Abstract

The world of education must be able to adjust to new typical conditions, such that some schools use online learning, blended learning, and face-to-face instruction. Currently, the transition period from pandemic to new normal is known as the period of adjusting government policies and the management capabilities of each school, so that in the transition of this condition in the world of education, it is necessary to change learning procedures, including the original learning media. Internet is a technological innovation that can be utilized to facilitate distance learning. The internet facilitates human communication, information access, and entertainment. YouTube, which is a social media network but also has advantages as a learning medium, is one of the most popular platforms. The objective of this research is to investigate and assess the current application of YouTube as a learning medium in the new normal era. The research technique employs a literature review of YouTube's implementation and usage as a learning medium in order to create an analysis of YouTube's implementation and use from the perspectives of educators and students at varying levels of education in order to facilitate learning.

Abstract

This study demonstrates that the advancement of technology has a significant impact on the use of images and videos as learning material, enhancing accessibility, interactivity, visual quality, and learning efficacy/efficiency. This study's objective is to examine the role of image and video elements in learning media that promote student independence. The research will give information on the effect of the utilization of images and videos on the independent learning of primary school children. Give information on how the usage of visuals and videos can boost the connection between information and elementary school students' comprehension. Utilizing the process of a literature review, the research gives recommendations on the use of images and videos to help students comprehend the subject matter, boost learning motivation, facilitate information storage, and foster creativity. Students' learning independence can be maximized by implementing techniques such as scaffolding, problem-based learning, inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, flipped classroom, and game-based learning. More research is required to analyze the efficacy of the use of images and videos, students' preferences for learning media, the adoption of optimization strategies, and the significance of images and videos in promoting primary school students' learning independence.

Abstract

Character education plays a vital role in the development of children's mature personalities. The lack of adequate character education strengthening in schools is an issue that requires attention. As facilitators, companions, and sources in the process of conveying knowledge to students about the importance of character education in elementary school, teachers must play a crucial role in the development of children's character. This study aims to analyze the role of teachers in assisting elementary schools in implementing strategies for improving elementary school students' understanding of character education in order to provide benefits in terms of understanding the obstacles in the application of character education in elementary schools and strategies that can be implemented, particularly for teacher-student communication. Using a literature review, this study determines the elements and tactics that can be implemented in primary schools to improve character education for pupils. Recommendations were made for schools based on the findings, including employing active learning techniques and incorporating character education values into all learning materials. Reflection and evaluation should also be conducted to assist students in comprehending and improving their character education-related behavior. To reach the true aims of character education, it is necessary to overcome obstacles such as schools' lack of preparedness, educators' lack of comprehension, and ineffective learning techniques.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are a reference to see whether the learning process is going well or not. Whether or not learning outcomes are influenced by various factors, one of which is the learning media used. This study aims to determine the effect of Google Classroom learning media on PJOK learning outcomes. This research is an experimental research. This research was conducted at TP 45 State Vocational Schools from November 2021 to December 2021. The sample in this study were all students of TP 45 State Vocational Schools class XP1 and XP2 for the academic year 2021/2022 even semester, a total of 70 people. The results in this study are that there is no influence from Google Classroom learning media on PJOK learning outcomes

Abstract

The tourism industry has made an enormous difference in terms of jobs, foreign exchange, and the building up of infrastructure. On the other hand, many infrastructures can make natural places look less attractive, which calls for sustainable tourism. It's vital to help small businesses get money through excellent digital infrastructure and to use public fiscal tools to ensure that natural resources are used sustainably. Infrastructure tourism was used as the title, abstract, and keywords in 6,377 documents from 1968 to 2023 found in the scopus.com database. It also shows 704 papers with the title, abstract, and article keyword "Renewable Energy Tourism" from 1990 to 2022. Based on research papers on scopus.com, Indonesia is ranked second in Asia for renewable energy tourism and first in ASEAN for infrastructure tourism. It's a perfect sign for the growth of tourism infrastructure and renewable energy tourism in Indonesia. Indonesia has many affiliations, including the University of Indonesia, the Bandung Institute of Technology, Gadjah Mada University, Bina Nusantara University, Diponegoro University, Brawijaya University, IPB University, Padjadjaran University, and Hasanuddin University. Research publications in Indonesia have received funding from the Ministry of Technology Research, the Directorate General of Higher Education, the Research and Service Institute, the Bandung Institute of Technology, the University of Indonesia, Airlangga University, and Diponegoro University. So, the infrastructure and Renewable Energy Tourism research are on track and in an excellent place to be published. Indonesia will lead the world.

