Abstract

This study investigates the role of academic supervision in enhancing the pedagogical competence of teachers at SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research explores the systematic planning, collaborative implementation, and evaluation of academic supervision, as well as its impact on teacher reflection and development. The findings indicate that academic supervision, conducted through class observations, reflective discussions, and constructive feedback, significantly contributes to teachers' pedagogical competence. Teachers' active engagement in reflective practices following supervision helps improve lesson planning, classroom management, and teaching methods. The study also highlights the importance of ongoing professional development through training and workshops as part of the supervision follow-up. Despite its success, the research acknowledges limitations such as time constraints and scheduling conflicts, which occasionally hinder the effectiveness of supervision. This study provides valuable insights for schools seeking to enhance teacher quality through effective academic supervision.

Abstract

This study explores teachers' experiences in implementing visual literacy-based learning media in early elementary writing lessons. The purpose is to examine the impact of these media on student motivation, writing engagement, and learning outcomes. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted in a second-grade classroom, where teachers integrated visual literacy into writing instruction. The findings indicate that visual literacy-based media significantly enhanced students’ motivation and engagement in writing activities. Teachers reported that the media facilitated active participation and improved students’ ability to organize ideas and express thoughts through writing. The study concludes that visual literacy-based learning media is an effective tool for fostering creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills, contributing to a more interactive and engaging writing experience for young learners.

Abstract

Household waste pollution is an environmental issue that continues to escalate and has become a social dilemma at the community level. Based on Article 67 of Law Number 32 of 2009 concerning Environmental Protection and Management, “Every person is obligated to preserve the sustainability of environmental functions and control pollution and/or environmental damage.” Each individual bears responsibility for maintaining environmental sustainability and is prohibited from engaging in actions that may degrade environmental quality. However, empirical conditions show that public awareness regarding domestic waste management remains low. Liquid waste generated from washing, bathing, detergent use, and household chemicals is often discharged directly into water bodies without prior treatment, causing water quality degradation, foul odors, and ecological imbalance. This situation creates a dilemma as society perceives such practices as normal due to limited knowledge, inadequate waste treatment facilities, and weak environmental oversight. There is also a disparity between legal norms such as Article 70 of Law Number 32 of 2009, which states that “the public has equal rights and opportunities to actively participate in environmental protection and management” and social behavior, demonstrating a significant gap in environmental policy implementation. Therefore, strategic efforts are required through environmental education, the provision of household-scale waste treatment systems, strengthened community participation, and sustainable law enforcement.

Abstract

Learning to read in the 4.0 revolution era should be more focused on learning in the use of technology. Hence, the purpose of the research in this article was to analyze the learning process based on methods, analytical techniques, and findings in the terms of applying reading learning technology findings and analyzing the findings of publications on Google Scholar and Scopus. The type of research was literature research using a systematic review, which provided an overview of the publication of articles with the number of found data 56 articles. After conducting the review process, it was obtained that 25 articles matched the criteria. The research results showed that the most publications on the use of technology were in 2014, 2019, and 2021. Related to the place of publication, most publications used Scopus and Sinta 3 as many as 6 articles. The use of research was based on the research methods, which were mostly used on development methods at 48%. Thus, it could be seen from the results of the research that the use of technology in learning to read is able to improve reading skills.

Abstract

Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja (Satpol PP) Kabupaten Tegal bertanggung jawab menjaga ketertiban umum dan memberikan perlindungan kepada masyarakat. Tugas tersebut menuntut pegawai, khususnya non-ASN, memiliki semangat kerja yang tinggi dalam melaksanakan fungsi pengamanan di 18 kecamatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menilai pengaruh lingkungan kerja, disiplin kerja, dan motivasi ekstrinsik terhadap semangat kerja pegawai non-ASN Satpol PP Kabupaten Tegal. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan kuesioner skala Likert sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data primer. Sampel terdiri dari 57 pegawai non-ASN, dan analisis dilakukan melalui uji validitas, reliabilitas, analisis deskriptif, successive interval, uji asumsi klasik, regresi linier berganda, uji hipotesis, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap semangat kerja (sig. 0,010 < 0,05); (2) disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan (0,000 < 0,05); (3) motivasi ekstrinsik juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan (0,010 < 0,05); serta (4) ketiga variabel tersebut secara simultan memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap semangat kerja pegawai (0,000 < 0,05).

