Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a significant public health issue in Indonesia, with incidence rates fluctuating every year. This study aims to identify and analyze the prevention and control strategies for DHF in Indonesia over the last five years (2019–2024) using a literature review method. The analyzed articles were selected based on inclusion criteria such as publications in Indonesian or English, published between 2019 and 2024, and directly discussing prevention or control strategies for DHF. The results show that strategies implemented in Indonesia include community-based approaches such as the 3M Plus movement, the use of innovative technologies like Wolbachia-infected mosquitoes, enhancement of surveillance systems, public education, and strengthening cross-sector coordination. Despite various efforts, challenges such as vector resistance, climate change, and lack of inter-agency synergy still hinder program effectiveness. Therefore, more integrated, evidence-based policies oriented toward community participation are needed to achieve optimal and sustainable DHF control.

Abstract

The estimated torque and thrust coefficients in four quadrants of marine propeller in a LNG manoeuvre control system is essential for the total performance of the vessel. A Chebyshev n-order polynomial that approximated a continuous function over the interval advance speed J [-1, 1] to calculate the torque and thrust coefficients as well as the shaft speed, is utilized to get the propeller properties. The Dynamical modeling and simulation of the marine propeller across the four quadrants are schemed and applied to the marine propeller B-4.58. The results are compared with both open water experiments and open water numerical tests using ANSYS-Fluent. The comparisons show that the chebyshev polynomial agreed well with both experiments and numerical tests and deduce that the polynomial provides a new practically approach estimation on torque and thrust coefficients in four quadrants of marine propeller for the vessel operations. Then the polynomial coefficients from Chebyshev n-order polynomial were used to express the mathematical model for the propeller thrust and torque characteristics and applied in the manoeuvring simulation programming.

Abstract

Background: Based on interviews with postoperative patients in the digestive surgery room at General Ahmad Yani Regional Hospital, many are reluctant to undergo early mobilization due to a lack of family support. This lack of family knowledge regarding postoperative patient care, particularly regarding early mobilization, leads to a lack of family support for early mobilization, which can increase the risk of postoperative complications. Purpose: To determine the effectiveness and influence of education using audiovisual media on early mobilization in postoperative patients. Method: This activity was conducted at General Ahmad Yani Regional Hospital, Metro, Lampung Province, from April 15 to May 15, 2025. This activity was a quasi-experimental study using a non-equivalent control group design with a posttest only approach. The population in this study were postoperative patients undergoing general anesthesia at General Ahmad Yani Regional Hospital, Metro, Lampung Province. Using a non-probability sampling technique, 30 respondents were selected as the control group and 30 respondents as the experimental group. The experimental group received an intervention in the form of education using audiovisual media to implement early mobilization. Results: Data showed that the majority of control group respondents (18 (60.0%) received good family support, while the majority of experimental group respondents (26 (86.7%) received good family support. The p-value was 0.041 with an OR of 4.333. The p-value was 0.041 (p<0.05) and the odds ratio (OR) was 4.333, indicating that families of patients who received audiovisual education were 4.33 times more likely to provide good support. Conclusion: The audiovisual-based educational approach not only increased knowledge but also influenced family attitudes and behaviors in responding to postoperative patient needs, thus providing better motivation for early mobilization. Suggestion: It is hoped that future activities can create more engaging educational videos so that this audiovisual education method can have a more significant effect. Keywords: Audiovisual; Early mobilization; Family support; Postoperative patients Pendahuluan: Berdasarkan wawancara pasien pasca operasi di ruang bedah digestif RSUD Jend. Jend. Abstract

Background: Physiological parameters are vital indicators of neonatal health, particularly in premature and low birth weight (LBW) infants. Specific Background: Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) enhances neonatal outcomes, yet optimal positioning—such as the recently introduced Supported Diagonal Flexion (SDF) position—requires further validation. Knowledge Gap: Limited evidence exists on whether SDF positioning offers physiological advantages over the conventional upright kangaroo position. Aims: This study aimed to determine the effect of SDF positioning on physiological stability in premature and LBW infants during KMC. Method: A randomized crossover trial was conducted involving 31 mother-infant dyads. Each infant experienced both SDF and upright kangaroo positions in two sessions, with at least one hour per session. Physiological parameters—body temperature, heart rate, and oxygen saturation—were measured at baseline and post-intervention, analyzed using General Linear Model Repeated Measures and Mann-Whitney tests. Results: No statistically significant differences were observed across parameters: temperature (p=0.370), heart rate (p=0.956), and oxygen saturation (p=0.373). Novelty: This is among the first trials comparing SDF and upright KMC positions in a crossover design. Implications: Although physiological differences were not significant, SDF positioning demonstrated safety and maintained stability, supporting its use as an alternative in KMC practices for premature and LBW infants. Highlights: Highlights the safety and stability of SDF positioning in KMC. Uses a robust crossover design for internal control. Supports clinical application despite non-significant differences. Keywords: Kangaroo Mother Care, Supported Diagonal Flexion, Premature Infants, Physiological Stability, Randomized Crossover Trial
