Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) menghasilkan materi ajar penghitungan volume yang valid dan praktis yang dikembangkan berdasarkan pendekatan PMRI di kelas V SD, (2) mengetahui efek potensial yang muncul dari pengembangan materi ajar penghitungan volume terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan (development research) tipe formative evaluation, yaitu pengembangan materi ajar penghitungan volume menggunakan pendekatan PMRI. Prosedur penelitian ini dibagi dalam 2 tahapan, yaitu: preliminary dan formative evaluation. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan tes. Observasi dilakukan untuk melihat aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan PMRI dan tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas Va semester 2 di SD Negeri 16 Ogan Komering Ulu yang berjumlah 25 siswa,. Peneliti mengambil kesimpulan: (1) materi ajar penghitungan volume yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif berdasarkan pendekatan PMRI di kelas V SD, (2) pengembangan materi ajar penghitungan volume memiliki efek potensial terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa, di mana nilai rata-rata tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa adalah 87,01, ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan siswa termasuk kategori baik sekali, dan dari hasil observasi siswa, ternyata: (a) sebagian besar siswa menggunakan konteks nyata (real context), (b) sebagian besar siswa menggunakan instrumen vertikal (bagan, model, skema), (c) sebagian besar siswa menggunakan hasil pekerjaan siswa dan konstruksi, (d) sebagian besar siswa melakukan interaktivitas, (e) walaupun hampir separuh bagian materi berkaitan dengan pokok bahasan lain dalam ilmu matematika atau dengan mata pelajaran lain. Oleh karena itu, materi ajar penghitungan volume dengan menggunakan pendekatan PMRI ini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.DOI: 10.22342/jpm.6.1.4074.35-62

Abstract

Penelitian Pengembangan Bahan Ajar Keliling, Luas Persegi dan Persegi Panjang dengan Pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan bahan ajar keliling, luas persegi dan persegi panjang yang valid dan praktis yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI); (2) mengetahui efek potensial bahan ajar keliling, luas persegi dan persegi panjang dari pengembangan bahan ajar berdasarkan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia(PMRI) terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (development research) yang terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu (1) self evaluation, meliputi tahap analisis dan desain perangkat pembelajaran; (2) prototyping, meliputi tahap evaluasi dan revisi; dan (3) melakukan field test. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara, observasi, tes dan analisi dokumentasi jawaban siswa. Hasil observasi aktivitas siswa didapat rata-rata aktivitas yaitu 11,99 dengan tingkat aktivitas masuk dalam kategori aktif. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan soal matematika berbahasa Inggris melalui penggunaan LKS Bilingual dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas X-C SMA Negeri 1 Muara Enim. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas. Pembuatan instrumen penelitian menggunakan konsep penelitian pengembangan, sampai dengan tahap small group, serta desain Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X.C SMA Negerin 1 Muara Enim, berjumlah 34 orang. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan metode walk through, tes hasil belajar, observasi, dokumentasi, dan angket. Analisis data penelitian menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Khusus untuk soal tes digunakan analisis validitas dan reliabilitas soal tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan LKS Bilingual dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas X-C SMA Negeri 1 Muara Enim dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa menyelesaikan soal matematika berbahasa Inggris. Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan siswa Kelas X-C SMA Negeri 1 Muara Enim dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika berbahasa Inggris dengan pencapaian kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) mata pelajaran matematika sebesar 75% oleh sekurang-kurangnya 80% siswa tercapai. Banyaknya siswa yang mencapai KKM di atas, pada siklus I sebanyak 79% dan pada siklus II sebanyak 88%. Penulis menyarankan beberapa hal, yaitu: 1) LKS Bilingual kiranya dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu sumber belajar yang dapat memberikan siswa kesempatan untuk mengkonstruksi sendiri pengetahuannya, dan 2) para guru matematika, ataupun guru mata pelajaran lain, dapat menggunakan atau mengembangkan LKS Bilingual ini dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran masing-masing dan dapat menjadikannya sebagai motivasi untuk mengembangkan profesinya.DOI : 10.22324/jpm.6.1.4080.81-102

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar yang valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial pada pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian formatif penelitian pengembangan. Proses pengembangan dimulai dari analisis, desain, evaluasi dan revisi. Evaluasi bahan ajar dilakukan dengan evaluasi diri, review pakar dan evaluasi satu-satu, dan evaluasi kelompok kecil. Kemudian terakhir dilakukan uji lapangan dengan subjek penelitian adalah siswa dari SMAN 1 Betung Kabupaten Banyuasin kelas X1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis, disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar yang dihasilkan dianggap valid dan praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial pada pembelajaran. Dikatakan valid terlihat dari hasil penilaian semua pakar menyatakan bahwa materi tiga dimensi menggunakan media Cabri sangat baik berdasarkan kriteria konten, linguistik, konstruk, tampilan tata letak, dan media visualisasi. Dikatakan praktis tergambar oleh hasil uji coba lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik dapat dengan mudah mengikuti pembelajaran dan lebih tertarik untuk belajar menggunakan bahan ajar ini. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba lapangan pada tes, materi tiga dimensi menggunakan media Cabri berpotensi efektif bila digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil tes individual dikategorikan memililki nilai rata-rata baik, dengan kualitas keseluruhan dari pembelajaran dikategorikan baik, nilai rata-rata 84,81 yang menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dilakukan secara efektif dalam kategori.DOI: 10.22342/jpm.6.2.4085.1-18

