Abstract

This study investigated how Vocabulary Mastery (VM) and Metacognitive Reading Strategies (MRS) worked together to shape students’ Critical Reading Ability (CRA) in an EFL setting—a relationship that had rarely been examined in combination. Critical reading was widely acknowledged as essential for academic success, yet many learners still faced difficulties due to limited lexical knowledge and the lack of strategic awareness needed to manage their reading processes. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were obtained from 30 ninth-grade students through a vocabulary test, the MARSI questionnaire, and a critical reading test. All instruments had undergone expert validation, pilot testing, and reliability checks. The descriptive findings showed that students demonstrated moderate levels of vocabulary mastery, metacognitive strategy use, and critical reading skills. Correlation analysis revealed strong positive relationships among the variables, with MRS showing the strongest association with CRA (r = 0.89). Regression results indicated that the overall model significantly predicted critical reading performance (R² = 0.811, p 0.001). While vocabulary mastery contributed to understanding, it did not remain a significant predictor when paired with metacognitive strategies. These findings suggested that strategic self-regulation played a more crucial role in enabling learners to interpret, evaluate, and respond critically to texts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh observasi peneliti yang menemukan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang digunakan kurang bervariasi dan konvensional. Berdasarkan observasi dikelas, diketahui bahwa metode yang sering digunakan adalah ceramah dan diskusi terbimbing. Guru jarang menggunakan media visual seperti peta konsep atau alat bantu lain yang mendukung pemahaman konsep sejarah secara menyeluruh. Partisipasi dan atusiasme siswa, saat pemebelajaran berlangsung sebagian besar siswa cenderung pasif.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi pembelajaran peta konsep (concept mapping) terhadap kemampuan analisis siswa kelas VIII pada pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis quasi experimental design, serta desain one group pretest–posttest design yang dilengkapi dengan kelas kontrol sebagai pembanding. Penelitian dilaksanakan di MTsN 2 Kota Bukittinggi yang berlokasi di Jl. Pabidikan, Puhun Pintu Kabun, Kecamatan Mandiangin Koto Selayan, Kota Bukittinggi, Sumatera Barat, pada bulan Juli hingga September 2025. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII yang terdiri dari kelas VIII-1 sampai VIII-8 dengan jumlah 238 siswa, sedangkan sampel ditentukan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan analisis yang diberikan sebelum (pretest) dan sesudah (posttest) perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan analisis siswa pada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional mengalami penurunan nilai rata-rata dari 59,53 menjadi 51,57. Sebaliknya, kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran peta konsep mengalami peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 62,80 menjadi 64,67. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada kategori kemampuan analisis “sangat baik” di kelas eksperimen, yaitu dari 0 siswa pada pretest menjadi 6 siswa pada posttest. Hasil uji paired samples t-test pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan nilai signifikansi p = 0,041 < 0,05, sehingga ditolak dan diterima, yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Selanjutnya, hasil uji independent samples t-test memperoleh nilai p = 0,048 < 0,05, yang menegaskan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran peta konsep berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan analisis siswa kelas VIII di MTsN 2 Kota Bukittinggi. Penerapan metode peta konsep terbukti lebih efektif dibandingkan metode konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan analisis siswa, sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dalam pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam.

Abstract

Implementing teacher teaching training services for Islamic Religious Education and Islamic School teachers in the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs ranks in 2021 was carried out with a complete online scheme. Implementing in-service teaching training aims to produce professional educators with academic, professional, personal, and social competencies. The difference in participants' conditions, such as different areas, technology tools mastery, and infrastructure availability, became a challenge for LPTK organizers. The article aims to measure the effectiveness of implementing teacher teaching training services in a whole online scheme at LPTK of the State Islamic University of Bukittinggi in 2023. This evaluation research was conducted in LPTK of the State Islamic University of Bukittinggi in 2023. The sample was selected by purposive technique with the number of samples 416 teachers, consisting of 266 Islamic Religious Education teachers and 150 Islamic School teachers. The data was collected by distributing questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the average paedagogic and professional competencies achievement score was 86.90 points, with a high interpretation of achievements. The implementation of teacher teaching training service in an entire online scheme at LPTK of the State Islamic University of Bukittinggi in 2023 has increased effectiveness.

