Abstract

Purpose – This article aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the epistemology of gender justice in the thoughts of Husein Muhammad and Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir, particularly in formulating the theological and ethical legitimacy of women's rights to pursue a career after marriage, as well as assessing the contribution of both their thoughts to the renewal of religious understanding in Indonesia. Methods – This study used a comparative approach to the thoughts of Husein Muhammad and Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir and a comparative epistemology. Primary data were obtained from the works of these two figures. Secondary data were obtained from relevant sources. The data were analyzed through a critical reading of the epistemological approach, argumentation patterns, and normative implications of each thought. Findings – The study found that both figures affirm women's right to a career as part of the principles of justice and reciprocity in Islam but through different epistemological paths. Husein Muhammad emphasizes historical-epistemological criticism of patriarchal fiqh constructions, while Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir develops the mubādalah methodology as an applicable relational ethic. These differences do not negate each other, but rather enrich the plural and dynamic discourse of Islamic feminism. Both epistemologies have real transformative power when translated into family law discourse, public policy, and social practices in Indonesia, although their implementation still faces cultural resistance and regulatory structures that are not yet fully gender-responsive. Research contribution/limitations – This research contributes to the provision of a theoretical and argumentative framework that can be used to formulate a discourse of moderate gender justice rooted in the Islamic intellectual tradition.

Abstract

Interest in learning history among students, especially in rural areas of Indonesia, has decreased significantly, so that only about 35% of students show high interest in the subject. This condition has the potential to threaten their understanding of culture and national identity. This study aims to examine the use of the Japanese Fortress located in Badean Village as a source of history learning to increase the learning interest of MTs Nurul Iman students. A qualitative approach with an exploratory design is applied to explore the experiences and perceptions of students, teachers, and the community through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and focused group discussions. The results of the study revealed that visits and hands-on learning at the Japanese Fort site were able to increase students' interest and understanding of history. Interactive and contextual learning experiences encourage deeper emotional engagement of students. In addition, the use of these local historical sites helps students identify and live the cultural values inherent in their communities. These findings show the effectiveness of the Japanese Fortress as a historical educational medium in strengthening the cultural identity and learning motivation of MTs Nurul Iman students. The research recommends the need for adequate education policy support, special training for teachers, and improvements to the physical facilities of the site to optimize the use of local historical heritage. The integration of historical sites into the formal curriculum is also suggested as a strategic step in improving the quality of history learning in Indonesia as a whole.

Abstract

Banyuwangi Regency possesses significant local historical potential through the presence of sites such as Songgon Cave, Wongsorejo Cave, Kalipuro Cave, and the Neolithic Site of Kendenglembu. These resources have not yet been optimally utilised within the history learning process at the upper secondary school level. This study aims to develop a digital instructional medium based on artificial intelligence that reconstructs local historical sites in a visual and educational manner. The research employs a 4D model of Research and Development (R&D), comprising the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The sample includes 200 upper secondary school students selected through stratified purposive sampling. Data collection techniques encompass pre-tests and post-tests, expert validation, observation, and interviews with local community members. The results show that expert validation yielded a feasibility score of 92% and usability of 89%. The students’ pre-test score was 61.4, increasing to 84.7 in the post-test, with an effectiveness value of Cohen’s d at 1.72. The media is deemed highly suitable for use in local wisdom-based history learning. This research recommends further development in integrating virtual reality and enhancing visual data through GIS. AI-based media is expected to reinforce contextual, immersive, and relevant local history learning for the current digital generation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perubahan sosial ekonomi Pasar Tradisional Pesucen dalam menghadapi maraknya belanja online di era digital, khususnya melalui platform digital seperti TikTok Shop. Fokus penelitian meliputi perubahan pendapatan pedagang, pergeseran pola interaksi sosial antara pedagang dan konsumen, serta strategi adaptasi yang dilakukan pedagang pasar tradisional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur dan wawancara mendalam. Studi literatur dilakukan terhadap artikel jurnal, buku ilmiah, dan dokumen kebijakan yang relevan, sedangkan wawancara dilakukan kepada pedagang Pasar Tradisional Pesucen yang terdampak langsung oleh perkembangan belanja online. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik kualitatif untuk mengidentifikasi pola perubahan sosial ekonomi dan strategi adaptasi pedagang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa maraknya belanja online berdampak pada penurunan pendapatan pedagang, berkurangnya jumlah pengunjung pasar, serta melemahnya interaksi sosial yang selama ini menjadi ciri khas pasar tradisional. Namun demikian, sebagian pedagang mulai melakukan adaptasi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital sederhana dan memperkuat relasi sosial dengan pelanggan tetap. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberlanjutan pasar tradisional di era digital bergantung pada kemampuan pedagang dalam mengombinasikan strategi adaptasi digital dengan penguatan fungsi sosial pasar tradisional.

