Abstract

Mastery of Arabic speaking skills (maharah kalam) poses a significant challenge for students, particularly in the context of primary education where exposure to the language is limited. Previous research has examined the use of Quantum Learning and digital media in language learning, but few have examined the impact of the combination of the two methods, particularly in teaching Arabic speaking skills. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Quantum Learning-based maharah kalam learning using flipbook media at MI Al-Ishlah Palembang. Using a mixed method approach, this study combines quantitative data obtained from pre-test and post-test scores with qualitative interviews and observations. The data analysis process included descriptive statistics, t-test, and thematic analysis to evaluate both the effectiveness of the method and the student experience. The results showed a significant improvement in students' speaking skills, with an average increase from 72.92 in the pre-test to 89.17 in the post-test. In addition, students reported higher levels of engagement and motivation during learning. This study concludes that the integration of Quantum Learning and flipbook media is an effective strategy in improving Arabic speaking skills and can provide a more dynamic and interesting learning environment for students.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of differentiated instruction in Arabic language learning at SMK N 1 Penukal. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this research identifies students' learning styles visual, auditory, and kinesthetic as the basis for designing instructional strategies. Among 33 students, 12 have a visual learning style, 10 are auditory learners, and 11 are kinesthetic learners, allowing learning groups to be structured according to their respective needs. Lesson planning begins with a diagnostic assessment to determine students' learning profiles. Teaching modules are designed with varied strategies, such as infographics and concept maps for visual learners, group discussions and audio recordings for auditory learners, and simulations and role-playing for kinesthetic learners. The learning process incorporates differentiation in content, process, and product. Evaluation is conducted through creative projects, oral presentations, and portfolio-based assignments aligned with students' learning styles. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction enhances students' motivation and academic achievement. However, challenges such as limited facilities and time management in assessments still need to be addressed. School support, including the Guru Penggerak training program and In-House Training (IHT), plays a crucial role in successfully implementing this strategy. This study contributes to the development of a differentiated Arabic language learning model and can serve as a reference for other educational institutions in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum

Abstract

Indonesia stands as the world's most populous Muslim nation, holding a crucial position in the realm of Islamic moderation. The richness of diversity, encompassing religion, culture, language, and customs, serves as a potential catalyst for peace when approached with an attitude of mutual respect and appreciation for differences. However, in the absence of tolerance, the specter of intolerance emerges and paves the way for acts of violence. Recognizing this delicate balance, the pivotal role of religious leaders and scholars becomes evident. They play a crucial part in fostering an understanding of religious moderation. This understanding acts as a proactive safeguard, while thwarting the escalation of intolerance and violence. Employing a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, this study focuses on Prof. Dr. K. H. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A., and Madrasah Tsanawiyah Istiqlal Jakarta. The data collection involved meticulous observation, thorough documentation, and insightful interviews. The findings underscore the significance of religious leaders in imparting insights on tolerance and the value of harmonious coexistence within religious communities. In the context of MTs Istiqlal Jakarta, the results illuminate the pivotal role of the clergy in nurturing an atmosphere of understanding. This is evident in the MCB program and congregational prayers, where students are actively engaged in learning to appreciate and respect one another, embracing the beauty of diversity. This study underscores the transformative impact of religious education in shaping attitudes and mitigating the seeds of intolerance and violence within society.

Abstract

This study aims to explore forms of school cultural activities which are allegedly an effort to strengthen students' religious moderation values. Schools are considered as institutions that are capable of coloring and even changing the mindset, character and even behavior of its citizens so that from the womb of the school it is hoped that human beings will be born who reconcile, spread love and create national unity and integrity. This study uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach, namely uncovering phenomena or symptoms that occur related to strengthening religious moderation values through school culture. In this study, the research subjects were selected purposively, so the informants in this study were the head of SMA Y Palembang, the representatives, the teacher council, students, stakeholders and other relevant informants where data was collected by observing a number of objects related to research problems. and in-depth interviews with a number of informants and supported by data collected using documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used in this study is qualitative data analysis with three activities namely data reduction, display and verification. The results of the study show that the school culture developed at SMA Y is classified into two cultural groups, namely formal activities which include morning breafing activities, and collective prayer, core activities by applying methods oriented towards strengthening the value of moderation and closing activities which contain motivation and advice. In these activities, the values of religious moderation are strengthened, including the value of tolerance or tasamuh through morning briefings and joint prayers with school members and in class activities through the discussion method of strengthening values not only on tasamuh values but on the values of tatawur walibtikar or dynamic and innovative while in closing activities  in the form of motivation and advice by strengthening the value of tasamuh and  tawazun as well as tawasuth fellow school members. Furthermore, in the form of non-formal activities there are spiritual activities and candles where these two activities are religious study activities for Muslims and non-Muslims which in their implementation link tasamuh values. In addition, there are also field trips and social services that seek to strengthen the values of tawasuth, tasamuh and tawazun among school members. It turns out that schools with relatively diverse students through school culture are able to strengthen the values of religious moderation in order to create peace and harmony among school members.
