Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Aptitude Treatment Interaction (ATI) learning model assisted by Arga Laragasil media in improving learning activities and learning outcomes in Civic Education (PKn) among elementary school students. This research employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design involving third-grade students of SD Islam Al Azhar 34 Makassar. Data were collected through observation of students’ learning activities and tests of learning outcomes. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing through a t-test to determine the effect of the ATI model implementation on students’ learning outcomes. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the ATI model assisted by Arga Laragasil media significantly improved students’ learning activities during the learning process. This improvement is reflected in the increased participation of students in discussions, group work, and classroom learning activities. Furthermore, the analysis of the learning outcome data shows that the average score of students increased after the implementation of the ATI model compared to the scores obtained before the implementation. The hypothesis testing results also reveal a significant effect of the ATI model assisted by Arga Laragasil media on students’ Civic Education learning outcomes. The improvement is influenced by the learning strategy that adjusts instructional treatment according to students’ abilities and the use of engaging and contextual learning media. Therefore, the ATI learning model assisted by Arga Laragasil media can be considered an effective alternative instructional strategy to improve the quality of Civic Education learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

Dhea Meisya Adriani, 2026. Improving Learning Outcomes through a ProblemBased Learning Model Integrated with the Cultural Values of A’bulo Sibatang in Social Studies Learning for Fifth Grade Students at SDN No. 6 Bilacaddi, Takalar Regency. Undergraduate Thesis. Department of Primary School Teacher Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar.Supervisor I: Kaharuddin Supervisor II: Fitri Yanty Muchtar This study aims to improve the Social Studies (IPS) learning outcomes of fifth-grade students through the implementation of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model integrated with the local cultural values of A’bulo Sibatang at SDN No. 6 Bilacaddi, Takalar Regency. The background of this research is based on the low learning outcomes of students in Social Studies, which are caused by the use of conventional teaching models, limited active student involvement, and the lack of optimal integration of local cultural values in the learning process. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 13 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and social attitude questionnaires. The data were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model integrated with the local cultural values of A’bulo Sibatang significantly improved students’ Social Studies learning outcomes. The percentage of students achieving learning mastery increased from Cycle I to Cycle II and met the predetermined indicators of success. In addition, the application of this model had a positive impact on improving students’ social attitudes, such as cooperation, responsibility, and respect for local culture. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model integrated with the local cultural values of A’bulo Sibatang is effective in improving Social Studies learning outcomes of fifthgrade students at SDN No. 6 Bilacaddi, Takalar Regency.

Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the implementation of the GQGA method was well implemented through the stages of preparing question cards and answer cards, carrying out question and answer activities, and evaluating learning. This method was able to increase students' courage in asking and answering questions, encourage active interaction between teachers and students, and create a more enjoyable learning atmosphere. The test results showed that the average student score increased from 68.50 to 89.75 with learning completeness reaching 100%. Thus, the Question-Giving and Answering method is effective in improving the social studies learning engagement and outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN Cambajawaya, Gowa Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers’ efforts to enhance students’ interest in reading and writing at SDN 12 Sarae in Bima City, identify the supporting factors and barriers that influence these efforts, and analyze the solutions implemented by teachers to address literacy challenges. This study employs a qualitative, descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the primary data sources being teachers and students, supported by learning documents and school literacy activities. The results indicate that efforts to increase students’ interest in reading and writing were carried out through various strategies, such as creative learning based on visual media, the use of reading corners, establishing a 15-minute daily reading habit before lessons, publishing students’ work, and providing recognition through literacy competitions. The success of this program was supported by the principal’s leadership, collaboration among teachers, the availability of technological facilities, and student enthusiasm. Meanwhile, the challenges faced include time constraints, a lack of variety in reading materials, low literacy support from families, and differences in students’ initial abilities. To address these challenges, teachers implement differentiated instruction, provide additional literacy guidance, utilize simple media made from recycled materials, conduct home visits, and recognize students’ work.
