Abstract

Background: Temporomandibular disorder (TMD) is a collection of symptoms that causes pain and disturbs a person's life quality. One of the trigger factors is mechanical overloading. Mechanical overloading in occlusal disharmony conditions will lead to an inflammatory reaction in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ). This condition will induce nuclear factor Kappa Beta (NFkB) activation to transcribe proinflammatory cytokines and matrix metalloproteinase-13 (MMP13) and will also degrade condylar cartilage as a major factor in strengthening the TMJ. Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze the expression of NFkB and MMP13 in the condylar cartilage of TMJ with occlusal disharmony. Methods: This research was an experimental study with post-test-only control group design. Twenty Rats (Rattus norvegicus) were divided into four groups: One control group without any intervention and three experimental groups. Occlusal-reducing intervention was due on the right molar of the experimental groups, which were divided into the 7th, 14th, and 21st days. Immunohistochemical staining was performed to determine the expression of NFkB and MMP13 in the condylar cartilage. The data were analyzed by using the Welch test and independent t-test. Results: There were significant differences in NFkB and MMP13 expression between the control and experiment experimental groups (p<0.05). NFkB expression increased on the 7th, 14th, and 21st days of observation. The MMP13 expression showed a significant difference between the control and experimental groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: Occlusal disharmony increases NFkB and MMP13 expression and could affect TMJ integrity and induce TMD. These findings are important for describing the mechanism of TMJ damage and developing potential alternative therapies to prevent further TMD.

Abstract

This paper discusses the implementation of transformational leadership by the Principal of Alfasihi Kindergarten (TK Alfasihi). Transformational leadership is considered crucial in creating an innovative and adaptive educational environment, particularly at the early childhood education level. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method to analyze how the Principal of TK Alfasihi applies the four dimensions of transformational leadership: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Data were collected through observations, interviews with the principal and teachers, and document analysis. The results show that the Principal of TK Alfasihi has successfully implemented a transformational leadership style, which has had a positive impact on teacher performance, student learning motivation, and the overall organizational culture of the school. The implications of these findings provide insights into the importance of transformational leadership in enhancing the quality of early childhood education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana penerapan perhitungan biaya relevan dan nonrelevan dapat mempengaruhi pengambilan keputusan terkait penerimaan atau penolakan pesanan khusus di CV Ady Irma Tadulako. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan metode analisis data berupa pemisahan biaya produksi tirai kayu anyaman ke dalam kategori relevan dan tidak relevan.Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa setiap ukuran pesanan khusus, mulai dari tirai berukuran 2 x 1 meter hingga 2 x 3 meter, menghasilkan keuntungan bersih apabila perhitungan hanya memperhitungkan biaya relevan. Biaya relevan meliputi bahan baku langsung, upah tenaga kerja langsung, dan overhead variabel, sedangkan beban seperti penyusutan aset dan biaya tetap lainnya tergolong ke dalam biaya nonrelevan.Oleh karena itu, keputusan untuk menerima pesanan menjadi rasional secara finansial jika pendapatan yang diperoleh melebihi jumlah biaya relevan yang dikeluarkan. Kesimpulannya, analisis biaya relevan terbukti menjadi alat bantu manajemen yang efektif dalam pengambilan keputusan jangka pendek, serta berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan efisiensi operasional dan profitabilitas perusahaan.

