Abstract

A refrigeration trainer is a working model of an existing system intended to support student learning in the characterization of refrigeration systems, especially their temperature profile. There are many ways to monitor temperature in refrigeration trainers, such as by implementing a temperature monitoring and control system based on Raspberry Pi 3 B +. This project uses the DS18B20 sensor and Raspberry Pi 3 B+ microprocessor. This system has various features such as temperature monitoring, on/off control for fans and compressors, online and offline data storage, and remote control. After 4 hours of testing, the prototype looked stable without any sudden increase or decrease in temperature values for all measurement point parameters. In addition, the error percentage value which is less than 10% shows that the DS18B20 temperature sensor used provides the best accuracy value and is considered adequate for this prototype.

Abstract

The existence of rimpu in the Bima area has become a tradition, perception, and expression that indicates the awareness of women in cultivating local clothing without leaving the substance of Islamic teachings and carrying out their religious teachings. This research aims to examine the culture and existence of Bima women from a gender perspective. This research uses qualitative research with a literature study. The results show that the existence of rimpu for women is a means of expressing freedom for women by paying attention to theological and sociological values. Rimpu, which in the modern era has begun to erode and is in a dilemma with contemporary women’s styles, is less concerned about the cultural identity of their area. Therefore, rimpu is an encounter of Islamic teachings with local culture, requiring the involvement of all parties in preserving and caring for it as a local cultural identity

Abstract

The textile and textile products industry is one of the mainstay commodities of the manufacturing industry as well as a driving force for national economic development. Like any production process, the textile manufacturing process also produces waste or residual substances called textile waste. Likewise the impact of the activities of garment, tailor, fashion, apparel and convection, one of which is patchwork waste. If the patchwork waste is not handled properly, it will result in waste generation which will have an impact on pollution in the environment. Lack of tools that can treat textile waste, resulting in less optimal handling of textile waste. This research is trying to make a design of a cloth chopping machine that is used to crush the remains of large rags into small pieces of cloth. Thus the packaging of fabric waste is easier and more efficient, besides that it can also be used as raw material for other products so that it can reduce fabric waste that pollutes the environment. In developing the model and design of a textile waste chopping machine, this chopping machine will cut the patchwork which can be sized according to your wishes. It is hoped that the results of this research will contribute to the development, advancement and appropriate technology. The design of this textile fabric waste chopper will provide a practical solution and zero waste process in a textile and garment industry.

Abstract

Development of a Telenursing-Based Self-Assessment Questionnaire for Diabetic Foot Ulcer Risk. Early identification of the risk of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU) is crucial in preventing ulcers. Caring for diabetic patients, including early detection of the risk of DFU with telenursing, will improve accessibility to health facilities and also help the work of nurses. Currently, there are many instruments or tools to detect the risk of DFU, but instruments that apply telenursing and can be used independently and easily by patients are still limited. This study aimed to develop a digital self-assessment questionnaire for DFU risk in type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) patients and conduct validity and reliability tests. This study was carried out in three stages. The first stage was the planning stage by conducting a literature study; the second stage was the construction by determining the questionnaire items and testing the content validity index (CVI) by six experts; and the final stage was the validation stage by conducting a psychometric test in the form of a construct validity test with factor validity and internal consistency reliability with Cronbach-alpha on 40 respondents who had type 2 DM. The CVI score by the expert was 0.93, making it included in the very high validity category. The validity and reliability test results for the DM patients obtained a Cronbach alpha score of 0.83 and a validity of 0.43˗0.68. Two items were deleted due to invalid results. Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to optimize the heat treatment process of S55C medium-carbon steel by examining the combined effects of austenitizing temperature, quenching media, and tempering temperature on impact toughness. Methodology: An experimental approach was employed using quenching and tempering treatments. Quenching was performed at three austenitizing temperatures (950°C, 1000°C, and 1050°C) with three different cooling media—salt water, oil, and seawater—followed by tempering at 100°C, 200°C, 300°C, and 400°C. All heating processes were conducted in an electric furnace. Parameter optimization was carried out using the Taguchi method with an L9 orthogonal array. Mechanical performance was evaluated through Charpy impact testing, and confirmation experiments were conducted to validate the optimal parameter combination. Main Findings: The Taguchi analysis identified the optimal quenching condition at an austenitizing temperature of 1050°C with salt water as the cooling medium, yielding the highest impact toughness. Confirmation tests supported the reliability of this result. Additionally, the tempering process showed that increasing the tempering temperature decreased hardness while significantly improving toughness, indicating effective stress relief and improved ductility in the steel microstructure. Novelty/Originality of this study: The novelty of this study lies in the integrated optimization of quenching temperature and diverse cooling media, including seawater, using the Taguchi method, with a specific focus on toughness rather than hardness alone. This research provides new insights into tailoring heat treatment parameters for S55C steel to achieve superior impact resistance, offering practical guidance for more efficient and application-oriented heat treatment strategies in manufacturing industries.

