Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran guru matematika dalam menghadapi tantangan abad 21 yang semakin besar. Perkembangan dunia telah memasuki abad 21 yang dimana persaingan dalam dunia semakin  ketat  dan  tidak  terlepas  dari  perkembangan  teknologi  yang  semakin  pesat.  Dalam  menghadapi tantangan abda 21 guru matematika dituntut profesional di bidangnya, dimana pada abad 21 guru matematika dituntut dalam kompetensi karakter, keterampilan dan literasi dalam menciptakan sebuah pembelajaran. Hal tersebut merupakan sebagai tanggung jawab guru  matematika dalam  mempersiapkan siswa  agar  mimiliki kemampuan kolaborasi, berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan komunikatif. Selain itu peran guru pada abad 21 saat ni telah bergeser,  peran  guru  menjadi  fasilitator,  motivator,  nilai-nilai  karakter,  dan  inspirator.  Selain  itu  guru matematika diera abad 21 ini dituntut untuk menguasai iptek dan mampu memanfaatkannya dalam proses pembelajaran. Sehingga  kemampuan  guru  terus  berkembang  sebagai  bentuk  kesiapan  dalam  menghadapi perubahan zaman yang silih berganti. Kata kunci :Etika profesi, kecakapan abad 21, pembelajaran matematika. ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the role of mathematics teachers in facing the growing challenges of the 21st century. The development of the world has entered the 21st century where competition in the world is getting tougher  and  cannot  be  separated  from  the  increasingly  rapid  development of  technology.  In  facing  the challenges of you, 21 mathematics teachers are demanded to be professionals in their fields, wherein 21 mathematics teachers are required to be competent in character, skill, and century literacy in creating learning. This is the responsibility of the mathematics teacher in preparing students to have the ability to collaborate, think critically, creatively, and communicate. In addition, the role of teachers in the 21st century has now shifted, the role of teachers as facilitators, motivators, character values, and inspirers. Abstract

This study aims to design student worksheets on integer material using the context of Musi Rawas tourism. The designed worksheets are expected to provide students with a more engaging and relevant learning experience by incorporating real-life examples and problems related to the local tourism industry. This study uses a design research method with validation studies, including preliminary design and the design experiment (pilot experiment). The results of this study show that the designed worksheets effectively integrate integer concepts with the context of Musi Rawas tourism, making the learning experience more meaningful and enjoyable for students. The study concludes that contextualised learning materials, such as these worksheets, can significantly enhance students' understanding and retention of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the mathematical ability of grade VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Sungai Keruh, Musi Banyuasin Regency in solving problems on the material of straight line equations by using the context of school cooperatives where school cooperatives provide an authentic context-based learning environment, allowing students to directly apply the concepts they have learned, including in the field of mathematics. Students' ability to solve mathematical problems plays an important role in determining the level of student success in learning. The subjects this study involved 30 students who were class VIII students. To describe in depth the students' ability to solve problems, a comprehensive approach is needed that not only includes the final results, but also the thought processes and strategies they use in solving these problems. With descriptive method and qualitative approach is the type of this research. The tool instrument in this study used in the form of an instrument to do a test on the ability solve mathematical problems with the material straight line equations as much as 2 activities of problem test activities and in the form of interviews. The level of students' ability to solve math problems at each Polya stage is as follows. 27% of students are categorized as high ability, 50% of students with medium ability and 23% of students with low ability to solve problems. In general, this situation illustrates that students' ability to solve mathematical problems is at a moderate level. These results illustrate that students' ability to solve mathematical problems can be improved through a more contextualized direct approach where problem-based learning helps students understand mathematical concepts by linking theory to real situations, encouraging students to think critically in solving problems directly using problems that are very relevant in everyday life.

Abstract

A tourism route is a sequence of tourist attractions visited. Students are familiar with tour activities and often plan tourism routes to visit several tourist attractions. Students' experience and knowledge about tourism routes can be used as a context for teaching the rule of product. Therefore, this research aims to design a learning trajectory for the rule of product using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach in the Kerinci nature tourism route context. The research method used is design research with a validation study type, which consists of three stages: preparation and design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The subjects involved in this research were 11 third-semester mathematics education students at a university in Jambi, Indonesia. The instruments include learning video recordings, student work results, field notes, and test sheets. The research results show that learning trajectories designed in the context of tourism routes can help students discover, understand, and use the rule of product in solving relevant mathematical problems. The learning tracjectory consists of four activities: making a list of Kerinci tourist attractions, determining the location of several tourist attractions on a sketch map, arranging tourist attractions in tourism routes, and solving problems regarding possible tourism routes. This research shows that the designed learning trajectory is vital in helping students discover and understand the rule of product and apply them to solving relevant problems.

Abstract

Social arithmetic is one of the mathematics learning materials that is very important and close to students' lives. This material is often considered easy, but in fact, students often face difficulties in understanding social arithmetic, especially in profit/loss material. With this condition, we must be able to compile a learning that is fun, interesting and directly involved in learning, including by using the PMRI approach. The research method used in this study is design research type validation studies, which consists of 3 stages, namely preparation and design, design experiment and retrospective analysis. This study formulates the Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) into 4 (four) activities, namely: (1) product design activities to determine the purchase price; (2) the activity of making products to determine the selling price; (3) the activity of selling products to determine profit/loss; (4) mathematical problem solving activities regarding profit/loss. The data collection technique in this study uses observation, voice recordings and LAS then analyzed descriptively, which is seen from the results of observations in the classroom, namely comparing HLT and the learning activity process. The result of this study is that the learning trajectory designed to increase the understanding of in-depth concepts about social arithmetic is in accordance with the characteristics of PMR learning, namely the use of context, the use of models, student engagement, interactivity and connection with other learning materials.

