Abstract

This study explores the state of agile leadership research through a bibliometric analysis of academic contributions, focusing on publication trends, geographic distribution, and thematic insights. Using the Scopus database and the keyword “agile leader*,” 70 publications from 2010 to 2024 were identified. Analysis tools VOSviewer and Biblioshiny were employed to visualize co-occurrence networks and identify key research themes. Results show a significant increase in publications starting in 2020, reflecting heightened interest driven by contemporary challenges and digital transformation. Indonesia, Turkey, and India emerged as leading contributors. Thematic analysis revealed clusters related to organizational agility, digital transformation, crisis management, and leadership style. This study underscores the multidimensional nature of agile leadership and highlights its relevance across industries and global contexts. Future research should explore the application of agile leadership principles within the education sector to foster adaptable, innovative, and resilient educational institutions.

Abstract

Abstract: One crucial aspect of digital leadership is the professional development of teachers through Professional Learning Community (PLC). However, literature exploring the relationship between digital leadership and PLC remains limited. This study aims to analyze research trends and developments in digital leadership and its implications for teachers' professional development using bibliometric analysis. Literature data were collected from the Scopus database for the period 2020–2024 using a Boolean Search query with keywords related to digital leadership and PLC. After filtering, 3,487 articles from various countries were selected. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to identify research patterns and term network mapping. The visualization results reveal four major clusters in digital leadership research: (1) school leadership and teacher professional development, (2) experimental research and mental health in education, (3) community-based learning and qualitative research, and (4) digital transformation and transformational leadership. These findings indicate that digital leadership not only supports teacher professional development but also relates to mental well-being, innovation in community-based learning, and organizational adaptation to digital transformation. This study contributes by identifying research gaps in digital leadership and PLC and providing future research directions to explore technology-driven leadership strategies to enhance teacher professional development. Abstract

