Abstract

Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Pelabuhan Perikanan Samudera Nizam Zachman Jakarta mengolah air limbah industri yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan industri pengolahan ikan. Seiring berjalannya waktu, perkembangan industri pengolahan ikan semakin meningkat sehingga menambah beban pencemaran air limbah. Kemampuan Instalasi Pengolahan Limbah UPT PPS Nizam Zachman Jakarta menunjukkan nilai efisiensi penurunan beban pencemaran organik, yaitu X>80%.  Nilai efisiensi penurunan beban pencemaran tersebut membuat parameter BOD, COD, TSS, Minyak dan Lemak tidak melebihi nilai baku mutu sehingga efisiensi penurunan beban pencemaran air limbah dinyatakan efektif, namun nilai efisiensi penurunan parameter amonia >80% masih melebihi nilai baku mutu, sehingga kinerja pengolahan air limbah dinyatakan tidak efektif dalam mengolah beban amonia pada air limbah. Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) of Nizam Zachman Jakarta Fishing Port treats industrial wastewater produce from fish processing industry activities. Abstract

Seagrass ecosystems are limited by several environmental factors, namely temperature, light, salinity, depth, primary substrate, nutrients and movement of seawater (waves, currents, tides). The type of substrate can cause differences in the composition of seagrass species and affect differences in the fertility and growth of each kind of seagrass. Seagrasses are suitable for living on muddy, sandy, loam, or substrates with coral fragments and rock crevices. This study aims to determine the ecological index of seagrass in Prawean Beach, Jepara. The research was conducted using an exploratory descriptive method. The study was carried out in November 2021. The materials used in this study were sediment and seagrass samples. The research was carried out in November 2021. Identification of seagrass species using the LIPI method and grain size analysis of sediments using the granulometric method. PCA analysis aims to determine the variables of ecological factors that affect the ecological index of seagrass. PCA analysis will show necessary information regarding the relationship between variables in one graph. The results obtained four seagrass types: Thalassia hemprichii, Enhalus acoroides, Cymodocea serrulata and Cymodocea rotundata. The species density value is classified as relatively dense and the species cover value is classified as less rich/unhealthy with the type of sediment in the form of fine sand. PCA analysis resulted in 3 main factors formed, namely: F1) Enhalus acoroides cover, gravel, silt, temperature, pH and current; F2) Sand and salinity; and F3) Density and cover of Cymodocea rotundata.

Abstract

Injectable platelet-rich fibrin (i-PRF) refers to second-generation platelet concentrate. In this study, the results of i-PRF centrifugation were fractionated into three layers: yellow i-PRF, buffy coat, and red i-PRF. Injectable platelet-rich fibrin fractions used in this study were yellow i-PRF, red i-PRF, and a mix of both. This study aimed to examine the level of growth factor release of transforming growth factor beta 1 (TGF-β1) and platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) in yellow i-PRF, red i-PRF, and a mix of yellow i-PRF and red i-PRF with the ratio of 1:1. A total of 10 ml of peripheral blood from healthy female donors was centrifuged (at 700 rpm in 3 minutes) to obtain i-PRF and fractionated into three layers. The upper yellow layer was taken as yellow i-PRF, while the bottom red layer was taken as red i-PRF and was taken together with the middle layer (buffy coat). The release of TGF-β1 and PDGF in each of i-PRF fractionation method, i.e. yellow i-PRF, red i-PRF, and a mix of yellow i-PRF and red i-PRF with a ratio of 1:1 was measured with ELISA. The measurement was observed for 24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 10 days, and 14 days. Data analysis used the two-way ANOVA test with a significance level of 0.05 and a post hoc LSD analysis to establish group significance. The group of yellow + red i-PRF significantly released PDGF-AB (p < 0.05). TGF-β1 was the highest of all groups on day 14. All groups showed an increase in growth factor release from time to time. The fractionation method of injectable platelet-rich fibrin affected the release of growth factor of PDGF-AB and TGF-β1. The highest release of PDGF-AB and TGF-β1 was found in the yellow + red i-PRF group with a ratio of 1:1 in the 14-day group, which was significant with the other two groups (p < 0.05).
