Abstract

Abstract Educational planning is a crucial element in achieving optimal quality of education. This study aims to explain the history and background of the importance of planning in the world of education, as well as the factors that encourage the need for adaptive educational planning that is relevant to the development of the times. Educational planning is not only about formulating goals and strategies, but also includes an understanding of social, economic, political, and technological developments. Over the course of history, educational planning has evolved from being simple in early civilizations to becoming a structured and complex system. Various theories and approaches in educational planning have also changed to adapt to the demands of globalization and technological advances. This article reviews various perspectives from experts and emphasizes the importance of understanding the historical context in designing effective educational planning. Thus, mature educational planning can support the achievement of better educational goals, as well as ensure inclusive and sustainable education in the future. This study also offers suggestions for improving the quality of educational planning to be more responsive to changes and community needs. Keywords: History, Background, Educational Planning

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article examines "Managerial Efficacy of Leaders in Developing New Institutions in Muhammadiyah Boarding School Karang Ringin II Muba" with the aim of understanding the role of managerial efficacy of leaders in the development of new educational institutions in the midst of contemporary educational challenges. Using a qualitative approach with the type of case study, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show that leaders with high managerial effectiveness are able to manage their own potential and resources, improve teacher skills, adapt to changes in the environment, and implement flexible and adaptive leadership strategies. The implications of these findings underscore the importance of developing the capacity of leaders in the management of educational institutions and implementing innovative strategies to overcome existing challenges. The proposed suggestions include the need for ongoing training and professional development programs for leaders and teachers to improve the efficacy and quality of education in institutions. This research is expected to provide valuable insights for stakeholders in the world of education to create a quality and sustainable institution. Abstract

ABSTRACT In the 21st century, changes in digital technology advancement have become a global phenomenon that has an impact on many aspects including education. Digitalization not only has an impact on the way information is delivered but also on the paradigm in education fundamentally. This study uses qualitative research with a literature review approach by collecting data from various valid and relevant academic sources. The analysis technique used in qualitative literature review research is theme analysis by grouping the findings into major topics that can describe the data patterns obtained. Technological developments present challenges in the form of obstacles to infrastructure and resources, inadequate digital skills and literacy of educators, and gaps between policy formulation and technology implementation in schools. Opportunities that can be utilized are improving the standards and effectiveness of the learning process, improving the technical digital competence of teachers in the field and strategic synergy between policies and technology implementation. Several things that are recommended as strategic planning steps are the formulation and development of more inclusive and adaptive Islamic education planning, developing an open and flexible curriculum by including digital literacy, investing to improve the development of technological infrastructure in educational institutions and implementing a managerial system to carry out continuous data-based monitoring and assessment. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi penerapan model CTL dalam pembelajaarn PAI serta menganalisis efektivitas model CTL dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif melalui kajian literatur kepustakaan (library research) dengan rangcangan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Indonesia memiliki peranan yang sangat penting dalam membentuk karakter dan moral generasi muda. Namun, proses pembelajaran PAI di sekolah dasar seringkali menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti kurangnya motivasi siswa dan metode pengajaran yang tidak menarik. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, inovasi dalam metode pembelajaran menjadi sangat diperlukan. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diterapkan adalah model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), yang berfokus pada penghubungan materi pelajarandengan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model CTL berhasil meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Siswa menjadi lebih aktif terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran dan mampu mengaitkan materi PAI dengan pengalaman sehari-hari mereka. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam implementasinya, seperti keterbatasan sarana prasarana dan kesiapan guru, solusi yang tepat dapat membantu mengatasi hambatan tersebut. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi pengembangan metode pembelajaran PAI di sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: Model Contextual Teaching and Learning(CTL), Pembelajaran PAI

Abstract

Early school childhood (6-12 years) is a crucial period for children's physical, psychological and cognitive development. Children experience an increase in physical strength, social maturity, and independence, and begin to develop a sense of responsibility and critical thinking skills. Elementary school childhood (6-12 years) is a period of very significant development in various aspects of physical, motor, cognitive, social, emotional, language, and moral. The method used in this research is literature, the data source is from books, articles, websites, then analyzed to draw conclusions. The results show that at this age, children show improvements in gross motor skills, more complex language abilities, as well as more mature cognitive development, including logical thinking. They also begin to develop social skills and a deeper understanding of emotions and social norms. In addition, the results obtained from this study are that support from the environment, such as parents, teachers and peers, is very important in encouraging children's development. Islamic religious education plays a crucial role in supporting this development, by teaching healthy living habits, strengthening intellectual abilities, and shaping children's social and moral character.