This study aims to design a new strategy to accelerate educational equity through local government. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, it adopted data triangulation through document review, and in-depth semi-structured interviews with education office practitioners and education planning experts, which is selected purposively. The study lasted 79 days and used a thematic analysis to describe the data. The results: (1) Indonesian national education policy has long set principles for school siting to ensure accessibility; however, local governments still lack standardized procedural guidance for assessing and determining new school locations, resulting in implementation absurdities. (2) A new strategy to address educational inequity was formulated into 3 alternatives: (a) Establishing a local education policy as a standard operating procedure (SOP) for determining new school locations; (b) Multi-actor collaboration among local government, academics, and the community; (c) Creating a location selector application to assess the feasibility of proposed new school sites. The third alternative is special urgency, and it is the most prominent practical implication, because it offers substantial benefits for addressing educational inequity. Although focused on Subang Regency, the study is globally relevant given persistent educational inequity and structural constraints in many countries. Further research is recommended to develop the location selector application.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between transformational school leadership and learning innovation, as well as the sustainable improvement of educational quality. Using a quantitative design, data were collected from senior high school teachers through a structured questionnaire and analyzed with SmartPLS 4 using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. The results show that transformational school leadership significantly enhances learning innovation, while learning innovation in turn significantly improves educational quality. In contrast, the direct effect of transformational school leadership on educational quality is positive but not significant. The mediation analysis confirms that learning innovation fully mediates this relationship. These findings suggest that school leadership contributes to educational quality when it is translated into practical innovation in learning materials, teaching methods, classroom culture, and assessment practices. The study recommends that principals strengthen instructional leadership, encourage teacher innovation, and build sustainable professional learning systems to support continuous improvement in educational quality.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze and describe the factors that influence student decisions in choosing a major in Educational Administration at the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. The research method employed is qualitative, entailing the conduct of interviews. The data were collected via the distribution of questionnaires to 14 students enrolled in the 2023-2024 class using the Google Forms (G-Forms) application. The data were analyzed descriptively using the ATLAS.ti software. The results demonstrated that the analysis of the 10 interview instruments revealed the existence of a multitude of factors influencing the decision-making process. These factors include career opportunities, the reputation of the study program, personal interest in the field of Educational Administration, the development of administrative systems, consideration of tuition fees and availability of financial aid, and communication and discussion with peers. These factors are interrelated and provide a comprehensive picture of the considerations faced by students in choosing a major. Given the limitations in data exploration, future research may provide opportunities to investigate other factors that may influence student decision-making in choosing a major in Educational Administration. Keywords: Factors Influencing Decisions; Student Decisions; Educational Administration Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih jurusan Administrasi Pendidikan di Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan melakukan wawancara. Data dikumpulkan melalui distribusi kuesioner kepada 14 mahasiswa yang masuk dalam angkatan 2023-2024 menggunakan aplikasi Google Forms (G-Forms). Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak ATLAS.ti. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 10 instrumen wawancara yang dianalisis, teridentifikasi berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi proses pengambilan keputusan. Faktor-faktor tersebut meliputi peluang karier, reputasi program studi, minat pribadi dalam bidang Administrasi Pendidikan, pengembangan sistem administrasi, pertimbangan biaya kuliah dan ketersediaan bantuan keuangan, serta komunikasi dan diskusi dengan teman sebaya. Faktor-faktor ini saling terkait dan memberikan gambaran yang komprehensif mengenai pertimbangan yang dihadapi mahasiswa dalam memilih jurusan. Mengingat adanya batasan dalam eksplorasi data, penelitian selanjutnya dapat memberikan peluang untuk menyelidiki faktor-faktor lain yang mungkin mempengaruhi pengambilan keputusan mahasiswa dalam memilih jurusan Administrasi Pendidikan. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses inherent in the implementation of digital leadership models in the context of education, a matter of particular importance in the context of the rapidly evolving digitization of education, particularly in Indonesia. A qualitative approach to scoping review was conducted in accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) protocol. Article data mining was conducted using Harzing Publish or Perish research application technology from the Google Scholar and Scopus databases. The initial stage of the data mining process yielded a total of 101 articles; however, the application of strict inclusion criteria resulted in the exclusion of 87 articles, leaving a total of 14 articles that were reviewed. The results showed that digital leadership has 19 strengths and 12 weaknesses when utilized in education. The integration of digital leadership, contingent upon the successful contextualization of its strengths for problems that are compatible, and the mitigation of its weaknesses, has the potential to serve as a highly valuable strategic solution in addressing the challenges posed by educational underperformance. It is recommended that further research be conducted to address the identified weaknesses and potential threats associated with the implementation of digital leadership in Indonesia's education sector. Keywords: Strengths and weaknesses, Digital leadership, Indonesian education Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan yang melekat pada implementasi model kepemimpinan digital dalam konteks pendidikan. Tujuan ini sangat penting dalam konteks digitalisasi pendidikan yang tengah bergerak cepat, khususnya di Indonesia. Pendekatan kualitatif untuk tinjauan lingkup (scoping review) dengan protokol Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Penambangan data artikel dilakukan menggunakan teknologi aplikasi penelitian Harzing Publish or Perish, dari database Google Scholar dan Scopus. Tahap awal dari proses penggalian data menghasilkan total 101 artikel. Namun, penerapan kriteria inklusi yang ketat telah mengeksklusi 87 artikel. Sebanyak 14 artikel berkelayakan tinggi ditelaah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 19 kekuatan dan 12 kelemahan ketika kepemimpinan digital dimanfaatkan dalam bidang pendidikan. Kemudian implementasi kepemimpinan digital, jika masing-masing kekuatannya dikontekstualisasikan dengan tepat untuk masalah tertentu yang serasi, serta mitigasi terhadap kelemahannya dapat dilakukan dengan baik, maka model kepemimpinan ini akan menjadi solusi strategis yang sangat bernilai dalam mengatasi masalah-masalah ketertinggalan pendidikan. Penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mengatasi kelemahan yang teridentifikasi dan potensi ancaman yang terkait dengan implementasi kepemimpinan digital di sektor pendidikan Indonesia, direkomendasikan. Abstract

