Abstract

Gabungan High School is one of the oldest schools in Papua. A private school founded by the Protestant and Catholic Education Foundation under the auspices of two (2) churches, namely Protestant and Catholic. In its work in the world of education, the Jayapura Gabungan High School has also helped shape the nation's civilization. Around 75 years ago, at the start of the school's establishment, the Jayapura Combined Gabungan High School was an excellent school, had many enthusiasts, and had produced quality graduates such as ministers, governors and regents. However, the existence of the Gabungan High School did not last, when the government started building public schools, not only that, many private schools were built, this became a separate threat to the Gabungan High School. Through this research, do a strategy analysis that will be made by the school using the SWOT matrix, position and action evaluation (SPACE) strategy matrix, Grand Strategy Matrix and Quatitive Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) which begins with an analysis of the factors that have an impact on the school both from within and from outside school. The results obtained are 3 (three) strategic programs which are categorized as priority programs, namely 1) Schools build in collaboration with parents who have knowledge of administration to provide material for education staff; 2) Building cooperation with traditional parties to secure the school environment; and 3) Building alumni support.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a literature study on the influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on students. In today's digital age, AI has played an essential role in various aspects of human life, including Education. Students are a group that is directly affected by the development of AI technology. Therefore, this study aims to identify and analyze the impact of AI on students, both in terms of learning, skill development, well-being, and challenges that may be faced. This research uses a literature study approach. Data and information will be collected through literature searches from academic sources and related research related to the use of AI in student education. The relevant data will be systematically analyzed and synthesized to understand this topic comprehensively. This research is expected to provide insight into the influence of AI on college students and provide a better understanding of the benefits, challenges, and implications of using AI in Higher Education. The results of this research can be a foundation for developing better strategies for integrating AI technology in student learning environments. With the increasing presence of AI in Education, it is essential to understand its impact on college students. This literature study will provide a comprehensive overview of the benefits of AI for college students, such as increased access to resources, personalized learning, and technology skills development. However, privacy concerns, ethics, and access inequality also need attention. The results of this research are expected to provide insights for educational institutions to integrate AI wisely and effectively in the student learning experience. A limitation of this study is the reliance on existing literature studies. The study did not include primary data or students' direct experiences related to AI. Therefore, advanced research with different methods, such as surveys or interviews, can be needed to complete the understanding of the influence of AI on college students.

Abstract

Seringkali guru menggunakan slide powerpoint sebagai media untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran kepada siswa. Akan tetapi, slide powerpoint yang guru buat selalu itu-itu saja, tidak ada inovasi, baik dari segi tampilan, atau transisi. Padahal jika benar-benar mampu memaksimalkan penggunaan powerpoint segai media penyampaian materi dapat menjadi media yang menarik dan inovatif. Kegiatan pelatihan bagi MGMP Sejarah SMA Kabupaten Kudus ini bertujuan memberikan pengetahuan dalam memaksimalkan powerpoint sebagai media bagi mereka untuk menyampaikan materi pembelajaran sejarah. Hasilnya kegiatan ini memberikan dampak positif bagi guru dalam melakukan inovasi pembelajaran, terutama dalam menggunakan slide powerpoint sebagai media penyampaian materi mereka.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan menganalisis pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan dalam konteks peningkatan keterlibatan dan penguatan jejaring lulusan dalam program studi di sebuah perguruan tinggi. Jejaring lulusan saat ini seolah tidak banyak dilibatkan dalam pengelolaan program studi karena dianggap berada di luar organisasi Pendidikan. Disisi yang lain, peran lulusan yang telah berada di indutri/dunia kerja dalam memberikan dukungan, saran, dan penguatan kepada program studi sangat signifikan. Terlebih, kesesuaian antara kurikulum program studi, kompetensi lulusan, dan harapan industri/dunia kerja seharusnya selaras. Selain itu, pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat hubungan antara perguruan tinggi dan alumni. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dengan melibatkan alumni yang telah lulus dari program studi doktor manajemen kependidikan Universitas Negeri Semarang. FGD digunakan untuk mendapatkan masukan, umpan balik, dan pandangan dari alumni terkait dengan peran sebagai bagian dari jejaring lulusan, serta harapan terhadap program studi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan FGD telah menciptakan interaksi yang aktif antara alumni dan program studi. Alumni memberikan masukan yang berharga terkait dengan kebutuhan industri, perkembangan karier, serta perbaikan dan pengembangan program studi. Masukan dari alumni memungkinkan perguruan tinggi untuk menyesuaikan kurikulum, menambahkan program pengembangan karier, serta meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran. Dalam jangka panjang, pengabdian ini juga berpotensi memperkuat jejaring lulusan dan meningkatkan keterlibatan dalam mendukung akreditasi program studi. Kata kunci: jejaring lulusan; program studi; FGD; akreditasi. ABSTRACTThis community service aims to explain and analyze the implementation of community engagement within the context of enhancing involvement and strengthening the alumni network within a college's study program. Additionally, this initiative seeks to reinforce the relationship between the college and its alumni. The method employed in this endeavor is Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which involves alumni who have graduated from the doctoral program in educational management at Universitas Negeri Semarang. FGD is employed to gather input, feedback, and perspectives from alumni regarding their roles within the alumni network, as well as their expectations for the study program. The results of this initiative indicate that the implementation of FGD has facilitated active interaction between alumni and the study program. Alumni have provided valuable insights concerning industry needs, career development, as well as enhancements and advancements in the study program. Input from alumni enables the college to adapt the curriculum, add career development programs, and enhance teaching quality. In the long run, this dedication also holds the potential to strengthen the alumni network and increase involvement in supporting the accreditation of the study program. Keywords: alumni network; study program; FGD; accreditation.