Abstract

The development of nutrition program implementation has increased the need for systematic evaluation, particularly regarding the free nutritious meal program. Although the program provides substantial benefits, it also presents various evaluation challenges that may affect policy effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the influence of the implementation of the AHP method, the implementation of the SAW method, weight gain evaluation, height gain evaluation, BMI gain evaluation, attendance improvement evaluation, and nutritional intake improvement evaluation on the effectiveness of the free nutritious meal program for school-age children using a Decision Support System based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). The study population consists of school-age children (6–18 years old) participating in the nutrition program. Sample selection was carried out using purposive sampling with longitudinal data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013–2014, resulting in 2,539 respondents with complete data. The analytical methods used include AHP for determining criteria weights, SAW for scoring program effectiveness, Consistency Ratio analysis for testing AHP matrix consistency, and hypothesis testing using t-test and F-test with IBM SPSS version 26.0 and Python. The results indicate that the AHP matrix demonstrates excellent consistency, with a Consistency Ratio (CR) of 0.0153, suggesting high reliability in expert assessments. The weighted criteria obtained were: weight gain (41.6%), height gain (26.2%), BMI gain (16.1%), attendance improvement (9.9%), and nutritional intake improvement (6.2%). The evaluation results categorized 69.1% of students as “less effective,” 30.0% as “moderately effective,” and only 0.6% as “effective.” Although all indicators showed positive improvements (weight +5.06 kg, height +6.07 cm, BMI +0.42, attendance +12.22%, nutritional intake +311 kcal), the overall program effectiveness still needs improvement. Hypothesis testing shows that all seven independent variables have a significant partial effect on program effectiveness (t-test, p < 0.05), and collectively, the variables significantly affect program effectiveness (F-test = 543.287, p < 0.05). The implications of these findings can serve as a reference for program implementers to enhance nutritional interventions, health monitoring, and evaluation strategies to improve program outcomes for school-age children.   Keywords: Program Evaluation, Decision Support System, AHP-SAW, Free Nutritious Meal, Child Health   Abstrak Perkembangan implementasi program gizi mendorong meningkatnya kebutuhan evaluasi sistematis, terutama untuk program makan bergizi gratis. Kemudahan yang ditawarkan program ini diiringi dengan berbagai tantangan evaluasi yang dapat memengaruhi efektivitas kebijakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh implementasi metode AHP, implementasi metode SAW, evaluasi peningkatan berat badan, evaluasi peningkatan tinggi badan, evaluasi peningkatan BMI, evaluasi peningkatan kehadiran, dan evaluasi peningkatan asupan nutrisi terhadap efektivitas program makan bergizi gratis pada anak usia sekolah dengan menggunakan Sistem Pendukung Keputusan berbasis Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) dan Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia sekolah (6-18 tahun) yang mengikuti program nutrisi. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan data longitudinal dari National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013-2014, menghasilkan 2.539 responden dengan data lengkap. Teknik analisis data meliputi AHP untuk pembobotan kriteria, SAW untuk scoring efektivitas, uji konsistensi menggunakan Consistency Ratio, dan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t dan uji F dengan bantuan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS versi 26.0 dan pemrograman Python. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan matriks AHP mencapai konsistensi excellent dengan Consistency Ratio (CR) sebesar 0.0153, mengindikasikan keandalan tinggi dalam expert judgment. Bobot kriteria yang diperoleh adalah: peningkatan berat badan (41.6%), peningkatan tinggi badan (26.2%), peningkatan BMI (16.1%), peningkatan kehadiran (9.9%), dan peningkatan asupan nutrisi (6.2%). Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan 69.1% siswa berkategori "kurang efektif", 30.0% "cukup efektif", dan hanya 0.6% "efektif". Meskipun terdapat peningkatan positif pada semua indikator (berat badan +5.06 kg, tinggi badan +6.07 cm, BMI +0.42, kehadiran +12.22%, asupan nutrisi +311 kkal), efektivitas program secara keseluruhan masih perlu ditingkatkan. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa ketujuh variabel independen berpengaruh signifikan secara parsial terhadap efektivitas program (uji t: p < 0.05), dan secara simultan seluruh variabel berpengaruh signifikan terhadap efektivitas program (uji F = 543.287, p = 0.000 < 0.05). Implikasi dari temuan ini dapat menjadi dasar bagi implementer program dalam meningkatkan intervensi nutrisi, monitoring kesehatan, serta strategi evaluasi yang lebih efektif guna meningkatkan efektivitas program di kalangan anak usia sekolah.   Kata kunci: Evaluasi Program, Sistem Pendukung Keputusan, AHP-SAW, Makan Bergizi Gratis, Kesehatan Anak

Abstract

This study aims to develop a problem-based learning (PBL) tool for biodiversity that integrates the Marind Tribe's medicinal plant garden as a contextual learning resource in an agricultural vocational school. The development was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The results showed that the developed learning tool was highly valid in terms of content, construct, and integration with the local context. The practicality of the tool was reflected in the ease of implementation, clarity of instructions, and high student engagement. The effectiveness of the tool was demonstrated by a significant increase in students' critical thinking scores based on N-gain analysis, as well as increased environmental literacy and cultural awareness. The local context adopted from the Marind Tribe's medicinal plant garden successfully fostered an appreciation for ecological values and cultural wisdom. This study provides an important contribution to the development of learning tools that combine scientific, cultural, and contextual approaches as a form of ecopedagogy implementation. It is recommended that a similar approach be implemented more widely across educational institutions, taking into account their respective local cultural contexts. Further research is recommended to evaluate the long-term impact on environmental conservation and strengthening local cultural identity.

