Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to formulate strategies implemented by schools to increase students' interest in reading through school literacy programs in the era of digital transformation. Methodology: The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Jetis Ponorogo using data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Sources of research data came from the principal, library director, teachers and students. The data analysis technique uses data triangulation, namely by collecting data, reduplicating data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Results: The strategy implemented by the school in an effort to increase students interest in reading is good and proven to be effective, as it aligns with the success indicators mutually agreed upon by the school as its goal in increasing students interest in reading in the era of digital transformation. The strategy implemented is through (a) the Sabu Saku (One Month One Book) movement with outputs in the form of books and short films based on print and digital media, (b) literacy corners as the school's effort to promote interest in reading in strategic corners of the school, (c) the existence of a cultural and arts studio, (d) a digital library, and (e) the selection of literacy ambassadors as one of the supporters and pioneers of fostering love and appreciation for books. Applications/Originality/Value: The data validity technique uses data validity tests in the form of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests which are of course adapted to the conditions in the field.

Abstract

Learning media is important to support student learning achievements. Numeral Snakes and Ladders (NSL) is an interactive learning media innovation for elementary schools with an interesting and fun cooperative learning approach for students. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of media in learning and improve students' understanding of basic data literacy. The research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. NSL Media was implemented at SDN Gebanganom, Kangkung District, Kendal Regency, with the entire student population in grade 4 and grade 5. Data collection was carried out using direct tests. The sampling technique for this research is saturated sampling. Data analysis was carried out using a paired sample T-test. The research results showed that by testing using the paired sample T-test, evidence was <0.05 obtained that the two groups before and after using NSL media experienced a significant increase.  Apart from that, learning using NSL media can affect students' cognitive abilities, the effect can be concluded from the test increase from 78.2 to 82.1. The characteristics of students observed during the learning process are honesty, responsibility, and spiritual attitudes well developed. Apart from that, teachers can develop and direct social and spiritual skills and attitudes in learning in the hope that students can grow and develop according to their phases and have quality learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is a development of previous research, namely the acquisition of kWh meter data impulse system on household electrical energy consumption with Internet of Thing (IoT)-based light sensors, where for home locations that have not been reached by internet providers this certainly has obstacles. So it is proposed to access it using SIM800L. The methodology used with the stages of designing and making, testing, data analysis, evaluation of research results and preparation of research reports. The system is made by utilizing a light sensor (LDR Sensor) to read the light emitted by the LED impulse kWh meter in this case as much as 3200imp / kWh, the number of impulses received by the LDR sensor is then calculated by the microcontroller and then sent to the cloud. The system is expected to display electricity consumption data directly / real time to the internet through SIM800L module.

Abstract

In Indonesia, sharia economic law is implemented through Religious Courts which have an important role in resolving disputes involving sharia financial entities such as banks, microfinance institutions, and insurance. Law Number 3 of 2006 replaces Law Number 7 of 1989 which significantly expands the authority of the Religious Courts in supervising and enforcing sharia economic principles. Sharia economics, which is based on Islamic values such as justice, honesty, and legal certainty, forms an economic and financial system that is different from conventional systems. Religious Court Judges strive to balance ethical and practical considerations in carrying out their judicial duties. This research examines how ethical perspectives and practical considerations contribute to achieving legal certainty and justice in resolving sharia economic disputes, especially in the Surabaya Religious Court. This research uses a normative juridical approach using legal utility theory to analyze the challenges faced and propose strategies to increase the effectiveness of implementing simple, efficient, and cost-effective principles in Sharia economic protection at the Surabaya High Religious Court. The research results consider the principles of maqasid al-syariah to simplify the process, lighten the burden on the parties involved, and uphold justice in every decision-making. This study emphasizes the need for better integration between Islamic Sharia principles and Sharia banking practices in Indonesia, as well as encouraging reforms to ensure that legal outcomes provide fair justice and maximum social benefits, in line with the ethical and utilitarian aims of the law.

Abstract

This article discusses the issue of the welfare of private lecturers in Indonesia from a legal perspective, focusing on three main aspects: salaries, certification, and social security through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. In the context of social justice, this study identifies the challenges faced by private lecturers related to the provision of salaries that are not in accordance with the Regional Minimum Wage (UMR), delays in lecturer certification, and the lack of adequate social protection through BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. This study uses a qualitative approach by interviewing lecturers at various private universities in Indonesia, spread across 5 provinces (West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, and Bengkulu) and in 12 cities/regencies. The total campuses that are the objects of this study are 24 private universities, consisting of universities, institutes, and colleges. Legal analysis is carried out on existing regulations related to lecturer welfare. The results of the study show that although there are regulations governing the welfare of lecturers, inconsistent implementation has caused injustice felt by many private lecturers. This article suggests the need to revise and strengthen legal regulations to ensure the rights of private lecturers in Indonesia are fulfilled, in order to achieve equitable welfare.

Abstract

Pangandaran Regency holds considerable potential to emerge as a prominent halal tourism destination, supported by places of worship, halal cuisine, Islamic boarding school-based creative economies and halal accommodations. Despite these assets, the absence of specific regulations governing halal tourism hinders full optimization. Presently, Pangandaran relies on broader frameworks like West Java Governor Regulation Number 1 of 2022 on Sharia Economy and Finance Development, along with the 2019 West Java Halal Tourism Guidelines. This study explores the application of Islamic service ethics as a tailored regulatory approach to foster halal tourism growth in Pangandaran. It also aims to identify implementation challenges and propose viable solutions. The research uses qualitative methods to draw from regulatory analysis, interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The theoretical framework incorporates contemporary maqashid Sharia, legal change theory, maslahah mursalah, and halal theory. Findings reveal that integrating Islamic service ethics can effectively serve as a specialized regulation to unlock Pangandaran's halal tourism potential. This approach enhances security, comfort, and appeal for Muslim tourists, aligning with their religious values. Furthermore, the study underscores the broader economic benefits of halal tourism, offering a scalable regulatory model applicable to other regions with similar potential. The implications of this research extend to Islamic economics by promoting Sharia principles within the tourism sector, driving economic growth, and positioning Pangandaran as a leading halal tourism hub. This initiative bolsters local development and contributes to the overarching vision of integrated halal tourism in Indonesia.