Abstract

Aceh Singkil merupakan kabupaten dengan perkebunan kelapa sawit terbesar kedua di Provinsi Aceh, setelah Nagan Raya. Ada delapan pabrik kelapa sawit di Aceh Singkil, yang semuanya dikelola oleh perusahaan swasta besar (PBS). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan DEA untuk memperkirakan efisiensi pengolahan pabrik kelapa sawit. Kegiatan ini juga mencoba mengkaji unsur-unsur yang mempengaruhi hasil pengolahan pabrik kelapa sawit. Model CCR Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) digunakan untuk menganalisis langkah-langkah efisiensi. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua output yaitu nilai produksi CPO dan produksi Kernel serta tiga input yaitu jumlah karyawan pabrik, kapasitas produksi pabrik, dan nilai tandan buah segar yang masuk (TBS). Jika nilai efisiensi lebih dari 1, maka suatu Unit Pengambilan Keputusan (DMU) dapat dikatakan efisien; namun jika nilai efisiensi kurang dari 1 maka DMU dikatakan tidak efisien (inefficient). Hasil penelitian pengukuran efisiensi ini didapat nilai parameter 1 untuk tiga DMU yaitu PT. Delima Makmur (DM), PT. Perundingan Putra Persada (RPP), dan PT. Socfindo (SCF), termasuk dalam kategori efisien. Ada lima DMU yaitu PT. Perkebunan Lembah Bhakti I (PLB I), PT. Perkebunan Lembah Bhakti II (PLB II), PT. Singkil Sejahtera Sejahtera (SSM), PT. Nafasindo (NFS), dan PT. Ensem Lestari (ESM), yang nilai parameternya kurang dari satu, yang masih belum efisien jika menggunakan kategori variabel input dan output yang dianalisis oleh sistem ini. Tingkat efisiensi pengolahan pabrik kelapa sawit menggunakan metode DEA dari data input yaitu jumlah karyawan, kapasitas produksi pabrik, TBS masuk didapatkan bahwa jumlah input TBS masuk sangat berpengaruh pada tingkat efisiensi hasil produksi CPO dan Kernel sebagai output.

Abstract

Background. Student inactivity in social interaction is a serious problem in Indonesian higher education, it can affect the quality of language learning. The learning structure tends to be one-way from lecturer to student, creating a dynamic like an inverted pyramid, with limited social interaction. Therefore, this research aims to explore the role of social media in enriching social interactions and improving language learning in higher education environments. Purpose. The purpose of this research is to investigate and understand in depth the role of social media in increasing students' social interactions during the language learning process in Indonesian higher education. By achieving this goal, this research seeks to provide practical recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of language learning and creating a foundation for the development of more adaptive social media-based learning strategies. Method. This research uses a quantitative approach with survey methods. The questionnaire was designed using Google Form and distributed to 30 students who were studying Arabic and English at various universities in Indonesia. The data analysis technique adopts the Miles Huberman technique with a focus on students' understanding of the contribution of social media to increasing social interaction in language learning. Results. The research results show that students actively use social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp to discuss, share learning resources, and collaborate on learning projects. Evaluation of the integration of social media in learning materials shows that the majority of students think that lecturers have integrated social media well. Conclusion.` This research provides a comprehensive picture of the positive impact of social media in language learning in higher education. By involving increased interaction, collaboration, and understanding of language material, this research creates a foundation for the development of learning strategies that are more focused on social media integration.

