Abstract

This study aims to examine the forms of integration between Islamic spirituality and the cultural traditions of the Bromo community as a model of socio-religious harmony in a multicultural setting. Employing a qualitative approach with an ethnographic method, the study explores the social, symbolic, and spiritual values embedded in the religious and customary practices of the Bromo community, particularly among the Muslim Tengger group. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with 12 key informants consisting of religious leaders, traditional leaders, and community members, as well as documentation of local traditions. The findings indicate that the integration of Islam and local culture operates through three main pillars: spiritual engagement, defined as the active participation of Muslim community members in local spiritual rituals and communal religious life; cultural negotiation, referring to the process of reinterpreting indigenous traditions to align with Islamic teachings; and communal harmony, which denotes patterns of social interaction based on cooperation and mutual respect across religious boundaries. Rituals such as Kasada and earth alms (sedekah bumi), historically rooted in pre-Islamic traditions, are practiced by Muslim Tengger communities through adjusted meanings as expressions of gratitude to Allah and as forms of cultural da‘wah. In everyday social life, Islamic values such as ukhuwah, ikhlas, and rahmah coexist with Tengger cultural values of rukun, tepo seliro, and ajining diri, as reflected in inclusive social relations oriented toward shared communal well-being. These findings describe a form of contextual spirituality that demonstrates the integration of religious values and local wisdom as a foundation for the practice of religious moderation in mountainous communities.

Abstract

Islamic Guidance and Counseling (IGC) is often understood as the integration of religious values into conventional psychological practice. Such an approach tends to position spirituality as a complementary element rather than as a paradigmatic framework. This article aims to formulate a holistic paradigm of Islamic Guidance and Counseling that views human beings as an integrated unity of spiritual, psychological, and social dimensions within the framework of tawhid. This study employs a qualitative approach through library research. Data were drawn from primary sources, including the Qur’an, Hadith, and classical Islamic scholarship by figures such as Al-Ghazali and Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah, as well as secondary sources consisting of nationally and internationally reputable journal articles in the fields of Islamic psychology and counseling published within the last 10–15 years. Data analysis was conducted using qualitative content analysis and textual–comparative analysis to generate a conceptual synthesis. The findings indicate that the holistic paradigm of Islamic Guidance and Counseling is structured around three core dimensions: spiritual, psychological, and social. The spiritual dimension serves as the foundational axis through the concepts of ruh, qalb, and nafs, with worship practices, aqidah, and akhlaq functioning as mechanisms of counseling intervention. The psychological dimension integrates modern psychological theories critically within an Islamic epistemological framework, positioning tawhid as a unifying metatheory. Meanwhile, the social dimension emphasizes the role of Islamic community support as an active component in the processes of healing and personal development. These findings affirm that Islamic Guidance and Counseling is not merely a religious adaptation of Western psychology, but rather a coherent scientific paradigm grounded in a comprehensive ontological and epistemological foundation. The resulting conceptual model illustrates the dynamic interrelationship among these dimensions in fostering the holistic well-being of Muslim individuals.

Abstract

The current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has entered the New Normal Era, has harmed education in the form of learning loss. This research examines of e-learning implementation to deal with learning loss in Islamic Education (PAI) subjects at al Ma’arif Junior High in Jombang Jember. This research applies a qualitative approach with study case type and analyzes data through the interactive technique of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. This research concludes some states that e-learning implementation at al Ma’arif Junior High in Jombang Jember to deal with learning loss focuses on two things. First, upgrading the learning technology of al Ma’arif Junior High in Jombang Jember is centered on maximizing school web role. Second, increasing students learning motivation to follow the e-learning process that implemented by al Ma’arif Junior High in Jombang Jember. The Efforts to implement e-learning can be considered as one of the solution options that can be carried out by educational institutions to deal with the phenomenon of learning loss during the New Normal Era.