Abstract

This paper discusses the effectiveness of creative product learning and entrepreneurship in the light vehicle engineering programme at Class XII of SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara. The method the researchers used was a quantitative descriptive method with a formative evaluation model. The research object was creative product learning and entrepreneurship of class XII. Data collection techniques used tests and observation. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results imply that the presentation for the learning process was 72.5% and students’ learning outcome was 53.85%. Thus, it can be concluded that (1) the creative products and entrepreneurship learning process in the light vehicle engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara is still in the sufficient category, (2) students’ learning outcome of creative products and entrepreneurship in the light vehicle engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara is still in the less category, and (3) the effectiveness of creative product learning and entrepreneurship in the light vehicle engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara is still not effective.

Abstract

As an organization, every school faces external constraints that affect the implementation of its activities, creating a dynamic and complex environment that brings uncertainty and challenges for principals in directing the institution toward its goals. The leadership style of the principal is a crucial factor influencing school success. This study aimed to describe and analyze the leadership style of the principal at SMP Negeri 6 Rambah Samo, Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, as well as the factors influencing it. A qualitative method was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using source, method, and theory triangulation. The results indicated that the principal applied leadership styles including encouraging subordinate initiatives, imposing sanctions, awarding achievements, and conducting work meetings; however, improvements were needed in decision-making, communication, task delegation, and supervision of task implementation.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of community service-based learning in electrical installation techniques for vocational high school students in South Kalimantan. It addresses key challenges in vocational education, including the gap between hard and soft skills, limited practical facilities, insufficient character formation, and weak community participation. Using a qualitative case study with an Accidental Ethnography approach, data were gathered from 89 respondents through observation, interviews, and documentation from 2020 to 2024. The findings reveal that students’ involvement in home electrical installation repairs enhances both their technical competence and customer satisfaction, as indicated by reliability, assurance, attention, responsiveness, and tangible results. Values of social worship, intention, responsibility, and care were effectively internalized, reaching an average achievement of 92%. The program achieved a 100% completion rate and over 96% customer satisfaction. In total, 412 students contributed to 226 service points in 88 households, making community homes serve as contextual learning laboratories that also address limited school facilities. Since 2024, interschool collaboration has expanded the program’s reach and impact. The study concludes that community service-based learning transforms vocational education by producing graduates who are technically skilled, ethically grounded, and socially beneficial, reinforcing emotional, social, and spiritual intelligence.

Abstract

Shallot requires sulfur nutrient to improve color, flavor and reduce shrinkage during it storages as well as to enlarge the shallot bulbs. Alfisols had low available sulfur so biofilmed fertilizer application was expected to increase S-uptake nutrient and yield of shallot production. This research was conducted at the Research Center and Development of Dryland of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta in Jumantono, Karanganyar in June 2014 to March 2015 to study the effect of formula and dosage of biofilmed fertilizer on S-uptake and yield of shallot. The experiment was arranged in factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors, namely three formulas and four dosages of biofilmed fertilizer. The variables observed were available S, S-uptake, growth and yield of shallot. Data was analyzed by F test followed by DMRT at 95% of level confident. The results showed that biofilmed fertilizer formula and dosage affected significantly on S-available and S-uptake at harvest. Biofilmed fertilizer with F1 (consortium of sulfur oxidizing bacteria, solvent fungi K, solvent bacteria P, and fastening bacteria N2) and D2 was 100% equivalent to dosage recommendation of NPK and gave the highest of shallot yield 54,634g or equivalent to 14.53 tons/ ha.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penurunan jumlah koperasi aktif dan pergeseran perilaku konsumen ke arah digital yang mengancam eksistensi KPRI "KOWANDIK". Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis strategi manaje­men jasa yang tepat untuk menghadapi persaingan dengan platform belanja online dan toko konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pende­katan survei. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 50 responden anggota koperasi dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Importance-Performance Analy­sis (IPA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terda­pat kesenjangan (gap) negatif terbesar pada atribut Keleng­kapan Barang (Product) dan Harga Kompetitif (Price), yang mengindikasikan kinerja koperasi belum memenuhi harapan anggota. Sebaliknya, atribut Lokasi Strategis (Place) dinilai berlebihan (possible overkill) karena relevansinya menurun akibat tren belanja digital. Berda­sar­kan temuan tersebut, strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi adopsi sistem kemit­raan (dropship) untuk diversifi­kasi produk, optimalisasi fasilitas kredit potong gaji sebagai keunggulan harga, dan transformasi layanan pesan-antar untuk mengimbangi kenya­manan marketplace.
