Abstract

This study aims to explore the acculturation and assimilation processes that ethnic Chinese in West Sumatra undergo upon converting to Islam, that the conversion does not lead to an outright abandonment of traditions. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive analysis approach, this research underscores how religious conversion fundamentally alters an individual's worldview and behavior. Converts to Islam are encouraged to earnestly learn and adhere to Sharia and Islamic teachings, initiating their spiritual journey with religious observances and distancing themselves from practices associated with their former beliefs. However, the conversion process is significantly influenced by one's environment, which plays a pivotal role in shaping the assimilation and acculturation experience of ethnic Chinese Muslims. This environment encompasses both familial and social contexts. The family environment, where individuals are connected by kinship—whether as children, spouses, or other familial roles—is marked by intensive interaction and communication. Yet, this close-knit communication does not necessarily guarantee a seamless conversion to another faith. Beyond the family, the surrounding social environment, including the workplace, extended family, and broader societal interactions, also impacts the conversion journey. Within these spheres, various factors either facilitate or hinder the process of embracing Islam for ethnic Chinese individuals. This study delves into these dynamics, examining the multifaceted influences on religious conversion and the subsequent negotiation between maintaining cultural heritage and adopting new religious identities. Through this analysis, the research seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between religion, culture, and identity among ethnic Chinese Muslims in West Sumatra

Abstract

Islam in media communication, examining its representation on platforms such as Instagram. The emergence of media ethnography, particularly in the context of digital media, and its relevance in studying diverse cultural artifacts, including Islamic content. The purpose of this study is to explain in general the principles and relationship between ethnographic media and Islamic cultural phenomena portrayed. As a research methodology, media ethnographic views all elements that are important in the digital world. Because communication can be interpreted with various symbols or symbols. Symbols can be in verbal and non-verbal forms, including Islamic ones. K.H. Ahmad Bahauddin Nursalim's ngaji online program is the case focused on in this study. The results first show that the principles of media ethnography in the online world can facilitate the interaction process. Second, in the context of virtual communication, media ethnography methods encourage the creation of effects on society, so that it can influence people’s culture and communication behavior in the virtual world. Third, Gus Baha, through his ngaji online, exemplifies the attitudes and behaviors of pesantren and Javanese culture, through the kitab kuning and Javanese language represented in his lectures. Fourth, the characteristics of his da'wah represent exactly the soul of Ki Ageng Suryomentaram.

Abstract

Efforts to develop children's character based on the application of religious culture are important for every early childhood education institution, but the implementation patterns are still limited. This research aims to describe the application of religious culture in early childhood education institutions in cultivating character to find application patterns. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with a single case study design conducted at one of the early childhood education institutions in Banyumas, Indonesia. Data search was carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis techniques used, data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion. The research results show that the application of religious culture has two main parts. The part related to the phasing pattern of cultivating religious values and the part related to various religious cultures and how to transmit them to children. The phasing pattern of cultivating religious values in children is carried out through introduction and training, which leads to habituation. Meanwhile, various religious cultures include cultures related to holy books, religious rituals, and places of worship. Religious culture is transmitted through the learning process and activities outside the learning process, including socialization, role modeling, and building communication between parents and institutions. Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the ice breaking method in increasing student learning motivation in the Islamic Cultural History subject at MA Ar-Rohmah Suren. This research uses a qualitative research approach. The results of this research indicate that the ice breaking method has been implemented at the MA Ar-Rohmah institution. At this institution the ice breaking method is implemented by several teachers. Teachers who implement the ice breaking method adapt to student needs or the situation in the classroom. Even though the implementation does not correspond to the stages of ice breaking, the purpose of implementing ice breaking has been felt by the students. When studying, students feel very motivated because there is a different atmosphere in the class or the learning time is more cheerful and enthusiastic. Students don't feel bored in class because there are breaks in boring learning, so that in the end students get excellent grades.

Abstract

Tourism is a promising sector in the country's foreign exchange earnings, especially with the emergence of tourism villages that are increasingly popular and become a development strategy in many underdeveloped areas. The development of tourism villages through the potential of natural resources, marketing strategies, human resource management, and community participation in all stages of management has the potential to improve the local economy and the standard of living of local communities. In addition, the development of tourism villages can also contribute to environmental conservation and preserve local wisdom. However, to achieve its full potential, it requires infrastructure development, sustainable management of natural resources, effective promotion, development of quality tourism products and services, and involvement and empowerment of local communities. All of these require collaboration from stakeholders to create an independent and sustainable tourism village development strategy. Based on the research method used, namely descriptive qualitative method, this research provides a clear picture of the social situation under study. Primary data were obtained from interviews, field notes, and documentation, while secondary data were obtained from literature studies and documentary data. In addition, semi-structured interview techniques were used to get open opinions and ideas from the informants. This research also uses a descriptive qualitative method. Non-participatory observation techniques to collect data systematically in the form of field notes. In addition, the internal and external factors of the tourism village were analysed using SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats). Then, source triangulation was conducted as one of the methods to check the validity of the data. Then collaboration was carried out using the Collaborative Governance model (TKK) with the Bichler and Lösch model.

