Abstract

Reading is a skill that must be mastered by elementary school students because it can increase a person's reasoning for that a teacher must be a bridge in transferring knowledge by using teaching materials with DRTA strategies. Research method 4-D development with 4 stages define, design, develop, and disseminate. Teaching materials that have been validated by experts and practitioners with validation results of content eligibility with an average of 88.3 are very valid, linguistic aspects with an average of 91.6 are very valid, presentation aspects with an average of 90 are very valid, and aspe graphic of 87.5 is very valid.. After the validated teaching materials were tested in the class using a quasi-experimental method to obtain an increase in experimental class reading comprehension 18.75% higher than the increase in the control class with a 12.5% increase in class. To test whether there is a significant difference in the gain value tested by using normality and homogeneity tests, after the results are obtained, it is re-tested using the average difference test with the results of t_counts = 0.26 and t_table= 2.00 so that it can be concluded that the ability to read comprehension does not exist significant difference.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the need for digital learning resources in education is very important and urgent to develop. It includes developing digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers. This article will discuss SWOT analysis (Strengths [S], Weaknesses [W], Opportunities [O], Threats [T]) as an instrument for conducting a needs analysis to develop digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers. This research uses a literature study method, with research implementation stages consisting of (a) collecting reference sources, (b) verifying literature sources, and (c) conceptualization. From the research stages that have been carried out, the needs analysis instrument for developing digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers can be classified into four forms, namely strength analysis (S) consisting of five question items, weakness analysis (W) consisting of three question items, opportunity analysis (O) consists of two question items, and threat analysis (T) consists of two question items. Based on this, it is necessary to carry out a SWOT analysis to prepare an analysis instrument for developing digital disaster learning resources for prospective elementary school teachers. The recommendation from the results of this study is that the needs analysis instrument using SWOT analysis can be adapted for use in needs analysis instruments for developing media and other learning resources.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning is essential for understanding mathematics. This literature study determines the development of learners’ mathematical reasoning abilities over the last 3 years. This study presents a literature review regarding the development of mathematical reasoning, including media, strategies, and measurement instruments, to serve as a basis for future mathematical reasoning research. The literature study method used is a systematic literature review (SLR), using a review procedure that refers to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework in the period 2021 to 2023 because the development of mathematical reasoning literature studies is very significant and recent. Data collection was performed by reviewing 20 Scopus-indexed articles from the Scopus database. The results of the research reveal that from the 20 selected pieces of literature, it can be interpreted that mathematical reasoning abilities can be improved and fulfill the indicators of mathematical reasoning itself by providing innovative media, strategies, and instruments in mathematics learning. The innovation provided can be in the form of technology integration (Geogebra), strategies that are no longer conventional, and the reasoning indicator instrument itself. Thus, students’ mathematical reasoning abilities are no longer included in the low category in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on the listening skills of fifth-grade students. The research was conducted in classes VB and VC at UPT SDN 015 Sumber Sari, involving a total of 62 students, during the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year, specifically in July 2024. The study utilized a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design, involving two classes: VC as the experimental class with 32 students and VB as the control class with 30 students. In the experimental class, learning was conducted using the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model, while in the control class, conventional teaching methods were applied. Students' listening skills were assessed through pretests and posttests in audio format, each consisting of 20 questions. The data collected were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing through the SPSS 24 application. The results showed that hypothesis testing using the t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. These findings suggest a significant effect of applying the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model on students' listening skills. This improvement was evident from the average posttest scores, with the experimental class achieving an average of 83.48, higher than the control class's average of 71.74. Thus, this study confirms that the use of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) model is effective in enhancing the listening skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to see how social problems occur in grade V elementary school students with video-based learning media. The research method uses the (RD) Research and Development method with the ADDIE approach. The subject of this study is a grade V student of State Elementary School 024 Tarai Bangun Tambang District, Kampar Regency. Data collection used a questionnaire that was distributed to 29 students in class V . The results of the study showed that the feasibility data of video media showed an average score of 90% with a very valid category. The second aspect of assessment, the language aspect, obtained an average score of 80% with a very valid category. The third aspect is the media aspect, which has an average score of 86.36% with a very valid category. From these three aspects, the average final score of the validation assessment was obtained by showing a score of 88.41% with a very valid category. The results of the research from the learning media can be seen as follows: the validation of material experts got a score of 90%, the validation of linguists 88%, the validation of media experts 86.36%, the validation of practitioners I got a percentage score of 90.83%, the validation of ptactification II 100%, the one-on-one trial got a score of 88.33%, and the small group trial got a percentage score of 86.12%. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of learning video media is very feasible to improve the way students learn actively.
