Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan soal-soal penalaran model TIMSS konteks Sumatera Selatan yang valid dan praktis dan untuk melihat efek potensial soal matematika tipe TIMSS konteks Sumatera Selatan terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX SMPN 9 Palembang yang berjumlah 29 orang. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 37,93% siswa menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis yang baik. Sebanyak 55,17% siswa menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis yang cukup dan sebanyak 6,90% siswa menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis yang kurang. Berdasarkan hasil tes tersebut, jika nilai rata-rata siswa siswa sebesar 39,24 dijadikan sebagai batas acuan, maka bisa disimpulkan bahwa 31,03% siswa memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis yang kurang, sementara 68,97% siswa sudah memiliki kemampuan pelanaran matematis yang cukup baik. Kata Kunci: Soal Penalaran; TIMSS; Konteks Sumatera Selatan  AbstractThe aim of this research was developing valid and practical TIMSS reasoning problem on mathematics context of South Sumatra. The subjects of this research were 29 students of class IX SMPN 9 Palembang. The method of research is the development of research. The results showed that 37.93% of students showed levels of good mathematical reasoning abilities, 55.17% of students showed levels sufficient mathematical reasoning ability and 6.90% of students showed levels of mathematical reasoning abilities are lacking. Based on the test results, if the 39.24 was determined as minimum limit of success, it means that 31.03% of students have less mathematical reasoning ability, while 68.97% of students already have sufficient mathematical reasoning ability. Keywords: Problem Reasoning; TIMSS; Context South Sumatra

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan buku ajar matematika tematik integratif materi pengukuran berat benda. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas I Abu Bakar Ash Siddiq SD IT Al Furqon Palembang yang berjumlah 27 orang. Metode yang digunakan pengembangan atau development research. Kevalidan tergambar dari hasil penilaian validator, dimana hampir semua validator menyatakan baik berdasarkan content (sesuai kurikulum dan materi), konstruk (sesuai dengan karakteristik/indikator yang ada) dan bahasa (sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa yang berlaku/EYD). Sedangkan kepraktisan tergambar dari buku ajar matematika tematik integratif yang telah dikembangkan dapat digunakan oleh siswa untuk belajar dan juga bisa dipakai guru dalam menyampaikan materi dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil tes siswa menunjukkan 9 orang siswa (33,3%) termasuk kategori sangat baik, 11 orang siswa (40,7%) termasuk kategori baik, 4 orang siswa (14,8%) termasuk kategori cukup, dan 3 orang siswa (11,1%) termasuk kategori kurang.The purpose of this research is to produce math textbook integrative thematic material objects weight measurements. The subjects were first graders Abu Bakar Siddiq Al Furqan SD IT Palembang totaling 27 people. The method used development or research development. Illustrated the validity of the assessment results validator, where almost all the validators declared either by content (appropriate curriculum and materials) , construct (according to the characteristics/indicators exist) and language (in accordance with the applicable rules of language/EYD) . While practicality is reflected in the thematic integrative math textbook that has been developed can be used by students to learn and teachers can also be used in presenting the material in the learning process. The test results showed students 9 students (33.3%) including the excellent category , 11 students (40.7%) categorized as good , 4 students (14.8%) categorized as adequate, and 3 students (11,1%) less category.

Abstract

Desain pembelajaran materi belah ketupat menggunakan kain Jumputan Palembang untuk siswa kelas VII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana penggunaan kain Jumputan Palembang dalam membangun pemahaman siswa mengenai belah ketupat. Siswa akan membandingkan luas daerah dua buah kain Jumputan, merancang dan membuat belah ketupat kemudian menggunting serta menyusunnya kembali menjadi suatu bentuk baru, menentukan luas daerah belah ketupat, membandingkan keliling dua buah kain Jumputan dan menentukan keliling belah ketupat. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas VII SMP Pusri Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan design research yang terdiri dari tiga tahap : preparing for the experiment, experiment in the classroom (pilot experiment dan  teaching experiment), dan retrospective analysis. Pada tahap preparing for the experiment, beberapa aktifitas dibuat menggunakan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI). Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan kain Jumputan Palembang dapat digunakan sebagai starting point dalam pembelajaran belah ketupat untuk siswa kelas VII SMP.The design learning rhombus using kain Jumputan Palembang for VII grade students. This research aims to investigate how to use Kain Jumputan Palembang to build student’s understanding on rhombus. Students were required to comparing the area of two cloths, designing and making rhombus then reshaping to new shapes, determining the area of rhombus, comparing the perimeter of two cloths and determining the perimeter of rhombus. Subjects were 30 first grade students of SMP Pusri Palembang. The study used a design research method consisting of three stages : preparing for the experiment, experiment in the classroom (pilot experiment and teaching experiment), and retrospective analysis. During the preparing for the experiment stage, instructional activities was designing utilizing of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach. The result of experiments showed that Kain Jumputan Palembang could be used as a starting point by first grade junior high school to learn rhombus.

