Abstract

The number of patients who come to the emergency department makes nurses have to sort patients quickly and precisely according to priority. It requires knowledge and attitude in terms of segregation of patient type and emergency in triage, so that patient care can be more optimal and directed. This study aimed to find out the correlation between nurses’ knowledge and attitudes of triage. The research used a correlation research method with a cross-sectional approach. The study was carried out at the emergency room of Dr. H Kumpulan Pane General Hospital in Tebing Tinggi City, Rantau Prapat General Hospital, and Tuan Rondahaim Simalungun General Hospital from January to August 2020. The samples of this study were 46 nurses in charge at the emergency room of Dr. H Kumpulan Pane General Hospital in Tebing Tinggi City, Rantau Prapat General Hospital, and Tuan Rondahaim Simalungun General Hospital, taken by total sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data analysis used Spearman’s rank correlation at the 95% confidence interval. The results of the descriptive analysis showed that majority of nurses had adequate knowledge of triage (48%) and majority nurses had positive attitude (77%). The results of Spearman’s rank statistical analysis obtained a spearman correlation coefficient of 0.753 with ρ-value 0.000 < 0.05; thus, Ha was accepted. In conclusion, there is a correlation between nurses’ knowledge and attitude of triage at Dr. H Kumpulan Pane General Hospital in Tebing Tinggi City, Rantau Prapat General Hospital, and Tuan Rondahaim Simalungun General Hospital.

Abstract

Domestic wastewater is used water that cannot be used anymore for its original use, either containing human waste (feces) or from kitchen, bathroom and washing activities. The more dense the population in a settlement the more waste must be controlled. One simple way to treat domestic wastewater is to use anaerobic biofilter based on the type of media. The media used were broken stones, plastic sheets, and coconut shell charcoal. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of anaerobic biofilter based on the type of media in domestic wastewater treatment. The parameters measured are BOD, COD and PH. Anaerobic biofilter performance is determined by looking at the difference in levels before and after using the media. This research is a quasi-experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample of this study were 10 samples taken from repetition 3 times in one experiment, the process was done by a batch system. The results showed an average reduction in BOD on plastic sheet media by 84.76%, COD by 84.77%, PH by 32.3%. The average reduction in BOD in the stone medium was 80.57%, COD was 80.59%, PH was 29.66%. The average reduction in BOD in coconut shell charcoal media was 69.72%, COD was 77.84%, PH was24%.

Abstract

Background: One of the local food ingredients that can be utilized as a complementary food is a torbangun leaf. Torbangun leaf is usually consumed in the form of torbangun leaf soup or served as vegetables with main meal. Torbangun is rich in iron, vitamin C, energy, protein, fat that is very beneficial for infant growth and is widely available in the market with cheap price. Torbangun leaves, especially when made into powder, can be processed into a wide range of food products such as biscuit, but needs several intervention trials to search its long shelf life with high energy density. Methods: The purpose of this research is to study the formulation of torbangun leaf biscuit and to analyze the nutrient content in meeting the nutritional requirements of child stunting aged 12-18 months. Organoleptic test was conducted with 5 point hedonic rating test. This study used Anova test to see the mean difference in the assessment of leaf biscuits torbangun. Results: With the addition of 10% (A), 20% (B), and 30% (C) torbangun leaf powder in every 100 gr biscuit, the organoleptic test showed that biscuit with 20% of torbangun flour had the highest organoleptic score on taste, flavor, texture and color. The biscuit contents energy and protein similar to the commercial fortified (PMT) biscuit with high content of iron and calcium. Compared with the PMT biscuits, the torbangun leaf biscuit meets the energy criteria (at least 400 kcal/100gr) but slightly having lower protein (less than 8gr/100gr). However iron content of torbangun biscuit equals the upper range of the PMT biscuit (4-7.5 mf/100gr) and very high calcium content (almost 10 times higher than the PMT biscuit). Consclusions: The selected biscuits with 20% torbangun leaf powder will be used in the following intervention study promoting complementary food recommendation with fortified biscuits.

Abstract

One of the government's ways to overcome the growth rate and birth rate in Indonesia is through the family planning (KB) program. Long-term contraceptive methods are an effective method of delaying and spacing pregnancies, as well as stopping fertility. Therefore, the government is trying to increase the use of long-term contraceptives, but the fact is that the use of non-long-term contraceptives is higher than the use of long-term contraceptives. This study aims to determine and analyze the factors that influence EFA participation in the Long Term Contraceptive Method (MKJP). This type of research uses a cross sectional approach which will be carried out in the Langsa Timur District in 2021. The population in this study is all couples of childbearing age (PUS) who use contraception in the Langsa Timur sub-district, amounting to 2,261 people with a sample size of 96 respondents. . The results showed that the age variable had a value of p=0.009 (p<α); OR is 1.358, parity has a value of p=0.001; OR is 2,910, knowledge has a p value = 0.005; OR is 2.476, attitude has p value = 0.001; OR is 2,286, husband's support has p value = 0.030; OR is 2.452, and the role of health workers has a p value = 0.023; OR is 2,932. These results mean that the variables of age, parity, knowledge, attitude, husband's support, and the role of health workers have a significant influence on MKJP participation because they have a value (p<α). It is recommended to the Langsa City Health Office, especially for East Langsa District, to increase promotion of MKJP contraceptives and cooperate with related parties, such as the Family Planning and Women's Empowerment Agency (BKBPP) of Langsa City and religious leaders and local community leaders to increase MKJP coverage. ..

