Abstract

ABSTRAK Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, dikenal sebagai penghasil lada putih di pasar internasional dengan nama lada putih muntok. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas adalah melalui penggunaan biji lada putih. Benih yang paling banyak digunakan oleh petani adalah varietas Petaling 1, LDK dan Merapen. Sikap petani terhadap pemilihan benih lada putih sangat penting untuk diketahui karena mereka adalah pelaku agribisnis utama yang akan menghasilkan lada putih. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis sikap petani terhadap atribut biji lada putih. Penelitian ini melibatkan 60 responden petani lada putih. Analisis menggunakan multi-atribut fishbein menunjukkan bahwa sikap responden lebih memilih varietas biji lada putih Petaling 1 dibandingkan dengan varietas Merapen dan LDK. Kata Kunci: Provinsi Babel, lada putih, multiatribut Fishbein ABSTRACT Bangka Belitung Islands Province, known as a producer of white pepper in the international market with the name of muntok white pepper. One of the efforts to increase productivity is through the use of white pepper seeds. The most used seeds by farmers are varieties Petaling 1, LDK and Merapen. The farmers’ attitude to the selection of white pepper seeds is very important to know because they are the main agribusiness actors that will produce white pepper. The objectives of this research is to analyze the farmers’ attitude on the attributes of white pepper seeds. This research was involved 60 respondents of white pepper farmers. The analysis using fishbein multiattributes showed that the attitude of respondents prefers white pepper seed varieties Petaling 1 compared to Merapen and LDK varieties. Abstract

This study aims to determine the condition of the supply chain broccoli in the district ofBandung Lembang district west to approach food supply chain networks ( FSCN ). Thisresearch will be carried out in the CV . Yan's Fruits and Vegetable in Lembang district ,West Bandung regency, West Java. This study requires an approach to qualitative andquantitative methods for treating primary and secondary data . Abstract

Rice is a very important commodity. Rice plays an important role in food security, economic stability, and employment. Consumer behavior in rice consumption continues to grow. Improved incomes lead to increased demands on quality. Changes in demographic structures, such as level of education, lifestyle, technology, transportation, and communication, affect the customer preferences and satisfaction with the rice they consume. In line with efforts to increase productivity, the rice should be produced to meet consumer expectations which are constantly evolving.  This study aimed to identify the characteristics, analyze the decision-making process, preferences, and customer satisfaction, as well as making the right marketing mix recommendations based on the study of consumer behavior on three different social classes (lower class, middle, and upper). Convinience Sampling was used. The analytical tool used in this study was a descriptive analysis, Important & Performance Analysis (IPA) and the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).  Data processing with descriptive analysis showed some differences in the characteristics of responders and decision-making processes at all three social classes. The differences associated with educational level and family income levels, initial consideration of the purchase of rice, and where to purchase the rice.  CSI showed that the total satisfaction on all three social classes is entirely in the range “satisfied”. However, the higher the social class, the higher the satisfaction of the rice consumed. Data processing by IPA showed that the performance, which should be improved based on consumer preference and satisfaction, was a top-class ease of getting rice and seller services. The performance on middle-class consumers have to be improved in assessing durability of rice, grain uniformity, and broken. While the upscale consumer should improve performance in terms of price, flavor, broken, and clean rice.Keywords: consumption, quality, expectation, social class, sample, performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze broccoli added value in CV. Yan’s Fruits and Vegetable. The study was conducted at CV. Yan's Fruits and Vegetable from July to August 2016. This study used primary and secondary data. The research sample was taken purposively consisting of 30 farmers of CV. Yan’s Fruits and Vegetable partners. The method used to analyse supply chain condition was Hayami Method to analyze broccoli added value in CV. Yan’s Fruits and Vegetable. The results showed that the marketing condition of broccoli in Cibodas Village is already good. They already have a good integration among members of the supply chain. Integrated quality and optimization of the supply chain have been the targets of any relevant actors in the broccoli supply chain so it can create added value for broccoli. From the added value calculation of packaged broccoli, it can be concluded that it has added value of 36.92 percent. Keywords: Broccoli, packing, Value-Added