Abstract

Menyelesaikan soal matematika  menggunakan konteks merupakan suatu cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu menggunakan kemampuan matematikanya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selain itu soal dengan menggunakan konteks akan mempermudah siswa dalam mensituasikan matematika kedalam konteks sehingga akan membantu siswa dalam menggunakan kemampuan literasi dalam menjawab soal, dan dapat menantang pola berpikir matematis siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Menghasilkan soal matematika model PISA menggunakan konteks Lampung yang valid dan praktis. Metode penelitian ini merupakan design research tipe development study. (Plomp, T., & Nieveen, N, 2007). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP AR-RAIHAN Bandar Lampung  dan SMP YADIKA Natar Lampung Selatan yang berumur maksimal 15 tahun. Dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan 15 butir soal PISA menggunakan konteks Lampung yang valid dan praktis serta mempunyai efek potensial terhadap kemampuan literasi matematika siswa.Solve a math problem using a context is a way that can be done by student to help them use their mathematics skills in everyday life. In addition problem using context will facilitate students in modeling the mathematics in context, so that will help the student to use their literacy skills in answering problem, and can challenge students mathematical thinking patterns. The purpose of this study was to Generate PISA math models using context Lampung valid and practical. This research method is a type of research design development study. Subjects in this study were students of class IX SMP Ar-raihan Bandar Lampung and SMP YadikaNatar Lampung which has aged up to 15 years. The result of this study was 15 items PISA uses Lampung context of a valid and practical and have a potential effect on students mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to design a learning path which can help students to understand fractions based on Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) approach. The subject is 30 students of 4th grade of PP Qodratullah Langkan. Method of this research is design research, Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) developed from learning activity series using context stacked beads. The implementation of this research in 3 stages: preparing the design experiment, conducting the learning (the design experiment), and retrospective analysis in order to contribute to Local Instruction Theory support to students in studying fractions. The designed Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) is then compared to Actual Learning Trajectory (ALT) students during the learning to analyze whether students learn or not from what has been designed in the learning sequence. A retrospective analysis of the implementation of learning suggests that the use of the stacking bead context can help students understand fractions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is aimeds to (1) produce the mathematics lesson plan based on social arithmetic Problem Based Learning (PBL) in class VII in viewed from the aspects of validity and practicality and to know the potential effects arising from the development of the lesson plan, (2) describe the characteristics of the lesson plan based on social arithmetic Problem Based Learning. The method of the study was the development research according to the type of formative research by Tessmer. The stages of development were  Self Evaluation, prototyping and product. The subjects were VII.1 grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Muaradua semester 2014/2015 academic year, consistive of 31 people. Data collection techniques used were documentation, walk-throughs, observation sheets, and test results. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of data analysis showed that in the mathematics lesson plan based on social arithmetic Problem Based Learning (PBL) were valid, practical, and had a potential effect. The lesson plan had a valid learning in the content, construct, and language experts based on the results of the validation stage of the expert review and the prototype  test on a small group stage, while the practical lesson plan obtained  from the revised test results of one-to-one and small group. Potential effects of the lesson plan was  known from the results of the field test and the results of the students final test. The results of the students final test showed 45.16% of the students were is very good category, 32.26%  were  good category, and 22.58% fair category. From the result of observation, the percentage average of students’ activity was above 81,25% included in very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) produce teaching materials based Cabri 3D material Three Dimensrions which is valid, practical, has a potential effect on the achievement of learning and explain the process of development, (2) describe the characteristics of teaching materials based Cabri 3D material Three Dimensions. In developing teaching materials, researchers through the preliminary stage and prototyping with groove formative evaluation. In the prototyping stage researchers involved class X SMA Xavierus Lubuklinggau. Data collection techniques used are documentation, walk-throughs, and the results of the test. This research-based teaching materials Cabri produce 3D material Three Dimensions valid and practical, and has a potential effect on the achievement of learning and self-sufficiency indicators of student learning. Validity of instructional materials in terms of compliance with the curriculum and the results of expert validation and test prototypes at the stage of a small group. The potential effect of this teaching material visible from the ability of students determines the position, distance and angle of the elements of geometry. The results of the evaluation study shows 3.13% category excellent value, 56.25 Good, 34.38 Enough, and 6.25 Less. From the observation unstructured during the learning process of students have the initiative to learn and utilize learning resources.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce problems enrichment math for the 10th grade Senior High School to train high-level thinking is valid and practical as well as determine the effect of potential problems math enrichment for the 10th grade  that has been developed on the results of students mathematics learning SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. The subjects were all students in 10th grade SMAN 1 Palembang. The method used is research development or Development Reserch through three stages: preliminary (preparatory stage and phase of development issues), formative evaluation or prototyping stage (stage of evaluation and revision phase) and the assessment stage. During the preparation stage (preliminary) conduct a review of the curriculum, determine the place and the subject of research, reviewing some of the literature, do designing item that will be developed. The item has the characteristics about the non routine, problematic, demanding reasoning, containing an association, or demanding communication skills do with prototyping. The next stage of formative evaluation: (1) self evaluation, (2) Expert Review, (3) one - to - one evaluation, (4) small group and (5) field test. Criteria for the success of this study is the product obtained in the form about math enrichment  for 10th grade valid and practical and has a potential effect. Prototype devices were developed about categorized valid and practical. Valid qualitatively illustrated by the results of the assessment validator, where almost all validators declared either by the content, construct and language. Valid quantitatively based analysis of items (the validity of the items) and practically drawn from the test results, which students can use the device with a good question (context recognizable, readable, does not give rise to a double interpretation, and according to the students train of thought). Problem produced a total of 18 questions. The problems spread to the cognitive level of 3 to 5. Based on the development process is to be obtained that the prototype device developed about who has had the potential effects on the learning outcomes of high school students, it is seen from the test results about math enrichment to the learning outcomes of students with 32% category of excellent, 44% good category, 13% adequate and 3% less category.

