Abstract

This study aims to reconstruct teacher competencies through the lens of prophetic pedagogy by examining the Nabawi method of student error correction as articulated in Manhaj an-Nabawi fī Taqwīm al-Akhtā' by Muhammad Yusuf Al-Shatti. It seeks to address the theoretical gap in contemporary Islamic education literature by positioning error correction as a distinct analytical lens for understanding remedial teacher competencies. This research adopts a qualitative library research design employing interpretive text analysis and qualitative content analysis. The primary data source is Al-Shatti's work on Nabawi error correction, supported by contemporary scholarly literature on prophetic pedagogy, teacher competencies, and humane disciplinary approaches. Data were collected through close reading, thematic coding, and conceptual categorization, followed by thematic analysis to reconstruct communicative, psychological, spiritual, and strategic teacher competencies. Data credibility was ensured through source triangulation and thick description. The findings reveal that, within Nabawi pedagogy, student error is constructed as an inherent human phenomenon and a formative educational entry point rather than a disciplinary violation. Error correction is characterized by gradual instruction, empathy, dignity preservation, emotional safety, and moral justice. These principles give rise to integrative remedial teacher competencies that emphasize ethical communication, psychological regulation, restorative engagement, and spiritual orientation. This study offers an original contribution by reconstructing prophetic pedagogy as a coherent competency-based educational framework rather than a set of normative moral exemplars. It provides practical guidance for educators and policy makers seeking humane, dignified, and ethically grounded approaches to student discipline while enriching contemporary educational theory with a moral-spiritual perspective.

Abstract

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including the spread of religious teachings. 'Aisyiyah Branch (PRA) Joyosuran faces challenges in the cadre and members' understanding of compulsory worship in accordance with Tarjih Muhammadiyah. This service program aims to improve 'Aisyiyah members' understanding of compulsory worship through workshops and the use of the Kader-Mu digital application. The methods used include Focus Group Discussion (FGD), workshop and practice, and evaluation using pretest and posttest. The results obtained showed an increase in members' understanding after participating in the activity, with an increase in the average pretest score of 84 to 95 in the posttest. Statistical evaluation through paired t-test showed a significant increase in members' understanding of Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan. Thus, this program makes a real contribution in supporting digital da'wah and strengthening regeneration in the 'Aisyiyah environment, especially for the Joyosuran branch.

Abstract

This article aims to conduct an in-depth examination of the role of understanding human nature in constructing a value-based paradigm of Islamic education. The background of this study is grounded in the observed weakness of the spiritual and ethical dimensions within modern education systems, which tend to be pragmatic and cognitively centered, as well as the lack of integration of transcendental values in contemporary Islamic educational practices. The research adopts a qualitative approach using normative-philosophical methods and library research techniques. Data are critically analyzed through a textual study of classical and contemporary works in Islamic educational philosophy, Islamic anthropology, and relevant educational documents. The findings reveal that understanding human nature as a being composed of physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual dimensions has direct implications for the design of Islamic educational systems. Islamic education must be holistically structured through three foundational pillars: an ontological understanding of the human being, education as a process of value internalization, and the integration of spiritual and social values into the curriculum and instructional practices. The practical implications include the development of a tawhid-based curriculum, reflective and participatory learning strategies, the teacher’s role as murabbi (nurturer) and muaddib (ethical guide), an evaluation system that assesses character and spirituality, and a learning environment that functions as a value-based ecosystem. The article concludes that an Islamic education grounded in the understanding of human nature not only offers a solution to the value crisis in modern education but also serves as a strategic framework for nurturing a generation of insan kamil individuals who are intellectually excellent, spiritually mature, and socially responsible. This study contributes both theoretically and practically to the development of a more humanistic and transformative Islamic education system.

Abstract

Marriage is a vital institution that fosters a harmonious family structure. However, the high divorce rate is a concerning phenomenon, with the primary causes often related to communication problems, infidelity, and differing values. Ethical values, such as honesty, empathy, and mutual respect, are believed to play a crucial role in preventing marital discord and strengthening communication between partners. This study aims to investigate the role of ethical values in preventing marital discord and building family harmony, with a focus on the application of ethical principles in the Indonesian cultural context. The methodology used in this study is a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review, analyzing various relevant scientific articles to assess the impact of the application of ethical values on marital and family harmony. The results of the study indicate that the application of strong ethical values in marital relationships can improve effective communication, prevent conflict, and strengthen relationship stability. Couples who share the same ethical values tend to have higher levels of marital satisfaction and are better able to manage conflict constructively. In conclusion, the application of ethical values in marriage has a positive impact on preventing conflict and maintaining family harmony, especially in societies with social and cultural norms that emphasize the importance of moral responsibility between partners. This study also suggests the importance of an approach that integrates ethical values into social policy to create stable and harmonious families.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the psychological characteristics of the Children of Israel as described in the Qur'an through an analysis of Sayyid Qutb's Fi Zilal al-Qur'an, with a focus on collective behavior patterns and historical factors that shaped their characteristics, such as rebelliousness, materialistic tendencies, racial arrogance, inconsistency in faith, and dependence on worldly power. This study uses a qualitative method with a library research approach, combining thematic analysis of Qur'anic verses and a psychological-historical approach to understand their psychological dynamics in the context of oppression and liberation. The results of the study show that, according to Sayyid Qutb, the character of the Children of Israel was the result of collective trauma caused by slavery in Egypt, which gave rise to spiritual inferiority, defiance of God's commands, and a materialistic orientation that shifted divine values. racial and intellectual arrogance reflects a deviation in understanding the concept of the “chosen people,” while inconsistency in faith represents spiritual hypocrisy that weakens monotheism. Qutb viewed this pattern as a universal phenomenon that serves as a warning to all of humanity not to get caught up in formal religious practices without spiritual depth. The main value of this research lies in its contribution to enriching thematic interpretation studies through a psychological-historical approach, emphasizing the relationship between human inner conditions and historical experiences in the formation of religious character, and encouraging Muslims to cultivate authentic, humble faith oriented towards the mandate of revelation, rather than outward symbols or claims of group superiority.

