Pelaksanaan lebih kepada Standar Kompetensi bangun ruang dan beberapa bangun datar saja sedangkan kompetensi lainnya tidak memenfaatkan Kit yang ada. Kamampuan guru dalam memenfaatkan Kit masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penyimpanan media Kit perlu mendapat perhatian agar lebih tertata dan terawat dengan baik. Dukungan dari kepala sekolah dan pengawas pembina perlu dilakukan untuk memberikan motifasi kepada guru dalam memanfaatkan Kit matematika di sekolah. ­ Kata kunci: Media Kit, pembelajaran matematika   Abstract: This study focused on the use of the media kit in learning mathematic at junior High School in Pontianak City. The kinds of kit considered in usefulness, preparation, take care of activity and the storage kit media. The result of study showed that use has been carried out by teachers at school but the utility was not optimal. The teacher has prepared the times, the number of media, study materials and the safety but less of focus on students characteristic and the teachers ability. The implementation is focus only on basic competency on space shape and flat space shape but another competency was not use the available of kit. The teacher competence is more increase in usefulness of kit. The storage of kit is get more pay attention in order the kit storage is more tidy and take care well. The support of principal and advisor need to be done to give motivation to the teacher in utility mathematic of kit media at school.   Key words: Media Kit, learning science.
