Abstract

Oil palm is the largest commodity in several regions in Indonesia. Especially on the islands of Kalimantan and Sumatra. This requires the construction of a palm oil mill (PKS) to produce waste and a very large volume of solid waste and liquid waste. Several alternative solutions that will be considered to deal with this problem are designing a new location, implementing a new location and repairing / structuring an existing location and treating liquid waste and solid waste into appropriate commodities. In choosing this alternative, many criteria must be considered. Therefore, in the selection of alternative palm oil mill effluent using Analysis Network Process (ANP) in decision making.

Abstract

Data mining is a term used to describe the discovery of knowledge in databases. Data mining is a process that uses statistical, mathematical, artificial intelligence, and machine learning techniques to extract and identify useful information and related knowledge from large databases. With data mining, a gem in the form of knowledge will be obtained in a large number of data sets. The Apriori (RF) method is a method that can improve accuracy results, because generating child nodes for each node is done randomly. This method is used to build a decision tree consisting of root nodes, internal nodes, and leaf nodes by taking attributes and data randomly according to the applicable provisions. The root node is the node located at the top, or commonly referred to as the root of the decision tree. The solution for determining chemical stock inventories at the Medan Branch Forensic Laboratory, by applying the Apriori method to determine the correlation coefficient level of frequently used products so that more frequently needed products can be provided to avoid chemical vacancies at the Medan Branch Forensic Laboratory

Abstract

Video files have a large enough capacity, and to access them takes a long time, so a data compression technique is needed. In this case the video file will be compressed using the SPIHT (Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees) algorithm, SPIHT (Set Partitioning In Hierarchical Trees) is a video file compression capable of achieving a high compression ratio. Problems that arise due to the large file size include the wasteful storage media used, as well as more time in terms of data exchange, data transfer over the internet is a big problem in Indonesia because of the very low download and upload speeds. To overcome this problem, data compression techniques are needed. The concept of compression was born as a real solution to problems regarding the space needed to store various digital files, including the MKV (Matroska Video) format video files. The compression technique is a technique that compresses files so that they become smaller in size while maintaining the quality of the representation of the file. Through the compression process of MKV (Matroska video) format video files using the SPIHT (Set Partioning In Hirarcical Tress) algorithm, it is hoped that in the future this compression system will have a major effect on video file storage and can increase storage and it is also hoped that this algorithm can be used for other objects to be compressed.

Abstract

The important determinant factor for the success of a service company in achieving its established objectives is its workforce. The selection process for new and contract employees in the company should be objective in order for them to become permanent employees. However, many companies still lack measures to evaluate the level of objectivity in their selection process. In this study, the author observed that sometimes companies experience difficulty in determining which contract employees should be promoted to permanent employees due to the lack of objectivity in the selection process. Therefore, the author used the Simple Additive Weighting (WASPAS and ROC) method to determine the best employees who can be promoted to permanent employees with criteria such as participation, level of education, competency, workplace, knowledge, teamwork, work quality, English language skills, and others. Based on the research results, the ROC and WASPAS methods are very useful in determining the best employee candidates and solving identified problems, as well as providing better and more optimal results in decision-making. In this study, variant A2 with the highest utility value of 0.982 was chosen as the best contract employee to be employed as a permanent employee.

Abstract

The development of computer technology is now very rapid and familiar, making us have to learn how to use computers to increase our knowledge and skills so that they can help and facilitate our daily activities. LKP IBAY COMPUTER is a Course and Training Institute especially in the field of computer technology. The learning process is guided by experienced instructors who are also experts in their fields. Decision support systems are systems used in making decisions based on existing criteria. To help and facilitate agencies in choosing the best computer instructor, a decision support system is created that is able to provide alternative solutions. In this study the method used is the Profile Matching method. The calculation process in the Profile Matching method is by defining the minimum value for each assessment variable. The difference between each testing data value to the minimum value of each variable is a gap which is then given a weight, the smaller the resulting gap, the greater the weight of the value, so that there is a greater chance for someone to be selected as the best instructor. The Profile Matching method is used to provide an assessment of the best alternative considerations from the various options available. Processing values ??using the profile matching method will produce rankings.

Abstract

Sudirejo-I Village, Medan City within a certain period of time determines the recipients of the Family Hope Program (PKH) assistance to its citizens. Providing cash assistance to the poor who require them to follow the requirements set by the Family Hope Program, namely sending their children to an education, and carrying out regular visits to health facilities for children aged 0 to 6 years, pregnant women and postpartum mothers. However, the provision of PKH social assistance at the Medan City Social Service is still not optimal. Because at the time of selecting the recipients of PKH assistance, there was no supporting system so that at the time of the selection process it was still using estimates and there was no calculation at the time of selecting the recipients of the assistance. So many residents protested because they should be more deserving of PKH assistance. The results of this study aim to create a Decision Support System in the provision of PKH social assistance using the ARAS method, which is one method that supports in helping to determine the eligibility of beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program (PKH), therefore a Decision Support System is needed. With this Decision Support System, it is expected to be able to minimize the occurrence of wrong targets that often arise in the selection process, the results of this study get the highest score obtained by A11 with a total value of 0.8648.

Abstract

The main problems in determining warehouse location include high operational costs, inadequate accessibility and infrastructure, and strict and complex local regulations. In addition, environmental risks and natural disasters, as well as economic fluctuations and market dynamics also add to the challenge of choosing an optimal location. The purpose of this study is to apply the Entropy and ARAS methods in evaluating the potential of optimal warehouse locations, thereby providing clear and structured guidance for decision-makers in choosing the optimal warehouse location to meet the company's operational and strategic needs. The implementation of the entropy and ARAS methods in determining the best warehouse location involves a systematic approach in evaluating several criteria that are important for optimal decision-making. The Entropy method helps in objectively assessing the importance of each criterion by quantifying the uncertainty or variation present in the data. The ARAS method complements this by allowing comparative analysis of alternative warehouse locations based on their performance against ideal criteria, taking into account both quantitative and qualitative aspects. Thus, both methods provide a solid framework for selecting warehouse locations that not only meet logistics requirements efficiently but are also in line with strategic business objectives, ensuring a well-informed decision-making process in supply chain management and logistics. The results of the ranking of the best warehouse location selection using the entropy and ARAS methods show AB Location as the first rank with a value of 0.9781, DD Location as the second place with a value of 0.8362, and IP Location as the third place with a value of 0.8143.