Abstract

PAI learning in schools still tends to be uniform and teacher-centered, so it is not fully able to accommodate individual differences of students. In the context of the Independent Curriculum, differentiated learning is a relevant approach because it is in line with the spirit of "independent learning" and Islamic values such as justice ('adl), compassion (rahmah), and responsibility (amanah). The purpose of this study is to examine the concepts, principles, and implementation of differentiated learning in PAI based on theoretical reviews and scientific literature, as well as analyze the relevance of this approach to the development of students' Islamic character and values. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach . Data was obtained from various written sources such as books, scientific articles, academic journals, and the results of previous research that discussed the concept of differentiation in the context of Islamic education. The results of the study show that differentiated learning in PAI can be applied through three main strategies, namely content, process, and product differentiation. This strategy allows teachers to adjust the material, methods, and forms of evaluation according to students' abilities and interests. Islamic principles such as justice, compassion, and responsibility become the theological foundation in its implementation, so that learning not only improves academic results, but also shapes the spiritual and moral character of students. The main obstacles to the implementation of this approach include the limitations of teacher competence, infrastructure, and the learning paradigm that is still teacher-centered. Therefore, continuous training, collaboration between educators, and learning innovations are needed to support optimal implementation. differentiated learning in Islamic Religious Education makes a significant contribution to the creation of an adaptive, humanist, and learning process based on Islamic values. This approach not only increases the effectiveness of learning, but also strengthens the purpose of Islamic education in forming a generation of faithful, knowledgeable, and noble character.

Abstract

Introduction and development of children's potential at the elementary school level play a crucial role in shaping students' academic, social, emotional, and moral development. However, studies addressing the development of children's potential in primary education tend to focus more on measurable learning outcomes and formal assessments, while research on school strategies, particularly in the context of integrated Islamic elementary schools, remains relatively limited. This study aims to examine the strategies employed by integrated Islamic elementary schools in identifying and developing children's potential from an early age, as well as to identify the factors that support and hinder the implementation of these strategies. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design conducted at one of the integrated Islamic elementary schools in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal and class teachers, observation of learning activities, and analysis of school documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and main themes related to the strategies for recognizing and developing children's potential. The findings of this study show that the school implements a holistic and sustainable approach to identifying children's potential through systematic observation, differentiated learning, and intensive communication with parents. The development of both academic and non academic potential is integrated into learning activities, extracurricular activities, and character-building practices that align with the values of integrated Islamic education. Teachers' commitment, school management support, and parental involvement are key supporting factors, while limited time and the diversity of students' characteristics present challenges in the implementation of these strategies. Theoretically, this research enriches the study of school strategies in developing children's potential in primary education. Practically, the findings of this study can serve as a reference for elementary schools, particularly integrated Islamic schools, in designing contextual and sustainable strategies for developing children's potential.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The transformation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) has become an urgent necessity in responding to the dynamics of democracy, cultural diversity, and the challenges of the digital era, which generate new moral issues such as intolerance, hate speech, and weak ethical conduct in the use of technology. This study aims to analyze an integrative model for transforming PAI through the perspectives of democracy, multiculturalism, and digital literacy grounded in Islamic values. The research employs a qualitative approach with an in-depth literature review of classical and contemporary Islamic educational theories, concepts of democracy and multiculturalism, digital ethics literature, and the thought of Shaykh Hamza Yusuf regarding adab and modern morality. The findings indicate that integrating democratic values into PAI strengthens dialogical and participatory cultures, while Islam-based multicultural education cultivates tolerance and empathy amid diversity. Furthermore, digital literacy and digital ethics must be positioned as core components of learning to address the moral challenges of the technological era. This study proposes a four-dimensional model for the transformation of PAI spirituality, democracy, multiculturalism, and digital ethics relevant to contemporary curriculum development and educational practice. In conclusion, an integratively transformed PAI is capable of shaping learners who are morally upright, digitally literate, tolerant, and civil.
