Abstract

Curcumin and β-carotene are two kinds of pigments serve as antitumor, anticancer and antioxidant agents. Theantioxidant activity of curcumin is stronger and more stable as compared to β-carotene, so it can protect β-carotene degradation from light and oxygen. Therefore curcumin has higher antioxidant activity as well. Theresearch was conducted by mixing curcumin and β-carotene in several molarity ratios followed by iradiation usingvolpi lamp for 0, 10, 30, 60, and 90 minutes. The result shows that curcumin has photoprotection effect because itcan protect photooxidation of β-carotene. Mixing of curcumin and β-carotene 1:1 was the most stable ratio forprotecting β-carotene.

Abstract

According to the Survey UN (United Nations) in 2014, e-government and innovation can provide major opportunities to transform the public administration becomes a tool of sustainable development, provide services more transparent and more accountable. Formerly, the development of government services can be done with a variety of channels, either through online services, big data, social media, mobile applications, or cloud computing, have expanded our perception of e-government services. The research aims to assess the level of achievement of e-Government implementation in the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. Assessment is measured by the Indonesian e-Government Rating framework. The data in this research are obtained by qualitative approach and descriptive data analysis. The finding of this research that the implementation of  e-Government in Ministry of Education and Culture in the category of "Very Good". Based on such an assessment, given the recommendation:  assemblying policies Governance of ICT, aligning the ICT Master Plan by principle of ICT Governance, fulfilling documents related to human Resources of ICT and the application documents, the standardization of domain labeling and e-education, completing information systems/ technogy of management and organizational design, assemblying the development plan of e-education content, and development plans of information system and information technology.

Abstract

ABSTRACT   Puji Rahayu. EXISTENCE OF BATIK TULIS CRAFT (Development Studies and Socio-Economic Impact of Rural Community Kebon, Bayat district, Klaten). Thesis. Surakarta: Teacher training and education faculty in Sebelas Maret University. July 2012. The aim of this study is to determine: (1) the development of Batik Tulis production in the Kebon village, (2) market network system of batik tulis craft in the Kebon village, (3) the influence of Batik Tulis craft for social and economic life of the villagers Kebon. The methodology of this research was qualitative descriptive. On this research used a single fixed case study which the object would be observed has limited and centralized on certain location which has special characteristics. The data sources used were the source object, places, events, informants and documents. The technique of collecting data used were observation, interviews, and documents analysis. The technique of sampling used was purposive sampling is getting sampling based on the purpose of the research, the place where the researcher choose informant  who know the issues deeply and can be trusted. In this research used two triangulation techniques to find out the validity of the data namely triangulation data and triangulation method. Technique of analyzing data used was interactive analysis which the analysis process that moves between three components there was data reduction, data presentation and verification or inference which took place in a cycle. Based on this research can be concluded that: (1) the development of  batik tulis production in Kebon village since 2007, its production process is still using the traditional way, using the coloring and motifs of nature (2) market network system of the batik tulis craft to Semarang, Yogyakarta and Jakarta and marketed through exhibitions and internet (3) the existence of batik tulis craft in the Kebon village bring influence to the surrounding community, namely the influence of the social field, such as adding a good relationship between citizens and the changing social status of the unemployed become crafters. While the economy is able to increase income and welfare.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil penguasaan konsep siswa pada sub materi gerak jatuh bebas dengan menggunakan four tier diagnostic test. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan mix method tipe embedded. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Kedungadem, Bojonegoro, Jawa Timur pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019 dengan subjek penelitian 50 siswa kelas x. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis profil penguasaan konsep siswa pada sub materi gerak jatuh bebas yang diperoleh dengan mengacu pada kombinasi jawaban four tier diagnostic test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa mengalami miskonsepsi dengan persentase 40,67%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa juga mengalami paham sebagian konsep sebesar 26,67%, tidak paham konsep sebesar 16,67%, tidak dapat dikodekan sebesar 0,67%, serta paham konsep sebesar 15,33%. Faktor penyebab miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa adalah rendahnya pemahaman konsep siswa serta penggunaan metode mengajar guru yang tidak tepat. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa profil penguasaan konsep siswa pada sub materi gerak jatuh bebas tertinggi adalah pada kategori miskonsepsi. Abstract

