Abstract

Matematika sosial dan numerasi merupakan kompetensi esensial yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa agar dapat berpartisipasi secara aktif dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Namun, hasil observasi awal menunjukkan masih banyak guru SMP yang menghadapi kesulitan dalam mengintegrasikan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) ke dalam proses pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya kemampuan guru dalam mengaitkan konsep matematika dengan konteks sosial dan budaya siswa, terbatasnya referensi pembelajaran berbasis numerasi kontekstual, serta belum terbentuknya komunitas belajar yang secara aktif mendukung penerapan norma matematika sosial di sekolah. Norma sosial dan numerasi yang digunakan berkonteks budaya Palembang yaitu makanan tradisional Palembang dan kain tradisional Palembang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan synchronous dan asynchronous dengan melibatkan 32 orang guru dari berbagai SMP di Kota Prabumulih. Kegiatan ini mencakup pelatihan, diskusi kelompok, dan pendampingan secara dalam mendesain konteks budaya lokal, seperti makanan tradisional dan kain songket Palembang. Hasil analisis pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi guru dengan nilai sebesar 0,714 serta respon peserta yang positif terhadap kegiatan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan komunitas belajar PMRI efektif dalam memperkuat norma matematika sosial dan numerasi.

Abstract

A tourism route is a sequence of tourist attractions visited. Students are familiar with tour activities and often plan tourism routes to visit several tourist attractions. Students' experience and knowledge about tourism routes can be used as a context for teaching the rule of product. Therefore, this research aims to design a learning trajectory for the rule of product using the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach in the Kerinci nature tourism route context. The research method used is design research with a validation study type, which consists of three stages: preparation and design, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis. The subjects involved in this research were 11 third-semester mathematics education students at a university in Jambi, Indonesia. The instruments include learning video recordings, student work results, field notes, and test sheets. The research results show that learning trajectories designed in the context of tourism routes can help students discover, understand, and use the rule of product in solving relevant mathematical problems. The learning tracjectory consists of four activities: making a list of Kerinci tourist attractions, determining the location of several tourist attractions on a sketch map, arranging tourist attractions in tourism routes, and solving problems regarding possible tourism routes. This research shows that the designed learning trajectory is vital in helping students discover and understand the rule of product and apply them to solving relevant problems.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika sering kali terputus dari pengalaman nyata siswa, membuat mereka kesulitan memahami konsep abstrak, seperti bilangan bulat dan operasinya. Ketidakpahaman siswa terhadap bilangan positif, negatif, serta operasi aritmetika sering menjadi hambatan utama dalam pembelajaran. Pendekatan PMRI menggarisbawahi pentingnya menggunakan konteks dunia nyata untuk menjembatani pemahaman ini, dengan permainan tradisional jejmok. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji Desain Local Instruction Trajectory (LIT) berbasis permainan tradisional Jejamok, untuk mengajarkan operasi bilangan bulat. Selain itu, penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis permainan terhadap penguasaan konsep bilangan bulat siswa serta mengevaluasi peran lesson study dalam meningkatkan kualitas perancangan dan implementasi aktivitas pembelajaran berbasis permainan pada siswa kelas 6 SDIT Insan Rabbani, Kotabumi, Lampung Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design Research dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah Validation Studies dengan tiga tahap utama: Preparing for the Experiment, Design Experiment, dan Retrospective Analysis. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan tes Teknik analisis data mengikuti model Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian sebanyak 82% siswa telah menunjukkan penguasaan konsep. Hal ini berarti pendekatan berbasis permainan tradisional Jejamok efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep bilangan bulat. Lesson study berperan signifikan dalam menyempurnakan desain pembelajaran, melalui proses kolaborasi antara guru, peneliti, dan rekan sejawat. Penelitian ini mendukung temuan sebelumnya yang menyatakan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis konteks budaya lokal dan kolaborasi dalam lesson study dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran konsep matematika

Abstract

Empirical research has demonstrated the necessity of a contextual, meaningful, and engaging approach to mathematics learning. Outdoor learning has emerged as a promising new approach to education; however, its implementation is encumbered by various challenges. The objective of this study is threefold: first, to describe the characteristics of outdoor learning-based mathematics learning; second, to identify the challenges of its implementation; and third, to analyze its implications for the design of mathematics pathways based on Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI). The present study employs a qualitative descriptive method, incorporating triangulation techniques in the data collection process. The research subjects include mathematics teachers and junior high school students from five schools in Jambi. The instruments employed in this study include observation sheets, interview guides, and documentation of outdoor learning activities. The findings of the study suggest that the fundamental characteristics of outdoor learning in the context of mathematics education encompass real-world activities, participatory involvement, and an exploratory approach. Teachers confront a range of challenges, including time constraints, assessment difficulties, and a paucity of teaching aids. The implications for the design of PMRI mathematics pathways are the importance of adaptive learning pathways, the utilization of local cultural context, and the provision of guidelines and technological support

