Abstract

Pesantren are traditional Islamic educational institutions that study, understand, explore, live, and practice the teachings of Islam by emphasizing the importance of religious morals as a guide to daily behavior. With the development of the times, technology and modernity are also developing along various lines, which causes the role of a santri to fade, especially in terms of akhlakul karimah in everyday life. This research seeks to analyze the application of exemplary methods in fostering Santri morals at Pesantren Walisongo in North Lampung, Indonesia. The research is field research. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation to complement research data in problem-solving. data analysis using the inductive thinking method. The population in this study was the caregiver of the Pesantren, the head of the Pesantren, the management, and all students of MA and MTs Plus Walisongo Lampung Utara, while the research sample was taken using the snowball sampling technique. The results of the study found that the application of the exemplary method implemented in the Pesantren Walisongo in North Lampung was effective. This was because it was not only exemplary in worship but consisted of several qudwah (exemplary), namely Qudwah Al-Ibadah, Qudwah Zuhud, Qudwah Tawadhu', Qudwah al Karimah, Qudwah Syaja'ah, Qudwah al Quwad al Jasadiyah, and Qudwah al Hasan al Siyasah

Abstract

Curriculum integration in islamic education refers to involves integrating the concepts and content of religius learning and general learning. This study outlines the integration of salaf Islamic boarding school education with the madrasah curriculum at Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. This type of research is a type of qualitative research and data collection technique used snowball sampling for interviews, accompanied by observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using integrative and interactive techniques. This study found that the Islamic integrated curriculum in Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung was applied by combining the national curriculum with salaf islamic boarding school (pesantren salaf) education. The integration of madrasa and salaf Islamic boarding school curriculum is to open ourselves to the progress of the times where students are equipped with religious knowledge and general science. Implementation of curriculum integration with a social-religious approach by inserting religious moderation values in learning.

Abstract

The integration of digital technology in Arabic language learning offers benefits such as increased student motivation and personalized learning, but faces challenges such as the digital divide, limited infrastructure, and inadequate teacher training, especially in rural areas. Objectives This study analyzes the effectiveness of technology integration, particularly e-learning and mobile applications, in Arabic language learning, as well as identifies the challenges of its implementation. The research used a systematic literature review method by reviewing articles from databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and Google Scholar (2019-2024). The data collected included research methods, technology type, sample size, main results, and conclusions and recommendations.  And the findings of this study are E-learning increases student participation and material access, while mobile applications are effective in increasing motivation and language comprehension. The integration of these technologies not only provides a more affordable and customized learning solution, but also supports the achievement of better learning outcomes, especially for non-native speakers and migrants. Thus, the utilization of e-learning and mobile applications in Arabic language education holds great promise for improving the quality of language acquisition in a broader context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran student facilitator and explaning (SFAE) terhadap kemandirian belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA Kemala Bhayangkari Lampung Utara. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experimental Design. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan angket. Diuji menggunakan SPSS 25 dan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas,uji reliabilitas dan uji T. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan model pembelajaran Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFAE) memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa, khususnya pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menggunakan Independent Samples T-Test, nilai  (Sig.) pada uji Levene sebesar 0,797 menunjukkan bahwa asumsi kesetaraan varians terpenuhi, sehingga analisis menggunakan baris pertama output uji T dinyatakan valid dan hasil nilai t sebesar 2,343 dengan derajat kebebasan (df) sebesar 53 dan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,023, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan rata-rata yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan SFAE efektif dalam meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the strengthening of Islamic moderation through the exemplary role of Kiai, the educational curriculum, and the daily activities of Santri. Through a qualitative approach, the research was conducted on three Pesantren in Bandar Lampung. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis follows the procedure of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Kiai as a role model in strengthening Islamic moderation through various approaches, namely emphasizing Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jamâ'ah and participatory leadership; integrating spiritual practices with social engagement; and focusing on a balanced interpretation of the Qur'an by emphasizing justice, knowledge, and discipline. Assalafi al-'Aafiyah's curriculum prioritizes traditional methodology and respects multiple interpretations; Al-Hikmah combines traditional with modern teachings; and Darul Hidayah emphasizes character development and ethics in addition to memorizing the Qur'an. Santri's daily routines reflect different approaches, with Assalafi al-'Aafiyah focusing on a structured schedule of activities and community service, Al-Hikmah integrating formal education with community rituals, and Darul Hidayah prioritizing ethical development. This research calls on policy makers to increase support for strengthening Islamic moderation in pesantren.

The conclusion of this study shows that the issues in Islamic Religious Education learning at SMA Negeri 1 Kasui, Way Kanan Regency, are quite varied, with various problems identified, such as: lack of motivation, monotonous teaching methods, insufficient facilities for practical classes, and lack of support from family and community environments. The researcher suggests: (1) For students, to always cultivate internal motivation to acquire beneficial knowledge and enthusiasm for learning; (2) For teachers, to provide good teaching by understanding the weaknesses and strengths of students' characters, talents, and interests, and to create a conducive learning environment with varied methods to prevent students from feeling bored or fatigued; (3) For parents, to collaborate with teachers in instilling religious education at home.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship in madrasah educational institutions is a necessity that must be carried out to support quality improvement with independent financing. This research has two main objectives: firstly, how the school principal manages to develop entrepreneurship in his institution, and secondly, how the Madrasah principal organizes the organization and implementation of entrepreneurship. This type of research is quantitative, where the data is obtained through informants. The location of this research is two madrasas in Tulang Bawang Regency. The informants for this research came from both madrasahs, namely the head of the madrasah, the deputy head of the madrasah, the head of administration, and the community around the madrasah. Furthermore, the data used is primary data obtained directly from informants through interviews. Test the validity of the data using data triangulation techniques. Meanwhile, data analysis techniques include the degree of trust, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. The findings of this research show that the suitable abilities and knowledge of madrasah heads in entrepreneurship influence planning for future educational development. This is demonstrated in the creation of academic curricula. In MAN 1 and MAN 2 Tulang Bawang, all subjects must include entrepreneurship. Apart from that, the placement that will be responsible must be based on the area of skill.

Abstract

Character education is an essential aspect of Islam in shaping individuals with noble morals. Hadith, especially those compiled in Arbain an-Nawawi, contains many moral values that can be applied in daily life. This study aims to identify moral values in Arbain an-Nawawi, analyze how to implement them in education, and examine the challenges and solutions in their application. This research uses content analysis to examine the hadiths in Arbain an-Nawawi.The findings reveal that the moral values in these hadiths fall into three main categories: (1) Morals toward Allah, such as sincerity (ikhlas) and trust in God (tawakal); (2) Morals toward others, such as honesty and compassion; and (3) Morals toward oneself, such as self-reflection and anger management. These values can be taught through exemplary behavior, habituation, self-reflection, and storytelling. However, there are several challenges in implementing hadith-based character education, such as a lack of understanding among educators regarding hadith, an education system that prioritizes academics over character development, and the influence of modern culture and technology. To address these challenges, teacher training, the strengthening of character-based curricula, and the use of technology as a learning medium are necessary. This study is expected to provide insights for the educational sector in strengthening students’ character based on Islamic teachings.
