Abstract

BEM Impact Community Empowerment Activities in Sungai Bangkal Village, Sungai Tabuk District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan were carried out on 9 October–18 December 2025 with a participatory approach from two main partners, namely the Farmers Group and the Posyandu Group, through the integration of clean water ultrafiltration technology, household food security and digital literacy training. Digital literacy training activities were carried out as an effort to empower salted fish processed MSMEs in facing the challenges of low added value, weak financial records and limited market access. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the activity show that selling salted fish can increase the income of the residents of Sungai Bangkal Village. Educate an important understanding regarding the calculation of production costs as a whole so that MSMEs can set rational and profitability-oriented selling prices. Meanwhile, the integration of clean and neat packaging, e-commerce and Google Maps has been proven to increase product competitiveness and expand market reach. These findings confirm that empowering MSMEs based on preparing financial reports and digital marketing makes a real contribution to the economic, social and environmental sustainability of the Sungai Bangkal Village community.

Abstract

Writing is a complex and essential skill in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learning that requires not only linguistic accuracy but also cognitive engagement, interaction, and reflection. This study aims to examine the relationship between constructivist writing instructional practices implemented through Authentic Project-Based Learning (A-PBL) and students’ writing performance outcomes. Employing a quantitative quasi-experimental one-group pre-test–post-test design, the study involved 35 first-semester undergraduate students enrolled in a Writing course at Universitas Islam Syekh Yusuf. Data were collected through writing performance tests assessing contextual, interactive, and reflective writing, as well as a questionnaire measuring students’ engagement in constructivist practices, including brainstorming, collaborative writing, peer feedback, real-world writing tasks, and instructional scaffolding. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA). The findings reveal a statistically significant multivariate relationship between constructivist learning practices and writing performance outcomes, with interactive and reflective writing emerging as the most strongly influenced dimensions. Although contextual writing did not show a direct significant effect, it functioned as a foundational component supporting higher-level writing engagement. The study concludes that constructivist-oriented writing instruction, particularly through A-PBL, effectively promotes interactive and reflective writing development and provides a theoretically grounded approach for enhancing EFL writing performance in higher education contexts.

Abstract

Abstract

This study was motivated by the problem identified in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 2x11 Kayutanam, namely the low level of students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. This issue was attributed to teacher-centered instructional practices and the limited variation in teaching models implemented in the classroom. One proposed solution to address this problem was the application of a cooperative learning model, namely Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). The objective of this study was to determine whether students’ mathematical conceptual understanding taught using the CIRC model was better than that of students taught through conventional instruction in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Kayutanam. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design using the Static Group Comparison Design, in which data were analyzed using inferential statistics to examine differences in mathematical conceptual understanding between the experimental and control groups. The population of this study consisted of all Grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Kayutanam. The sample included Class VIII.1 as the experimental group and Class VIII.3 as the control group. The research instrument used was an essay test designed to measure students’ mathematical conceptual understanding. Based on data analysis using the t-test, it can be concluded that students’ mathematical conceptual understanding taught through the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) model was better than that of students taught through conventional learning in Grade VIII of SMP Negeri 2 2x11 Kayutanam.”

Abstract

This study aims to determine the activity and motivation of students learning mathematics using the Think Pair Square cooperative learning model is better than conventional learning. This type of research is an experiment with a research design namely The Static Group Comparison Design. The population in this study were all students, where there are 10 classes with a total of 318 students. Sampling was done randomly first conducted a normality test and homogeneity test on the population data. The sample in this study was class VIII. I as the experimental class and VIII. J as the control class. The instruments used were a mathematics learning motivation questionnaire and a learning activity observation sheet. The results of the activity observation sheet were analyzed using the percentage of activity, after calculating the activity score, an overall average of 82.3% was obtained with active criteria. Meanwhile, the results of the calculation of the data analysis of the students' mathematics learning motivation questionnaire at the real level using the t-test, obtained t count 2.033400708 and t table 1.998971517 where t count > t table. Meanwhile, using SPSS, sig = 0.034 is obtained, meaning significant <a with a real level, based on these results, accept H1 and reject H0. So, it can be concluded that students' mathematics learning activities and motivation using the Think Pair Square type of cooperative learning model are better than conventional learning.