Abstract

Tape adalah makanan fermentasi tradisional yang memiliki ciri khas yaitu manis, alkoholik (etanol) dan asam. Bahan dasar tape berupa beras ketan yang ditambahkan ragi. Ragi berperan penting mengubah pati yang terkandung dalam beras menjadi senyawa-senyawa fermentasi. Pada proses fermentasi tape terjadi pemecahan karbohidrat menjadi glukosa kemudian terurai menjadi etanol. Sampel penelitian berupa tape ketan putih dan hitam dengan lama fermentasi 2 hari, yang dilanjutkan dengan variasi masa simpan suhu ruang selama 3–10 hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu ruang terhadap kadar etanol dan pertumbuhan jamur Saccharomyces cerevisiae pada penyimpanan tape ketan putih (Oryza sativa linn var glutinosa) dan ketan hitam (Oryza sativa linn var forma glutinosa). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen laboratorik dengan variasi lama penyimpanan pada suhu ruang 25-30°C selama 2 hingga 10 hari. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kadar etanol dan pertumbuhan jamur Saccharomyces cerevisiae yang diukur menggunakan metode distilasi dan media Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan etanol pada tape ketan putih meningkat hingga hari ke-7 dengan puncak 2,82%, kemudian menurun. Sedangkan pada tape ketan hitam etanol meningkat secara konsisten hingga hari ke-10 mencapai 3,60%. Jamur Saccharomyces cerevisiae didapatkan pada kedua jenis tape. Uji anova menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan kadar etanol antara kedua jenis tape (p=0,812). Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pemahaman mikrobiologi mengenai pengaruh suhu penyimpanan terhadap profil fermentasi lanjut dan stabilitas kualitas tape ketan, serta menjadi acuan dalam menentukan titik optimal keamanan pangan berbasis fermentasi tradisional.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a sociological literature study design. This study uses an objective approach. The data source in the study is the novel Ibuku Tidak Gila by Anggie D. Widowati. The data collection technique used is the technique of reading, understanding, and taking notes. Data analysis techniques use qualitative analysis consisting of identification, and interpretation. This study aims to describe the facts of social stories and facts in this study as well as analyze the aspects that occur in the novel, which in general this also occurs in the lives of the general public. In this scope, it will analyze with a sociological approach which aims to describe the contents of this novel. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded several things. The first fact of the story in the novel Ibuku Tidak Gila by Anggie D. Widowati consists of plot, character, setting, and theme. The flow in this novel is a forward and backward flow. The characters in this novel have good character and help. The character in this novel also has a main character and additional characters. Overall this story is based on the island of Java, namely Sragen, Jogjakarta, and Solo. In this novel there are problems that often occur in the community. The problem presented by the author is family conflict. This novel tells of a young man who experienced a dilemma in his family or love story. In the family problem, the biological mother has a mental disorder that must be treated in a mental hospital. Likewise, with the romance problems faced. Especially about the cause of his mother's madness, which his father had covered up for a long time. Which is where forcing the main character, Dewa, to find out and the reason why his biological mother has a mental disorder. Is the madness of his biological mother caused by his father who remarried or was there another problem with the cause of his mother's madness. The results of this study indicate that the balances related to the aspects of literary sociology in the novel Ibuku tidak Gila are as follows: (1) Facts of the Story, (2) Social Facts, and (3) Family Social Conditions Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan rancangan kajian sosiologi sastra. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan objektif. Sumber data dalam penelitian adalah novel Ibuku Tidak Gila karya Anggie D. Widowati. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca, memahami, dan mencatat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis kualitatif yang terdiri dari identfikasi, dan interpretasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan fakta cerita dan fakta sosial dalam penelitian ini juga menganalisa aspek-aspek terjadi dalam novel, yang pada umumnya hal ini juga terjadi pada kehidupan masyarakat umum. Dalam lingkup ini akan menganalisa dengan pendekatan sosiologi yang bertujuan untuk mendeskrpsikan isi novel ini. