Abstract

Waste is a common issue in daily life that requires serious attention to be managed effectively. At the Aikmel Timur Village Office, waste management plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and comfort in the work environment. To raise awareness among all village office staff about the importance of environmental cleanliness, a different approach is needed to encourage them to dispose of waste properly and orderly. Traditional trash bins often rely on manual systems to open, which can be inconvenient, especially when both hands are occupied or the system is unhygienic. As part of an internship program, I contributed to developing an innovation in the form of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic trash bin. This innovation utilizes Arduino Uno and integrates key components such as the HC-SR04 sensor, servo motor, buzzer, and an adapter circuit. The HC-SR04 sensor detects the presence of waste intended for disposal, the servo motor serves as an automatic mechanism to open and close the bin, and the buzzer acts as an audio indicator to notify users that the system is active and ready for use. The development method began with identifying problems through a survey of workplace needs, followed by system design and implementation, as well as functional evaluation and benefit analysis. The result of this innovation is the creation of an automatic trash bin that not only facilitates waste disposal but also raises awareness about the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness. Through this internship activity, it is hoped that this innovation can serve as a model to be widely implemented in villages, supporting better waste management practices. Abstract

Maternal and infant morbidity and mortality rates can be prevented by preparing for pregnancy during the pre-pregnancy period. One indicator of the success of development in the health sector is the maternal and infant mortality rate, which represents the quality of maternal health. Pregnancy planning is an important effort to prevent high-risk pregnancies. Reproductive health plays an important role in the prospective bride and groom's ability to conceive offspring, thus preparation need to be well planned. It is by providing guidance and information, as well as pre-marital counseling to prospective brides and grooms, because the quality of marriage is determined by the preparedness and maturity of both prospective marriage partners in facing married life. The aim of carrying out this activity was to increase the knowledge of prospective brides and grooms about reproductive health to prepare for pregnancy. The method used was through counseling in several stages, starting from the preparation stage, implementation and evaluation stage. At the implementation stage, the material is delivered and leaflets were distributed to participants. The community service activities were carried out at KUA Juang City District. Juang City District, Bireuen, Aceh on May 22, 2024. The results of the implementation of this activity showed an increase in the knowledge of the prospective bride and groom, as evidenced by the discussion session, participants were enthusiastic in asking questions and during the evaluation, the prospective bride and groom understood the content of the material that had been presented. Health assistance from the pre-marital period needs to be a priority program to support efforts to increase the pregnancy readiness of prospective mothers.

Abstract

Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) remain major health challenges in developing countries, driven by socioeconomic disparities, limited education, and poor healthcare access. Lack of knowledge about prenatal care is a key factor. This review examines the impact of health education on reducing maternal and infant mortality and provides evidence to support stronger health programs and policies.Findings show that health education enhances pregnant women’s knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to pregnancy and infant care. Prenatal checkups help detect anemia, malnutrition, hypertension, and infections, allowing early intervention. Education also reduces anxiety, supports mental health, and improves birth outcomes.Despite its benefits, implementation faces barriers such as limited resources, insufficient healthcare personnel, poor access in remote areas, and cultural or socioeconomic constraints.In conclusion, health education is an effective strategy to reduce maternal and infant mortality. Developing culturally appropriate, sustainable, and accessible programs is essential to strengthen maternal services and improve outcomes for mothers and infants.

Abstract

Identity philosophy offers a framework for understanding how individuals define themselves and their roles in society, including in the context of gender. In the digital era, gender identity has become increasingly complex, covering a broad spectrum that goes beyond traditional binary categories. The ideological differences regarding gender roles between traditional views that base gender on biology and progressive views that view gender as a social construction are increasingly prominent in the digital space. Digital technology not only accelerates dialogue and transformation of understanding about gender but also strengthens ideological polarization.

Abstract

A theoretical review of the abuse of narcotics, alcohol, psychotropic substances, and other addictive substances (NAPZA) is a complex global problem with multidimensional implications, encompassing health, psychological, social, and economic aspects. This study aims to present a comprehensive theoretical review by reviewing key literature to identify in-depth the main implications of NAPZA abuse and evaluate the effectiveness of developed prevention and response strategies. The results of the review indicate that the implications of NAPZA are not limited to individual physical and mental damage (such as impaired cognitive function, depression, and the risk of infectious diseases), but also exacerbate family dysfunction and increase the socio-economic burden on the country. In the context of response, this study highlights a shift in focus from a retributive approach to an integrated multidisciplinary approach. Effective prevention strategies emphasize school- and family-based interventions, strengthening self-resilience, and relevant educational campaigns. Meanwhile, response emphasizes a rehabilitation model that combines medical therapy, psychosocial therapy, and social reintegration. This research provides a strong theoretical foundation for policy makers, health practitioners, and educators in formulating more adaptive and evidence-based intervention programs to address the challenges of drug abuse today.

