Abstract

The research is motived by the low communication skills of students in class V. This study aims to improve the communication skills of students in class V UPT SDN 013 Kumantan. This research is classroom action research, which was carried out in two cycles and each cycle consisted of two meetings. The subjects in this research were 1 teacher and 9 students, while the object was through the application of the time token learning model to improve students' communication skills. This research instrument consists of teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, documentation sheets and communication skills observation sheets during learning through the application of the time token learning model. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The success in implementing this time token learning model can be seen based on the results of observation in the initial data, which was 59.1, decreasing in cycle 1, meeting 1, amounting to 56.3, then increasing again in meeting 2 to 60.5. Cycle II, meeting 1, was 70.2, then increased again in meeting 2 to 82,1, as well as classical completeness from the initial data of 33.3%, then in cycle I, meetings 1 and 2, by 33,3% and 33,3%. In cycle II, meeting 1, it was 55,5% and in meeting 2 it increased again to 88.8%. thus, it can be concloud that applying the time token learning moden can improve the communication skills of fifth graders at UPT SDN 013 Kumantan

Abstract

This research aimed at describing the increase of student listening skill through Directed Listening Thinking Activity strategy at the third grade of State Elementary School 006 Pasir Sialang, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency. It was a classroom action research. The subjects of this research were a teacher and 25 of the third-grade students at State Elementary School 006 Pasir Sialang. This research was conducted for two cycles and every cycle comprised two meetings. Observation and written test were the techniques of collecting the data. Based on the research findings, the implementation of Directed Listening Thinking Activity strategy could increase student listening skill. Before the action, student listening skill was 57,22% with low category. After the action was conducted in the first cycle, student listening skill was 81% with good enough category. It increased in the second cycle to 92% with good category. Therefore, it could be concluded that the implementation of Directed Listening Thinking Activity strategy could increase student listening skill on Caring for Animals and Plants theme at the third grade of State Elementary School 006 Pasir Sialang, Bangkinang District, Kampar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' initial reading skills through the Inductive Model with picture word media in class I students of UPT SDN 004 Langini in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were 20 students, while the objects in this study were the Inductive Model of picture words and for students' beginner reading skills. In this study, 2 cycles were carried out, each cycle was carried out 2 meetings. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, tests and documentation. Based on the increase in the number of students who achieved the learning objective achievement criteria (KKTP) and the increase in the average class and classical scores. The presentation value of classical completeness in cycle I meeting I was 40%, in cycle I meeting II 55%, and cycle II meeting I.65%, then in cycle II meeting II 80%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the Inductive Model with Picture Word media, it can improve students' beginner reading skills in class I UPT SDN 004 Langgini.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low math counting skills of class II students totaling 24 people, 14 male students and 10 female students. This study aims to improve the counting skills of grade II elementary school students through the use of the STAD type cooperative learning model with the help of ravine board props, in learning mathematics. This research is a class action research (PTK) conducted in two cycles at UPT SDN 007 Bangkinang. Data collection techniques in this study used documentation techniques, observation techniques, and test techniques. The instruments in this study used learning tools such as ATP, teaching modules, and student worksheets (LKPD). The data analysis technique in this study uses qualitative data, and quantitative data. Based on data analysis, it can be seen that there is an increase in students' counting skills. Before the action, the completeness of the results of students' counting skills was only 33% with a very poor category. In carrying out cycle I meeting I, the completeness of the results of students' counting skills reached 60.56% with the category less. In cycle I meeting 2, the test results of students' counting skills reached 72.66% in the sufficient category. Whereas in cycle 2 meeting I, the test results of students' counting skills reached 76.60% still in the sufficient category. In cycle 2 meeting 2, the test results of students' counting skills reached 85.35% in the good category. This it can be concluded that students' counting skills can be improved by using the STAD type cooperative model using the ravine board props.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in class IV-B, particularly in Mathematics learning. The aim of this study is to improve the critical thinking abilities of the fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 001 Airitiris. The observed deficiency in critical thinking skills can be addressed through the application of the STEM learning model (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This study is classified as classroom action research, conducted over two cycles, with each cycle comprising two meetings. The subjects of this research include the IV-B class teacher, peers, and 21 students, while the object focuses on utilizing the STEM learning model to enhance students' critical thinking skills. The research instruments consist of observation sheets for both teacher and student activities, test sheets, and documentation sheets. The data analysis techniques employed are both qualitative and quantitative. Based on the results of the research conducted over two cycles, in the first cycle during the first meeting, the students' critical thinking skills were categorized as low at 38%, and in the second meeting, they remained in the low category at 43%. In the second cycle, the first meeting showed that students' critical thinking skills had improved to a moderate level, and in the second meeting, they reached a critical level at 86%. The findings of this study indicate that the implementation of the STEM learning model can effectively enhance the critical thinking skills of IV-B students at UPT SDN 001 Airitiris.