Abstract

Citerep Hamlet is one of the hamlets in Merak Batin Village, Natar District, South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. This village is dominated by residential land covering an area of 1,351 hectares which results in a lot of human activity which cannot be separated from waste or rubbish, especially household waste.. There is no final disposal site (TPA) around Citerep Hamlet and a lack of rubbish dumps. The aim of this activity is to provide outreach and training to the Citerep Hamlet community regarding the use of organic waste into ecoenzymes. The method used is the socialization and training method. The target audience for the service is a sample of at least 20 residents to serve as socialization and training participants. The activity implementation stage includes the initial stage, core and closing stages. The initial stage consists of an interview process, socialization, andtraining manufacture of ecoenzymes. The closing stage is post-activity evaluation. The results can increase people's knowledge and make people independent by making ecoenzymes at home and being able to process organic waste, especially vegetable and fruit waste, into useful products. Innovation in processing household waste in the manufacture of ecoenzymes is a solution for reducing the waste that occurs.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on students’ ability to memorize the Qur’an at MTs Negeri 2 Bandar Lampung. The research was motivated by the limited effectiveness of conventional memorization methods, which tend to be monotonous and provide minimal student interaction. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the pretest–posttest control group type. The subjects consisted of 65 students, with class VIII B assigned as the experimental group and class VIII C as the control group, selected using random sampling techniques. Data were collected through memorization tests, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students’ Qur’an memorization ability in the experimental group, indicated by a significance value of < 0.001 and an average N-Gain score of 0.5008, categorized as moderate effectiveness. These results indicate that the Think Pair Share (TPS) model effectively enhances students’ Qur’an memorization skills by fostering an active, collaborative, and interactive learning environment.

Abstract

Collaborative skills are essential for learning. Teacher-centered learning often leads to students lack of active participation in learning activities, resulting in low collaborative skills. One way to improve students collaborative skills is by implementing a round-robin learning model. This model provides equal opportunities for all students to learn in groups, preventing any single student from dominating. This study aimed to determine the effect of the round-robin learning model on students' collaborative skills. This study was conducted at MIN 1 West Lampung. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling technique, with 65 students each in the experimental and control classes. The instrument used was a collaboration skills questionnaire. This study shows the results of the post-test data hypothesis test using an independent sample t-test with a significance level of 5% (0.05) showing a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.038 which means that there is a rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the round robin learning model on improving collaboration skills between students in class IV MIN 1 West Lampung.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyses the equivalence of meaning between English and Indonesian lyrics of three Maher Zain songs: "For the Rest of My Life," "I Love You So," and "Guide Me All the Way." In line with that, by applying Eugene Nida's theory of formal and dynamic equivalence and Peter Low's Pentathlon Principle as a reference in determining the extent to which the translation maintains the meaning, emotion, and musical beauty that are equivalent to the original version. The analysis was carried out on each line of the English and Indonesian lyrics with a qualitative approach, then a comparison was made referring to meaning, convention, naturalness of language, rhythm, and rhyme. The research findings show in detail that dynamic equivalence is the most dominant. This is because the translator emphasizes and focuses on conveying emotional and spiritual messages that are appropriate or suitable for the culture and sensitivity of Indonesian listeners. On the other hand, in simpler parts and those containing theological meaning, the use of formal equivalence aims to ensure clarity and accuracy. Furthermore, regarding the meaning, naturalness, and loudness of the song translation, it is considered successful based on the Pentathlon Principle analysis, although there are slight differences in rhythm and cadence caused by structural differences and language rules. Finally, the results of the data comparison in this study show that the translation of Maher Zain's songs has succeeded in balancing the equality of the original meaning and musical and cultural. In addition, especially the translation of religious songs requires linguistic accuracy, cultural sensitivity, and harmony.

Abstract

Fourth graders' low learning engagement in elementary schools can hinder learning, especially in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subjects that require contextual understanding. We need innovative learning techniques and media to engage pupils. Thus, this study examines how the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) methodology and Explosion Box media affect fourth graders' IPAS learning in elementary school. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design in a nonequivalent control group posttest-only format. The sample consisted of 40 students divided into experimental and control classes at elementary school 3 Way Galih. Learning activity data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant difference in learning activity between the experimental and control groups, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value = 0.000 < 0.05 and a t-count value of 4.965 > t-table 1.685. These results show that the CTL model with Explosion Box media boosts student learning. This medium creates an interactive, contextual, and engaging learning environment, encouraging student participation. Effective learning model recommendations come from this research. IPAS teachers can use the CTL model and Explosion Box media to motivate, engage, and contextualize elementary school pupils, supporting holistic educational goals.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low activity and learning outcomes of students in natural science subjects at state elementary schools. This study aims to test and analyze the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model on increasing the engagement and learning outcomes of fifth-grade science subject students at State Elementary Schools. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a post-test-only nonequivalent control group design. The sample consists of two groups: the Experimental Class (n=27), which applies the TPS model, and the Control Class (n=26), which uses conventional learning at State Elementary School 3 Bandar Lampung. Data was collected through questionnaires, observation of learning activities, and learning outcome tests (post-test). Learning outcome data was analyzed using the independent sample t-test (Welch's t-test) after normality and homogeneity tests. The results of the study show: (1) Student learning engagement in the Experimental Class is in the High category with an average of 78.7%, while the Control Class is in the medium category with an average of 59.9%. (2) The average post-test score of the experimental class (88.52) was much higher than that of the control class (69.04). (3) The results of the hypothesis test indicated that there was a statistically very significant difference between the two groups (p-value = 0.000000019), which indicated that H_0 was rejected. The contribution of this study is to provide empirical evidence that the TPS learning model is a very effective and significant intervention in improving learning activities and cognitive learning outcomes among science students in elementary Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in strengthening the religious character values of students at MTs Negeri 1 Pesawaran through various strategies implemented in a planned manner. The study used a qualitative method with a case study approach through observation, interviews, and documentation of five key informants. The results showed that PAI teachers and guidance and counseling teachers implemented a number of strategies such as Al-Quran literacy before learning, a tahfiz program, the habit of congregational prayer, the implementation of 3S (smile, greet, say hello), the culture of shaking hands, and monitoring student behavior. These strategies have proven effective in shaping students' religious character, discipline, and responsibility. However, several obstacles were found, such as the school's location close to a busy center, low parental involvement, and negative peer influence. Overall, the role of teachers is very significant in creating a madrasah environment that is conducive to the formation of students' religious character.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between learning independence and active participation among students in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) at MAN 2 Bandar Lampung. Preliminary observations showed that only 15% of students demonstrated adequate self-confidence in independent learning, while responsiveness to questions reached merely 12%, indicating reduced engagement and growing reliance on AI during learning activities. Using a quantitative correlational design with an ex-post facto approach, the study involved 160 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings show a significant positive relationship between learning independence particularly students’ self-confidence and their responsiveness in classroom learning. These results underscore the importance of strengthening students’ confidence in autonomous learning as a primary strategy to enhance classroom responsiveness. Educators are encouraged to implement approaches that intentionally build self-confidence to improve active participation in IRE learning.