Abstract

Celebrity endorser merupakan figur publik yang dipercaya untuk mendukung suatu produk guna membangun citra merek, menyampaikan pesan pemasaran, serta memengaruhi persepsi dan perilaku konsumen. Di era digital, keberadaan selebriti di media sosial tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat promosi, tetapi juga membentuk hubungan emosional yang dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan terhadap merek. Salah satu bentuk hubungan tersebut adalah parasocial relationship, yaitu hubungan satu arah antara konsumen dengan selebriti atau influencer yang terjalin melalui interaksi di media sosial.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh celebrity endorser dan parasocial relationship terhadap purchase intention melalui brand trust. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survei. Data akan dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada konsumen baru produk Glad2Glow yang pernah melihat konten celebrity endorser produk Glad2Glow. Teknik analisis data meliputi uji validitas, reliabilitas, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier berganda, uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami bagaimana pengaruh selebriti dan keterikatan emosional dengan figur publik dapat membentuk kepercayaan konsumen terhadap merek dan meningkatkan niat beli konsumen, khususnya dalam konteks pemasaran produk kecantikan.

Abstract

Education is a deliberate process designed to create a learning environment that facilitates students’ development. This study aims to describe the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students in science learning and the factors that influence them. Critical thinking skills are the ability to think using HOTS to analyze, interpret, evaluate, summarize, and combine various information to solve a problem wisely. Science is a scientific study that discusses living things and their interactions with the environment and the universe. The type of research used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were seven students of Sawunggaling Public Elementary School. Data collection techniques in this study used test, observation, interview, and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques in this study used data analysis according to Milles and Huberman. The results showed that the subjects wo were fifth grade students at Sawunggaling Public Elementary School were able to demonstrate critical thinking skills in the good category. Critical thinking skills in the very good category were achieved by subjects S1, S2, S3, S6, and S7. Critical thinking skills in the good category were achieved by subjects S5. Critical thinking skills in the sufficient category were achieved by subjects S4. Students’ critical thinking abilities are influenced by several factors such as internal and external factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of using quartet card media in improving students’ mastery of Arabic vocabulary. This research adopts a pre-experimental approach with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The data collected comprise both qualitative and quantitative types. Qualitative data were obtained through documentation and relevant literature reviews, while quantitative data were gathered through test results conducted before and after the implementation of the media. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 23. The findings revealed that the student’s average score in Arabic vocabulary before using of the quartet card media was 84, which increased significantly to 99 after the treatment. Moreover, the N-Gain Percent calculation showed a result of 87.5%, which is categorized as high. This indicates that the use of quartet cards as a learning medium is effective in enhancing students’ vocabulary acquisition. Therefore, quartet card media can be considered a valuable tool in Arabic language learning, especially for vocabulary development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola asuh orang tua single parent dalam membentuk karakter anak usia dini di Desa Tebaban Kecamatan Suralaga. Kehidupan keluarga dengan orang tua tunggal memiliki tantangan tersendiri, khususnya dalam pengasuhan dan pembentukan karakter anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, dengan data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap orang tua single parent serta anak usia dini sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua single parent menerapkan tiga pola asuh, yakni demokratis, otoriter, dan permisif, yang disesuaikan dengan situasi serta kondisi keluarga. Meskipun terdapat keterbatasan dalam aspek waktu, ekonomi, dan dukungan sosial, orang tua tetap berupaya menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter seperti kejujuran, tanggung jawab, disiplin, dan kemandirian melalui komunikasi, pemberian teladan, serta keterlibatan aktif dalam aktivitas anak. Kesimpulannya, pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua single parent berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter anak, baik dalam aspek kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, pola pendidikan di rumah, peran orang tua sebagai teladan, maupun kemandirian, dimana setiap orang tua single parent memiliki keinginan kuat untuk memberikan yang terbaik bagi anaknya.

Abstract

The digitalization era requires Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt through the utilization of information technology. Bank Sampah Mandiri Sandubaya, as an MSME engaged in both environmental management and community empowerment, had previously relied only on social media for promotion and information dissemination. However, this approach was insufficient to provide structured, credible, and well-documented information. This community service program aimed to develop an official website for Bank Sampah Mandiri Sandubaya and provide training and mentoring for its operators. The method employed a participatory approach through socialization, discussion, training, and evaluation. The results show that the website was successfully developed and operated by the partner’s staff. The website not only serves as a medium for promotion and information but also enhances professionalism in operational management and activity documentation. Thus, the website is expected to expand market reach, increase competitiveness, and support the sustainability of environment-based MSMEs.
