Abstract

The PBL is more appropriately applied to social studies material that contains social problems. The teacher as a facilitator in implementing the PBL. But in reality, the PBL cannot be applied by all teachers and the presentation of the problem isn’t yet a real problem around the students. The research purpose was to analyze the presentation of factual problems, application of the PBL, and finding the obstacles experienced. The research method is a descriptive percentage that describes the presentation of the problem and the application. The population is ten social sciences teachers from different schools in Ungaran. The sample is a lesson plan from ten social sciences teachers in VII grade. Data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research result showed that the analysis of the problem presentation was quite good at 67%, six teachers use PBL from ten teachers, and Application of the 100% PBL according to the syntax. Constraints are the lack of willingness of teachers in determining problems, and time allocation arrangements are still inappropriate. The conclusion is that not all teachers can use the PBL, and the problem presentation is less factual. Teachers should be more active and creative in applying the PBL.

Abstract

Environment content-based teaching material construction for social studies has become the prototype of the environment content-based social studies learning module for class VII SMPN students in Cirebon. Based on how to develop the construction of the social studies teaching material in accordance with the social studies learning nature so the positive impact on social studies learning activities. This research is R&D development with Borg and model Gall. The purpose of research in this research is to develop the construction of an environmental-based social studies teaching material that suits the types of social studies learning so that it positively affects the learning activities of social studies. The construction of the environmental-based social studies teaching materials in Cirebon, covering several phases including intelligence, schematic, assimilation and accommodation, equalization, and interiorization. The final result of this study is the development of an environmental-based social studies learning module with emphasis on students cognitive structure through the process of the asimilasi and the accommodation supported by direct visits to the Cirebon Kasepuhan. All experiences involve two similar processes such as introduction, or knowing, in connection with the assimilation process, and accommodation that results in a cognitive structure modification. These modifications can be shown as a learning process. Students show the environment-based social studies modules can also be a solution to improve quality in social studies learning

Abstract

Kuncup Melati Junior High School (JHS) is a multiethnic school whose students come from Chinese and Javanese ethnic groups. Both groups have a negative stereotype towards one another and often engage in conflicts. The school opens a room for discussion for both groups, proving that both can coexist in diversity. This study aims to analyze the symbolic interactionism and the implementation of multicultural values. Data analysis technique used were qualitative technique, borrowing the symbolic interactionism theory of Herbert Blumer. The informants were the teachers, the Chinese students, and Javanese students. The data collection technique employed in-depth interview, observation, and documentation study. The results revealed that the symbolic interactionism between two groups can be interpreted from multiethnic friendship and understanding of each other’s culture and religion. This can reduce the stereotype between two groups, and in turn, result in respect from one another. The heterogeneous school environment showcasing the implementation of respect for one another is indirectly internalized in students’ behavior. Multicultural values found in Kuncup Melati JHS are tolerance, solidarity, and equality. This study recommends to open a more diverse multietchnic and multifaith interaction because multicultural values cannot only be taught in class, but rather have to be experienced personally.

Abstract

Social studies have an essential role in applying character values ​​for students. The purpose of social studies is to form good character and prepare students to become good citizens. This is following the goals of character education for children with special needs, namely to meet needs, familiarize social life, and form good behavior and attitudes following the norms prevailing in the society. Therefore, students must live in harmony with the community, and so must be applied in students. So that the problems in the form of a lack of independent nature and self-confidence of SLB students at YPAC Semarang are problems that must be resolved by teachers and schools as facilitators, a low character of student discipline accompanies this lack of attitude, so schools need to implement it. For SMPLB D / D1 YPAC Semarang, character internalization that is trying to be carried out includes the value of the self-confident character to find their potential and develop according to their talents. Have an independent nature to equipping children with special needs to live independently by minimizing assistance from other parties and the character of discipline that will later become provisions before living in society.

Abstract

Face-to-face conventional learning is less attractive, while online learning is also less effective. In the digital era of the 21st century, learning methods must follow the development of information technology under students' experiences, needs, interests, and learning styles. This study aimed to determine the implementation and effectiveness of blended learning in social studies learning to improve 21st-century skills. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results showed that the implementation of blended learning in SMP Semesta Bilingual Boarding School Semarang was based on Google Classroom and Edunav with Chromebook, Microsoft Surface, and interactive digital smartboard. Implementing blended learning is effective for improving 21st-century skills because it follows today's students' characteristics, learning styles, and learning needs. Blended learning is the best solution for 21st-century social studies learning. Blended learning in social studies learning at SMP Semesta Bilingual Boarding School Semarang is a perfect blend of teachers, students, and 21st-century technology called Technology Integrated Classroom.