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan kajian sejarah yang merekonstruksi biografi Guru Sauti (1903–1963), seorang tokoh seni Melayu asal Serdang Bedagai yang dikenal sebagai pencipta Tari Serampang Dua Belas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap perjalanan hidup, aktivitas kesenian, serta kontribusi Guru Sauti dalam perkembangan seni tari Melayu di Serdang dan pengaruhnya pada ranah nasional maupun internasional. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian sejarah, yang meliputi tahapan heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan narasumber yang memiliki kedekatan dan hubungan genealogis dengan Guru Sauti, termasuk anak kandungnya, serta penelusuran sumber tertulis dan arsip lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Guru Sauti tidak hanya berperan sebagai seniman dan koreografer, tetapi juga sebagai pendidik yang mendedikasikan hidupnya bagi perkembangan kesenian Melayu Serdang. Karyanya yang monumental, Serampang Dua Belas, berhasil memperkenalkan identitas budaya Serdang ke tingkat yang lebih luas. Biografi ini juga memperlihatkan berbagai dinamika sosial, politik, dan kebudayaan yang memengaruhi perjalanan hidupnya.Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya penulisan biografi tokoh lokal sebagai upaya pelestarian sejarah dan pengakuan terhadap kontribusi mereka dalam pembentukan identitas budaya bangsa.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi penerapan game edukasi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan dampaknya terhadap motivasi belajar, keterampilan berbahasa, dan keterlibatan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengabdian masyarakat dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang melibatkan siswa kelas IV dan V SD di Bagan Jaya Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes hasil belajar, kuesioner motivasi, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan game edukasi berhasil meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, yang tercermin dalam kuesioner motivasi yang menunjukkan perubahan signifikan dalam antusiasme dan keterlibatan siswa selama pembelajaran. Selain itu, game edukasi juga memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan menulis dan berbicara siswa. Tes menulis dan penilaian lisan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun kalimat, menulis cerita, dan berbicara dengan lebih percaya diri. Pemahaman materi Bahasa Indonesia juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan siswa yang menggunakan game edukasi memperoleh nilai yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Selain aspek akademik, game edukasi juga berpengaruh positif terhadap perkembangan karakter siswa, terutama dalam hal kerjasama, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa game edukasi merupakan pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SD, dan dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif untuk menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan interaktif. Kata kunci: game edukasi, pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, motivasi belajar, keterampilan berbahasa, Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Abstrak Pemberdayaan guru dalam pembelajaran sastra Bahasa Indonesia di tingkat Sekolah Dasar (SD) memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, terutama dalam mengembangkan keterampilan berbahasa dan apresiasi siswa terhadap karya sastra. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak program pengabdian masyarakat dalam pemberdayaan guru melalui pelatihan berbasis media digital dan pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan guru melalui pelatihan penggunaan media digital dan pengajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran sastra secara lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran dan media digital lainnya terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi dan minat baca siswa terhadap sastra. Selain itu, pembelajaran sastra yang terintegrasi dengan pengembangan karakter siswa, seperti empati, tanggung jawab, dan disiplin, mampu menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih bermakna. Meskipun terdapat tantangan dalam hal aksesibilitas teknologi di beberapa daerah, program pemberdayaan guru ini menunjukkan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di SD, yang dapat diimplementasikan lebih luas di masa depan. Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan aplikasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Di era digital, AI menawarkan solusi adaptif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi dasar dengan memberikan umpan balik real-time dan latihan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Melalui pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan di SD Bagan Jaya, program ini melibatkan pelatihan kepada guru, penggunaan aplikasi AI oleh siswa, serta pendampingan intensif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan membaca dan menulis siswa, dengan rata-rata peningkatan 30% untuk tes membaca dan 25% untuk tes menulis setelah mengikuti program ini selama 6 minggu. Selain itu, siswa merasa lebih termotivasi dan percaya diri dalam belajar karena dukungan teknologi yang memungkinkan mereka untuk berlatih secara mandiri. Hasil dari kuesioner kepuasan siswa menunjukkan bahwa 90% siswa merasa aplikasi AI membantu mereka lebih mudah memahami materi dan meningkatkan keterampilan literasi. Program ini juga memperkuat pentingnya peran guru sebagai fasilitator serta dukungan orang tua dalam proses pembelajaran di rumah. Secara keseluruhan, penerapan AI di pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi dasar siswa SD. Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the use of digital technology-based learning media in teaching Indonesian language in elementary schools using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The research methodology involves analyzing scholarly articles from both domestic and international sources published in the past 5–10 years and retrieved from indexed databases. The review process includes identification, selection, evaluation, and analysis of articles based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings show that digital technology-based learning media, such as interactive multimedia, educational videos, learning applications, and online learning platforms, have a positive impact on enhancing students' motivation, understanding of the material, and language skills in elementary schools. Additionally, the use of digital media can create more engaging, relevant, and student-centered learning experiences. However, several challenges exist, including limited facilities, low digital skills among teachers, and unequal access to technology. Therefore, policy support, continuous teacher training, and adequate infrastructure provision are necessary to maximize the use of digital technology-based learning media in Indonesian language education in elementary schools.