In the era of digitalization of education and economy and the development of artificial intelligence, adolescents appear highly competitive compared with other generations in understanding digital technologies, acquiring expertise, and mastering modern means of communication, which normally causes intergenerational conflicts and the loss of an adult's personal and functional authority. The aim of this research was to develop and test a model for developing adolescents' communicative cultures in an institution of additional education. The research emphasizes the significance of personality-oriented, interactive-communicative, and cultural approaches and conducts a comparative analysis of the sources. Methodologically, the study relies on a quantitative method with primary sources. Besides, the findings of the study contribute to the existing limited stress on the importance of adolescents' communicative cultures from the perspective of the digitalization of additional education. The study finds that the use of digital options in education has reduced social interaction among students. However, the students prefer to use digital methods of learning as they find them more convenient for communication. Therefore, the digital communication culture has high potential in the educational sector. Abstract

This study examines strategies to enhance the academic qualifications and professionalism of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) through the implementation of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). In the realm of global military modernization, academic legitimacy has emerged as a critical complement to operational competence. This study employed a qualitative scoping review following the PRISMA framework. Data were collected from the Scopus database (2015–2025) using the Publish or Perish tool, yielding 200 articles; 15 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal two key dimensions: (1) fundamental aspects, including civil–military integration, institutional alignment, and academic legitimacy; and (2) methodological aspects, such as the adoption of digital learning technologies, blended learning, and reflective-cognitive development. The study proposes four strategic directions: implementing RPL for credit recognition, aligning curricula with higher education standards, integrating digital technologies, and fostering a reflective academic culture. These strategies support transforming military education toward global competitiveness and professional excellence.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Mendalam menuntut guru untuk terus memperbarui pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan perspektif pedagogisnya seiring dengan dinamika perubahan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji self-renewal capacity guru dalam melaksanakan Pembelajaran Mendalam melalui pendekatan thematic literature review. Penelitian ini menganalisis 20 artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan tahun 2024–2025 dari berbagai basis data akademik terindeks dengan menggunakan aplikasi PRIMA dan ATLAS.Ti. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa self-renewal capacity guru tercermin dalam lima dimensi yang saling berkaitan, yaitu eksplorasi, eksploitasi, absorpsi, integrasi, dan kepemimpinan. Dimensi eksplorasi dan eksploitasi memungkinkan guru mencari serta mengoptimalkan pengetahuan dan sumber daya pembelajaran, sedangkan absorpsi dan integrasi merupakan proses internalisasi serta penerapan inovasi pedagogis secara kontekstual di kelas. Dimensi kepemimpinan memperkuat peran guru sebagai agen perubahan yang mendorong praktik Pembelajaran Mendalam yang berpusat pada peserta didik. Dengan demikian, self-renewal capacity menjadi fondasi strategis dalam memastikan implementasi Pembelajaran Mendalam yang efektif, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perkembangan kajian kepemimpinan pelayan di perguruan tinggi tahun 2001-2021. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis bibliometrik, dengan tahapan: 1) pencarian bibliografi dengan aplikasi Publish or Perish dari database Scopus, 2) penyaringan bibliografi, 3) pelengkapan dan penyempurnaan bibliografi, dan 4) analisis dengan VOSviewer. Temuannya adalah: 1) penelitian bertema kepemimpinan pelayan di perguruan tinggi tahun 2001-2021 muncul sejak 2008 dan melonjak signifikan pada 2019 – 2021; 2) tidak ada penerbit jurnal yang mendominasi penerbitan artikel; 3) pemuncakan jumlah sitasi artikel per tahun terjadi empat kali, yaitu 2009, 2014, 2017, dan 2020; 4) sepuluh artikel yang paling banyak disitasi berkaitan dengan keperawatan, hospitality, kesejahteraan, keolahragaan, academic outcomes, kepuasan kerja, keterlibatan akademik, positif psikologi, kompetensi mentoring, dan pengukuran kepemimpinan pelayan; 5) kata kunci judul dan abstrak pengarang berkaitan ada 13, 3 kata muncul secara bersamaan. 6) Kolaborasi penulis terjadi di antara empat penulis. Berdasarkan temuan, penelitian model kepemimpinan pelayan akan terus meningkat.
