Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the impact of religious moderation course services—namely course materials, learning strategies, and learning environment—on students' moderate behaviour, mediated by their attitudes. The research was conducted at UIN Walisongo with a sample of 215 students who had taken the course "Islam and Religious Moderation." The collected data were analyzed using regression analysis, F-test, t-test, and path analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 23. The findings reveal varying relationships among course materials, learning strategies, learning environment, attitudes, and moderate behaviour. Simultaneously, course materials, learning strategies, and learning environment significantly influence students' moderate attitudes. However, only learning strategies do not significantly affect students' moderate attitudes when examined individually. Furthermore, in different patterns, course materials, learning strategies, learning environment, and moderate attitudes collectively influence students' moderate behaviour, yet only learning strategies individually influence moderate behaviour. Additionally, only course materials and learning environment affect moderate behaviour through students' moderate attitudes. These findings underscore the importance of enhancing course services to foster students' moderate attitudes and behaviours, both directly and indirectly.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has fundamentally transformed the ways knowledge is produced, disseminated, and validated, resulting in significant paradigm shifts across educational, religious, and social domains. This study aims to examine how Islamic scholars construct and negotiate ethical frameworks and knowledge paradigms in response to the digital revolution, particularly in relation to ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions of knowledge. Employing a qualitative approach with Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), this study applies content analysis to examine classical and contemporary Islamic scholarly texts, academic publications, and authoritative digital discourses on technology and ethics. The findings reveal that Islamic scholars perceive the digital revolution as both a challenge and an opportunity: while digitalization disrupts traditional modes of authority and knowledge transmission, it also enables the emergence of more adaptive, inclusive, and context-sensitive models of Islamic scholarship and education. Furthermore, the analysis demonstrates an increasing emphasis on integrating spiritual and moral values with technological innovation to ensure ethical accountability and social benefit. This study implies that the formulation of technology ethics in the digital age requires a holistic integration of Islamic ethical principles with contemporary technological realities, offering a normative framework that promotes human well-being, social responsibility, and the public good.

Abstract

Indragiri Hilir Regency, one of Indonesia’s major coconut-producing regions, faces a structural paradox in which high production volumes have not translated into improved farmer welfare. Dependence on the sale of whole coconuts with low added value, coupled with significant price fluctuations, has led to inefficiencies in the commodity’s economic supply chain. Coconut husk, which has long been neglected and treated as waste, in fact holds substantial economic potential through the development of derivative products. This study aims to analyze the feasibility and formulate effective strategies for developing the coconut husk processing industry in Indragiri Hilir Regency. A qualitative approach was employed using SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) analysis, focusing on the BUMDes Sungai Piyat enterprise group as a case study. The analysis reveals that the coconut husk processing enterprise in Kuala Indragiri District possesses strong and promising internal conditions, with an IFAS score of 2.73 and a strength–weakness differential of 1.91. The main strengths include the abundance of derivative products (coco peat and cocobristle), ease of production processes, and the use of semi-modern technology that enhances efficiency. Meanwhile, the EFAS score of 2.32, with an opportunity–threat differential of 1.48, indicates substantial external support, particularly due to limited competition, sustainable raw material supply, a growing regional economy, and institutional backing. The combination of these scores places the enterprise in Quadrant V (Grow and Build Strategy) of the Internal–External (IE) Matrix, recommending the adoption of an aggressive growth strategy. Key strategic directions include increasing production capacity, expanding market networks, strengthening institutional partnerships, and diversifying value-added products to promote sustainability and enhance contributions to the local economy and the empowerment of coastal communities in Indragiri Hilir.

Abstract

This study seeks to explore the problem of the dichotomy of science and its solution in Islamic Higher Education. which is analyzed in the perspective of education policy regarding higher education regulations by using the content analysis method in the study of library research. The issue of the dichotomy of science is actually a classic issue of the dark legacy of the past colonialism which Indonesia's founding fathers have been fighting for a long time. This real effort is proven by the issuance of a joint decree initiated by the Minister of Religion, KH. Wahid Hasyim and the Minister of Education of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the implementation of religious teaching in state educational institutions which are stipulated through the Regulation of the Minister of Religion No. 3 August 11, 1950. In the study of Islamic education, there is a classification (taqsîm) of knowledge, the first is al-'ulum al-diniyyah (religious sciences) which is called religious science and the second is general science or general sciences. In essence, Islam has never recognized the dichotomy of science (tafriqh), Islam only recognizes classification (taqsîm) based on the sequence and stages of learning, starting from fardlu 'ain and fardlu kifayah. The scholars and figures have formulated solutions starting from the regulatory aspect as stated in the joint regulation of the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Education, several other strengthening regulations through the 2003 National Education System formulation and the Higher Education Regulation, or in the form of ideas and ideas such as the tree of knowledge scheme, integration, integration. -interconnection and Naquib Al-Attas' ideal idea of Islamization.

Arabic is a unique language that has a very rich vocabulary, so it is very relevant that Allah created the Qur'an using Arabic so that the Qur'an has beauty both from the beauty of its lafadz (Muhasinaat al-lafdziyah), and the beauty of its meaning (Muhasinaat al-maknawiyah). Of course, the use of sentences in the Qur'an has a beautiful language style and is adjusted to the actual facts and reality. Al-Qur'an cosmolinguistics is a language study of the Qur'anic explanation of the cosmos from a stylistic point of view to see the beauty of language style both in terms of morphology and syntax.
