Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) Overview of parenting patterns and the formation of students' character; 2) The influence of parenting patterns on the formation of the character of students. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of associative research. This study highlights two variables, namely parenting patterns (variable X), and the formation of students' character (variable Y). The population is 267 teachers. While the research sample as much as 50% of the total population (134 people) were taken using proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaire, observation, and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that: 1) The parenting pattern of the parents was in the moderate category. 2) The formation of the character of students is included in the medium category; 3) There is a positive and significant influence between parenting patterns on the formation of students' character.

Abstract

Personnel administration services is one type of administrative services at the Faculty of education is still often get the spotlight from the employee served. Various deficiencies or weaknesses in providing administrative services personnel need to be evaluated in order to get a completion, so that service personnel in the future much simpler to keep referring to the basic essence that employment rights can be obtained when the obligations have been met by the civil servants concerned. Therefore the speed, accuracy and thoroughness in providing staffing services will provide more value when the settlement process can be done on time and on target. The results showed that: (i) Service personnel administration at the Faculty of Education, State University of Makassar as a whole has not been optimal. This is due to the absence of a set of service standards as a guide in providing administrative services personnel. (ii) Factors that support the implementation of administrative services officers are sufficient numbers of staff there still exists some employees who have the passion and motivation, and reward / compensation is adequate. While the factors that hinder the work is the absence of procedures, the ability of officers who are still limited, inadequate support facilities as well as the discipline of some employees are still low.

Abstract

Kinerja pegawai merupakan salah satu tolak ukur yang sangat vital dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi publik maupun profit.Salah satu upaya meningkatkan kinerja adalah dengan jalan memberikan peraturan kedisiplinan pegawai.Akan tetapi dalam realitas terjadi meskipun kedisiplinan pegawai telah diatur dalam undang-undang belum terlaksana secara maksimal. Hal tersebut, dilator belakangi oleh faktor pejabat yang Berwenang dalam Menerapkan Peraturan Disiplin belum terlaksana maksimal,  dan kesadaran pegawai akan pentingnya disiplin kerja masih rendah. Oleh karena itu, dbutuhkan kebijakan lebih lanjut yang sifatnya mengikat agar terciptanya kinerja pegawai yang berkualitas. Kata Kunci: Kinerja Pegawai, Penegakan Kedisiplinan

Abstract

The potential of every human resource in each office must be utilized as well as possible so as to provide optimal output. This study aims to determine the effect of compensation on employee performance in the Bissappu District Office, Bantaeng Regency. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 52 and determining the amount of 5 percent of the population so that 46 samples are obtained. Of the 46 samples 44 of them were made as Respondents and 2 were used as Informants. Data collection techniques observation, questionnaire, interview, and documentation, while the data analysis technique used is the percentage statistics. The results showed that the effect of compensation in the District Office of Bissappu in Bantaeng Regency was classified as very high in terms of indicators of direct compensation and indirect compensation. The work performance of employees in the Bissappu District Office of Bantaeng Regency is classified in the very high category in terms of indicators of work quality, work quantity, level of reliability, and attitude. Hypothesis testing results indicate that there is a significant relationship between compensation for employee performance in the District Office of Bissappu, Bantaeng Regency.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) an overview of the implementation of academic supervision, the Teacher Working Group (KKG), and teachers’ pedagogic competences; 2) The effect of academic supervision and the Teacher Working Group (KKG) on the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Manggala District, Makassar City. This quantitative study was performed in the form of an associative research. The objects of this study were 309 elementary school teachers at 30 schools in Manggala District, Makassar City. Samples were 50% of the total population (155 people) selected using a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected from questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The obtained data were then analyzed using descriptive statistics and hypotheses were tested based on inferential statistic test. The results of the study showed that: The effectiveness of academic supervision was regarded moderate, while the Teacher Working Group (KKG) was considered effective. In addition, teachers’ pedagogical competence was categorized moderate category. Furthermore, the academic supervision and the Teacher Working Group showed a positive and significant contribution on the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Manggala Kota District Makassar. Thus, it can be concluded that academic supervision activities carried out by school principals and activities carried out in the Teacher Working Group (KKG) forum improved elementary school teachers’ pedagogical competence.

