Abstract

This study is situated within the discourse of educational communication and character development, focusing on children’s language ethics in social and digital contexts. The rapid advancement of technology has transformed communication patterns among children, where the use of harsh expressions such as “jancok,” “endasmu,” “anjay,” and “anjir” has become increasingly common due to environmental influences and uncontrolled gadget exposure. This community engagement article aims to provide ethical language education for children in Warulor Village, Paciran District, Lamongan Regency, and to analyze the impact of this program on their verbal behavior. The study employed an educative-participatory approach, actively involving children through language games, conversational simulations, and reflective activities. Data were collected through observation, short interviews with teachers and parents, and simple pre- and post-tests assessing language ethics comprehension. The results revealed significant improvement in both knowledge and behavior—harsh language use decreased by up to 70%, and children began to internalize polite communication habits in social contexts. These findings highlight that participatory, community-based language ethics education can serve as an effective preventive strategy against negative verbal behavior in children. The study contributes to the field of communication and education by reinforcing the concept of character-based communication that integrates linguistic, social, and moral dimensions. Practically, it emphasizes the importance of collaboration among schools, families, and communities in fostering a polite and ethical language culture in the digital era.

Abstract

Newborns require special attention to the labor process, this affects the health of the baby itself. Similarly, with premature babies who have a high level of sensitivity to the surrounding environment, one of the biggest causes of death in premature babies is hypothermia, therefore adjustments are needed starting from room temperature and skin in the baby incubator. The purpose of this study is to develop a monitoring system that will facilitate the performance of nurses in monitoring the parameters of the baby incubator. Related to this, an incubator device is needed that can be monitored remotely. This module uses a wifi network system for data transmission. Using the ESP32 module assembled into a module for monitoring and control which will then be displayed on the LCD and in the blynk as a monitoring display. Data transmission will be communicated using an external WIFI network and the monitoring results of each sensor will be displayed on Blynk. The highest error values were 1.24% for incubator room temperature parameters and 1.15% for skin temperature parameters. The results showed that there were still inaccuracies in some parameter readings, one of the factors that read inaccurate parameters was sensor sensitivity. This research is expected to help medical personnel to facilitate monitoring the condition of premature babies in baby incubators.

Abstract

Technological advancements in the field of healthcare, coupled with contemporary scientific and technological progress, have led to significant advancements in various operational procedures within medical institutions. These advancements include the adoption of automated systems in lieu of human intervention. An example of this progress is the implementation of automated systems for monitoring individuals' heart rates and body temperatures. Heart rate and body temperature stand as critical indicators employed by medical professionals to assess both physical and mental well-being. Deviations from normal heart rate and body temperature values can signify underlying issues. Body temperature, specifically, can offer insights into internal bodily conditions. This transition to automated monitoring tools has resulted in heightened practicality and efficiency. These tools offer real-time monitoring capabilities and the option for remote oversight. The monitoring device's architecture employs the Max30102 as a BPM sensor, which boasts a digital output. Additionally, the MLx90614 sensor functions as a digital temperature sensor. The collected data is then processed and showcased on an I2C LCD screen, with information transmitted to the ThingSpeak platform via the ESP32, serving as a Wi-Fi module. Notably, the BPM sensor demonstrates a minimal error rate of 0.23% and a maximum of 2.11%, while the temperature sensor showcases a minimal error rate of 0.59% and a maximum of 3.37%. The outcomes of this research exhibit potential application in enhancing the efficiency of remote monitoring systems when integrated into patient monitoring setups.

Abstract

Vital signs play a crucial role in monitoring the progress of adult or pediatric patients during hospitalization, as they enable prompt detection of delayed recovery or adverse events. Vital signs are measured to obtain fundamental indicators of the patient's health status. The measurement of vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate, is the most common intervention in hospital medicine. Advanced monitoring systems combine clinical and technological aspects to deliver innovative healthcare outcomes. Remote patient monitoring systems are increasingly becoming the cornerstone of healthcare delivery, replacing traditional manual recording with computer and smartphone-based electronic recording as a versatile and innovative health monitoring system. This study aims to design a Vital Sign Monitoring Parameter BPM and RR tool with Notifications via the IoT-Based Telegram application. The tool enables the monitoring of vital signs, particularly BPM and RR, regardless of the patient's location and at any given time. This allows doctors, health workers, and patients to stay informed about their health condition. Real-time display of vital sign data is available through the TFT LCD screen, and the data from the screen can be accessed via Telegram. The Telegram application will send notifications in the event of abnormal patient conditions. MAX30100, a digital sensor for detecting breathing rate and heart rate, is utilized in this research. Furthermore, the data obtained shows errors that are within the allowable limits for each parameter. The difference between the heart rate readings and the respiratory rate values on the device and the patient monitor is 1.14% for heart rate and 0.84% for respiratory rate. This study indicates that it is time to monitor vital signs that can be seen remotely and have a system that is an inexpensive and easy-to-operate device for health workers without interfering with activities of daily living.

Abstract

This study aims to trigger the causes of defects in woven sarong products at PT Ibrahim Bin Manrapi and provide improvement solutions through the application of the Six Sigma method with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach. The main problem faced by the company is the high level of product defects which reaches an average of 4.21% of total production, with the dominant types of defects including sewing defects (46.36%), color defects (24.96%), size defects (16.53%), and torn fabric (12.15%). Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation in the production department. The measurement results show a Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) value of 42,100 with a sigma level of 3.36, which indicates that production quality is still below Six Sigma standards. Analysis of the causes of defects using the 5M approach (Man, Machine, Method, Material, Measurement) shows that the main factors causing defects come from old ATBM weaving machines, lack of operator accuracy and skills, complicated manual work methods, and the absence of consistent quality control standards at the end of the process. Recommended improvement efforts include machine rejuvenation, workforce training, implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuous quality monitoring through the use of control charts. The application of the Six Sigma method has proven effective in helping companies identify problem sources and develop strategies for systematic and sustainable product quality improvement.
