Abstract

The use of social media among adolescents is increasing and has the potential to affect mental health. Junior high school students are a group that is vulnerable to emotional, behavioral, and social relationship disorders due to high digital exposure. The main problems in this study are the high intensity of social media use among students at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Jambi and the high proportion of abnormal mental health. This study aims to determine the relationship between social media use and mental health among adolescents at SMP Negeri 6 Kota Jambi. This study uses acorrelative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consists of all students in grades VII–IX, and the sample consists of 101 respondents selected using stratified random sampling. The independent variable was social media use, and the dependent variable was mental health, which was measured using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires, which were then analyzed using the Kendall Tau test. The results showed that most adolescents were in the frequent social media use category (53.5%), and most had abnormal mental health (86.1%). Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between social media use and mental health (p = 0.001) with a correlation strength of r = 0.321, which means a moderate positive relationship. The conclusion of this study is that the higher the social media use, the worse the mental health condition of adolescents.

Abstract

The Fraud Triangle theory consists of three elements, namely Pressure, Opportunity, and Rationalization, which are integrated with the concept of human vices, according to Imam Al-Ghazali's book Ihya Ulumuddin. This research aims to understand the factors that drive a person to commit fraud, focusing on how vices such as Sabu'iyah, Bahimiyyah, and Syaithaniyah contribute to cheating behaviour. This research uses a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews with informants from manufacturing companies and tax consulting services in Indonesia. The results showed that the three elements of the Fraud Triangle, namely Opportunity, Rationalization, and Pressure, which are integrated with the book of Ihya Ulumuddin Imam Al-Ghazali that a person will commit fraud because of his nature, does not have a firm stance and faith. The weakness of an internal control system that causes a person to bring up his greed (Sabu'iyah), impulsive actions (Bahimiyah), and Mand guidance (Syaithaniyah) sees an opportunity. This pressure exists so that it rationalizes what is not good. The research results can strengthen a good internal control system for the company, employee ethics and morals, and a positive organizational culture. Novelty This research approach offers a new perspective on understanding the causes of fraud in financial statements through spiritual and ethical lenses that are rarely raised in the literature on fraud.

Abstract

Abstract The use of underground space is an alternative to overcome land limitations in urban areas. However, the regulation of rights to underground space has not been regulated, particularly in relation to its use as an object of collateral rights that are separate from rights to land above ground. Are rights to land in underground space included as criteria for collateral rights as objects of collateral? This legal research uses a normative legal research method, with a statute approach. The legal materials used are primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The analysis of legal materials is carried out descriptively and analytically through a qualitative approach. The results of this legal research show that land rights in the underground space have the opportunity to be included as criteria for Mortgage Rights that are separate from land rights in the above-ground space, based on the provisions of Article 146 paragraph (1) and paragraph (4) of the Job Creation Law. However, the Land Law does not regulate land rights in underground spaces as separate objects of mortgage rights from land rights in above-ground spaces. Therefore, land rights in underground spaces can be used as separate objects of mortgage rights from land rights in above-ground spaces. Keywords: Land Rights, Subsoil Rights, and Encumbrances   Abstrak Penggunaan ruang bawah tanah merupakan alternatif dalam rangka mengatasi keterbatasan lahan didaerah perkotaan. Namun, pengaturan hak atas ruang bawah tanah belum diatur khususnya terkait pemanfaatannya sebagai obyek Hak Tanggungan yang terpisah dari hak atas tanah pada ruang atas tanah. apakah hak atas tanah pada ruang bawah tanah masuk sebagai kriteria obyek Hak Tanggungan sebagai obyek jaminan. Penelitian hukum ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif, dengan pendekatan undang-undang (statute approach). Bahan hukum yang digunakan yaitu bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier. Serta analisa bahan hukum dilakukan secara deskriptif analitis melalui pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian hukum ini, menunjukkan bahwa hak atas tanah pada ruang bawah tanah berpeluang bisa masuk sebagai kriteria obyek Hak Tanggungan yang terpisah dari hak atas tanah pada ruang atas tanah, berdasarkan ketentuan Pasal 146 ayat (1) dan ayat (4) UU Cipta Kerja. Namun, UUHT tidak mengatur hak atas tanah pada ruang bawah tanah sebagai obyek Hak Tanggungan yang terpisah dari hak atas tanah pada ruang atas tanah. Oleh karena itu, hak atas tanah pada ruang bawah tanah bisa dijadikan obyek jaminan Hak Tanggungan yang terpisah dari hak atas tanah pada ruang atas tanah. Abstract