Abstract

Abstrak: Analisis Prestasi Belajar Mahasiswa Lulusan Sekolah Menengah Umum dan Sekolah Menengan Kejuruan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan prestasi belajar mahasiswa lulusan Sekolah Menengah Umum dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan dan untuk menganalisis faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat prestasi belajar mahasiswa.. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa pada program studi Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran Fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif,  jenis ex post facto dengan eksplanasi komparatif. Populasi pada penelitian ini sebanyak 335 mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 167 mahasiswa yang diambil menggunakan metode probability sampling.  Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji F, anava, dan t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Prestasi belajar mahasiswa lulusan Sekolah Menengah Umum rata-rata 3,72 dan  lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan rata-rata 3,77; 2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan prestasi belajar antara mahasiswa lulusan Sekolah Menengah Umum dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan; 3) Faktor-faktor pendukung prestasi belajar meliputi: motivasi belajar, inteligensi, konsentrasi, tujuan yang ingin dicapai, rajin kuliah dan mengerjakan tugas, keaktifan dalam perkuliahan, manajemen waktu yang baik, suasana belajar yang kondusif, dan hubungan mahasiswa dengan dosen. Faktor penghambat: malas, jarak tempat tinggal yang jauh, persepsi mahasiswa salah jurusan, jadwal  kuliah sore, dan metode pembelajaran yang monoton. Kata kunci: prestasi belajar; indeks prestasi komulatif; hasil belajar; sekolah menengah umum; sekolah  menengah kejuruan.  Abstract: Analysis of Student Achievement of Graduates of Senior High School and Vocational High School. The research aims to analyze the differences in the learning achievement of students who graduate from Senior High School and Vocational High School and to analyze the factors that support and hinder student achievement. The research subjects are students in the Office Administration Education study program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Makassar State University. This research uses a quantitative approach, ex post facto type with comparative explanation. The population in this study were 335 students. The research sample was 167 students who were taken using probability sampling method. Collecting data using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. Hypothesis testing uses the F test, ANOVA, and t-Test. The results showed: 1) The learning achievement of students graduating from Senior High School was 3.72 on average and Vocational High School graduates had an average of 3.77; 2) There is no significant difference in learning achievement between students who graduated from Senior High School and Vocational High School; 3) Supporting factors for learning achievement include: learning motivation, intelligence, concentration, goals to be achieved, diligent in studying and doing assignments, activeness in lectures, good time management, a conducive learning atmosphere, and student relations with lecturers. Inhibiting factors: laziness, distance to live far away, student perceptions of misdirection, afternoon class schedules, and monotonous learning methods. Keywords: learning achievement; grade point average; learning outcomes; senior high schools; vocational high schools.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Motivasi dan pengalaman kerja yang dimiliki seorang aparat desa dalam memimpin masyarakat sangat penting karena pengalaman kerja yang dimilikinya akan dapat membantu melaksanakan tugas tugas yang telah diamanahkan kepada mereka, maupun menjalakan program kerja dengan baik sesuai dengan target yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah daerah, memiliki kemampuan untuk mengambil keputusan dan berani mengambil resiko yang dihadapinya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui motivasi dan pengalaman kerja pada Aparat Desa dalam pelaksanaan tugas pemerintahan desa di Kecamatan Pattallassang Kabupaten Gowa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah interview, dokumen dan observasi. Teknik analisis data adalah reduksi data, olah data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah motivasi atau dorongan atau support yang diberikan kepada aparat desa baik oleh lingkungan maupun oleh Pemerintah Kecamatan sangat mendukung bagi peningkatan kinerja aparat, mereka akan lebih terdorong keinginannya untuk meningkatkan etos kerja mereka. Pengaruhnya terhadap kinerja tidak signifikan. Pengalaman kerja yang dimiliki oleh seorang aparat berpengaruh paling signifikan terhadap kinerja aparat desa secara parsial, semakin lama seorang aparat memegang jabatan, maka akan semakin banyak pula pengalaman yang mereka miliki. Kata Kunci: Motivasi, pengajalan kerja, Program kerja, Resiko. ABSTRACTMotivation and work experience that a village official has in leading the community is very important because the work experience he has will be able to help carry out the tasks that have been assigned to them, as well as carry out work programs properly according to the targets set by the local government, have the ability to take decision and dare to take the risks it faces. The purpose of this study was to determine the motivation and work experience of village officials in the implementation of village government tasks in Pattallassang District, Gowa Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are interviews, documents and observations. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data processing and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the motivation or encouragement or support given to village officials both by the environment and by the District Government is very supportive of improving the performance of the apparatus, they will be more motivated by their desire to improve their work ethic. The effect on performance is insignificant. The work experience possessed by an official has the most significant effect on the performance of the village apparatus partially, the longer an officer holds a position, the more experience they will have.Keywords: Motivation, work teaching, work program, risk.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the public relations strategy of Makassar State University in increasing the positive image of Makassar State University in the community. To find out these objectives, the researchers used a type of qualitative descriptive research. The informants in this study were as many as five people using data collection techniques carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Data obtained from research results are processed using data analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Public Relations devised a strategy so that the function could run in accordance with the objectives of Makassar State University, among others, trying to create a conducive climate between institutions and the public in order to do persuasive and educative approaches to the public, trying to create two-way communication by disseminating information from institutions to public parties. educate and provide information, in order to create mutual understanding, respect, understanding and also strive to foster harmonious relations between organizations and various groups, both in and out relations to enhance cooperation. Public Relations seeks to socialize the Makassar State University mission to be accepted or received support from the public / public.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelaksanaan arsip pada Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif, yaitu penelitian yang menggambarkan efektivitas pelaksanaan kearsipan pada Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan yang berjumlah keseluruhan 372 orang. Peneliti mengambil sampel sebanyak 74 orang dan penarikan sampel dilakukan secara Probability Sampling dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling, Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, angket, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik persentase dalam bentuk tabel frekuensi.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa efektivitas pelaksanaan kearsipan pada Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan berada pada kategori efektif, Pelaksanaan kearsipan diukur melalui Indikator penciptaan arsip, penggunaan arsip, penyimpanan arsip, pemeliharaan arsip, dan penyusutan dan pemusnahan arsip. Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Kearsipan