Abstract

Imam Al-Ghazali's background as a Sufi, a religious expert, and prioritizing noble morals greatly influenced him in all his thoughts, including Islamic education. The journey of Islamic education that has grown and developed until now is greatly influenced by the thoughts of the driving figures in implementing the learning system in his educational institutions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with literature data collection techniques (library research). Imam Al-Ghazali, a great scholar in Islamic history, is known for his profound thoughts in various fields, including education. In his work, Al-Ghazali emphasized the importance of character formation, moral development, and balance between worldly knowledge and the afterlife. Although Al-Ghazali lived in the 11th century, the concept of the educational system proposed is related to education today. One of the similarities lies in the concept of using reinforcement and punishment in the learning process. The results of this analysis show that there is a match between the concept of the educational system according to Imam Al-Ghazali's thoughts and current education, especially in terms of character formation through positive and negative reinforcement. Through this understanding, we can learn that ideal education is one that integrates spiritual and behavioral aspects, by emphasizing the formation of good character in accordance with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Late adolescence is an important phase in the formation of students’ self-identity and character, so that Islamic religious education has a strategic role in directing this development as a whole. This study aims to examine the development of late adolescents in physical, intellectual, emotional, social, moral, and religious aspects and their implications for Islamic education at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Iman Banyuasin. This research uses a qualitative approach with a field study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of students, PAI teachers, and the head of madrasah. The results showed that although there is progress in physical and intellectual aspects, the main challenges are still found in the emotional, moral aspects, and the practice of religious teachings in daily life. Therefore, Islamic education needs to be developed with a contextual, reflective, and applicable approach through adaptive learning methods and consistent exemplary behavior. Thus, students are expected to be able to internalize Islamic values more deeply and apply them in various aspects of life.

Abstract

Teori konstruktivistik menekankan bahwa pengetahuan tidak hanya diterima secara pasif, melainkan dibangun secara aktif oleh individu melalui interaksi dengan lingkungan dan pengalamannya. Penerapan teori konstruktivistik dalam pembelajaran PAI dinilai relevan karena menekankan peran aktif peserta didik dalam membangun pengetahuan dan pemahaman agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis terkait teori konstruktivistik, kelebihan dan kekurangan, serta implikasinya dalam pembelajaran PAI. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui data non-numerik, seperti wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen kemudian dikaji dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teori konstruktivistik adalah sebuah pendekatan pembelajaran yang menekankan bahwa pengetahuan bukan hanya ditransfer dari guru ke peserta didik, tetapi dibangun secara aktif oleh peserta didik sendiri melalui pengalaman dan interaksi. Adapun implikasi dari teori konstruktivistik, yaitu pembelajaran berpusat pada peserta didik, penggunaan berbagai sumber belajar, pembelajaran kontekstual dan berbasis pengalaman, penilaian menjadi lebih holistik, dan pembelajaran kolaboratif dimana guru dapat menggabungkan pembelajaran dengan berbagai hal, seperti penggabungan pembelajaran dengan teknologi. Penerapan pendekatan konstruktivistik dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) berpotensi mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa melalui analisis dan interpretasi informasi, bukan sekadar penerimaan pasif.  Hal ini juga meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah berbasis pengalaman dan konteks kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk konteks keagamaan.  Lebih lanjut, pendekatan ini mendorong kemandirian belajar, keterampilan sosial dan kolaborasi, serta pemahaman agama yang mendalam dan bermakna melalui pengalaman dan refleksi.  Akibatnya, siswa dapat mengembangkan sikap religius positif seperti tanggung jawab, empati, dan kepedulian.

Abstract

Cognitivist learning theory emphasizes that learning is an active mental process involving experience and interaction with the environment. This qualitative descriptive study aims to conceptually examine the implications of cognitivist learning theory for Islamic Religious Education at the junior high school level in literature review. The findings reveal that cognitivist theory remains highly applicable in designing adaptive and meaningful learning strategies, particularly through methods such as discovery learning and problem-based learning. Moreover, understanding students’ cognitive structures enables educators to tailor materials according to developmental stages. The study recommends integrating cognitive theory into PAI instruction to enhance learning effectiveness and promote deeper comprehension of religious values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of cognitivism theory in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for fifth grade students of SDN 124 Palembang and evaluate its impact on improving conceptual understanding and internalization of religious values. The theory of cognitivism, which emphasizes the mental process of understanding, storing, and integrating new information, is used as the main theoretical framework in developing learning strategies. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the application of cognitivism-based learning strategies-such as elaboration of meaning, linking new concepts with students' experiences, and the use of visual media-contributed significantly to improving the understanding of PAI materials. In addition, this approach also encouraged students' active participation in reflective discussions and the strengthening of religious values in daily life. The findings indicate that the cognitivism approach can be an effective pedagogical alternative in learning PAI at the elementary school level. The implications of this study open up space for the development of learning models that are more contextual and oriented to students' thinking processes.