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan beberapa hal. Pertama fakta cerita dalam novel Ibuku Tidak Gila karya Anggie D. Widowati terdiri dari alur, karakter, latar, dan tema. Alur dalam novel ini adalah alur maju dan mundur. Karakter dalam novel ini memiliki karakter baik dan penolong. Tokoh dalam novel ini juga memiliki tokoh utama dan tokoh tambahan. Secara keseluruhan cerita ini berlatarkan daerah pulau Jawa, yaitu Sragen, Jogjakarta, dan Solo. Dalam novel ini terdapat problematika yang sering terjadi di lingkungan masyarakat. Problematia yang disajikan pengarang adalah konflik keluarga. Novel ini mengkisahkan seorang pemuda yang mengalami dilema dalam keluarganya ataupun kisah asmaranya. Dalam masalah keluarga ibu kandungnya mengalami gangguan jiwa yang harus di rawat di rumah sakit jiwa. Begitu juga dengan masalah asmara yang di hadapinya. Terlebih tentang penyebab kegilaan ibunya telah ditutup-tutupi oleh ayahnya sejak lama. Yang di mana memaksa tokoh utama yaitu Dewa mencari tahu dan penyebab mengapa ibu kandungnya mengalami gangguan jiwa. Apakah kegilaan ibu kandungnya di sebabkan oleh ayahnya yang menikah lagi ataukah ada masalah lain dari penyebab kegilaan ibunya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bal-hal yang berkaitan dengan aspek-aspek sosiologi sastra dalam novel Ibuku Tidak Gila adalah sebagai berikut: (1) fakta cerita, (2) fakta sosial, dan (3) keadaan sosial keluarga.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan diksi atau pilihan kata yang digunakan pengarang pada suatu puisi yang diciptakan dan mendeskripsikan makna yang ingin disampaikan oleh pengarang pada setiap kata-kata yang digunakan sehingga puisi itu memiliki makna tertentu yang setiap pembacanya mengerti maksud dan tujuan yg ingin di sampaikan pengarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif ini mengacu pada metode deskripsi, yaitu suatu metode yang tertuju pada usaha pemecahan masalah yang ada pada masa sekarang, karena dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pendeskripsian pada sebuah puisi “Wajah Negeri Kita” karya M.Anwar M.H dan data yang disajikan dalam penelitian ini berupa data yang berbentuk frase dan kalimat, bukan dalam angka. Setelah data diperoleh dan dianalisis, terdapat diksi atau pilihan kata yang ada dalam puisi “WajahNegeri Kita” Karya M. Anwar M.H yaitu (1) ditinjau dari segi diksi atau pilihan kata, (2) unsur makna yang terkandung pada puisi “Wajah Negeri Kita” puisi yang menggambarkan nilai social dan keadaan negeri kita saat ini. Bahasa yang digunakan dalam puisi “Wajah Negeri Kita” yaitu bahasa-bahasa yang mudah di pahami sehingga tidak menyulitkan pembaca. Dalam puisi “Wajah Negeri Kita” Karya M. Anwar M.H terdapat unsur diksi dan makna. Unsur diksi sangat berperan penting karena keunggulan puisi terdapat pada pemilihan kata yang unik dan tepat sehingga menarik perhatian pembaca. Unsur makna digunakan pengarang yakni bergambar pesan yang disampaikan dengan mudah dipahami oleh pembaca. Pada puisi ini pengarang berhasil menciptakan suatu puisi yang menarik dengan mengunakan pemilihan kata yang sederhana sehingga dapat dipahami pembaca.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang folklor dengan objek cerita rakyat Bawi Kuwu yang berasal dari Kalimantan Tengah. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai budaya berdasarkan lima kategori hubungan manusia yang dikemukakan oleh Koentajaraningrat. Nilai budaya tersebut meliputi nilai budaya hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, alam, masyarakat, orang lain, dan diri sendiri, yang terdapat dalam cerita Bawi Kuwu. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan termasuk jenis penelitian lapangan. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa cerita rakyat Bawi Kuwu dan diperoleh dari informan yang memberikan informasi tentang cerita Bawi Kuwu. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara transkrip data, transliterasi, mereduksi data yang kurang relevan, dan menyajikan data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, dalam cerita Bawi Kuwu terdapat nilai budaya berdasarkan lima kategori hubungan manusia. Tetapi nilai budaya yang paling dominan dalam cerita Bawi Kuwu adalah, nilai budaya hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan. Salah satu bentuk realisasi nilai budaya hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, dilakukan para tokoh dalam cerita Bawi Kuwu melalui upacara ritual. Hal tersebut sebagai salah satu cara para tokoh dalam cerita Bawi Kuwu menghormati para leluhur. This research discusses the folklore with objects folklor Bawi Kuwu originiting from Central Kalimantan. The purpose of this research is to know the value of a culture based on five categories of human relation expressed by Koentjaraningrat.Cuture values that include cultural values of human relations with god, nature, society, others and self there is in story of Bawi Kuwu. This research uses qualitative methods and includes the kind of field research. The data of this research is the folklore of Bawi Kuwu and obtained from the informan who gave information about the story of Bawi Kuwu. Data collected with the techniques of observation, interview, and documentation. Technique of data analysis done by techniques transcription, transliteration, the reduction of irrelevant data, and present the data. The results of the research show that in the folklore of the Bawi Kuwu there are cultural values based on five categories of human relations. But the most dominant cultural values in the story of Bawi Kuwu is cultural values of human relation with god. One of the realization of the cultural values of human relations with god, which perfomed the character in the story of the Bawi Kuwu by ritual ceremony. It is as one of the ways character in the story of Bawi Kuwu honoring acnestors.