Abstract

Abstrak Artikel ini menganalisis secara mendalam relevansi kejujuran dalam QS. At-Taubah sebagai karakter inti dalam pendidikan di era digital. Dilatarbelakangi oleh tantangan moral seperti disinformasi dan penyalahgunaan teknologi, penelitian kualitatif deskriptif-analitis ini menggunakan kajian pustaka, melibatkan tafsir klasik dan kontemporer, serta hadis. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa QS. At-Taubah: 119 memberikan panduan moral signifikan terkait kejujuran, yang esensial untuk membangun karakter siswa yang bertanggung jawab dan berintegritas di dunia nyata maupun digital. Implementasi praktis kejujuran ini dapat diintegrasikan melalui pendekatan pedagogis inovatif seperti pembelajaran berbasis proyek digital, simulasi studi kasus etika digital, dan integrasi tentang nilai kejujuran dalam kurikulum umum. Pendekatan ini didukung oleh berbagai studi yang menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai oleh pendidik efektif dalam mengatasi dekadensi moral, sehingga pelatihan guru secara reguler sangat penting untuk memfasilitasi integrasi nilai ini di seluruh mata pelajaran. Selain itu, pendekatan berbasis narasi dan konsep amanah, seperti kisah Ka’ab bin Malik, menjadi metode efektif dalam penanaman kejujuran. Kesimpulannya, pendidikan berbasis nilai Qur’ani, khususnya kejujuran, sangat krusial untuk membentuk generasi yang etis, bertanggung jawab, dan adaptif terhadap tantangan era digital, memastikan integritas moral di tengah kemajuan teknologi. Abstract This article thoroughly analyzes the relevance of honesty in QS. At-Taubah as a core character trait in digital age education. Driven by contemporary moral challenges such as disinformation and technology misuse, this descriptive-analytical qualitative study employs a comprehensive literature review, drawing upon classical and contemporary tafsir (Qur'anic exegesis), alongside hadith. Findings indicate that QS. At-Taubah: 119 provides significant moral guidance on honesty, essential for cultivating responsible and integrated student character in both physical and digital realms. Practical implementation of this honesty can be achieved through innovative pedagogical approaches, including digital project-based learning, ethical digital case study simulations, and the integration of integrity values into general curricula. This approach is substantiated by various studies demonstrating that educators' integration of values effectively counters moral decadence, underscoring the critical need for regular teacher training to facilitate this across all subjects. Furthermore, narrative-based approaches and the concept of ‘amanah’ (trust/responsibility), exemplified by the story of Ka’ab bin Malik, prove effective methods for instilling honesty. In conclusion, Qur’anic value-based education, particularly emphasizing honesty, is crucial for shaping a generation that is ethical, responsible, and adaptable to the demands of the digital age, thereby ensuring moral integrity amidst technological advancements.

Abstract

The educational transformation of Society 5.0 has increasingly positioned machines as autonomous pedagogical agents, raising critical questions about the relationship between adab and algorithms in Islamic education. This study aimed to analyze the dialectic between these two constructs, address the literature gap concerning the ethical depletion risks associated with artificial intelligence, and examine the threat such developments pose to the sacredness of knowledge transmission in the Islamic tradition. More specifically, the study sought to deconstruct claims that machines can assume the role of the teacher while reaffirming the primacy of the human educator. Employing a descriptive-philosophical literature design, the study used purposive selection of authoritative works by Ashʿarī, al-Zarnūjī, al-Ghazālī, Ibn Khaldūn, and al-Ḥaddād, which were dialectically synthesized with 21 articles from reputable international journals published between 2021 and 2026 and verified through Scimago Journal Rank. The findings indicate that, ontologically, machines function only as pedagogical tools because they lack spirit and nafs, and therefore cannot form learners who require spiritual exemplarity (uswah). The study’s main theoretical contribution is the formulation of the Adab-Based Hybrid Authority (ABHA) model as a framework for integrating technology on the basis of moral-spiritual authority. The study concludes that within the digital educational ecosystem, machines should be repositioned as supporting instruments, while humans must remain the muʿaddib. This conclusion reinforces a human-centric paradigm in the philosophy of Islamic education and highlights the practical need to redefine the teacher’s role as a moral filter. The study therefore recommends redesigning teacher education curricula on the basis of digital ethics and identifies future research opportunities concerning the long-term psycho-spiritual impact of AI interaction in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini secara spesifik bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh Tingkat Pendidikan orang tua terhadap prestasi belajar siswa di MINU 37 Hidayatul Ulum Candi. penelitian ini termasuk penelitian asosiatif atau hubungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan yang menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik statistik regresi linier sederhana, Pengambilan Sample menggunakan Random Samplimg. Sampel yang diambil yaitu siswa kelas 1-6 dengan 30 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan satu variabel Independen Tingkat Pendidikan Orang Tua ( X ) dan Satu Variabel Dependen Yaitu Prestasi Belajar Siswa ( Y ). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data premer dengan 30 respoden dan data skunder berupa nilai rata-rata rapot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh hasil yakni terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara antara tingkat pendidikan orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa dengan hasil nilai signifikansi < 0,05 ( 0,008 < 0,05) dan nilai pearso correlation > r tabel ( 0,474 > 0,374). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.

Abstract

Abstract.  Aleurites moluccana Willd, known candlenut plant, has the potential to be used for vegetable oil, pharmacological purposes, and biofuel. However, there is a lack of knowledge on the optimal extraction conditions for this extraction. The current study aimed to use response surface methodology (RSM) to optimize the Microwave Hydrodiffusion Gravity (MHG) conditions for extraction yield. A three-factor-three-level Box-Behnken design (BBD) was used to investigate the effects of three independent parameters: material size (A), microwave power (B), and extraction time (C). The experimental data for the candlenut seed extraction were analyzed to obtain quadratic polynomial equations. The effects of various parameters on the yield of extraction yield were then examined and analyzed using plots and contours.The results showing extraction yield significantly influenced all independent parameters were p < 0.0001.  Further, The study predicted the optimum conditions for extracting candlenut seeds, which included using material size in 1.378 cm, microwave power of 599.359 W, and extraction time 66.076 min, resulted yield of 5.015%. Based on experimental data conditions, the highest extraction yield was 5.5% of 1 cm, 600 W, and 60 min, respectively, which were in good agreement with the predicted model. The study concluded that the optimized MHG method could be useful in industrial extraction processes and the use of statistical method can optimize the extraction process and reduce the number of experiments required.Keywords:Candlenut, RSM, MHG, yield
