Abstract

Abstract The Motivating Language Theory (MLT) offers a robust framework for analysing how strategic verbal communication can motivate individuals and enhance organisational performance. This study answers the research questions of identifying the profile and characteristics of the MLT research literature, examining the theories and variables used in MLT studies in organisational communication, and mapping existing research to highlight gaps and suggest future research directions. Using a systematic literature review guided by the PRISMA protocol, 77 articles from the Scopus database were analysed with Microsoft Excel and VOS viewer. Findings reveal a growing interest in MLT, particularly in the private sector, with most studies employing quantitative methods. The review highlights diverse theoretical integrations, identifies research gaps, and recommends future studies in cross-cultural contexts, high-pressure industries, and remote or hybrid work settings to advance both theoretical and practical insights in organisational communication.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the varied public responses to the urban public transportation regulation policy, which indicate challenges in government public communication. This condition requires an effective communication strategy so that policy information can be properly understood and accepted by the public. This study aims to identify the forms of public communication and to analyze the communication strategies employed by the Bogor City Diskominfo in supporting the campaign for urban public transportation regulation. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through interviews, observation, and literature review. The findings show that public communication is carried out through the use of digital media, particularly Instagram, as the main channel for disseminating information. The communication is delivered through visual content such as infographics and videos designed to be easily understood and engaging for the audience. The communication strategy is structured systematically through stages of situation analysis, target audience identification, message formulation, media selection, and evaluation. Message delivery is designed to be concise, clear, and focused on the benefits for the public. Video-based content is found to be more effective than infographics in enhancing audience understanding and engagement. Public responses to the campaign remain varied and indicate challenges related to message clarity and information consistency. These findings suggest that well-planned and adaptive public communication is necessary to improve the effectiveness of policy dissemination and to encourage public participation.

Abstract

The development of social media encourages government institutions to utilize it as a public education tool, particularly in disaster contexts prone to misinformation. This study aims to analyze the use of Instagram @infobmkg as a medium for tropical cyclone education and its communication effects. This research employs a qualitative case study approach using interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that social media management based on context, communication, collaboration, and connection has been implemented optimally. Furthermore, the educational content generates cognitive, affective, and behavioral effects, including increased understanding, emotional reassurance, and behavioral changes in filtering and sharing information. It is concluded that Instagram @infobmkg is effective as an educational medium to anticipate disaster-related misinformation.

Abstract

This study examines the CSR pendampingan and digital marketing activities carried out in the Strapping Waste Management program of PT IKPP Perawang. The primary issue identified is the public's perception of the industry's limits and the limitations of digital marketing capabilities in the workplace. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the effectiveness of the digital marketing activities carried out by CSR PT IKPP Perawang and to analyze the effectiveness of the digital marketing activities based on the kerajinan from limbah strapping. The primary issue that has been identified is the public's perception of the industry's limits and the limitations of digital marketing skills among pengrajin women. The purpose of this study is to illustrate the pendampingan communication strategy implemented by CSR PT IKPP Perawang and to analyze the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies based on limbah strapping products. The methodology used in this study is deskriptif kualitatif; data is obtained through direct observation, interviews with primary and secondary sources of information, and literary analysis.

Abstract

AbstractThe development of digital technology encourages public broadcasting institutions like TVRI to adapt by presenting social media content that is informative and engaging. This study analyzes the application of visual storytelling in TVRI Nasional's graphic design, identifies production challenges, and formulates design development strategies to enhance the effectiveness of public information. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, data were obtained through active participation, observation, interviews, and literature studies, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results show that visual storytelling is applied through representational, interactive, and compositional meanings, reflected in educational themes, relevant illustrations, institutional colors, and clear visual compositions. The production process, which includes pre-production to post-production, requires close coordination, while tight deadlines and revisions remain the main challenges. The research concludes that visual storytelling enhances message clarity and strengthens TVRI's image as a public broadcaster. Recommendations include improving team coordination, exploring dynamic visual formats, expanding access to content performance data, and diversifying design templates.Keywords: Audience Engagement, Digital Media, Public Broadcasting, Visual Communication            AbstraksiPerkembangan teknologi digital mendorong lembaga penyiaran publik seperti TVRI untuk beradaptasi melalui penyajian konten media sosial yang informatif dan menarik. Penelitian ini menganalisis penerapan visual storytelling dalam desain grafis TVRI Nasional, mengidentifikasi tantangan produksi, serta merumuskan strategi pengembangan desain untuk meningkatkan efektivitas informasi publik. Melalui pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, data diperoleh melalui partisipasi aktif, observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur, lalu dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa visual storytelling diterapkan melalui makna representasional, interaktif, dan komposisional, tercermin dalam tema edukatif, ilustrasi relevan, warna institusional, dan komposisi visual yang jelas. Proses produksi yang meliputi pra-produksi hingga pasca-produksi membutuhkan koordinasi erat, sementara tenggat ketat dan revisi menjadi tantangan utama. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa visual storytelling meningkatkan kejelasan pesan dan memperkuat citra TVRI sebagai penyiar publik. Rekomendasi mencakup peningkatan koordinasi tim, eksplorasi format visual dinamis, perluasan akses data performa konten, dan diversifikasi template desain.Kata Kunci: Keterlibatan Audiens, Komunikasi Visual, Media Digital, Penyiaran Publik