Abstract

Mount Merapi National Park (MMNP) is a natural con-servation area with the main function of preserving the diversity of plants, animals and their ecosystems. In 2010, Mount Merapi suffered a large eruption which caused damage to the forest ecosystem inside. One of the locations that suffered severe damage was at Cangkrin-gan Resort. After the eruption, the affected vegetation began to grow again. The purpose of this study is to monitor and determine the di-versity of secondary forest plants in the MMNP area. The method used was a method of path and use a point-intercept transect as the sam-pling unit. The results showed that after the eruption, the Acacia de-curens dominated at each level starting from sapling, poles and trees. Based on the results of the study showed that the eruption of Mount Merapi that occurred in 2010 resulted in a change in vegetation struc-ture in the area with the Shannon-Weiner diversity index which is still low, amounting to 1.86 for seedling, 1.32 for the sapling and 0.22 for poles. At the tree level 100% is still dominated by Acacia decurens.

Abstract

Narcotics crime is one of the special crimes which is also specifically regulated through Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, in other words it is regulated outside the Criminal Code. In deciding a narcotics crime, the judge will consider certain matters in accordance with the relevant law and make a decision in accordance with his belief in upholding a just law. The type of research used is normative legal research. The most relevant approach is the case approach by examining cases of court decisions that also have permanent legal force (inkraht). The sources of legal materials are primary legal materials and secondary legal materials using library research collection techniques, as well as analytical techniques in this legal research which are deductive in nature using the syllogistic method. The results of the study show that the judge's consideration in imposing a sentence below the special minimum can use several benchmarks such as looking at the age of the defendant who is underage or elderly, the involvement of the defendant in a narcotics crime, the weight of narcotics evidence obtained from the defendant, and the possibility of the defendant repeating the crime. The legal consequence of imposing sanctions below the specific minimum on the application of the binding persuasive of precedent principle is related to aspects of justice, namely that it will open up the possibility of causing criminal disparities which in the end the convict will feel injustice and become a victim of discrimination in law enforcement.

Abstract

The fish smoking industry in Wonosari Village, Demak Regency, produces around 20-25 tons daily, relying on traditional methods that often result in inconsistent quality and compromised hygiene. This study seeks to boost efficiency and product quality by introducing semi-automatic smoking technology powered by technopreneurship principles. The technology integrates conveyor systems and rapid cooling to streamline the smoking process. Using an experimental approach with a technopreneurship twist, the research team collected data through observations, interviews, and prototype testing at Sentra Asap Indah. The testing focused on temperature control, smoking duration, and product quality analysis, including texture, aroma, and food safety. The prototype demonstrated significant efficiency gains, cutting smoking time by 30% and standardizing the process. The rapid cooling system successfully brought the fish temperature down from 80°C to 30°C within 30 minutes, a crucial step in preventing bacterial growth and preserving texture. The overall quality of the smoked fish, in terms of color, taste, and aroma, showed consistent improvement. By integrating conveyor systems for process standardization and rapid cooling for enhanced food safety, this technopreneurship initiative has the potential to increase the competitiveness of local smoked fish products and drive business sustainability.