Abstract

Muslimat merupakan organisasi sosial keagamaan bagian dari NU yang telah melaksanakan perannya dalam membangun perempuan. Muslimat merupakan organisasi sosial kemasyarakatan Muslimat dalam meningkatkan status perempuan yaitu dengan melaksanakan program pemberdayaan di bidang sosial, lingkungan hidup, koperasi, organisasi, budaya, dakwah dan penerangan serta ekonomi. Program-program yang terlaksana yaitu membangun klinik, program KB yang bekerjasama dengan PKK dan BKKBN, mendata majlis ta’lim, mendata khafidhoh menyelenggarakan hari besar Islam, siraman rohani, lomba-lomba MTQ dan da’wah, membangun panti asuhan PSAA, bakti sosial, dan membangun klinik Siti Rohmah. Muslimat telah berperan penting di Batang seperti mendirikan panti asuhan, pendidikan, kesehatan, dan juga dalam hal agama. Muslimat di Batang telah memperhatikan anggotanya yang tercermin melalui gerakan yang dilakukan Muslimat selama ini, dibuktikan dengan adanya klinik dibawah YKM NU dari sinilah nantinya digalakan KB, sosialisasi mengenai kesehatan yang berpengaruh kepada kesehatan masyarakat Batang. Mendirikan panti asuhan yang dilandasi dengan tujuan kesejahteraan sosial bagi anak-anak terlantar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation of BPI learning activities at SDIT Nurul Islam Tengaran. The development of character values in schools is a barometer of the success of character education. SDIT Nurul Islam Tengaran is one of the Islamic schools that prioritize Islamic character values with the Islamic Personal Development (BPI) program. This research approach is qualitative in the form of case studies. Data were obtained by means of observation, interviews, and document studies. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using qualitative analysis, in which the research results will be translated into words so that researchers can describe the research results in depth according to the actual conditions in the field. The results of the research at SDIT Nurul Islam Tengaran show that the management of BPI based on character education includes: (1) planning with the stages of the process: determining the BPI team from class teachers and subject teachers, compiling BPI SOPs in learning, preparing online, blended schedules and offline mode, BPI implementation strategy, and determination of BPI material in accordance with SKL JSIT Indonesia (2) implementation in the form of socialization of the BPI program to teachers, students and parents as well as various strategies during the pandemic and (3) evaluation in the form of Process evaluation and evaluation of results.

Abstract

Lack of knowledge about working capital management caused the sustainability of start-ups in UNNES area is still being low. It resulted that manager of start-ups are difficult to develop themselves. Therefore, it need for training to improve the skills in making good financial, so the sustainability of start-ups is reached. To increase of the existence and sustainability of start-ups are also required the reinforcement of working capital management by manager of the start-up. Then, focus of devotion is the owner and manager of the start-ups in UNNES area that gathered in HIPMI PT UNNES. Purpose of this devotion is improving and making good working capital management for the sustainability of start-up. Participants in this devotion 25 people. Procedure in this devotion is carried out by delivering of material on working capital management. In supporting of devotion, the dedication team arranges the module of working capital management. Outcome of this devotion is creating that the manger of the start-up can continue their start-up, so it can reduce the number of unemployment.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan menganai penulisan sejarah lokal dan implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar, terutama bagian penilaian (assesmen). Mitra dari kegiatan ini adalah MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Boyolali. Metode kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan dengan ceramah dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menujukkan bahwa tujuan dari kegiatan pelatihan ini tercapai. Lebih lanjut lagi kegiatan pelatihan ini cukup efektif ditinjau dari materi dan waktu, serta antusiasme peserta selama pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini sangat bagus dan baik. Kegiatan pelatihan juga ini memberikan motivasi dan pemahaman kepada MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Boyolali mengenai penulisan sejarah lokal dan implementasi kurikulum merdeka, terutama pada bagian penilaian (assesmen). Mitra MGMP Sejarah Kabupaten Boyolali telah memiliki alternatif pemecahan masalah yang dihadapi dalam penulisan sejarah lokal dan mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka dalam bagian penilaian.

Abstract

The climate of Semarang that caracterized by dry and hot temperature,low humidity causes the use of air conditioning system in the residential building to obtain indoor thermal comfort. The rise of electricity rate will give a significant effect to the society, the strategy of domestic electricity consumption to be more effeicient is needed. The Government must make a policy as the Goverment Goodwill to realize the attention of electricity consumption efficiency as the experience of the neighbouring country, Malaysia. The efficiency of elecricity consumption was applied in the vision of City in the Garden. It is the government obligation to exemplify the pattern of energi saving to solve the issueof energi crisis. Related previous studies proved building design caused a squanderring of electricity consumption that harmed the environment. One of environmental friendly elements on building design is the application of greenwall.The initial experiment of this study carried out by creeping the plant up the wall of building model. The temperatur of building walls was hourly measured along the day. The result of this study found that creeped plant up the wall building decrease 20C of the indoor temperature. The application of greenwall showed the indoor temperature was lower the outdoor. The second result found that the decrease of indoor temperature was also influence by the planted area. The most effective place of the planted area is in middle of vertical wall.