Abstract

The background of writing this thesis is the lack of discipline and responsibility of students in participating in the implementation of this Muhadharah Extracurricular, because some came late when the event even some were not present when the event had started. Therefore the author feels the need to study, how is the Muhadharah extracurricular implementation at MTs. Al-ma'arif Koto Selayan Bukittinggi? The purpose of this study is to find out and obtain data about planning, implementation and evaluation (evaluation) in the implementation of extracurricular activities at MTs. Al-ma'arif Bukittinggi. The type of research that the author uses is descriptive qualitative field research, namely research that done by describing the state of the object at the present time based on the facts that appear as they are. The data sources for this research are school principals, deputy heads of curriculum, deputy heads of student affairs, in particular the supervisors of Muhadharah implementation activities, religious coordinators who participate in managing this Muhadharah Implementation and students who take part in the Muhadharah Extracurricular Implementation at MTs. Al-ma'arif koto selayan. In collecting data, the writer uses observation and interview techniques. While the data processing and analysis techniques that the authors use are data reduction, presenting data, and then verifying and drawing conclusions. Testing the validity of the data by using data triangulation techniques, namely comparing the results of observation data and interview results. Based on the results of the research that the author has done at MTs. Al-ma'arif koto selayan Bukittinggi, it is known that the implementation of this Muhadharah is planned by the Madrasah leadership, namely the school principal, committee and teacher council, then the principal gives authority to one of the teachers as the supervisor of extracurricular implementation Muhadharah, in this planning the teacher does not write down the goals but only verbally, so the Muhadharah Extracurricular Implementation is less effective because of the lack of attention from the coach, and this activity is carried out 1x a week, namely every dawn, Friday until 06-30. The assessment of the Implementation of the Extracurricular Muhadharah is based on the presence of students, activeness, creativity when appearing, from the assessment made by the supervisor it is not fair because the assessment carried out does not write down in detail what form of action the students take. The conclusion from the results of research on the implementation of extracurricular Muhadharah is good but does not meet the theory of good management

Abstract

Skripsi ini ditulis dari fenomena yang dialami oleh pendidik terutama pada peserta didik kelas VII di MTsN 3 Agam.Skripsi ini berkaitan dengan penggunaan LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadist.Berkenaan dengan hal tersebut maka dalam uraian skripsi berangkat dari 2 permasalahan bagaimana penggunaan LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik) dalam pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadist? Apa saja kendala dalam penggunaan LKPD (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik)pada pembelajaran Al-Qur’an Hadist?. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara (interview) dan dokumentasi. Sumber data atau informan kunci yang ada dalam penelitian ini adalah guru Al-Qur’an Hadist sedangkan informan pendukung adalah siswa/siswi kelas VII di MTsN 3 Agam.Pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan LKPD dapat mempemudah dan membantu guru dalam proses pembelajaran karena LKPD dijadikan sebagai alat bantu bagi pendidik dalam pemberian tugas dan juga latihan dirumah. Sedangkan bagi siswa LKPD bisa dijadikan sebagai alat bantu untuk siswa belajar dirumah, jika siswa tersebut bersungguh-sungguh ketika proses pembelajaran serta memperhatikan guru dalam menerangkan. Sesuai dengan perkataan guru Al-Qur’an Hadist tersebut jangan mengharapkan nilai tetapi berharaplah bisa mendapatkan ilmu.Jika memiliki ilmu maka juga bisa mendapatkan nilai terbaik. Adapun kendala yang dialami dalam penggunaan LKPD yaitu: 1) Siswa terkendala biaya pembelian LKPD karena kemampuan ekonomi orang tua yang berbeda-beda. 2) Tingkat motivasi belajar siswa yang berbeda-beda.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah usaha sadar untuk memanusiakan manusia. Guru pendidikan agama Islam khususnya adalah orang yang bertanggung jawab langsung terhadap pembinaan akhlak dan menanamkan norma-norma hukum tentang baik dan buruk atas segala perbuatan yang dilakukan baik di dunia maupun di dunia. Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah, ada siswa yang sering membolos sekolah, ada siswa yang merokok di kantin sekolah, ada siswa yang tawuran, ada siswa yang suka mencoret-coret meja dan dinding serta ada siswa yang membawa handphone ke sekolah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggambarkan kejadian yang terjadi di lapangan. Lokasi penelitian ini adalah SMPN 2 Ujung Batu, Kabupaten Rokan Hulu, Provinsi Riau. Dengan informan kunci 3 Guru PAI, dan informan pendukung adalah wakil kepala sekolah, 1 guru BK, dan 4 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Setelah data terkumpul, dilakukan pengolahan dan analisis data. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian keabsahan data dengan cara triangulasi data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, bahwa secara umum terdapat beberapa pelanggaran tata tertib sekolah yang sering terjadi di SMPN 2 Ujung Batu seperti membolos, mencorat-coret dinding sekolah, membawa handphone ke sekolah, merokok dan tawuran antar sesama siswa. Strategi guru pendidikan agama Islam dalam menanggulangi pelanggaran tata tertib sekolah adalah: Strategi preventif (pencegahan), strategi represif yaitu upaya yang dilakukan setelah terjadinya pelanggaran, dan strategi kuratif yaitu pemberian sanksi.