Abstract

Background. Distance learning has become a major focus in the higher education context, especially in line with digital transformation and the global pandemic. The background to this change creates the need to understand students' perceptions of distance learning, especially in language learning at Indonesian universities. Purpose. This research aims to contribute to the development of a better learning system through a quantitative approach with survey methods. The aim of this research is to analyze student perceptions of distance learning and identify factors that can increase its effectiveness. Method. This research methodology adopts a quantitative study design with a survey approach. The research objects are language students at various universities in Indonesia. The research sample consisted of 30 respondents selected purposively, covering various demographic characteristics. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms, allowing participation of students from various geographic areas. Results. The research results showed that although students felt ready for distance learning, there were concerns regarding inequalities with face-to-face learning. The main challenges involve limited internet connections and communication difficulties. However, opportunities arise through easy access to materials and independent development of skills. Data analysis focuses on the interpretation of results, highlighting the importance of technological infrastructure and more effective communication strategies. Conclusion. The conclusion of this research is that a deeper understanding of student perceptions of distance learning can provide a foundation for improving learning experiences and effectiveness in the future. By understanding the challenges and opportunities students face, educational institutions can direct their efforts towards necessary updates and improvements, so that distance learning can provide a more meaningful and equivalent experience to face-to-face learning.

Abstract

Background. In the era of information and communication technology, the use of learning technology in Indonesia is increasingly widespread, including among young children. Today's children not only grow up in a technological environment, but also actively interact with digital devices from an early age. Early childhood literacy is key in understanding the influence of learning technology on their development. Purpose. The main aim of this research is to investigate to what extent and in what ways learning technology influences the literacy development of early childhood children in Indonesia. Through a quantitative approach and involving education students, this research seeks to provide a comprehensive picture of the positive and negative impacts of learning technology and identify factors that influence early childhood literacy. Method. The research employs a quantitative approach through a survey method, targeting 30 education students with a profound understanding of children's developmental stages. A questionnaire was crafted and disseminated through Google Forms to gather insights into students' perceptions and experiences related to the utilization of learning technology and its influence on the early childhood literacy development. The acquired data will undergo quantitative analysis techniques, emphasizing data reduction, presentation, and the derivation of conclusions. Results. The research results show that students have positive experiences in using learning technology, actively utilizing it, especially in the context of early childhood education. Positive perceptions also emerged regarding the influence of learning technology on literacy and motivation of young children. Its social and emotional impact is considered positive, contributing to the emotional well-being and social interactions of early childhood. Conclusion. The conclusion of this research is that learning technology has a positive role in enriching the experience of early childhood education in Indonesia. These positive impacts include increasing literacy, learning motivation, as well as social and emotional aspects of early childhood.

Abstract

Background. This research analyzes the role of Learning Technology in stimulating student creativity in foreign language learning in higher education. The research background highlights the importance of integrating learning technology in the context of higher education, especially in developing student creativity in foreign language learning. With the rapid development of Learning Technology, this research tries to measure and analyze its impact on student creativity. Purpose. The aim of this research is to identify the extent to which Learning Technology influences the level of student creativity, assess preferences and trends in technology use, and provide recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of technology use in supporting foreign language learning. With a quantitative approach through a survey model, this research combines a comprehensive research design to gain in-depth insights. Method. The research methodology includes creating a questionnaire that reflects key aspects, such as the type of technology used, frequency of use, and perceptions of creativity. Respondents were selected from university students who were actively taking foreign language courses, especially Arabic and English. Distribution of the questionnaire was carried out via Google Forms and WhatsApp groups, ensuring efficient participation. Results. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model allows for an in-depth interpretation of the relationship between the use of Learning Technology and the level of student creativity. The research results highlight students' positive views on the impact of creativity generated by the use of learning technology, especially in collaboration and developing speaking and writing skills. Conclusion. This research provides a solid foundation for understanding the role of Learning Technology in shaping students' foreign language learning experiences. These conclusions provide valuable information for higher education institutions and policy makers to continue to improve the integration of learning technology, create an environment that supports creativity, and enrich the foreign language learning process in the future.