Abstract

Penyediaan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten penting dalam usaha tani tembakau. Komoditas tembakau ditekan oleh perubahan kondisi lingkungan global, sehingga diperlukan petani yang mampu beradaptasi. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Menentukan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku kewira-usahaan dan kinerja pertanian, 2) Menganalisis pengaruh sifat individu dan faktor lingkungan terhadap peri-laku kewirausahaan, dan 3) Menganalisis pengaruh sifat individu, faktor lingkungan, dan perilaku kewirausa-haan terhadap kinerja tembakau rakyat. Pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel tak bebas (terikat) diukur dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Sifat individu dan faktor lingkungan mempengaruhi perilaku kewirausahaan dengan pengaruh terbesar berasal dari sifat individu. Perilaku kewirausahaan berpe-ngaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja usaha, namun bukan menjadi faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi kinerja pertanian. Lingkungan ekonomi menjadi variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pertanian. Peri-laku kewirausahaan saja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja. Dengan demikian, perilaku kewirausa-haan harus dipandang sebagai salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam mendorong kinerja. Provision of competent human resources is important in tobacco farming. Tobacco as commodities pressured by changes in global environmental conditions so that required adaptable farmers. Therefore, this research aimed to: 1) Determine the factors that influence entrepreneurial behavior and performance of the farm; 2) Analyze the influence of personality trait and environmental factors to entrepreneurial behavior; and 3) Analyze the influence of personality trait, environmental factors, and entrepreneurial behavior to the perfor-mance of individual tobacco farming. The effect of independent variables on the measurement dependent variables were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The personality trait and environment fac-tor influence entrepreneurial behavior with the greatest influence comes from the personality trait. Entrepre-neurial behavior has significant effect on the performance of the business, but not a dominant factor affect-ting the performance of the farm. Economic environment to be the most influential variable on the perfor-mance of the farm. Entrepreneurial behavour alone has no significant effect on performance. Thus, entre-preneurial behaviour should be viewed as only one causal factor in a complex model of factors that promote performance.

Abstract

EnglishThis research was aimed at analyzing sustainability of rice availability at regional level, based on sustainability index with RAP-RICE method using Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS). This study used primary and secondary data. Result of the MDS analysis RAP-RICE ordinary technique showed that a sustainability index in several regions in Indonesia varied between 33.37 and 67.23. Java and Sumatera were categorized as sustainable sufficient regions, while Kalimantan, Sulawesi and other regions were classified as sustainable less sufficient one. This indicates that the development of rice region should be directed to Sumatera in addition to Java. Analysis on 5 dimensions (ecology, economy, socio-cultural, institution and technology) indicated that the lowest economic dimension was found in Kalimantan, while the lowest ecology dimension was performed in Java and Sumatera has the lowest socio-cultural dimension. Other findings showed that, in Kalimantan the good dimension was the ecology only, while in the other regions have ecology and institution dimensions. Results of leverage analysis indicated that 23 out of 60 attributes were categorized as sensitivity influential to sustainability of rice availability system. Based on prospective analysis, there were seven key factors affecting rice availability system, namely production, productivity, land conversion, land suitability, rice field construction, per capita consumption, and number of population.IndonesianPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberlanjutan sistem ketersediaan beras berdasarkan penilaian indeks dan status keberlanjutan dengan metode RAP-RICE menggunakan Multidimensional Scalling (MDS). Data yang digunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil teknik ordinasi RAP-RICE metode MDS menunjukkan bahwa indeks keberlanjutan ketersediaan beras regional berkisar 33,37 – 67,23. Wilayah Jawa dan Sumatera kategori status cukup berkelanjutan dalam sistem ketersediaan beras, sedangkan Kalimantan, Sulawesi, dan wilayah lainnya kategori kurang berkelanjutan dalam sistem ketersediaan beras. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan wilayah padi/beras selain fokus di Jawa juga sebaiknya diarahkan ke Sumatera. Analisis keberlanjutan sistem ketersediaan beras masing-masing dimensi pada 5 dimensi (ekologi, ekonomi, sosial budaya, kelembagaan, dan teknologi) menunjukkan bahwa dimensi ekonomi yang terendah di Kalimantan, sedangkan ekologi di Jawa, sosial budaya di Sumatera. Sedangkan di Kalimantan yang baik hanya ekologi dan wilayah lain adalah ekologi dan kelembagaan. Dari analisis leverage RAP-RICE didapatkan bahwa dari 60 atribut yang dianalisis ada 23 atribut yang sensitif berpengaruh pada indeks keberlanjutan sistem ketersediaan beras. Berdasarkan analisis prospektif diketahui bahwa ada tujuh faktor kunci atau faktor dominan yang sangat berpengaruh dalam sistem ketersediaan beras yaitu produksi, produktivitas, konversi lahan, pencetakan sawah, kesesuaian lahan, konsumsi per kapita dan jumlah penduduk.

