Abstract

This article reports the effect of the STAD-typed cooperative learning model on students' mathematics learning outcomes in class V of SDN 040529 Ajibuhara Tiga Panah Karo in the academic year of 2020/2021. The research approach used in this article was quantitative. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling and involved a number of 31 students. The results indicated that students’ learning outcomes using the STAD model were categorized as very good with an average score of 80.64. It was achieved the normality testing with a significance value of 0.20, thus, 0.20 > 0.05 from the data of class V was normally distributed. In the correlation testing, the correlation coefficient was 0.371 with a significance of 0.040, which means rcount (0.371) > rtable (0.355). Hence, there was a positive correlation between the STAD model and students' mathematics learning outcomes, which was 2.150 > 1.826. Thus, Ha is accepted. It shows that there was a positive and significant effect of the STAD learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The results of data analysis, hypothesis testing, and discussion concluded that this study aimed to determine the effect of gadgets on students’ learning outcomes in the IT subject at grade V of SD St. Antonius Bangun Mulia Medan in the academic year 2020/2021. The population of this study consisted of 55 students, and all students were selected as the sample. A quantitative method with a survey design was used to obtain the required data. The samples were selected using a random sampling technique. Data were collected through observations, questionnaires, and document studies. The hypothesis was tested using correlation analysis and a t-test. The results showed that the initial average score of students’ learning outcomes was 66.90, which was categorized as fair with a percentage of 32.72%. After using gadgets in learning, the average score of students’ learning outcomes increased to 85.36, which was also categorized as fair with a percentage of 34.54%. Furthermore, the hypothesis testing results showed that rcount = −0.169 and tcount = −1.248, while ttable = 1.673 at a significance level of 5%. Since tcount < ttable (−1.248 < 1.673), H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected. This indicates that gadgets had no effect on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD St. Antonius Bangun Mulia Medan.

Abstract

This research utilized a descriptive method which was conducted in one class, namely the experimental class. The instrument used to collect data was multiple choice questions. The hypotheses were examined by the "t" test. The results of statistical calculations revealed that Group Investigation learning model significantly influenced the studets’ learning outcomes on the material of “Lingkungan Sahabat Kita” sub-theme of environmental changes at grade VSD Negeri 101859 Rambai the academic year 2019/2020. This was supported by the average score in posttest which was in the excellent category. Based on the research results, Group Investigation type cooperative learning model gave a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes with tcount > ttable (9.385 > 1.6838) at the significant level α = 0.05. Thus, Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. After that, the result of ttest data analysis found that tcount > ttable (1.449> 1.683851) at a significant level of 5%. It can be concluded that hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Thus, this learning model was feasible to be implemented in the learning process, especially in influencing better learning outcomes.
