Abstract

Pendidikan di Indonesia terus mengalami pembaharuan seiring perkembangan zaman, salah satunya melalui perubahan kurikulum. Kurikulum Merdeka hadir sebagai inovasi yang menekankan pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik agar lebih aktif, kreatif, dan terlibat langsung dalam proses pembelajaran. Perubahan ini mendorong pendidik untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran yang sesuai, salah satunya adalah model Problem Based Learning berbasis Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Model ini bertujuan meningkatkan keaktifan dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model PBL berbasis STEM terhadap hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik kelas V di SDN 42 Mataram. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu tipe The Non-Equivalent Group Design. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 38 peserta didik yang dibagi dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan lembar observasi, dengan analisis data melalui uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji hipotesis, dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji hipotesis melalui independent sample T-test menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,001 < 0,05 dengan df 36 dan thitung (3,710) > ttabel (1,688), sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Rata-rata skor N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 74,47% (kategori cukup efektif). Dengan demikian, model PBL berbasis STEM memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPAS peserta didik kelas V di SDN 42 Mataram.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan menghasilkan Modul Ajar Fisika berbasis model discovery learning yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang meliputi tahap Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi, angket respon peserta didik, dan tes hasil belajar (pre-test dan post-test). Lembar validasi digunakan untuk menilai kevalidan Modul Ajar Fisika, angket respon untuk mengukur kepraktisan, dan tes hasil belajar untuk mengetahui keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kevalidan Modul Ajar Fisika berdasarkan penilaian validator yaitu sebesar 89,3% dan 96% dengan kategori valid dan reliabel, kepraktisan Modul Ajar Fisika berdasarkan angket respon peserta didik memperoleh skor 87% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan keefektifan Modul Ajar Fisika berdasarkan nilai N-gain sebesar 0,74 dengan kategori cukup efektif. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa Modul Ajar fisika yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning berbantuan media PhET terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMAS Al-Hamzar Tembeng Putik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas XI-A sebagai kelas eksperimen menggunakan model discovery learning berbantuan media PhET dan kelas XI-B sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah berupa tes uraian berjumlah 5 butir soal yang sudah diuji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembedanya. Hasil pretest dan posttest kemampuan pemecahan masalah diuji normalitas dan homogenitasnya sebelum dilakukan uji hipotesis. Data hasil tes diuji hipotesisnya menggunakan t-test polled varians dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen meningkat secara signifikan dibandingkan kelas kontrol, dengan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 66,79 pada kelas eksperimen dan 53,44 pada kelas kontrol. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai thitung > ttabel yaitu 5,02 > 2,01, yang berarti Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning berbantuan media PhET berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika peserta didik.

Abstract

Problem-solving ability is an important ability for students to have in science learning. With the ability to solve problems, students' critical, logical, and creative thinking skills can increase. Problem solving skills can be facilitated through learning with a project-based learning (PjBL) model. This research aims to identify and analyze research trends of PjBL model to improve problem solving skill in science learning. This research method is descriptive and analytical. The data used in this research was obtained from documents indexed by Google Scholar from 2015-2024 using Publish or Perish and Dimension.ai. Research procedures use PRISMA guidelines. The data identified and analyzed are the type of publication, publication source, and the title of research on PjBL model to improve problem solving skill in science learning that is widely cited. The data analysis method uses bibliometric analysis assisted by VOS viewer software. The results of the analysis show that research trend on PjBL model to improve problem solving skill in science learning indexed by Google Scholar from 2015 to 2024 has experienced a fluctuating increase. However, in 2024 there will be a decline in the research trend on it. There are many documents in the form of articles, proceedings, chapters, preprints and edited books that discuss research into the PjBL model to improve problem solving skill in science learning. Key words that are often used in research about it are STEM project, creative thinking skill, technology, critical thinking, discovery, etc.