EnglishTourist’s preference to go back to nature makes ecotourism as a potential tourism market, including agricultural-based tourism (agrotourism). Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti is one of agrotourisms located in Citeureup, Bogor which has been opened for public in 2001.  This paper presents visitor characteristics, decision process of visitation, visitors’ response and their satisfaction on attributes provided in the area, and the importance of additional facilities to increase performance of Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti. This study uses descriptive analysis, Importance Performance Analysis, and Friedman Test and Multiple Comparison for Friedman. This study shows that the management of Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti should improve performance of promotion, accessibility to reach interesting locations and objects in the area, and worship facilities. In addition, Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti has to maintain performance of education activity known as the strong point of this location compared to other similar recreational objects.IndonesianKecenderungan wisatawan untuk kembali ke alam menyebabkan pengembangan daya tarik wisata yang berbasiskan alam menjadi potensial, tak terkecuali wisata yang berbasiskan alam pertanian (wisata agro). Kebun Wisata Pasir Mukti merupakan salah satu wisata agro yang terdapat di Citeureup, Bogor dan baru dibuka untuk umum pada tahun 2001. Artikel ini menyajikan hasil penelitian mengenai karakteristik pengunjung, proses keputusan kunjungan, respon pengunjung dan tingkat kepuasan pengunjung terhadap atribut yang ditawarkan oleh Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti, serta fasilitas yang perlu ditambahkan untuk menunjang kinerja Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan beberapa alat analisis antara lain analisa deskriptif, Importance Performance Analysis, serta Uji Friedman dan Multiple Comparison untuk Uji Friedman. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa pihak manajemen Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti sebaiknya memperbaiki kinerja dari promosi, kemudahan mencapai lokasi serta sarana peribadatan. Selain itu, pihak Kebun Wisata Pasirmukti juga sebaiknya mempertahankan kinerja dari kegiatan edukatif yang merupakan keunggulan perusahaan di mata pengunjung dibandingkan dengan obyek wisata lain yang sejenis.

