Abstract

The increasing tension between Indonesia and China in the South China Sea (SCS), particularly around Indonesia’s Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), necessitates an in-depth legal analysis of state responses to foreign violations of sovereign rights. This study aims to identify China’s maneuvers and examine the Indonesian government’s response to these actions in the North Natuna Sea (NNS). This is a normative legal research employing an international legal approach. Data were collected through literature review and analyzed qualitatively using a descriptive-analytical method. The findings indicate that China has conducted systematic and continuous maneuvers in the North Natuna Sea. As a coastal state, Indonesia holds sovereign rights in its EEZ; therefore, in response to any violations by other countries that threaten these rights, the Indonesian government may enforce legal measures and formulate strategic policies to defend and protect the area through diplomacy and maritime defense. Keywords: China Maneuvers; Defense; North Natuna Sea; South China Sea; Sovereign Rights

Abstract

Pricing is not only oriented towards material profit, but also oriented to non-material values, such as cultural aspects. This study aims to reveal the accounting practices of Mandar culture in Majene, West Sulawesi, based on an ethnographic review of the meaning of Uang Panai for local communities and accounting practices in setting the price of Uang Panai. This study uses a qualitative approach with an interpretive paradigm. Data collection was done naturally through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and referring to the literature and previous research results. The data analysis technique uses a modified and simplified Spradley model without reducing and replacing the results of data analysis. The results of the study indicate that the determination of the price of Uang Panai in Mandar Majene is carried out to cover the costs of the wedding party. The process of determining the price of the panai money is carried out in four stages, namely messiq, negotiation, proposal, and mattandajari. The amount of panai can be influenced by the social status of the bride, such as occupation, education, and family power or authority. The price fixing process refers to conventional accounting theory, the concept of price fixers and price takers, and bargaining as in a perfectly competitive market. The results of this study can be used as a reference material for multi-paradigm Accounting learning. In addition, the community gains additional understanding that the amount of panai money depends on the agreement of the prospective bride's family.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy technology, risk technology, and tax understanding on the interest in using e-filing among Individual Taxpayers at KPP Pratama Makassar Utara. The method used is a survey with a questionnaire in the form of a Google form distributed to 135 respondents registered as Taxpayers at KPP Makassar Utara. The analysis results show that technology self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on the interest in using e-filing, meaning that the higher the taxpayer's confidence in their ability to use technology, the greater their interest in using e-filing. Although technology risk shows a positive influence, its impact is not significant, indicating that concerns about data security do not significantly hinder the use of e-filing. Additionally, tax understanding also has a positive and significant effect on the interest in using e-filing, emphasizing the importance of having a good understanding of tax procedures in encouraging the adoption of this technology. These findings provide insights for the Directorate General of Taxes to design educational and training strategies that can enhance taxpayers' interest in using e-filing.