Abstract

The development of project model science learning tools assisted by augmented reality has been carried out to improve students' literacy and creative thinking abilities. This development research aims to produce a valid product and describe the results of the validation of the learning device so that it is suitable for use in the learning process. This type of research is research and development with 4D model design which consists of the definition, design, development and dissemination stages. Validation of learning tools was carried out by three competent expert validators at Mataram University. The development of augmented reality-assisted project model science learning tools developed consists of a syllabus, lesson plans, teaching materials, LKPD, augmented reality media as well as scientific literacy test instruments and creative thinking ability test instruments. The results of the research show that the project model science learning tools assisted by augmented reality have very valid and reliable criteria so that they are suitable for use in the science learning process in schools to improve students' scientific literacy and creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to test the effect of the Project Based Learning model assisted by PhET simulations on students' critical thinking and problems solving abilities in sound wave material. The type of research used was a Quasi experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study were all students in class XI Science at SMAN 3 Mataram. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique, so that XI IPA 1 was obtained as an experimental class which was given treatment using a Project Based Learning model assisted by PhET simulation and XI IPA 2 as a control class using a conventional model. The test instrument used is a description of 12 question items consisting of 7 question items to measure critical thinking abilities and 5 question items to measure problem solving abilities. The hypothesis test used in this research is one-way MANOVA. The results of the hypothesis test show that the significance value of 0.001 is less than 0.05, so H_0 is rejected and H_a is accepted. Based on these results, it was concluded that there was an influence of the Project Based Learning model assisted by PhET simulations on students' critical thinking and problems solving abilities in sound wave material.

Abstract

Thermodynamics as a science studie something concrete and can be proven mathematically using scientific equations that have been proven to be true, so it is not uncommon for students to think that it is difficult to understand. This is because a high level of understanding is needed to understand the concepts of thermodynamics. The aim of this research is to develop a thermodynamics textbook assisted by Heyzine flipbook which is effective in improving students’ generic science, critical thinking and conceptual understanding. This research is a development researchs (Research and Development) which uses the Thiagarajan 4D development model. The subjects in this study were 26 students of the Physics Education study program at Mataram University who took the thermodynamics course. The data in this study is in the form of product effectiveness data obtained through pre-tests and post-tests given to research subjects. The improvement in students' abilities calculated using the n-gain formula. There was an increase in student abilities after being taught with the thermodynamics textbook assisted by Heyzine flipbook according to the n-gain value of 53.31 with moderate criteria. Heyzine flipbook-assisted thermodynamics textbook is proven effective in improving students' generic science, critical thinking and conceptual understanding.

Abstract

The development of of physics kit based on sensor and PjBL model has been carried out to improve the digital literacy, science process skills, and learning outcomes of students. This development aims to describe the validation of physics kit teaching materials that are suitable for use in learning activities. The development model design used is 4D which consists of definition, design, development and dissemination stages. This research is limited to the development stage. Validation activities have been completed in the development process. The validity of of physics kit based on sensor and PjBL model was assessed by 3 competent experts who are competent at Mataram University. In addition to the validity of the physics kit, there are several learning tools that are assessed for validity to support the quality of the kit developed. Some of these learning tools include lesson plans, worlsheets, test instruments for digital literacy, science process skills, and learning outcomes. The validation results showed that the physics kit received an average score of 93.35%, the lesson plans 87.50%, the student worksheets 94.17%, the digital literacy instrument 87.54%, the science process skills instrument 92.59%, and the learning outcome instrument 88.63%. Based on these results, all components were categorized as "Very Valid". These findings indicate that the physics kit based on sensors and the PjBL model is highly valid and can be effectively used in science learning activities at school.

Abstract

This article discusses innovations in physics learning methods through the use of game-based media, specifically a snakes and ladders game designed with educational elements. In the context of an ever-evolving educational landscape, traditional approaches are often considered less effective in capturing student interest, particularly in complex subjects like physics. Therefore, this research developed a media tool called "Einstein's Snake and Ladder Game" as an innovative solution to enhance student motivation, engagement, and understanding of physics concepts. Using a mixed-methods research approach, this article explains the media creation process from the preparation stage to production as well as its relevance to physics education. The design tools utilized included Canva and Microsoft Word, while media validation was measured via Google Forms. The results indicate that this game not only helps students grasp the material more effectively but also fosters a more inclusive and enjoyable learning environment. Consequently, this game-based media is expected to address challenges in physics education and make the learning process more engaging for students.