Abstrak Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas IV membutuhkan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu memahami materi pembelajaran. Sehingga dikembangkan media pembelajaran yaitu media papan flanel berputar yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajara sebagai tujuan utama penelitian ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian penggembangan dengan model 4-D yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, yakni: pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan. Berdasarkan data uji coba kevalidan, media pembelajaran dan materi berada pada kategori sangat valid dengan skor media pembelajaran 86,7% dan materi 84%. Dan dua uji coba menghasilkan presetase angket siswa sebesar 83,8% dan 90,1% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa media papan flanel berputar layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran pada siswa kelas IV SDN Ngampel II dan SDN Ngampel III. Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, papan flanel berputar, dampak globalisasi. Abstract The premilinary study result shows that fourth grade students need learning media which can support the students to master the learning material. As for that reason, it is developed learning media which is the spinning flanel board which is proper to be used as the main purpose of this research. This research uses develop research metodology with 4-D which consists of three steps, such as : define, design, and develop. Based on validation of trial data, learning media and material are on very proper category which is learning media score is 86,7% and material is 84%. And two trials deliver percent of students questionnaire of 83,8% and 90,1 % which are very proper category. The result can be concluded that the spinning flanel board is proper to be used on learning process for fourth grade students in SDN Ngampel II and SDN Ngampel III. Abstract

Agar suatu kematian bisa disebut dengan bunuh diri (suicide), maka harus disertai dengan adanya niat untuk bunuh diri (suicide intent), sehingga percobaan bunuh diri (suicide attempt) merupakan hal yang cukup berbeda namun memiliki hubungan yang kompleks dengan bunuh diri (berhasil). Salah satu ahli teori bunuh diri, David Emile Durkheim meyakini bahwa penyebab terbesar terjadinya bunuh diri adalah akibat pengaruh dari integrasi sosial. Durkheim telah mengklasifikasikan bunuh diri dalam beberapa jenis, yaitu egoistic, anomic, altruistic serta fatalistic. Perilaku bunuh diri merupakan sebuah realitas sosial yang menunjukkan kekhawatiran  dan cukup memprihatinkan. Melalui penelitian ini, kami bertujuan mengeksplorasi fenomena “suicide” pada mahasiswa, salah satunya dengan melihat tingkat kecenderungan ide bunuh diri (suicide ideation) dalam pikiran mereka. Tipe penelitian yang kami gunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik accidental sampling, untuk pengumpulan data menggunakan skala psikologi berupa angket kuisioner. Skala yang kami gunakan mengadaptasi skala The Suicidal Behaviors Questionnarie-Revised (SBQ-R) untuk mengukur ide dan upaya untuk melakukan bunuh diri.In order for a death to be called suicide, it must be accompanied by suicide intent, so suicide attempts are quite different but have a complex relationship with suicide (succeed) . One suicide theorist, David Emile Durkheim believes that the biggest cause of suicide is due to the influence of social integration. Durkheim has classified suicide in several types, namely egoistic, anomic, altruistic and fatalistic. Suicidal behavior is a social reality that shows concern and is quite alarming. Through this research, we aim to explore the phenomenon of "suicide" in students, one of them by looking at the level of suicidal ideation in their minds. The type of research we use is descriptive research with a quantitative approach, sampling using accidental sampling techniques, for collecting data using a psychological scale in the form of questionnaire questionnaires. The scale we use adapts the scale of The Suicidal Behavior Questionnaire-Revised (SBQ-R) to measures ideas and attempts to commit suicide.

Abstract

The spatial sense ability of elementary school students is still low. Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach is considered able to improve students' spatial sense abilities. This research aims to find out the increase of spatial sense of elementary school students who learned with CPA approach and conventional learning in terms of overall students as well as categories of high, medium, and low Mathematical Prior Ability (MPA). This research uses a quasi-experimental method with pretest and posttest control design in Mathematics subject with the topic of 3D geometry for 131 fifth grade elementary school students in Kotabaru District, Karawang Regency and Cipeundeuy District, Subang Regency. This research was conducted by dividing the students into two groups, namely students who received learning using CPA approach as the experimental group and students who received conventional learning as the control group. Descriptive analysis and inferential analysis results showed that there was an increase of spatial sense in students who learned with CPA approach, which was better than students who received conventional learning. Thus, learning using the CPA approach can improve and develop spatial sense abilities of elementary school students.