Abstract

This research discusses the problem of raw material inventory control at PT. X, a company engaged in providing high-quality label printing solutions. Monthly demand fluctuations cause irregularities in raw material ordering, leading to risks of stockouts or overstock situations that impact cost efficiency and production continuity. To address this issue, the study implements three inventory control methods: Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Periodic Order Quantity (POQ), and Min-Max. The effectiveness of each method is compared using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method with criteria including optimal quantity, ordering frequency, and total inventory cost. The results show that the POQ method is optimal for controlling inventory of vinyl, art paper, and castcoat raw materials, while EOQ is more suitable for lamination materials. The appropriate use of inventory methods has proven to reduce inventory costs and minimize the risks of stock shortages or overstock at PT. X.

Abstract

Critical thinking is the main provision in the problem-solving process. Meanwhile, problem-solving ability is one of the peak aspects in education. So the need for special procedures to stimulate students' critical thinking in learning. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills through the Project Based Learning Poster Product model. The type of research used is PTK or Classroom Action Research. The subjects of the study were 16 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri Menggermalang, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta in the PPKn subject on norms and rules in daily life. Data were collected using observation instruments, written tests, and activity documentation. The results of this study indicate that after the implementation of the Project Based Learning poster product model there was a significant increase in students' critical thinking skills. The pre-cycle score showed 0% completeness, the first cycle post-test score showed 53.86% completeness, and in the second cycle showed 76.92% completeness. It can be concluded that the application of the Project Best Learning poster product model can significantly improve elementary school students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Environmental literacy is important in modern education to encourage individuals to become more environmentally aware. This research aims to reveal research trends, research methods, education levels, and countries that conduct environmental literacy research. The technique used is bibliometric analysis. Sixty-eight documents indexed in the Scopus database were analyzed using VOSviewer and Biblioshiny, with publication years ranging from 2019 to 2024. The findings show that the survey method is dominant in environmental literacy research. Environmental literacy measurements in the adult group account for the largest number. Publications about environmental literacy increased significantly in 2020–2021 and 2023–2024. The United States is the leading country in environmental literacy research. Environmental education and environmental literacy are trending topics in this field of research. This shows that there is an increasing research focus on environmental issues in the educational context.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee engagement, to determine the effect of intrinsic motivation on employee engagement, to determine the effect of transformational leadership and intrinsic motivation on employee engagement. This research uses a quantitative approach. As for the population in this study are employees of PT. Telkomsel Medan Area Branch totals 65 people. Saturated sampling technique is a sampling technique when all members of the population are used as samples so that the sample used in this study is 65 people. The results of this study on hypothesis 1 obtained the results of tcount > ttable (2.534 > 1.998) with a significance level of 0.01 (0.01 < 0.05), it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of Transformational Leadership on employee engagement. Hypothesis 2 obtained the results of tcount > ttable (3.337 > 1.998) with a significance level of 0.00 (0.00 < 0.05), it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of intrinsic motivation on employee engagement. Hypothesis 3 there is an influence between Transformational Leadership and intrinsic motivation on employee engagement at PT. Telkomsel Medan Area Branch obtained Fcount > Ftable (10.120 > 3.145) with a significance level of 0.00 (0.00 < 0.05) thus H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted which means there is a significant influence between Transformational Leadership and intrinsic motivation to employee engagement. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant influence between Transformational Leadership on employee engagement at PT. Telkomsel Medan Area Branch, there is a significant influence between intrinsic motivation on employee engagement at PT. Abstract

E-worksheet merupakan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis elektronik yang disajikan dalam bentuk website. E-worksheet disusun berbasis pada kegiatan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning yang memuat materi pencemaran lingkungan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik SMA kelas X. Tujuan  dari  penelitian  ini  adalah mengembangkan e-worksheet berbasis problem based learning dan mengetahui kelayakannya untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran biologi untuk peserta didik kelas X SMA serta keefektifannya meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik kelas X SMA pada materi pencemaran lingkungan. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan model ADDIE, yang terdiri dari tahapan tahapan analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Subjek uji lapangan terdiri dari 27 peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan 27 peserta didik untuk kelas kontrol di kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu Selatan. Wawancara, angket, dan tes literasi sains adalah beberapa alat yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Metode validitas menggunakan metode uji kriteria yang direferensikan (CRT). Analisis data menggunakan skor n-gain dan uji Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-worksheet ini layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran biologi siswa di kelas X SMA. Mereka menunjukkan skor n-gain yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang sains, dengan skor kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,88 dengan kategori tinggi.
