Abstract

This paper investigates the pivotal role of school principals in shaping and enhancing Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) among teachers to enhance the quality of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) instruction. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bumi Raya, located in Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, employing descriptive-qualitative methodologies. Data analysis was conducted using the N-Vivo software. The findings of this study underscore the multifaceted role of principals in fostering OCB. Principals emerge as both motivators and supervisors within the educational setting. As motivators, they offer support and encouragement to teachers facing challenges, convene regular meetings to address issues, and deliver motivating messages during ceremonial gatherings. As supervisors, they diligently assess and oversee the performance of their teaching staff, ensuring a high standard of educational delivery. Internally, factors influencing OCB include teachers' personality development and perception of organizational support. Externally, the quality of relationships between superiors and subordinates and the length of service significantly impact OCB outcomes. In summary, this research sheds light on the pivotal role of school principals as motivators and supervisors and identifies key internal and external factors that influence the optimization of OCB among teachers. Understanding these dynamics is crucial for improving the management and quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in educational institutions.

Abstract

Although there have been many studies investigating Islamist movements andtheir views concerning the relationship between Islam and politics, very rarestudies examining the ways particular ethnicity-based Islamist group invent andrevitalize their cultural capital in dealing with Islamism. Based on the case of therole of FPI (the Islamic Defenders Front) group in Jakarta rejecting the resultof Pemilu 2019 (Indonesian General Election), this study aims to investigatethe way a young Batavian community that is engaged in the FPI (a semi radicalIslamist organization) interpret their Batavian values and tradition in dealing with Islamism. This research uses a case study approach that investigates culturalcapital and its influence to a young Batavian community joining the FPI. Thisstudy relies more on in-depth interviews with the members as well as observation.Based on the fieldwork this article shows that tension in national political levelin Pemilu 2019 which polarized society had encouraged these young Batavians tobe engaged in an organization connecting them to wider Islamic groups. Insteadof Muhammadiyah or Nahdatul Ulama (NU), their cultural capital is moresupportive encouraging them to be engaged with the Islamic Defenders Front(FPI). Through this engagement in FPI and participation in political distrustrejecting the result of Pemilu 2019 they were not only involved with nationalissues, but also local issues dealing with their domination as an indigenous groupliving in an urban area.

Abstract

This study aims to (i) analyse more deeply the causes of the motivation of pilgrims to visit the Sepulchre of Sheikh Yusuf and (ii) analyse and explain further the shape and behavior of Pilgrims of the Sepulation of Shah Yusuf in Gowa district. The type of research is descriptive by using qualitative approaches with methods of phenomenological analysis, as well as using primary and secondary data. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion withdrawal and verification. The results of this study show that: (i) Pilgrims may see a visit to the tomb of Sheikh Joseph as an opportunity to purify the soul, improve the quality of life, and spiritual growth. The concept of a baraka or blessing of a sanctuary, as well as love and seeking spiritual enlightenment and obtaining bliss from religious figures. Visiting the Sepulchre of Sheikh Yusuf is also part of the religious identity of individuals and groups. The interaction with the symbols, rituals, and experiences in the tombs reinforces the religious identity of the pilgrims. (ii) The diversity of the forms of pilgrimage performed by pilgrims, as well as reflecting the complexity of relations between religious and cultural values in their religious practice, giving offerings, or following certain ceremonies, as an expression of spiritual need and adherence to religious teachings or social traditions. Emphasis on Peter L. Berger's Theory of Social Construction The ritual of pilgrimage to the tombs of Sheikh Yusuf as a form of externalization, plays a role in preserving and communicating the meaning of religion, as well as building and strengthening the religious identity of individuals and groups.

Abstract

The delivery of monotonous and less varied material, as well as the limited availability of teaching materials that can integrate technology and visualizations in a foreign language, has become an obstacle in improving students' motivation and understanding. Therefore, it is necessary to develop innovative, interactive, and relevant teaching materials that meet the needs of students in the digital era. The use of Google Sites-based media, equipped with images in English, is expected to enrich the learning experience and increase students' interest in understanding Fiqh material. This study aims to develop Fiqh teaching materials based on Google Sites equipped with English-language images, and to examine the feasibility and effectiveness of these materials in the learning process at MTsN 1 Padangsidimpuan. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D development model, which consists of the Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The results of the study indicate that the developed teaching materials received an excellent rating from media experts, material experts, and language experts with an average feasibility percentage of 93.78%. Statistical tests showed a P-value of 0.0000, indicating that the use of Google Sites-based teaching materials had a significant impact on improving students' learning outcomes. Positive student responses also supported this finding, as they felt that the learning process became more interesting, easily accessible, and helped them better understand the material. These teaching materials contribute significantly to providing innovative, effective Fiqh learning media that also support the strengthening of foreign language literacy in the context of madrasah education.