Abstract

Spatial literacy, as a subset of mathematical literacy, integrates three core domains: visualization, reasoning, and communication. This systematic literature review aims to investigate the application of spatial literacy in geometry education, drawing on existing research findings, and to identify strategies that effectively enhance students' spatial skills within this context. Employing the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines ensures a systematic and structured approach to the review process. Data were sourced from platforms such as Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus, encompassing publications from 2020 to 2024. The findings reveal that spatial literacy in geometry education is fostered through the use of visual aids, geometric models, activities emphasizing mental rotation and transformation, and the integration of spatial language. Additionally, strategies to improve students' spatial literacy include leveraging technology, implementing project-based learning, fostering collaborative group work, and engaging students in physical exploration.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan Local Instriction Theory (LIT) pada materi refleksi geometri kelas IX menggunakan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) dan konteks Songket Prada Palembang. Design research tipe validation studies ini melibatkan 31 siswa SMP Negeri 17 Palembang dengan tiga tahap utama: preparing for the experiment, design experiment, dan retrospective analysis. Pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyesuaian Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) menghasilkan LIT yang relevan mendukung pembelajaran refleksi. Aktivitas pembelajaran yang dirancang dengan pendekatan PMRI berkonteks Songket Prada Palembang ini memungkinkan siswa memahami konsep secara bertahap, dari eksplorasi pola hingga formalisasi aturan refleksi geometri. Siswa menunjukkan kemampuan mengklasifikasikan objek sesuai sifat geometris pola songket, menyajikan ulang konsep refleksi, menghubungkan konsep proyeksi, simetri, dan refleksi dengan representasi matematis, mendeskripsikan konsep refleksi secara formal, serta memilih dan menggunakan prosedur dengan tepat. Beberapa temuan seperti kesalahan menentukan sumbu refleksi atau kurangnya kedalaman analisis mengindikasikan perlunya pendampingan lebih lanjut untuk memformalkan pemahaman siswa. Temuan ini mendukung pentingnya integrasi budaya lokal, seperti Songket Palembang, dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk pemahaman konsep abstrak.

Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematis ialah kemampuan individu dalam merumuskan, menerapkan dan menafsirkan matematika dalam situasi nyata yang sangat penting dalam permasalahan kontekstual. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 61 Palembang. Penelitian ini dengan jenis deskriptif kualitatif  yang melibatkan 30 orang siswa dengan fokus pada tiga orang siswa yang  berkemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendaah. Tes dan wawancara merupakan teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis persentase tiap indikator dalam penelitian ini yakni, indikator formulate sebesar 22,22% dikategorikan kurang. Indikator employ dengan persentase 55,56% dikategorikan sedang dan  indikator interprete dengan persentase sebesar 40,44% dikategorikan sedang. Sedangkan rata-rata keselurahan dari ketiga indikator tersebut sebesar 40,74% dikategorikan sedang dengan indikator yang paling banyak muncul pada indikator kedua yaitu employ.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada materi perbandingan menggunakan konteks jajanan sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitiannya ialah 22 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Tungkal Jaya. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu tes tertulis dan wawancara. Tes yang diberikan berupa 2 soal dengan menggunakan konteks jajanan sekolah. Indikator yang digunakan pada soal adalah representasi visual (gambar), representasi verbal (kata-kata atau teks tertulis), dan representasi simbolik (angka dan simbol). Analisis data meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dari data yang telah dianalisis. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah siswa yang mampu memenuhi indikator representasi visual dan representasi simbolik pada saat menyelesaikan soal dengan baik, sedangkan untuk representasi verbal dapat terselesaikan namun masih ada sedikit kesalahan, maka siswa tersebut dapat dikatakan pada kategori tinggi. Siswa yang sudah dapat menyelesaikan soal indikator representasi visual, representasi verbal, dan representasi simbolik namun masih terdapat beberapa kesalahan, maka dapat dikatakan siswa pada kategori sedang. Siswa yang masih belum mampu memenuhi indikator representasi visual, representasi verbal, dan representasi simbolik, maka dapat dikatakan siswa pada kategori rendah. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Representasi Matematis, Perbandingan, Konteks Jajanan Sekolah

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of LUDO MATH that can increase student interest in learning Logarithms. This type of research is R & D using the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection in this study was carried out by means of observation and interviews. Descriptive analysis is used to describe the results of the development of LUDO MATH from the analysis to evaluation stage. The results of the material expert validation showed that LUDO MATH media obtained a percentage of 80% in the valid category. While the results of the media expert validation obtained a percentage of 80% with a valid category. For the assessment of the practicality of teaching aids seen from the results of the assessment by teachers and students. Where the results of the assessment by the teacher obtained a percentage of 76.67% with a practical category, while the results of the assessment by students obtained a percentage of 84.55% with a very practical category. To see the effectiveness of teaching aids, it is seen from the results of observations during the trial and supported by the results of interviews on the trial subjects. The results showed that the LUDO MATH learning media developed proved to be valid, effective, and practical so that the use of this media can be an alternative for teachers in increasing student interest in learning Logarithms.