Abstract

Abstract: Arithmetic sequence is one of the important materials learned in class X. However, in practice, many students face difficulties in solving problems related to this material. Therefore, this researcher aims to design a learning trajectory or Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) with the approach of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI), using the context of the Banyuasin Regency traditional house. The method used was design research with the research subjects of 24 students in class X of SMK Manggala Palembang. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and analysis of student work results on Student Worksheets (LKPD). The results of the study show that the HLT developed is effective in helping students understand the concept of arithmetic sequences in depth, understand patterns, and be able to use the nth term formula in various contextual situations. The implementation of HLT based on local context also helps students to understand the material in a more meaningful and relevant way.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' mathematical communication skills through PMRI approach. This research method used descriptive qualitative by involving 9 students in Palembang city as research subjects. Data collection techniques used tests and interviews with descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques. The results of this research showed that students who scored high in mathematical communication ability could write answers according to the indicators correctly and completely. In students who obtained a medium score, the student solved the problem according to the indicator but less precise and incomplete. While students who obtained a low score, these students have not been able to answer questions based on indicators of mathematical communication skills correctly and there are still many errors in solving the problems given. For future researchers to see students' mathematical communication skills can use other contextual problems. After analyzing the students' answers, the average result of students' answers is 72.23% which is categorized as moderate.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to classify research related to mathematics learning in children with special needs into several categories. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) research identifies, evaluates, and interprets research that is relevant to mathematics learning for children with special needs. Researchers reviewed 16 articles from 9 journal indexed by Scopus. The results of this research are in the form of classifying the content of the article into 5 categories, namely subjects, material, education level, methods, and student competencies, which can be used as recommendations in further research regarding mathematics learning for children with special needs. The classification results revealed that the most frequently studied research subjects were children with autism, accounting for 37.5% of the articles. In terms of instructional content, the most commonly explored topic was whole number operations, with a proportion of 42.86%. Regarding educational level, elementary school emerged as the most common focus, appearing in 56.25% of the studies. As for research methods, both qualitative and research and development approaches were used in 18.75% of the articles, respectively. Meanwhile, in terms of student competencies, conceptual understanding was the dominant focus, discussed in 41.67% of the reviewed studies.

Abstract

Realistics Mathematics Education (RME) is an instructional approach that emphasizes the use of real-world problems and situations in mathematics teaching. This method is believed to significantly enhance students' mathematical literacy, which is crucial for their academic and everyday problem-solving skills. This systematic literature review aims to investigate the impact of RME on students' mathematical literacy by synthesizing existing research findings. A systematic review design was employed, focusing on studies that explore the relationship between RME and mathematical literacy. The Scopus database was utilized for bibliometric analysis, with the search term "mathematical literacy" restricted to article titles. Data extracted included author names, citation counts, titles, publication years, sources, publishers, and document types. The analysis revealed approximately total of 200 publications related to mathematical literacy were found with a total of 10,817 citations, resulting in an average of 54.1 citations per article, indicating a substantial body of research on this topic. Notable trends included the integration of computer-mediated learning and various pedagogical models. The findings suggest that RME is an effective pedagogical approach that promotes students' mathematical literacy through authentic and contextualized learning experiences. This review highlights the necessity of developing educational materials and teaching strategies that prioritize mathematical literacy, thereby enhancing students' proficiency in mathematics and preparing them for real-world applications.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning trajectory to stimulate students in solving problems related to the topic of systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV), packaged in the form of student activity sheets. This research employs a design research method of the validation study type, consisting of preparing for the experiment, the design experiment, and retrospective analysis. The research was conducted with 37 students from class VIII.1 at SMPN 9 Palembang. Data were collected through documentation, field notes, student activity sheets, and interviews. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, descriptive presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study resulted in the following learning trajectory: (1) Observing contextual problems related to SPLDV using the GoJek context, specifically the additional bonus for GoCar partners, (2) Students presenting data, including what is known and what is being asked from the problem. (3) Students create possible scenarios for the distances traveled by GoCar partners on weekdays (Monday–Friday) and Saturdays, (4) Students solve the problem, predict alternative solutions, and draw conclusions. The learning trajectory utilizing the GoJek context effectively aids students in understanding and resolving issues related to SPLDV.

Abstract

This study aimed to design a learning activity for the concept of translation using the Realistic Mathematics Education approach, incorporating the Snakes and Ladders game context. This context was chosen for its familiarity with students, making it an effective bridge to understanding the abstract concept of translation. This type of research was design research, specifically a validation studies, comprising the stages of preparation, design experimentation, and retrospective analysis. The research sample involved 16 students from Al Fatah Madrasah Aliyah Palembang, Grade XI, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. The results demonstrated that the context of the Snakes and Ladders game effectively facilitated students' understanding of translation through exploration activities, sketch modelling, and mapping on the Cartesian coordinate plane. Students could identify patterns and formulate the translation rule formally with minimal guidance. This study highlights that integrating game-based contexts within the RME approach can create meaningful learning experiences while enhancing students' comprehension of abstract mathematical concepts.