Abstract

Dewasa ini era globalisasi membuat beberapa pergeseran nilai dan budaya dalam kehidupan masyarakat, serta kurangnya pemahaman terhadap Al Quran. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya pembinaan yang dilakukan secara konsisten terhadap generasi muda atau anak-anak. Salah satu solusi demi melawan gempuran era glonalisasi yang semakin mejadi-jadi, maka keberadaan TK/TPA sangatlah membantu sebagai sarana atau wadah anak-anak untuk belajar. Desa Balle yang terletak di kecamatan Kahu ini termasuk desa yang TK/TPA nya dianggap aktif. Keberadaan TK/TPA sangat membantu para orang tua dalam mendidik anak mereka, terlebih lagi desa Balle merupakan desa dengan mayoritas penduduk bermata pencaharian sebagai petani. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan pembinaan Al Quran di daerah pedesaan agar lebih mendekatkan masyarakat dan meningkatkan pemahaman mengenai Al Quran sebagai genjatan pemblajaran Al Quran secara intensif dan mendunia. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan menjelaskan dan menggambarkan secara detail kegiatan pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Hasil dari kegiatan pembinaan Al Quran menunjukkan respons siswa yang sangat baik, mereka aktif bertanya dan antusias mengikuti pemblajaran. Saran dalam kegiatan pembinaan Al Quran adalah perlunya tidakan kerja sama antara tenaga pendidik dan orang tua santri untuk melakukan pendamingan lebih lanjut agar upaya dalam menumbuhkan sikap cinta Al Quran sejak dini terhadap santri bukan hanya di TK/TA tetapi juga di lingkungan keluarga.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of Direct Method on students' pronunciation. The study uses a quantitative, quasi-experimental approach with pre-test, treatment, and post-test data. The sample consisted of 49 grade XII students. Data was collected through oral tests with 25-word items. The result can be seen from the mean score in the pre-test to the post which have enhancement. It can be proved that Direct Method can affect to students’ pronunciation at grade XII in Islamic Senior High School of Mardhatillah.

Abstract

This thesis describes several things related to the influence of the use of learning media on learning outcomes, especially for students at SMA Negeri 10 Wajo.The method used in reviewing the research in this thesis is ex post facto with a quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used in this research are: observation, questionnaires and documentation.Research based on initial observations shows that the use of appropriate learning media can influence student learning outcomes.The results of this research indicate that the use of learning media has a significant positive effect on student learning outcomes. Students who study with audiovisual learning media tend to achieve better learning outcomes compared to those who do not use this media.

Abstract

The research was carried out with the aim of finding out the factors that cause the development of civil servant competencies to not be optimal and strategies that can optimize the competency development of civil servants. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection was obtained through data examination and interviews with sources related to competency and development. The locus of this research is Polda Metro Jaya. The research results show that the implementation of development has not been optimal. This can be seen from the fact that only a few personnel participate in competency development. Apart from that, personnel were found who did not have competence, but held positions. The lack of optimal competency development is divided into supporting factors and inhibiting factors. The suggestion from this research is to develop a strategy that can optimize competency development by maximizing supporting factors and overcoming inhibiting factors in competency development.

Abstract

Penelitian   ini  adalah   penelitian   tindakan   kelas  (classroom  action recearch)  yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar IPS Ekonomi siswa melalui model pembelajaran Discovery Time Token dan mengatasi masalah pada siswa mengenai model pembelajaran dan manfaatnya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII B SMP Negeri 4 Watampone Kabupaten Bone dengan jumlah siswa 23 orang. Siklus I dilaksanakan selama empat kali pertemuan dan siklus II dilaksanakan selama empat kali pertemuan. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan observasi.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 23 siswa kelas menggunakan model pembelajaran  Discovery Time Token, bahwa hasil penelitian pada siklus I menunjukkan nilai rata-rata adalah 73,73 berada pada kategori sedang.  Hasil belajar pada siklus II adalah 80,00 berada pada kategori tinggi. Siklus I skor yang dapat dicapai siswa adalah pada rentang nilai antara 55 – 74 sedang dengan jumlah siswa 11 orang atau 78,26%. Siklus II berada pada rentang nilai antara 75 – 89 kategori tinggi yaitu 12 orang. Kesimpulan bahwa siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan yang berarti, maka selesailah siklus itu karena peningkatannya 6,27%.

Abstract

Bullying telah menjadi tantangan dalam dunia pendidikan karena memberikan dampak negatif, diantaranya adalah berkurangnya kesempatan anak untuk mendapatkan pendidikan yang berkualitas. Asesmen Nasional tahun 2022 menunjukkan 36,31% siswa berpotensi mengalami perundungan. Sebagai upaya memerangi bullying, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan mengeluarkan Permendikbudristek 46/2023 tentang Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan di Lingkungan Satuan Pendidikan, serta penerapan Program Roots sebagai intervensi anti-bullying yang fokus pada upaya menciptakan lingkungan yang aman. iklim di sekolah dengan melibatkan secara aktif peran siswa sebagai agen perubahan. Roots Program telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2021 dan masih akan dilaksanakan pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pelaksanaan Roots Program dengan menggunakan model implementasi Van Meter dan Van Horn, serta strategi pelaksanaan Roots Program di DKI. Jakarta sebagai salah satu provinsi dengan jumlah kasus kekerasan yang tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan Program Roots di DKI Jakarta belum optimal dengan beberapa kendala yang ditemukan pada saat proses pelaksanaannya. Untuk memaksimalkan implementasi Program Roots di DKI Jakarta dapat dilakukan melalui penyesuaian rencana strategis, keterlibatan aktif Satgas dan Unit Pencegahan Kekerasan, sosialisasi fleksibilitas penggunaan dana BOS, penggunaan platform Merdeka Mengajar, mengadakan kelas empati, melibatkan orang tua dalam menumbuhkan budaya anti kekerasan, menginisiasi gerakan berani melaporkan kekerasan, dan membangun suasana kelas yang inklusif.