Abstract

Thistresearrch is motivatedubyothe condition ofjstudents' motivation toistudy PAI which is still relatively low, so that when learning many students are less active. Theipurposeoof thisustudy wasito findiyoutr howtmuchuinfluenceuthe observational learning model hadoion students' learning motivation in PAI learning at UPTD SMP Negeri 5Kecamatan Pangkalan Koto Baru.Thiis researchtisua Quasi Experimentail Designiresearch, with a tendency of quantitative data. The data analysiis technique ues the Normality Test with the Kolmogrov Smirnov formula, and the homogeneityytesttwith Fisher's test followed by hypothesis testing with Independent t-test. Basedron the test results and discussion of the research data, the results of the t test. The exerimental class motivation obtained an average of 155.47 and in the control class obtained an averag of 140.50. Itccan beeconcluded thaat the effect ofuusing the discoverry learing mdl on student learing motivation in PAI learning at UPTD SMP Negeri 5 Kecamatan Pangkalan Koto Baru is strong, as evidenced by the number 155.47 > 140.50, then H0 is rejected and H1 is acepted.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI, yang ditandai dengan 35% siswa masih memperoleh nilai rendah. Hal tersebut diasumsikan tidak terlepas dari faktor lingkungan teman sebaya dan motivasi belajar yang dimiliki siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan apakah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan teman sebaya dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional, dengan jumlah sampel 232 siswa. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuisioner dan dokumentasi. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan 1) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan teman sebaya dengan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMK N 3 Payakumbuh. 2) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMK N 3 Payakumbuh. 3) Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan teman sebaya dan motivasi belajar secara simultan dengan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMK N 3 Payakumbuh.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that students' learning activity is still relatively low. The aim is to find out whether the average learning activity of participants is above 75 and whether there is a significant influence on PAI-BP class VIII learning on the subject matter "Usury in Buying and Selling and Accounts Payable". This research is experimental research with a static group comparison design. The population was all students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Pua and the sampling technique used probability sampling with class VIII 1 as the experimental class and VIII 3 as the control class. Data was collsected using questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using the T-test, namely the one sample t-test and the independent t-test. It was found that the average learning activity of students using the Quick On The Draw cooperative learning model was above 75, confirmed by the results of the one sample t-test, namely sig.(2-tailed) 0.002<0.05. The tcount value is 3.468>ttable 2.064. The next finding is that there is a significant influence of using the Quick On The Draw cooperative learning model on learning activity, confirmed by the results of the independent sample t-test, namely the Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05 and has an average difference (Mean Difference¬) 13.14000.

Abstract

The background of this research is that there are parents who have various kinds of busyness, one of which is work which causes a student to pay less attention to how learning problems are experienced by children at school. and there are also parents who are reluctant to attend school invitations because the student's behavior causes students to lack interest in learning so that the learning outcomes they get are not good. This study aims to determine the effect of parental attention on student learning outcomes at SMPN 01 Koto Besar.This research belongs to the correlative quantitative research, namely to see the effect of two different variables. The population in this study were class VIII students, totaling 104 students. The research sample was 27 students who were taken using the Total Sampling technique. Data was collected using a Likert scale instrument and then processed using the Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) Version 20 hypothesis test.Based on the results of the correlation analysis, it is known that if the pcount value is greater than the ptable, it can be said to be correlated. In this study the ptable was 0.381, the pcount value in this study was 0.371 greater than the ptable 0.381, so it can be said that parental attention and learning outcomes are correlated. The variable size of parents' attention to the learning outcome variable is calculated by D = r2 × 100%, a D of 32% is obtained. So it can be concluded that the influence of parental attention on student learning outcomes in SMP 1 Negeri Koto Besar is 32%, it can be said that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected and there is a significant relationship between parental attention to student learning outcomes in SMP 1 Negeri Koto Big.