Abstract

Spatial literacy is a vital math skill for students to learn during their three-dimensional geometry education. The two skills remain essential, yet most fifth-grade students struggle with spatial tasks. This challenge restricts their conceptual growth. The research examines fifth-grade students’ spatial literacy abilities and their error patterns to provide evidence for developing a Local Instructional Theory (LIT) on three-dimensional geometry. The research included 118 fifth-grade students (aged 10-11 years) from two public primary schools in Palembang who participated in a descriptive quantitative study with error analysis. The research data came from student performance on the spatial literacy diagnostic test and their error analysis records. The researchers applied descriptive statistics to determine average scores and establish performance levels for visualisation, reasoning, and communication skills. The researchers categorised student mistakes into four categories: procedural errors, conceptual errors, representational errors and communicative errors. The students produced results indicating significant differences in their performances. Students failed to perform basic procedural tasks, including spatial form comparison and application of formal notation, while they struggled with complex visualisation and the development of multiple-step spatial thinking and conceptual understanding. Students’ learning difficulties manifest as systematic errors, indicating that their challenges stem from complex, interconnected issues rather than random mistakes. The research results demonstrate that students need instruction which teaches them to develop their visualisation abilities, their reasoning skills, and explanatory competencies. The designs serve as an essential tool for uniting procedural fluency with conceptual understanding, leading to better spatial literacy in early geometry education.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menceritakan tentang pelatihan guru professional merdeka belajar dengan menggunakan colaboratif learning pada guru di Kota Pagaralam. Output yang tercapai dalam pelatihan ini guru dapat membuat rencana pembelajaran yang merdeka melalui pembelajaran yang kolaboratif. Pelatihan ini mencangkup 30 % teori dan 70% praktek. Pelatihan ini di laksanakan secara daring menggunakan zoom meeting, setelah pelatihan dilakukan post tes. Diskusi pendampingan guru dilakukan di whatsapp grup dan google classroom. Kegiatan pelatihanini berdampak positif untuk guru di Pagaralam terhadap penyusunan rencana pembelajaran yang merdeka, dari pengumpulan tugas per individu menghasilkan 90% guru dapat menyusun rencana pembelajaran yang merdeka, hal ini didapatkan dari evaluasi pengumpulan tugas yang dikumpulkan padda google classroom. Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to develop and assess the feasibility of learning videos, created with the Canva application, for matrix multiplication material for eleventh-grade senior high school students. The study employed a development research method using a development model combined with Tessmer’s formative evaluation, which includes the stages of preliminary, design, and formative evaluation (self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, and field test). The research subjects consisted of three expert validators, namely a content expert, a media/design expert, and a language expert, as well as eleventh-grade students involved in the one-to-one test (3 students), small group test (9 students), and field test (36 students). Data collection techniques included needs analysis questionnaires, walkthroughs or expert validation, student response questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments. Data analysis was conducted by calculating validity and practicality percentages using a Likert scale, and effectiveness was tested using a paired-samples t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The results indicate that the developed learning video falls into the very valid category based on expert assessments. Practical testing shows that the media is efficient and receives positive responses from students. Effectiveness testing at the field test stage reveals a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest scores, indicating that the Canva-assisted learning video is efficacious in improving students’ learning outcomes in matrix multiplication. Therefore, the developed learning video is declared valid, practical, and effective for use in eleventh-grade senior high school mathematics learning.Keywords: Canva; Matrix Multiplication; Mathematics; Media Development

Abstract

Learning whole numbers in the early grades of elementary school often poses challenges because students must understand abstract concepts and represent them symbolically. This study focuses on developing a Local Instructional Theory (LIT) for learning whole numbers using the Muara Enim melemang cultural context within the Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) framework. The research contributes both to the development of learning theory (LIT) and to improving the effectiveness of culturally based mathematics learning in Indonesian primary schools. The study employed design research (validation study) consisting of three stages: (1) the preliminary design formulated a Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) through curriculum analysis and contextual task design; (2) the teaching experiment tested the HLT in classroom practice to explore students’ strategies and interactions; and (3) the retrospective analysis compared the HLT and the Actual Learning Trajectory (ALT) to refine the emerging instructional theory. Findings reveal that the predicted HLT aligned with the ALT. Students successfully developed number sense counting, comparing, ordering, and performing simple operations through concrete representations of lemang. Difficulties mainly appeared in symbolic notation, such as using inequality signs and subtraction symbols. The study’s novelty lies in establishing a local culture-based LIT that bridges PMRI principles with ethnomathematics. Practically, it provides a contextual model teachers can adopt to enhance meaningful mathematics learning in early grades.

Abstract

Rendahnya capaian literasi matematika siswa Indonesia pada asesmen nasional maupun internasional menunjukkan perlunya peningkatan kompetensi guru dalam menyusun soal yang menuntut penalaran tingkat tinggi dan berbasis konteks nyata. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru matematika SMP di Desa Meranjat dalam mengembangkan soal tipe PISA dan Tes Kompetensi Akademik (TKA) berbasis kearifan lokal. Metode pengabdian ini dirancang berdasarkan pendekatan kegiatan PkM berbasis pelatihan dan pendampingan (training and mentoring model), yang menekankan alur sistematis mulai dari sosialisasi, pelatihan, produksi, digitalisasi, hingga implementasi untuk memastikan terbangunnya kompetensi guru secara berkelanjutan.. Sebanyak 33 guru mengikuti kegiatan, dengan analisis pre-test dan post-test digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan kompetensi. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman guru, dengan kenaikan rata-rata nilai dari 71,62 menjadi 91,17. Selain itu, guru mampu menghasilkan draf soal yang lebih berkualitas, memanfaatkan konteks budaya lokal seperti songket, pertanian, dan kuliner Meranjat, serta mempublikasikannya melalui platform digital, yakni Instagram. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pelatihan terarah dan pendampingan berkelanjutan efektif meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menyusun asesmen kontekstual, sekaligus mendukung penguatan literasi numerasi siswa di wilayah perdesaan.