Abstract

Generasi Z di Provinsi Banten memegang peran strategis sebagai kelompok demografi dominan, namun dihadapkan pada tantangan kesadaran elektoral, kerentanan terhadap politik transaksional, dan stagnasi partisipasi di tengah bayang-bayang politik dinasti . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik individu, agen sosialisasi politik, patronase, dan penggunaan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) terhadap literasi politik serta keputusan pemilihan kepala daerah. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif. Survei dilakukan terhadap 400 responden pemilih pemula berusia 17–24 tahun yang tersebar secara proporsional di delapan kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Banten, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model ini memiliki relevansi tinggi dengan nilai R-Square 0.755 untuk Literasi Politik dan 0.652 untuk Keputusan Pemilihan. Adanya dualisme perilaku pemilih Terpaan TIK berpengaruh paling dominan dalam meningkatkan Literasi Politik, namun Keputusan Pemilihan Politik secara langsung justru paling kuat dipengaruhi oleh Patronase . Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa meskipun pemilih muda Banten melek informasi digital, keputusan akhir mereka di bilik suara masih sangat pragmatis dan dipengaruhi oleh hubungan patronase.

Abstract

Waste management in South Tangerang City faces serious pressure due to limited landfill capacity and low community participation in waste sorting. The waste bank program implemented by the Environmental Agency in partnership with the PERBAS Waste Bank in Kedaung Village is one strategy to reduce waste going to the landfill while empowering the community. This study aims to analyze how leadership communication practices at the institutional and community levels shift residents from passive recipients of socialization to active participants in waste management. A qualitative approach with case studies was used through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document review. Data were analyzed using the stages of reduction, display, and conclusion. The results show that leadership communication combines the framing of the landfill crisis, narratives of economic and environmental benefits, role models, intensive interpersonal communication, and the innovation of thematic savings schemes close to household needs. These practices form a transformation stage from informative socialization, participatory socialization, collective participation, to co-creation and social entrepreneurship. These findings confirm that the success and sustainability of waste bank programs are determined not only by technical and regulatory aspects, but also by the design of dialogic, adaptive, and multi-layered leadership communication between institutional and community leaders.

Abstract

Abstract Starting from the circular of the Dirjen Dikti Number: 152/E/T/2012 concerning the publication of student scientific work, the Indonesian government encourages students to play an active role in conducting research publications. The quantity of scientific publications carried out by students must also be followed by good quality. In the world of education, the quality of scientific publications can be seen from the categories of research outputs and how the factors affect the field of research. Campus facilities are said to be one of the important factors in supporting the quality of student research publications. Because not only physically, non-physical facilities are considered very important to improve student competence and capabilities, for example in the form of training. Dynamic system analysis is a research methodology that can capture the condition of a quality management system. In this study the dynamic system was used to look at the quality of research publications conducted by postgraduate students, to see how facilities could affect the quality of student research publications.

Abstract

Child sexual abuse remains a serious social issue in Indonesia, yet its communicative dimension is still rarely discussed in communication studies. This study examines how child survivors negotiate disclosure processes within urban family contexts using Communication Privacy Management Theory. A qualitative case study approach was employed involving survivors, family members, psychologists, social workers, and institutional actors in Bekasi City, Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, focus group discussions, and document analysis. The findings reveal that disclosure occurs gradually through selective communication, trust testing, and partial openness shaped by emotional safety and family relationships. Decisions to disclose or conceal information are strongly influenced by power relations, economic dependency, cultural stigma, and fear of social judgment. The study also identifies information boundary turbulence within family and institutional responses, including information leakage, repeated storytelling, and weakened survivor trust. These findings highlight that child protection requires trauma-informed communication, confidentiality management, and stronger interinstitutional coordination to create safer communication environments for child survivors in urban protection systems.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of employee green behavior and green innovation on green human resource management within a construction company context. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed, using survey data collected from employees and analyzed through partial least squares structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that both employee green behavior and green innovation play important roles in shaping green human resource management practices, with employee driven environmental behavior emerging as the more influential factor. Together, these variables explain nearly half of the variation in green human resource management, highlighting the importance of behavioral and innovation based mechanisms in institutionalizing sustainability practices. The study contributes to the literature by adopting a bottom up perspective, demonstrating that green human resource management may develop in response to employee actions and innovation initiatives rather than solely through managerial directives. This research is limited to a single organizational context, which may restrict generalizability. Future studies are encouraged to incorporate additional organizational factors and broader industry settings to enrich understanding of green human resource management development.