Abstract

This study investigates the management of cultivating the character of “kebhayangkaraan” based on faith and devotion among Level I cadets at the Indonesian Police Academy. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research was conducted at the Level I Battalion in Semarang, utilizing purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, engaged observation, and documentation, and validated using triangulation of sources and methods. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman framework. The findings highlight the importance of instilling faith and devotion in cadets who transition from civilian life to a police institution. The academy's curriculum, enriched with comparative religious studies, ethical applications, and reflective practices such as meditation and community engagement, effectively cultivates individuals who uphold law with justice, empathy, and faith. Caregivers play a pivotal role, using tailored parenting strategies to reinforce these virtues. This study contributes to the field by demonstrating how a structured approach to religious and ethical education can enhance the moral integrity and professional competence of future police officers, thus providing a model for similar institutions aiming to integrate faith-based character building into their training programs.

Abstract

This study aims to construct a history-learning scheme using a humanistic approach to create peace in the Boyolali region. This study used a descriptive method within the Cresswell framework. This study’s data sources were informants, consisting of fifteen participants. Data analysis applies an interactive model. The results showed that mass trauma related to past events, namely the 1965 Incident, still occurred in Boyolali, which is an indication of the ambivalence of society and has an impact on a less harmonious social situation. Reconciliation through education is necessary for creating a peaceful atmosphere. A history-learning scheme with a humanistic approach, which is constructed based on the phenomena and social conditions of the community, has succeeded in creating a proactive learning atmosphere to break hatred and spread the spirit of peace. In conclusion, history learning with a humanistic approach is relevant for creating a peaceful society, free of conflict and ambivalence, and able to think constructively about social development in the Boyolali region.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun skema pembelajaran sejarah dengan pendekatan humanistik untuk menciptakan perdamaian di wilayah Boyolali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dalam kerangka Cresswell. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah informan yang terdiri dari lima belas partisipan. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa trauma massal terkait peristiwa masa lalu yaitu Peristiwa 1965 masih terjadi di Boyolali yang merupakan indikasi ambivalensi masyarakat dan berdampak pada kurang harmonisnya situasi sosial. Rekonsiliasi melalui pendidikan diperlukan untuk menciptakan suasana damai. Skema pembelajaran sejarah dengan pendekatan humanistik yang dibangun berdasarkan fenomena dan kondisi sosial masyarakat berhasil menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang proaktif untuk mematahkan kebencian dan menyebarkan semangat perdamaian. Kesimpulannya, pembelajaran sejarah dengan pendekatan humanistik relevan untuk mewujudkan masyarakat damai, bebas konflik dan ambivalensi, serta mampu berpikir konstruktif terhadap pembangunan sosial di wilayah Boyolali.