Abstract

The Community Health Center is a functional organization that organizes health efforts that are comprehensive, integrated, equitable, acceptable and affordable to the community. These health efforts are carried out with an emphasis on shipping by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts to achieve the highest public health status in the working area. To ensure the quality of health services, puskesmas are required to be accredited. In North Nias Regency, one of the UPT Puskesmas must be accredited to improve the quality of services in the community. To carry out this accreditation, puskesmas are required to make preparations before accreditation. The research carried out is a qualitative research with the aim of providing a comprehensive, broad and in-depth picture of the readiness of the Lotu Health Center UPT to Face Lotu Health Center Accreditation. The data were collected by means of in-depth interviews and also by making observations. Furthermore, the data will be analyzed by researchers to make it easier to see the complete data. The results showed that the UPT Puskesmas Lotu was still not ready for accreditation. This is due to the incomplete requirements provided for accreditation such as the unpreparedness of puskesmas accreditation documents due to the Covid-19 pandemic, inadequate infrastructure such as laboratory equipment, dental examination kits. And seen from the human resources owned by the UPT Puskesmas Lotu, there are still a lot of shortcomings such as pharmacy staff, laboratory personnel, physiotherapy, and even general practitioners. Based on the results of the research, it is hoped that the UPT Puskesmas Lotu will immediately prepare for existing deficiencies such as completing accreditation documents, lacking facilities and infrastructure, preparing human resources, and increasing team cooperation so that preparations can be made more optimal. Coordination between the UPT Puskesmas Lotu and the North Nias Regency Health Office should be improved, especially in disbursing the accreditation budget.

Abstract

Lack of nutritious food will cause stunted growth of children and excessive food is also not good because it causes obesity. Adequacy of feeding children is very important because lack of energy/nutrients can interfere with optimal growth, and can also cause nutritional disorders, both curable or not. This study aims to determine the relationship between maternal education, counseling and supplementary feeding on the nutritional status of children under five. This study used a cross-sectional design. The research population was all mothers of children under five who were in the Teluk Karang Health Center in the city of Tebing Tinggi in 2021. The research sample was 56 people obtained by accidental sampling technique. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to mothers of children under five.  The data processing process starts from editing, coding, entry, cleaning and tabulating. Analysis of research data consisted of univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test, multivariate with logistic regression test. The results showed that there was a relationship between maternal education (p=0.010), counseling (p=0.004; PR=2,3;95%CI 1.245-4.588), supplementary feeding (p= <0.001; PR=3.6;95 %CI 1.758-7.417) with the nutritional status of children under five. The results of multivariate analysis showed that the dominant variable related to the nutritional status of toddlers was the provision of additional food (p = <0.001; PR = 7.5; 95%CI 3.768-64.441), meaning that toddlers who did not get additional food had 7.5 times the tendency to experience nutritional status is not normal compared with toddlers who get additional food. Thus, mothers of toddlers should actively visit the puskesmas and often consult with doctors, nurses and nutritionists regarding the foods needed by children under five to obtain normal nutritional status.

Abstract

Continuous improvement of service quality is one of the important keys in facing the era of globalization which implies that services must be carried out according to standards and meet quality rules that are oriented to the interests of consumers. With these programs and facilities, it is hoped that the community will no longer be reluctant to seek treatment at the Puskesmas. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the quality of health services on the satisfaction of inpatients at the Sei Mencirim Health Center. This research is a survey research, conducted at the Sei Mencirim Health Center. The population was all patients who were hospitalized at the Sei Menistrim Health Center in January-July 2021 totaling 74 people and the entire population was taken as a sample. Primary data obtained from interviews and secondary data in the form of inpatient data. The hypothesis was tested using the Multiple Regression test.Based on Bivariate analysis revealed that there was no effect of physical evidence on patient satisfaction. There is an effect of reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy on patient satisfaction. The most dominant variable affecting patient satisfaction is empathy.                Considering that empathy is the dominant variable affecting patient satisfaction, puskesmas need to improve quality individual service and patient family time for consultation is met. Keywords: Service Quality, Patient Satisfaction, Puskesmas Sei Mencirim
