Abstract

Sustainable business transformation has become a cornerstone of modern corporate strategy in addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges. The Sustainability-Led Innovation (SLI) approach provides an innovation framework that embeds sustainability principles into business models, fostering organizational adaptability and long-term value creation. This study aims to (1) identify the mechanisms for integrating SLI into sustainable business models, (2) evaluate SLI’s contribution to competitive advantage, and (3) analyze the development of dynamic capabilities to support sustainability initiatives. By combining the Sustainability-Driven Business Model Innovation (SBMI), Dynamic Capability Theory (DCT), and Triple Bottom Line (TBL) frameworks, this qualitative research utilizes in-depth interviews and document analysis of culinary SMEs in Malang. Findings reveal that organizations adopting SLI achieve higher operational efficiency, respond more agilely to regulatory changes, and attract stronger consumer loyalty. These insights underscore the necessity of embedding sustainable innovation strategies into long-term business planning to secure resilient competitive advantage.

Abstract

This paper provides a comprehensive examination of the concept and implementation of skill management as a cohesive set of competencies encompassing technical, interpersonal, conceptual, and strategic skills within organizational and entrepreneurial contexts. The background highlights the critical role of skill management in addressing the challenges posed by a highly competitive and rapidly evolving business environment, where mastery of these competencies determines both individual and organizational effectiveness in planning, organizing, leading, and controlling resources to achieve collective objectives. Grounded in a literature review of seminal works by Robbins & Coulter, Katz, Drucker, Mintzberg, Armstrong, and Barney & Hesterly, this study adopts a structured approach that covers definitions, classification of skill types, their roles in organizations, development strategies, implementation challenges, and applications in entrepreneurship. The findings indicate that: (1) technical, human, and conceptual skills are complementary across different managerial levels; (2) skill development requires a blend of formal education, field practice, mentorship, and technology utilization; (3) primary challenges include technological adaptation, complexity of decision-making, and limitations in training resources; and (4) in entrepreneurial ventures, effective skill management is fundamental to planning, finance, human resources, innovation, and communication. In conclusion, skill management should not be viewed as a static competency but as a strategic asset that must be continuously enhanced through lifelong learning, enabling both individuals and organizations to sustain growth and resilience in the era of globalization and digital transformation.

Abstract

Innovation is a key element in improving business competitiveness and sustainability. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to analyse the relationship between resources and innovation strategies in entrepreneurship. A total of 22 Scopus-indexed articles were reviewed using the PRISMA approach, focusing on the types of resources (human, financial, technological, informational, and physical) and forms of innovation (product, process, and managerial). The results show that product innovation is largely supported by human resources and technology, where the skills and creativity of the workforce play an important role in the development of new products. Process innovation relies on technology and information, especially in production efficiency and operational digitalisation. Meanwhile, managerial innovation is closely related to human resource management and organisational strategy, which enables companies to be more adaptive to market changes. This study enriches the Resource-Based View (RBV) and Dynamic Capabilities theories, and provides insights for entrepreneurs and policy makers in developing resource-based innovation strategies. In conclusion, successful innovation in entrepreneurship depends on optimal resource utilisation and appropriate policy support to create sustainable innovation.