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan dalam bentuk pelatihan bagi para guru di jenjang sekolah dasar lingkup Gugus 2 Kecamatan Manggala Kota Makassar untuk membuat dan menggunakan media pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswa. Melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran yang baik dan tepat, penyampaian materi mampu diserap dengan lebih baik oleh siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu tahap pertama yakni tahap persiapan yang terdiri dari observasi lapangan, pemantapan dan penentuan lokasi pelatihan dan penyusunan bahan/materi pelatihan; tahap kedua yakni pelaksanaan pembuatan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran; dan tahap ketiga yakni evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh pemateri. Indikator kegiatan ini dikatakan berhasil adalah apabila peserta mampu membuat dan menggunakan media pembelajaran secara baik dan tepat. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM ini telah mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, kemampuan dan keterampilan dalam pembuatan dan penggunaan media pembelajaran baik elektronik maupun non-elektronik sebagai kegiatan peningkatan profesionalisme guru sehingga dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan bagi siswaAbstract:  This community service aims to provide skills for teachers at the elementary school level in the scope of Cluster 2, Manggala District, Makassar City to create and use learning media that is fun for students. Through the use of good and appropriate learning media, the delivery of material can be better absorbed by students. In the future, with an increase in the quality of teachers in making and using learning media, it is hoped that elementary school students will be able to learn in a fun way. The service activity consists of three stages, the first stage is the preparation stage consisting of field observations, consolidation, and determination of training locations and preparation of training materials; the second stage is the implementation of making and using learning media; and the third stage, namely the evaluation conducted by the speaker. The indicator of this activity is said to be successful if the participants can make and use learning media properly and appropriately. Based on the results of the implementation of PKM activities, it can be concluded that this PKM activity has been able to increase knowledge, abilities, and skills in the manufacture and use of instructional media as an activity to increase teacher professionalism.
