Abstract

Precision agriculture is an innovative approach that integrates digital technology to improve the efficiency and productivity of the agricultural sector. This study aims to develop a precision agriculture ecosystem through the implementation of a Smart Agriculture Greenhouse based on the Internet of Things (IoT) as a learning factory model for fostering farmer independence in Ngajum Village. The methods used include a qualitative-descriptive approach with field studies, observations, and in-depth interviews with farmers, assistants, and local stakeholders. The results of the development show that the use of IoT technology in smart greenhouses allows real-time monitoring and control of the agricultural environment, thereby increasing the accuracy of decision-making in cultivation. In addition, the learning factory concept can be a contextual learning medium for farmers to master modern agricultural skills practically. This program also encourages the transformation of farmers' mindsets from conventional practices to data-based and technology-based practices. The ecosystem that is formed acts as a center for education, production, and sustainable agricultural innovation at the village level. These findings show that collaboration between technology, education, and community empowerment can create an adaptive and replicable smart agriculture model to support local food independence. The development of an ecosystem like this has the potential to be a reference in agricultural transformation in other rural areas

Abstract

Organic farming has developed into a strategic solution to address food security issues, environmental degradation, and increasing public demand for healthy food products. The role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) as drivers of the village economy is vital to building an innovative and sustainable agroindustry model. This study examines the transformation process of BUMDes in Wonokerso Village, located in Pakisaji District, Malang Regency, towards the development of an organic farming-based agroindustry ecosystem that utilizes the integration of Smart Greenhouse and Tower Hydroponics System (THS) technology. The results of the study indicate that the use of Smart Greenhouse and THS allows for more efficient utilization of narrower land. It also shows that organic farming results become more productive without relying on chemical pesticides. In addition, this technology helps more environmentally friendly farming practices and provides BUMDes with new opportunities for downstreaming agricultural products as part of local agroindustry development. In addition to technical aspects, this change is supported by an institutional approach. Here, BUMDes functions as an education facilitator and business incubator for organic farmers. This study suggests increasing the managerial capacity of BUMDes and village regulatory support to accelerate the sustainable transformation of green technology-based agroindustry. This occurs despite several challenges, such as limited technological literacy and access to capital

Digital applications offer opportunities to support information management and hypertension control at the community level.Aim: This program aimed to empower community health cadres in information management and hypertension control through the use of a digital application. Methods: The community service program involved 16 cadres and were conducted through health education (lectures and discussions) and hands-on training on digital application use. Knowledge was measured using a 10-item multiple-choice questionnaire (maximum score 100). Skills were assessed using an observation checklist. The intervention lasted one month. Results: The average knowledge score increased from 70 (pre-test) to 93 (post-test), representing a mean increase of 23 points. Cadres also demonstrated improved skills in operating the digital application. Conclusion: Cadre empowerment through education and digital application training successfully improved their knowledge and skills in hypertension information management and control. This program supports the strengthening of community-based hypertension prevention efforts.

Abstract

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus which is classified as an Arthropod-Borne Virus, genus Flavivirus, and family Flaviviridae. DHF is transmitted through mosquito bites from the genus Aedes, especially Aedes aegypti which can attack all age groups. According to data from the World Health Organization, an estimated 500,000 DHF patients require home care each year and most of the sufferers are children, in Indonesia there are 129,435 cases. This study aims to determine the Description of Nursing Care for Hypovolemia Management in Children with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever with Hypovolemia. Methods: This case study uses a qualitative descriptive research design using a death process approach, providing a systematic, actual and accurate description of Nursing Care for Hypovolemia Management in Children with Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever with Hypovolemia. Results: there was an increase in fluid status with SLKI at level 3 (moderate) in both patients Conclusion: increase in fluid status with SLKI at level 3 (moderate).

Abstract

Lower back pain is one of the most common complaints experienced by pregnant women in their third trimester. Pain can occur due to biomechanical and hormonal changes during pregnancy. Pain can disrupt comfort, mobility, and quality of life for pregnant women. Studies examining the effectiveness of kinesio taping to reduce back pain in pregnant women are still limited. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of kinesio taping in reducing the intensity of lower back pain in pregnant women in their third trimester. The research design used was a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The study sample consisted of 46 pregnant women in their third trimester with complaints of lower back pain. The sample was obtained using consecutive sampling technique. The intervention consisted of installing kinesio taping on the mothers' lower backs for 7 days. Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before the intervention, on day 3, and day 7 after kinesio taping installation. Statistical analysis used the Friedman test to determine the difference in average pain scores between measurement times. The average pain scale before the intervention was 6.17. After the 3rd day, it decreased to 4.80, and on the 7th day it was 3.35, with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). The results showed a significant difference in the reduction of back pain based on the duration of kinesio tapping. Kinesio taping has been proven effective in reducing the intensity of lower back pain in pregnant women in the third trimester over time. Kinesio taping can be a safe and practical non-pharmacological therapy option to support maternal comfort during pregnancy. Keywords: kinesio taping; low back pain; third trimester of pregnancy.

Abstract

Background: The rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), particularly hypertension and diabetes mellitus, poses a significant public health challenge in Bengkulu City, especially in Lempuing and Nusa Indah subdistricts. Community empowerment is a strategic approach to strengthen promotive and preventive health efforts. The utilization of Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) was introduced as an innovative, culturally appropriate, and practical method aligned with Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat (GERMAS).Aims: This program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of community health volunteers in preventing and managing NCDs, establish TOGA demonstration gardens managed by volunteers, and develop a replicable community empowerment model. Methods: A participatory approach was applied through cross-sectoral coordination with primary health centers and local government. Educational modules and media were developed, followed by training sessions for community health volunteers using lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice. Continuous mentoring supported the management of TOGA gardens. Program evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test to assess changes in volunteers’ knowledge and observations to monitor implementation. Results: The program was successfully implemented. Educational modules were developed, and training activities led to an average increase of 30% in volunteers’ knowledge scores. Two TOGA demonstration gardens were established and actively managed by volunteers. Educational media were utilized during Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (posyandu) services by community health centers and Pemberdayaan Kesehatan Keluarga (PKK) activities at Lempuing and Nusa Indah subdistricts. Conclusion: The program effectively improved the capacity of community health volunteers and promoted community participation in family-based NCD prevention and management. The TOGA-based empowerment model demonstrates strong potential for replication as a promotive and preventive strategy for NCD control.