Abstract

ABSTRAKAsal-usul Nama Pulau Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, dan Sangalaki di Kabupaten Berau Kalimantan Timur,  adalah salah satu Sastra daerah yang semakin lama semakin jarang dijumpai dan mulai banyak ditinggalkan, maka seharusnya sastra daerah tetap dilestarikan agar generasi penerus masih mengenal sastra daerah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan terjadinya legenda asal-usul nama pulau Derawan Maratua, Kakaban, dan Sangalaki. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, teknik wawancara, teknik  dokumentasi dan penyajian data tersebut menggunakan teknik catat untuk mengklarifikasi data. Penelitian asal-usul nama pulau Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, dan Sangalaki dapat dianalisis secara morfologi dan semantik sehingga ditemukan bentuk kata dan makna nama pulau Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, dan Sangalaki di Kabupaten Berau Kalimantan Timur. Nama pulau Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, dan Sangalaki yang terdiri atas satu kata dibahas menurut proses pembentukan kata, makna nama pulau, dan latar belakang pembentukan nama pulau. Kata Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, dan Sangalaki merupakan kata yang berasal dari bahasa Bajau, yang memiliki kemiripan dari segi makna dalam bahasa Indonesia dengan proses morfologis. Derawan perubahan terjadi pada fonem pe menjadi de, sehingga Derawan (Bajau) menjadi perawan (Indonesia), Maratua perubahan terjadi pada fonem mara menjadi mer, sehingga Maratua (Bajau) menjadi Mertua (Indonesia), Kakaban kemiripan terjadi dari segi bunyi, kata kaka (dalam bahasa Indonesia) mendapat akhiran ban menjadi Kakaban (dalam bahasa Bajau), Sangalaki kemiripan terdapat dari segi bunyi dengan proses pembubuhan, fonem sanga pada laki menjadi Sangalaki (dalam bahasa Bajau), mendapat proses reduplikasi menjadi laki-laki (dalam bahasa Indonesia).Kata Kunci: Asal-Usul, Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, SangalakiABSTRACTThe origin of the names Derawan Island, Maratua Island, Kakaban Island and Sangalaki Island in Berau East Borneo, are one of the regional literature thats getting rarely encountered and began to abandoned, so as the regional literature need to be preserved so as the next generations still know the regional literature. The used of methods in this research is descriptive methods which describe the origins legend of the name Derawan Island, Maratua, Kakaban and Sangalaki. The technique of data collection is observation technique, interview technique, documentation technique, and presentation of the data using the note technique to clarified the data. Research of origin names Derawan Island, Maratua, Kakaban and Sangalaki can be analyzed by using Morphology and Semantic until founded the words formation and the meaning of the origins names of Derawan Island, Maratua, Kakaban, and Sangalaki in Berau of East Borneo. Names of Derawan Island, Maratua, Kakaban, and Sangalaki that consist of one word explained based on formation words process, the meaning of Island, and background formation of island. The words of Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, and Sangalaki are one of the words that came from Bajau language, it has similarity from meaning in Indonesia by using Morphology process. Derawan change to the phoneme pe into de, so Derawan (Bajau) became perawan (Indonesia), Maratua change to the phoneme “Mara” into “Mer”, so Maratua (Bajau) became Mertua (Indonesia). Kakaban’s similarity happen from the sound “Kaka” words (in Indonesia) got the suffix “ban” became “Kakaban” (in Bajau), Sangalaki’s similarity can  be found from the sound by affixing process, the “sanga’s” phoneme in laki became Sangalaki (in Bajau), having the reduplication process to be laki-laki (in Indonesia). Keywords: Origins, Derawan, Maratua, Kakaban, Sangalaki.

Abstract

This research aims to determine which language styles are used in buying and selling merchants in Bunyu Island. North Kalimantan and to know what language style function is contained in greeting buying and selling merchants in Bunyu Island, Kalimantan North. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods that describe the use of language styles in buying and selling in Bunyu Island market, North Kalimantan. The object of this research is traders and buyers who are doing buy and sell transactions. Data on the use of the language styles of merchants and buyers is obtained through observation. The techniques used in this research are the recording techniques, the reading techniques and the data analysis techniques. The results of this study are (1) the style of the language used in sale and purchase transactions in Bunyu Island, North Kalimantan, the comparative language style, the style of language opposition, the style of association language, and the repetition language style, (2) The function of language style that Contained in the greeting of buying and selling merchants in Bunyu Island, North Kalimantan, namely the function explaining, function strengthening, function animate the Dead object, the function of stimulating the association, the function raises laughter, and functions to garnish.

Abstract

Folk stories have cultural values that are used by the community as a picture of actions in everyday life. This study aims to find out the cultural values contained in the legend of the father-in-law so that it can be used as learning in life. This research was included in the field research using qualitative descriptive research. The source of data in this study was an informant named Kasman. The cultural value of human relations with God is manifested in the form of wara and karma ceremonies. The cultural value of human relations with nature is manifested in the form of riverside villages, hunting, and using plants. The cultural value of human relations with society is manifested in the form of joint learning, ceremony invitations, the search for spouses, togetherness in ceremonies. The cultural value of human and other human relationships is manifested in the form of cooperation, affection, friendship, respect, and cultural values of human relations with oneself manifested in the form of intelligence, responsibility, worry, and not thinking.