Abstract

The aims of the research are (1) to product content quantity PISA-like problems which validity and practicality, and (2) to know the potential effect of the content quantity mathematical PISA-like problems for mathematic literacy ability. The subjects of the research are student SMP AR-RAIHAN Bandar Lampung. The research method used is development research which consist of two stages, they are preliminary and prototyping. In the preliminary stage have been done analysis for research subject, curricula, analysis for content and manufacture of instruments. Meanwhile, in prototyping stage used formative evaluation which includes : self evaluation, one-to-one,expert review, small group, and field test. The data collection techniques used in the research were walk through (expert review stage) for knowing the validity of the content, construct, and language. Analysis one-to-one stage, small group stage, and quetionaire (small group stage)  for knowing the practicality; test results, quetionaire, and interview (field test stage) for knowing potential effect. Based on the data analysis of research, it can be concluded that:  1) this research produced 4 items of content quantity PISA like mathematical problems which are valid and practice.The problems declared valid based on comments about content, construct, and language by experts and  analysis in validity criteria; otherwise practical based on the student argumentation such as the problems can be understood by student and can be implementation properly; and 2) Of  content  quantity PISA like mathematical problems has potential effect on student. Based test result and questionnaire all based mathematical ability (KDM)  be used student for answer questions.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a TIMSS characterized math problems that are valid and reliable. The method of this research is Design Research. The sample of this study were 31 students of SMP Negeri 1 Inderalaya. The procedure of this study through the stages of Preliminary Evaluation and Formative Evaluation. Based on the results obtained 7 of TIMSS characterized with characteristics (1) using real-life contexts, (2) using characteristics of TIMSS, and (3) the type of problem-solving that problem logically and empirically valid  and reliable. Valid logically be fulfilled from the results of the assessment validator, where the validator comment on the terms of the content, construct, and  language. Valid empirically criteria for both internally for items validity and externally for the whole items validity. Items also expressed reliable with a high level of confidence as the test instrument through items with the analysis result reliability coefficient of 0,703.