Abstract

Abstract: Indonesia has plenty of national heroes. In education, they have the potential as a medium for transmitting values and character education. From 1959 to 2023, the president awarded the title of hero to 206 people. This number will continue to increase every year. However, the contribution of learning about national heroes has not been studied in depth. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze how national heroes' mapping in history class and the heroes' position in the Indonesian History curriculum. This paper also examines the internalization of heroic values and obstacles encountered in historical learning. Data was collected on policies related to hero titles, curriculum documents, history textbooks, and learning cases about national heroes in Semarang City. The results showed that historical learning in the Indonesian curriculum accommodated the teaching of heroes. Some material addressed the role of the hero explicitly. However, not all heroes were conveyed in the lesson. Overproduction of heroes was counterproductive to students' recognition of the value of heroism. On the one hand, the role of local heroes had not been optimally reviewed. As a result, history learning was stuck on the term "learning about heroes." History learning has not entirely made students "learn from heroes" or "learn to be heroes." Abstrak: Indonesia memiliki banyak pahlawan nasional. Dalam dunia pendidikan, mereka memiliki potensi sebagai media transmisi nilai-nilai dan pendidikan karakter. Sejak tahun 1959 hingga 2023, presiden telah menganugerahkan gelar pahlawan kepada 206 orang. Jumlah tersebut akan terus bertambah setiap tahunnya. Namun, kontribusi pembelajaran tentang pahlawan nasional belum dikaji secara mendalam. Oleh karena itu, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana pemetaan pahlawan nasional dalam pelajaran sejarah dan kedudukan pahlawan dalam kurikulum Sejarah Indonesia. Tulisan ini juga mengkaji internalisasi nilai-nilai kepahlawanan dan kendala yang ditemui dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa kebijakan terkait gelar pahlawan, dokumen kurikulum, buku teks sejarah, dan kasus pembelajaran tentang pahlawan nasional di Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran sejarah di Indonesia dalam kurikulum (K13) dan Kurikulum Merdeka (KM) telah mengakomodir pengajaran tentang pahlawan. Beberapa materi membahas peran pahlawan secara eksplisit. Namun, tidak semua pahlawan tersampaikan dalam pembelajaran. Overproduksi pahlawan justru kontraproduktif terhadap pengenalan siswa terhadap nilai kepahlawanan. Di satu sisi, peran pahlawan lokal belum dikaji secara optimal. Akibatnya, pembelajaran sejarah hanya terpaku pada istilah "belajar tentang pahlawan". Pembelajaran sejarah belum sepenuhnya membuat siswa "belajar dari pahlawan" atau "belajar menjadi pahlawan".

Abstract

As an effort to improve and catch up on learning loss as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has implemented an independent learning curriculum in most educational institutions at various levels. However, as a result of the lack of preparation for the implementation of this curriculum, various problems arose, especially in terms of formative assessment. Problems regarding formative assessment in the implementation of the independent learning curriculum were also experienced by the Kudus Regency History MGMP. The aim of this activity is an effort to reduce partner problems through collaborative activities in the form of community service. The method in this activity is training, followed by post-training assistance. The results of the service activities show that there is an increase in partners' understanding of the preparation of formative assessments for history learning. This is evidenced by the evaluation results in each activity carried out. During the training and mentoring activities, participants were also very enthusiastic and held discussions with resource persons. Thus, it can be said that this activity has a positive impact and changes to partners, especially in terms of preparing formative assessments for learning history.

Abstract

Pengajar diperguruan tinggi memiliki peran penting sebagai sumber daya manusia di institusi pendidikan. Peran penting Pengajar atau dosen sebagai seorang profesional adalah melaksanakan penelitian. Kinerja penelitian didasari aturan yang ditetapkan tiap institusi dalam mendukung visi misi institusi. Pengelola institusi pendidikan perlu menilai semua dimensi kinerja penelitian dosen untuk meningkatkan kinerja penelitian. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui profil kinerja penelitian dosen di jurusan kebidanan meliputi kualitas, kemampuan, kuantitas, kerjasama, tanggung jawab serta kemandirian. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan google form. Responden adalah 79 dosen mengajar di jurusan kebidanan Kemenkes Poltekkes Semarang, Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan kinerja penelitian dosen dalam kategori sedang, dimensi yang paling rendah pada kerja sama ( 2,97%). Kinerja penelitian dosen perlu dikembangkan untuk melakukan kerja sama penelitian didalam tim dan penelitian kerjasama diluar institusi. Beberapa dosen merasa kesulitan melakukan penelitian bersama dengan institusi lain karena pembatasan standar akreditasi. Kami menyarankan agar kinerja penelitian dosen perlu ditingkatkan dengan menambah kerjasama institusi pendidikan dengan institusi lain yang memiliki akreditasi Unggul serta institusi pendidikan di luar negeri, meningkatkan kemampuan dosen dengan pendampingan dari dosen yang telah memiliki pengalaman dengan yang kurang memiliki pengalaman, pedoman penelitian dan monitoring evaluasi mulai awal penyusunan proposal.

Abstract

Literasi keuangan merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan masyarakat modern, memainkan peran krusial dalam pengelolaan keuangan dan investasi yang optimal. Namun, di Indonesia, tingkat literasi keuangan masih perlu ditingkatkan untuk memperkuat pemahaman yang memadai untuk mengambil keputusan finansial. Guru merupakan pengajar yang menjadi segmen untuk memperkuat literasi keuangan, agar dapat diintegrasikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Metode pengabdian yang dipergunakan terdiri atas penyampaian materi, diskusi interaktif, dan studi kasus. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan dengan melibatkan 76 guru di Kota Semarang sebagai peserta. Kegiatan pengabdian berisi pemahaman atas profil risiko dan instrumen investasi yang sesuai dengan tujuan keuangan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengelola keuangan dan membuat keputusan investasi yang tepat. Peserta mampu mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis investasi yang sesuai dengan profil risiko masing-masing.