Abstract

Noni fruit is one of the fruits that is looked down upon by the general public. Many noni fruit plants are allowed to grow wild, unkempt and noni fruit is also left to fall on plantations, yards and roadsides. In fact, noni fruit has extraordinary benefits such as curing stomach acid, cholesterol, high blood pressure (hypertension), gout, ulcers, cancer tumors and increasing stamina. This potential is not wasted by the target partner (UKM Wasiah Herbal) to process noni fruit into high-quality noni coffee powder. Various problems arise in the production process caused by very limited resources and capital. The assistance from the government through the manufacture of oven machines and roasting machines is able to simplify the production process very effectively. By using oven machines and roasting machines, UKM Wasiah Herbal produces noni coffee powder that has a high selling value. Both machines are able to cut long times and high costs, especially in the drying and roasting processes that previously used solar power and traditional tools. Both machines have also been tested before being handed over to the target partner. The trial results show that the effectiveness of the noni coffee production process is very fast, efficient and produces very satisfactory production for partners.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in the economic development of Indonesia. They significantly contribute to employment, local economic growth, and poverty reduction. However, MSMEs face challenges such as limited access to capital, technological gaps, and human resource development. This research examines the role of MSMEs in improving community welfare, focusing on their contributions to income generation, job creation, innovation, and local economic diversification. Using a qualitative approach and literature review methodology, this study synthesizes secondary data from various sources, including academic journals, government regulations, and statistical data. The findings show that MSMEs contribute to community welfare by creating job opportunities, increasing local production, and driving innovation. Key indicators of welfare, such as income, housing, education, and health, are influenced by the growth of MSMEs. The study concludes that strengthening MSMEs can enhance the economic well-being of Indonesian society, highlighting the need for government support to address existing challenges and ensure sustainable development

Abstract

The issue of delinquency among students is regrettable, as it deviates from the objectives of education, especially Islamic education. Islamic education, as the cornerstone of character development, becomes an important factor to examine in order to find solutions. This research was conducted using a qualitative method with a comparative analysis between two literatures, namely Minhajul Muta’allim by Imam Al-Ghazali and Tadzkiratussami’ Wal Mutakallim Fi Adabil Alim Wal Muta'allim  by Imam Badruddin Ibnu Jamaah. The study found that the character traits that should be developed in the world of education include purifying the soul, honoring the teacher, having good character towards oneself, and exhibiting good character towards the subject matter. All of these elements are essential to internalize Islamic values into the students' lives.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengarah dan memiliki titik tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan semantis pada penerjemahan kitab Adabul Alim wa Muta’allim karya Hadhratusyaikh Muhamad Hasyim Asy’ari yang dilakukan oleh Abu Hazim Mubarok. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif / al-bahts al-naw’iy al-washfiy melalui serangkaian langkah penyediaan data, analisis data dan penyajian data. Berdasarkan penelitian tersebut nampak hasil penelitian ini terdapat lima kesalahan semantik pada terjemahan kitab adab ‘alim wa muta’allim oleh Abu Hazim Mubarok dari kateogori hadits yang berasal dari qaul serta perbuatan dan ketetapan nabi dan atsar berupa perkataan sahabat Nabi Muhammad Saw. dengan rincian hadits pada halaman 15, 18, 27 dan 29, serta atsar pada halaman 25. Implikasi dari penelitian ini yaitu adanya pemahaman terhadap penerjemahan model terjemahan semantik untuk meningkatkan kualitas penerjemahan sesuai konteks penerjemahan semantik sehingga karakteristik bahasa dalam konteks terjemah dapat sesuai dengan pemaknaan yang sesuai dengan konteks karakteristik bahasa sasaran. This research aims to describe semantic errors in the translation of the book Adabul Alim wa Muta'allim by Hadhratusyaikh Muhamad Hasyim Asy'ari carried out by Abu Hazim Mubarok. The method in this research is a descriptive qualitative method / al-bahts al-naw'iy al-washfiy through a series of steps in providing data, analyzing data and presenting data. Based on this research, the results of this research show that there are five semantic errors in the translation of the book of adab 'alim wa muta'allim by Abu Hazim Mubarok from the category of hadith originating from qaul as well as the deeds and decrees of the prophet and atsar in the form of the words of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad Saw. with details of hadith on pages 15, 18, 27 and 29, as well as atsar on page 25. The implication of this research is that there is an understanding of the translation of the semantic translation model to improve the quality of translation according to the semantic translation context so that the language characteristics in the translation context can be in accordance with the intended meaning. according to the context of the characteristics of the target language.

Abstract

Focus Studio merupakan Studio Foto yang terletak di kota tegal Focus Studio menyediakan jenis pilihan kategori foto yang sesuai keinginan pelanggannya. Adapun masalah yang terjadi pada studio ini adalah sistem pemesanan  yang diilakukan secara manual sehingga masih memakan waktu yang lama. Dalam perkembangan teknologi dijaman sekarang, fotografi cukup berkembang pesat. Dari hasil analisa yang dilakukan, penulis bermaksud untuk membantu permasalahan yang ada pada Focus Studio yaitu dengan membuat sistem informasi pemesanan berbasis website. Pembangunan sistem informasi ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) dan menggunakan database MySql. Dengan adanya sistem informasi pemesanan studio foto berbasis website diharapkan dapat mempermudah proses transaksi, pengolahan data laporan. Sehingga dapat mempermudah pihak studio dan pelanggan dalam melakukan pemesanan secara langsung maupun secara online