Abstract The trade in protected plants and wildlife is an environmental issue that causes long-term ecological damage. Criminal law has been a limited instrument because it is punishment-oriented. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the urgency of resolving cases of trade in protected plants and wildlife through civil law and to examine the legal standing of the parties in filing civil lawsuits. This study uses normative legal research with a legislative and conceptual approach. The technique for collecting legal materials was conducted through a literature study of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, using a descriptive analysis method. The results of the study show that the trade in protected plants and wildlife can be classified as an unlawful act as referred to in Article 1365 of the Civil Code because it fulfills the elements of action, unlawful nature, fault, ecological damage, and causal relationship. Civil lawsuits play a strategic role in environmental restoration, compensation, and sustainable prevention through deterrence. In addition, the concept of legal standing in environmental cases has been expanded with the recognition of the right to sue by the state, environmental organizations, and the community. Keywords: TSL, Legal Status, Civil Law   Abstrak Perdagangan tumbuhan dan satwa liar yang dilindungi merupakan permasalahan lingkungan menimbulkan kerugian ekologis yang berdampak jangka panjang. Hukum pidana selama ini menjadi instrumen yang memiliki keterbatasan karena berorientasi pada hukuman. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis urgensi penyelesaian perkara perdagangan tumbuhan dan satwa liar yang dilindungi melalui jalur hukum perdata serta mengkaji kedudukan hukum (legal standing) para pihak dalam mengajukan gugatan perdata. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian hukum normatif dengan pendekatan perundang-undangan dan pendekatan konsep. Teknik pengumpulan bahan hukum dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan terhadap bahan hukum primer, sekunder, dan tersier, dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perdagangan tumbuhan dan satwa liar yang dilindungi dapat dikualifikasikan sebagai perbuatan melawan hukum sebagaimana Pasal 1365 KUH Perdata karena memenuhi unsur perbuatan, sifat melawan hukum, kesalahan, kerugian ekologis, dan hubungan kausal. Gugatan perdata memiliki peran strategis dalam pemulihan lingkungan hidup, pemberian ganti rugi, serta pencegahan berkelanjutan melalui efek jera. Selain itu, konsep legal standing dalam perkara lingkungan hidup mengalami perluasan dengan diakuinya hak gugat negara, organisasi lingkungan hidup, dan masyarakat. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan aspek pasar, aspek teknis, aspek manajemen dan aspek finansial pada perencanaan bisnis jasa wedding organizer. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif, dengan menganalisis aspek yang tercakup dalam perencanaan bisnis. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa bisnis wedding organizer ini memiliki masa depan yang sangat menjanjikan kondisi persaingan dalam jasa ini di bilang cukup ketat karena bisinis ini sudah banyak sekali sehingga di butuhkan skil professional dan kreatifitas dan rasa tanggung jawab. bisnis Wedding Organizer memiliki dasar yang kuat untuk dilaksanakan, karena keberadaan Wedding Organizer dapat menjadi economic driver yang kuat pada daerah operasi usahanya. Kesimpulan penelitian ini dapat dikatakan sudah sangat baik sehingga bisnis ini layak untuk dijalankan. penulis menyarankan agar pengusaha selalu dapat melihat dan memanfaatkan aspek-aspek menguntungkan yang telah ada tersebut.

