Abstract

In line with 21st-Century learning, the 2013 Curriculum highlights the development of critical thinking, problem analysis, problem-solving, decision making, and creating something new. Professional teachers need to facilitate students in developing these abilities. This research describes how the teachers plan the higher-order thinking skills (HOTs). This research is qualitative research with a descriptive design. The respondents were four teachers with 0-40 years of teaching experience. The data were collected qualitatively through documentation and interviews. The results showed that HOTs were not clearly expressed in the teacher's lesson plans at teaching experience levels of 0 to 10 years and 10 years to 20 years. Teachers with 20 to 30 years of teaching experience and 30 to 40 years of experience have expressed HOTs explicitly and completely in all parts of the lesson plan. Teachers have an important role in facilitating higher-order thinking skills that can be seen through the lesson plans. The lesson plan must describe the development of higher-order thinking skills holistically. Teachers need to review each lesson plan to be coherent in every part and relevant to 21st-century learning.

Abstract

The Indonesian cosmetics industry is currently experiencing very rapid development so that this situation has given rise to competitive and tight business competition. Even though the majority of the cosmetics industry targets women as its main consumer target, it has recently begun to innovate with products for men. Currently, the halal trend is receiving special attention in society, including cosmetics in the form of facial foam products for men which are labeled halal. There are several factors that influence consumer purchasing decisions in purchasing halal products, including halal labeling, brand image, product quality and also product price. The method used in this research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach because the data used is in the form of numbers which are then processed using statistical methods. Based on research results It was concluded that halal labeling, product quality, product price and brand image simultaneously influence purchasing decisions. This is proven by the calculated F test results of 1 9.388 with an F significance of 0.000, so it can be concluded that the four independent variables simultaneously have an influence significant to the dependent variable. However, halal labeling and product price partially influence it, but product quality and brand image do not partially influence the decision to purchase facial foam products for men labeled halal in Serang City.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a valid E-LKPD and find out the user response to the developed E-LKPD. This research is designed using development research with a 4-D development model consisting of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, this research was only carried out until the development stage. Research instruments in the form of validation sheets and user response sheets. The instruments used are validation sheets and user response sheets. Validation is carried out by two material expert validators and one media expert validator, and user responses are obtained from teachers and students. The results of the validation of the material based on the aspect of content feasibility, the characteristics of the Guided Inquiry integrated with ethnochemistry, presentation, linguistics, and graphics in a row, namely 95.31%; 97,91%; 96,87%; 93,75%; and 90,62% with valid categories. Media validation results are based on aspects of E-LKPD size, E-LKPD cover design, and E-LKPD content design with 100%; 93,75%; and 95% with valid categories respectively. User response test results were obtained with an average score of 95.83% by chemistry teachers with very good criteria and 91.44% by students with very good criteria.

Abstract

Employee training and development is an important component of human resource management, aiming to improve skills, knowledge, and work productivity. This study aims to analyze the influence of training and development on work productivity in SMEs in Indramayu Regency, an area with great potential but still facing various challenges in human resource management. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Data was collected through a questionnaire to 100 employees from various SMEs who had training and development programs in the last three years. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, correlation, multiple linear regression, and ANOVA. The results showed that training had a significant influence on work productivity, with a contribution of 45%. Employee development also has a positive impact of 30%, although the contribution is smaller than training. The combination of training and development has a greater influence on work productivity. In addition, the regression model used has a high level of significance (R2=0.52R^2=0.52R2=0.52), which means that 52% of the work productivity variability can be explained by both independent variables. These findings show the importance of synergy between training and development in increasing work productivity. This research makes a practical contribution to SME managers in Indramayu Regency to design more effective and structured training and development policies. Key recommendations include increased investment in technology-based training programs, collaboration with local governments, and the implementation of a sustainable evaluation system. This research is expected to be the foundation for the development of human resources in areas with similar potential

Abstract

Background: Skin disorders are symptoms and signs that appear on the skin, such as redness, itching, bumps, cracked skin, and dry scaly skin caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasitic infections, allergic reactions, and personal hygiene factors. Workers, including waste pickers and scavengers, often neglect their personal hygiene habits. The risk of skin disorders is also due to their activities that are always in contact with waste that accumulates in landfills. Purpose: This study aimed to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and skin disorders in workers at Putri Cempo landfill, Surakarta. Methods: An analytic observational study with a cross-sectional design using convenience sampling was conducted. The study included a total of 51 waste haulers and 22 scavengers. Personal hygiene data collection was carried out by filling out a questionnaire; kin disorder data was collected by analyzation of symptoms and direct observation of signs of skin disorders in workers. The Chi-Square test and Cramer's V test were used to assess the association. Result: The prevalence of skin disorders among workers at Putri Cempo landfill, Surakarta, was 46.6%. The predilections of skin disorders were on the hands, feet, and nails, with 31.5% itchy complaints and 17.8% dry and scaly skin. There was a significant relationship (p <0.001) with a moderately strong correlation (v = 0.431) between personal hygiene and skin disorders. Conclusion: Personal hygiene is significantly associated and moderately correlated with skin disorders in workers at Putri Cempo landfill, Surakarta. A comprehensive approach to tackle the problems are urgently needed.

Abstract

Chayote (Sechium edule) is a vegetable fruit with nutritional content, rich in minerals and vitamins. The high potassium content in chayote has the potential as a food for high blood pressure reduction, with calcium and vitamin C are quite good. In diversification   processed food products chayote   have not been used as a many processed product, usually chayote use as side dish vegetables or   processed as a sweets. Leather is a type of sweets in a sheet, generally made from fruits raw materials, chayote can be used as an alternative material for leather because chayote has a pectin content similar as a fruits, which chayote can be used as a substitute of fruits   in the processed of fruit leather. The research aims is to determine the effect of differences in sugar and CMC concentrations to the physical, chemical and organoleptic properties of chayote leather. Experiment design used a Factorial with Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) in 2 factors, first factor is a sugar concentration with 3 levels and second factor of CMC concentration with 2 levels. The First factor of sugar concentration G1 = 5% G2 = 10% G3 = 15%. The second factor of CMC concentration C1 = 0.5% C2 = 1%, repeated 3 times. The variables observed were, tensil strength, content of   moisture, sugar, fiber, potassium, calcium, vitamin C and organoleptics test on elasticity, preference for fruit leather of chayote. The analysis results, there are an influences of   concentrations sugar and CMC on the content of water, sugar, fiber, potassium and calcium but does not affect the tensil strength, vitamin C and panelist preferences on the texture and delight of chayote leather. Interactions occur between sugar and CMC concentrations to  content of potassium and calcium The best chayote leather is the leather with 15% sugar concentration and 1% CMC with characteristics of elasticity in 21,34 N, 12.59% water content, 37,392% sugar content, 4,049% fiber, potassium 207,71 mg/100g, calcium 19,5 mg/100g, vitamin C 7,14 mg / 100g, according to the panelist assessment that chayote leather are chewy and delight with concentration of 10% sugar and 0.5% CMC.