Abstract

Teaching English as a foreign language to students with special needs is somewhat different of those mainstream students. The teachers may face lots of difficulties and therefore,  they must apply different techniques in teaching the students. The goal of this study is to figure out the techniques applied for Teaching English to students with special educational needs. This study is conducted in a Senior high school for students with special needs (SMALB) in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. The study is based on classroom observations and interview with the English teacher. The findings conclude that teacher applied six  different techniques in teaching English as follow; (1) transcription, (2) Question and Answer, (3) Repetition Drill, (4) Reading Aloud, (5) Memorization and (6) Reading aloud.

Abstract

Sebagai negara agraris, Indonesia memiliki lahan persawahan yang sangat luas. Padi yang kemudian diolah menjadi beras merupakan bahan pangan utama masyarakat Indonesia. Batang padi selama ini dibuang sebagai limbah dan tidak termanfaatkan dengan baik, padahal dengan kandungan karbon didalamnya, batang padi dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan dasar reduced graphene oxide (rGO). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variasi suhu pemanasan terhadap nilai kapasitansi dan morfologi rGO berbahan dasar limbah batang padi. Pembuatan rGO meliputi beberapa tahap, yaitu dehidrasi, karbonasi dan kalsinasi. Tahap dehidrasi dilakukan pada suhu 110?C selama 12 jam yang dilanjutkan dengan karbonasi pada suhu 400?C selama 1,5 jam. Sampel karbon hasil karbonasi diuji proximate untuk menentukan kandungan fixed carbon pada sampel, dan diuji Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) untuk mengetahui posisi perubahan massa bila dikenai perubahan suhu. Dari hasil uji proximate dan TGA diketahui bahwa kandungan fixed carbon adalah 18,23% dan perubahan massa terjadi pada suhu 200?C hingga 350?C. Langkah selanjutnya dilakukan tahap karbonasi dengan variasi suhu, dan dilakukan uji X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) dan Voltametri siklik. Hasil karakerterisasi XRD diidentifikasi keberadaan puncak rGO dan GO. Nilai kapasitansi rGO dari batang padi cukup kecil bila dibandingkan dengan rGO komersial. As an agrarian country, Indonesia has a very large rice field. Rice which is then processed into rice is the main foodstuff of the Indonesian people. Rice stalks have been thrown away as waste and are not utilized properly, whereas with the carbon content in them, rice stems can be used as a basis for reduced graphene oxide (rGO). This study aims to analyze the effect of heating temperature variations on the capacitance and morphological values of rGO based on rice stem waste. Making RGO includes several stages, namely dehydration, carbonation and calcination. The dehydration stage is carried out at 110?C for 12 hours followed by carbonation at 400?C for 1.5 hours. Carbon samples from carbonation results were tested proximate to determine the fixed carbon content of the samples, and tested by Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) to determine the position of changes in mass when subjected to changes in temperature. From the proximate and TGA test results it is known that the fixed carbon content is 18.23% and mass changes occur at temperatures of 200 ° C to 350 ° C. The next step is the carbonation stage with temperature variations, and the X-ray Diffractometer (XRD) and cyclic voltammetry tests are performed. From the results of XRD characterization identified the existence of the peak rGO and GO. The capacitance value of rGO from rice stalks is quite small when compared to commercial ones.

Abstract

As online learning resources increase exponentially on the World Wide Web, online students have difficulty choosing the most suitable and relevant learning material that meets their learning needs due to information overload. Online learning recommendation system is used to predict the preferences or ranking of learners' targets on learning objects for the purpose of generating recommendations. However, the Recommendation system is considered to lack the ability to resolve semantic interoperability issues with heterogeneous sources of information. The purpose of this study is to discuss the role of ontology in the development of recommendation systems in the online learning domain. There are four electronic journal databases selected as references, namely IEEE, Science Direct, Springer Link, and ACM Digital Library. This study obtained 9 articles that were synthesized to answer research questions. This study shows that the involvement of ontology for knowledge representation in the recommendation process can improve the accuracy and quality of recommendations and at the same time help to overcome the weaknesses associated with conventional recommendations.