Abstract

the digital and globalization era, entrepreneurs face complex challenges related to intellectual property rights (IPR) violations, such as piracy, brand counterfeiting, and idea theft. This phenomenon not only has an impact on the legal aspect, but also creates significant business ethics dilemmas. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the application of business ethics and IPR protection in the context of entrepreneurship, and to explore how the integration of the two can improve business competitiveness and sustainability. The methodology used is a qualitative literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach, reviewing various sources such as scientific journals, legal regulations related to IPR, and case studies of entrepreneurs who apply ethical principles and IPR protection. The results of the study indicate that the application of strong business ethics has a significant impact on the awareness and compliance of business actors in protecting intellectual property. Meanwhile, an understanding of IPR law can encourage innovation and create a fair and sustainable business climate. This is in accordance with the theory of the application of business ethics, IPR protection and legal protection for consumers have a significant influence on business, emphasizing the importance of integrating the three to support fair and sustainable business practices. This study confirms that the integration of business ethics and IPR protection is not only a formal legal aspect, but also an important strategy in building a positive image, consumer trust, and long-term business sustainability. Therefore, education and awareness of the importance of business ethics and IPR protection need to be increased among entrepreneurs to create a healthy, competitive and sustainable business ecosystem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tren penelitian terkait kreativitas dan inovasi produk melalui pendekatan bibliometrik menggunakan data dari database Scopus periode 2015 hingga 2024. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya pertumbuhan signifikan dalam jumlah publikasi, terutama pada tahun 2023 dan 2024. Distribusi artikel menunjukkan keterlibatan berbagai penulis dan institusi secara merata tanpa dominasi tertentu, serta sebaran geografis yang luas dengan kontribusi utama dari Australia, Indonesia, dan Thailand. Studi ini juga menemukan bahwa topik kreativitas dan inovasi produk bersifat multidisipliner, melibatkan bidang manajemen, teknik, sosial, dan lingkungan. Network, overlay, dan density visualization yang dihasilkan dari VOSviewer menunjukkan bahwa kreativitas dan inovasi produk menjadi pusat perhatian penelitian, dengan dukungan topik-topik terkait seperti keberlanjutan, kewirausahaan, dan inovasi digital. Temuan  juga memberikan pemahaman bahwa kreatifitas merupakan factor penting lahirnya inovasi  yang berdampak terhadap keunggulan kompetitif meskipun budaya organisasi dan kemampuan mengintegrasikan informasi dari luar ke dalam organisasi menjadi penguat terbangunya budaya inovatif dimaksud.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of character and mindset in shaping entrepreneurial intention, which is an important factor in starting and managing a business. This literature review examines 20 articles published between 2005 and 2023, using article selection techniques based on inclusion and exclusion criteria involving research relevant to the topics of entrepreneurship, character, and mindset. The method used is a systematic literature review with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) procedure to ensure rigor in the selection and evaluation of appropriate articles. The results of the literature review show that strong character traits, such as perseverance, creativity, and the courage to take risks, provide a solid foundation for individuals to face entrepreneurial challenges. On the other hand, a growth mindset encourages individuals to view failure as an opportunity to learn, rather than as an obstacle. Previous research indicates that these two factors are interrelated, where good character strengthens the growth mindset, and the growth mindset reinforces character. This article also suggests that entrepreneurship education should place greater emphasis on developing positive character traits and mindsets to enhance entrepreneurial intention, as well as the importance of social support in shaping individuals who are ready to face business challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the motivations of Generation Z in Blitar in running a family business. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with 25 respondents involved in family businesses. The results showed that their main motivations included responsibility for family tradition and heritage, the desire to achieve financial independence, and self-development. Despite significant challenges such as financial difficulties and competition, respondents showed resilience and innovation in overcoming obstacles. The strategies implemented included product innovation, digital marketing, and good financial management. These findings provide important insights into the role of Gen Z in family businesses and their implications for local economic development, as well as highlighting the need for support for entrepreneurship education and access to financial resources.

Abstract

This study examines how digital transformation can moderate the relationship between Green Entrepreneurial Orientation (GEO) and Financial Bootstrapping on the financial performance of culinary Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Malang City. Data was collected from 390 MSMEs in the food and beverage industry using questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and moderated regression analysis. This regression model highlights the significance of Green Entrepreneurial Orientation and Financial Bootstrapping as primary methods influencing the financial success of MSMEs. Digital Transformation as moderated is significant. To get best outcomes, MSMEs must integrate sustainability methods with financial efficiency concurrently, rather than concentrating on a singular aspect.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that influence employee job satisfaction at CV MSMEs. Bima, with a focus on incentives, work facilities and leadership style. The background to this problem arises from the importance of job satisfaction in increasing employee productivity and retention. The method used was in-depth interviews with five employees from various backgrounds, including loading and unloading workers and supervision. The research results show that all informants agree that financial incentives really motivate them and contribute to family welfare. Work facilities such as BPJS health and work safety equipment are also considered important for comfort and safety. In addition, a democratic and open leadership style creates a positive work atmosphere, increasing motivation and satisfaction. Based on these findings, it is recommended that CV management. Bima continues to improve incentive policies, ensure adequate work facilities, and maintain a supportive leadership style. These steps are expected to increase employee job satisfaction, which will ultimately have a positive effect on overall company productivity and performance.

Abstract

Business Licensing is the legality given to Business Actors to start and run their businesses and activities. having NIB speeds up the processing of other licenses because NIB is the initial requirement for obtaining various other documents, one of which is obtaining a halal certificate. Halal certificate is legal certainty of the halalness of a product. Halal products are products that have been declared halal in accordance with Islamic law. The purpose of this study was to determine the Empowerment of MSMES in Increasing Competitiveness Based on Business Legality and Halal Products. The results of this study indicate that the increase in small and medium enterprises cannot be separated from the role of the government in providing training and knowledge to improve the quality of products of business actors, one of which is in obtaining business licenses and halal product certificates. By having business legality and halal certificates business actors have a comparative advantage so that they are able to compete in the global market.