EnglishAlmost all industries become more concentrated. The main concern with the concentration is competition reduction and market power improvement. This research aims: (1) to analyze the impact of industry concentration on the industry’s performance; (2) to analyze impacts of changes in the external factors on the structure, conduct and performance of broiler industry; and (3) to formulate policies to promote farmers’ welfare as well as to enhance the broiler industry. Panel data from broiler industry in eight provinces in Indonesia were analyzed by simultaneous econometric approach and estimated using Two-Stages Least Squares (2SLS). The results show that there is a simultaneous relationship among structure, conduct and performance of broiler industry in Indonesia where integration has a significant relationship to concentration. Furthermore, increased integration will lower the cost per unit. The lower the cost per unit, the more efficient this business will be such that the firm’s power increases. Market power has positive impact on selling price which tends toward monopoly power in the industry. The sensitivity analysis showed that a demand increase by 15 percent would reduce the concentration level by 4.92 percent and lessen gap between smallholders and large companies in the industry by 9.50 percent. It indicates that policy to develop broiler industry will be more effective by boosting the demand rather than enhancing the production only.IndonesianHampir semua segmen industri menjadi lebih terkonsentrasi dari waktu ke waktu. Perhatian utama sehubungan dengan konsentrasi adalah hal ini bisa mengurangi tingkat persaingan di industri dan menghasilkan kekuatan pasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menganalisis dampak konsentrasi terhadap kinerja industri; (2) menganalisis dampak perubahan lingkungan eksternal terhadap struktur, perilaku, dan kinerja industri broiler; dan (3) merumuskan kebijakan yang dapat mensejahterakan masyarakat sekaligus memajukan industri broiler. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel industri broiler dari delapan provinsi di Indonesia yang dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan ekonometrika simultan dan diestimasi menggunakan metode Two-Stage Least Square (2SLS). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan simultan dari struktur, perilaku, dan kinerja industri broiler Indonesia, dimana integrasi memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan terhadap konsentrasi. Selanjutnya integrasi yang meningkat akan menurunkan biaya per unit. Semakin rendah biaya per unit, artinya usaha semakin efisien sehingga kekuatan pasar meningkat. Kekuatan pasar  berdampak positif terhadap harga yang artinya terdapat kekuatan monopoli di industri yang dapat mempengaruhi harga di pasar. Berdasarkan hasil simulasi didapatkan bahwa peningkatan permintaan sebesar 15 persen akan menurunkan tingkat konsentrasi sebesar 4,92 persen dan mengurangi ketimpangan antara usaha rakyat dan perusahaan besar di industri sebesar 9,50 persen. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa kebijakan untuk mengembangkan industri broiler oleh pemerintah akan lebih efektif dengan mendorong terjadinya peningkatan permintaan dibanding hanya dengan mendorong peningkatan produksi.

Abstract

In the practice of e-Commerce, another word for online-based sales activity conducted by firms or organizations via the internet, the credibility of the host site is important. A credible site will be able to attract more visitors, thus increasing the probability of selling the goods or services offered in that particular site. Credibility assessment is not only based on the usability, information quality, and interaction quality of the site alone, but is also based onattributes of marketing mix, which include the originality of the product, the promotion that is currently available, the existence of additional information in the site, as well as other factors. This research aims to link the attributesof marketing mix and site quality assessment (WebQual), such as the usability, information quality, and interaction quality to the credibility of a site. The research models the relation by constructing a structural equation modeling(SEM) and uses two data analyzing techniques: descriptive analysis using cross tabulation and frequency table, and a variance based model analysis using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method. The results show that site credibility assessment on marketing mix improves due to occurring bonus or promotions, selling well known brands, and the availability of delivery services that can be monitored by buyers. In WebQual metrics, site credibility improves due to visitor’s ease of understanding, trust/reliability, and security while visiting or conducting purchases. Site credibility constructions rely on additional vendor information such as contact numbers, vendor ID (address, structure, awards, etc.), shopping guidelines, and feedback speed to customers queries.

Abstract

The aims of the research are to identify the important level of attributes of product quality and customer service on customer satisfaction and loyalty, to analyze the impact of product quality and customer service oncustomer satisfaction and loyalty, and to recommend the corporate strategy to PT Bayer Indonesia on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Types of research are descriptive and explanatory survey and the sampling method is convenientsampling. Unit of observation is two hundreds respon dents through the distribution of questionnaires to the pest control operators in Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Surabaya, Denpasar, Balikpapan, Medan, and Pekanbaru.Attributes and its influence was analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM). Respondents of the study are from Jakarta (46.0%), Bandung (2.5%), Semarang (3.0%), Surabaya (25.0%), Denpasar (5.5%), Balikpapan (2.5%), Pekanbaru (4.0%), Medan (8.5%), and Batam (3.0%). The score of importance level of product quality is for effectivity (91.6%), ease of use (96.1%), flexibility (96.8%), technical specification (95.3%), durability (94.3%), and prestige (97.1%), while for customer service is tangibles (88.6%), reliability (87.0%), responsiveness (89.0%), assurance (94.6%), and empathy (96.8%). The results of explanatory research are product quality (R2 = 0.788; p = 0.003) and customer service (R2 = 0.820; p = 0.001) influence significantly on customer satisfaction, whereas customer satisfaction influence significantly on customer loyalty (R2 = 0.946; p = 0.000). Pest control operators as the applicator of pesticides for urban pest from PT Bayer Indonesia have satisfaction on product quality (95.2%) and customer service (90.5%).