Abstract

This study examines communication management planning in the new student admission process at International Women University (IWU) as an effort to enhance the effectiveness of promotional activities and increase prospective students’ interest. In the context of increasingly intense competition among higher education institutions, a well-planned and systematic communication strategy has become a crucial factor in achieving admission targets. This research employs a qualitative approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants include members of the management team, public relations officers, and administrative staff directly involved in the student admission process. Data were analyzed descriptively to identify communication patterns, implemented strategies, and challenges encountered. The findings indicate that IWU has implemented a comprehensive communication planning process, encompassing situation analysis, target audience identification, selection of communication media, program implementation, and evaluation. The media utilized include social media platforms, the official website, brochures, and direct promotional visits to schools. These strategies have proven effective in increasing institutional visibility and expanding information outreach to prospective students. However, the implementation still faces challenges, particularly in terms of limited human resources and promotional budget constraints. This study concludes that structured communication management planning plays a significant role in supporting the success of new student admissions at IWU. Therefore, strengthening strategic planning, enhancing collaboration, and optimizing the use of digital technology are recommended for future development.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Arabic ebook conversation teaching materials for sixth-grade Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The teaching materials were developed based on the needs of MI level students who still face difficulties in mastering vocabulary and simple conversations. The teaching material product is an eBook entitled “Easy Arabic Conversation for Grade VI,” which contains 15 contextual muhadatsah themes. Validation was carried out by subject matter experts, media experts, and readability tests by teachers and students. The validation results showed that the teaching materials were in the “highly feasible” category in terms of relevance, accuracy, systematics, and learning significance. The responses from teachers and students indicated that the teaching materials were easy to understand, interesting, and helpful for cooperative learning. Thus, these constructivist-based conversation teaching materials are feasible for use as additional learning resources in Arabic language learning for sixth grade MI students.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of NU values in instilling the character of national spirit in class XII IPS 1 SMA NU Ciledug. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data was collected through interviews and observations with related teachers and students as well as documentation. The research results show that the values of Tawassuth (moderate), Tawazun (balanced), and Tasamuh (tolerant) in the Islamic teachings of Ahlussunnah Wal Jamaah are well integrated in learning activities, such as istigosah, Marhaban Al Barzanji, and sholawatan. The implementation of Tawassuth values is reflected in efforts to avoid extremism, while Tasamuh values are implemented through an attitude of tolerance towards religious differences. Tawazun values are implemented through extracurricular activities, flag ceremonies, and mutual cooperation are also part of the implementation of national values. Even though the process of cultivating the character of a national spirit is already going well, research shows that optimizing results requires further support from various parties, including parents, teachers and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) teachers' competencies in integrating character education to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), in Ogan Ilir Regency. Theoretical framework: The study draws on Lickona’s character education theory (cognitive, affective, conative dimensions) and Muslich’s teacher competency framework (pedagogic, professional, personality, social aspects) for integrating character education into IRE learning. Literature review: Previous research underscores the importance of character education, its integration challenges, and the essential role of IRE teachers as moral role models, though competencies in character education vary. Methods: A mixed-methods approach was used, involving quantitative (competency tests) and qualitative (interviews, observations, document analysis) data from 70 IRE teachers in Ogan Ilir Regency. Data were analyzed with SPSS and thematic coding. Results: The study found that IRE teachers' competencies in planning and implementing character education were generally adequate, but significant gaps existed in the evaluation of character education. Most teachers demonstrated sufficient competencies in integrating character values during planning and implementation phases, but the evaluation of character education was weak, with limited use of standardized assessment tools. Implications: The study highlights that IRE teachers face challenges such as limited time, resources, and training. Novelty: This research is among the first to analyze IRE teachers' competencies in integrating character education in Ogan Ilir Regency, offering new insights into how teacher competencies support sustainable development goals in education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of the Google Drive application as a medium for document archiving at SMK Swasta Taruna Bangsa Sawit Seberang in the 2024–2025 academic year. The research was motivated by the persistence of manual archiving systems in schools, which often cause difficulties in document retrieval, data loss risks, and low administrative efficiency. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal and administrative staff. The findings reveal that the use of Google Drive facilitates document storage, management, and retrieval, enhances time efficiency, and strengthens data security through encryption systems and access control features. However, several challenges were identified, including limited digital literacy among users, dependence on internet connectivity, and the restricted capacity of free storage. Overall, the study concludes that Google Drive serves as an effective solution for supporting school archive digitalization, provided that its implementation is accompanied by proper technical training and well-defined management policies.
