Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan model Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media Wordwall pada materi berimbuhan di kelas V UPTD SD Negeri 4 Bireuen. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 24 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa, serta angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media Wordwall mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar dari 70,83% pada Siklus I menjadi 91,67% pada Siklus II. Aktivitas guru meningkat dari 86,3% menjadi 91,8%, sedangkan aktivitas siswa meningkat dari 83,6% menjadi 87,2%. Respons siswa terhadap pembelajaran juga sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 95,83%. Dengan demikian, penerapan model Teams Games Tournament berbantuan media Wordwall efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa serta menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, menarik, dan bermakna pada materi berimbuhan di sekolah dasar.

This study aims to describe the improvement of reading comprehension skills among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Nisam through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Big Book media. The background of this study is based on students' low reading comprehension ability, as they still had trouble analyzing, constructing information, and summarizing the content of a text, resulting in Indonesian language learning outcomes that had not yet reached the established Learning Objective Mastery Criteria (KKTP). This study employed a qualitative approach in the form of Classroom Action Research (CAR), carried out in two cycles consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 19 fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 5 Nisam. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets of teacher and student activities, and interviews, then analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative methods. The results showed that the percentage of students' learning completeness increased from 63.15% in Cycle I to 89.47% in Cycle II, thereby achieving the 80% classical completeness target. Teacher activity increased from 95% to 96%, while student activity increased from 97% to 98%, both falling into the very good category. Interview results also indicated that students gave positive responses to the use of Big Book media and the PBL model, finding the learning process more engaging, easier to understand, and enjoyable. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Big Book media is effective in improving reading comprehension skills and increasing student engagement in elementary Indonesian language learning.

This study was motivated by the finding that the fifth-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 18 Bireuen had low ability in providing responses and suggestions to the content of stories. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the improvement of students' ability to provide responses and suggestions to story content through the implementation of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model assisted by story problem cards. In addition, the study sought to identify the learning activities of teachers and students during the implementation of the TSTS learning model and to examine students' responses to its application in improving their ability to provide responses and suggestions to story content. This research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through tests, observations, and interviews. The findings revealed that the implementation of the TSTS learning model assisted by story problem cards successfully improved students' ability to provide responses and suggestions to story content. In Cycle I, the percentage of students achieving learning mastery was 36%, which increased to 89% in Cycle II, indicating an improvement of 53%. Teacher activity also improved from 87% in Cycle I to 95.45% in Cycle II, which was categorized as very good. Similarly, student activity increased from 85% in Cycle I to 95.45% in Cycle II and was also categorized as very good. Furthermore, the interview results indicated that students responded very positively to the implementation of the TSTS learning model assisted by story problem cards. They reported that the learning process was more engaging, enjoyable, and easier to understand, encouraged active group discussions, increased their confidence in expressing responses and suggestions, and helped them better understand the content of fable stories.

Taboo language is a linguistic phenomenon reflecting the close relationship between language, culture, and social norms within a society. This study aims to describe the forms and classifications of taboo language and to explain the social contexts of its use among the Gayo people in Central Aceh Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed. Data were gathered through listening, participatory observation, recording, and note-taking involving three native Gayo speakers from the Kute Panang, Ketol, and Kebayakan districts. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results identified 39 instances of taboo language, classified into six categories: taboos regarding personal names, animal names, body parts, disease names, specific words, and profanity. The use of taboo language is influenced by fear, politeness, comfort, and religious teachings. Furthermore, its usage is heavily influenced by social contexts, including age, kinship ties, social status, location, and the communicative situation. The Gayo community also employs euphemisms—a form of linguistic softening—to avoid uttering words considered taboo. The study demonstrates that taboo language continues to function as a mechanism for upholding social norms, linguistic politeness, and the cultural identity of the Gayo people, even though it is undergoing shifts due to social change and the evolution of the times.

This study was motivated by the low descriptive writing skills of second-grade students at UPTD SD Negeri 2 Peusangan due to the limited use of innovative learning models and instructional media in the learning process. This study aimed to improve students' descriptive writing skills through the implementation of the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by animated video media, to describe teacher and student activities during the learning process, and to identify teacher and student responses toward the implementation of the learning model. This research employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were second-grade students of UPTD SD Negeri 2 Peusangan. Data were collected through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by animated video media improved students' descriptive writing skills, increased teacher and student learning activities in each cycle, and generated positive responses from both teachers and students. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Picture and Picture learning model assisted by animated video media is effective in improving descriptive writing skills among elementary school students. This study aimed to improve students' learning outcomes, teacher and student activities, and to determine the responses of fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Meurah Dua toward learning short stories through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Magic Box media. The background of this study was the low student learning outcomes caused by monotonous teaching methods and the limited use of engaging learning media. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The research subjects consisted of 19 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through learning achievement tests, observation sheets of teacher and student activities, and interviews. The results showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, with the classical learning mastery increasing from 63.15% (12 students) in Cycle I to 84.21% (16 students) in Cycle II. Teacher activity improved from an average score of 82.5% in Cycle I to 93.75% in Cycle II, which was categorized as "Very Good." Student activity also increased from 82.5% in Cycle I to 95% in Cycle II. Based on the interview results, students gave positive responses because the Magic Box media made learning short story material easier to understand and more enjoyable. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Magic Box media was effective in improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students on short story material at SDN 2 Meurah Dua.

This study is motivated by the bilingual condition of the community at Paya Ilang Market, Takengon, where Gayo and Indonesian are used interchangeably in daily communication. It aims to describe the forms of code-switching and code-mixing, as well as the factors causing them, in the interactions between sellers and buyers at Paya Ilang Market. A qualitative descriptive method was applied. The data sources were the utterances of sellers and buyers, collected through observation, listening, recording, and note-taking techniques, and analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results show that 19 instances of code-switching and 29 instances of code-mixing were found. The code-switching found was internal, namely the shift between Gayo and Indonesian, occurring mainly across sentences, within a single utterance, and between speakers. The code-mixing found mainly involved the insertion of Gayo particles, words, phrases, and expressions into Indonesian utterances. The factors causing code-switching and code-mixing include the interlocutor, language habits, familiarity, informal situations, and the speakers' ethnolinguistic background. It can be concluded that code-switching and code-mixing at Paya Ilang Market occur naturally in this bilingual community, functioning to ease communication, build familiarity, and adjust to the interlocutor and the situation. This study is expected to contribute to sociolinguistic studies on bilingual communities, particularly regarding code-switching and code-mixing in traditional market interactions. This study aims to analyze the improvement of speaking skills among eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 23 Takengon in drama material through the application of the Role Playing method. Speaking skill is a crucial communicative competence in Indonesian language learning, and Role Playing is expected to facilitate the development of this skill by engaging students in portraying characters, which can boost confidence and fluency in speaking. This study employed a quantitative pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 27 eighth-grade students of class VIII.2 at SMP Negeri 23 Takengon, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, an oral speaking skill test administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) treatment, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, the paired sample t-test, and N-Gain calculation. The results show a significant increase in students' average score, from 38.78 at pretest to 87.63 at posttest, with an N-Gain score of 0.86 (high category). The paired sample t-test produced a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. These findings confirm that the Role Playing method has a significant effect on improving students' speaking skills in drama material, particularly by reducing psychological barriers such as shyness and building students' confidence through direct role enactment. The study implies the need for teachers to further develop innovative and contextual Role Playing-based learning models to optimize students' speaking competence.

Beginning reading is a fundamental literacy skill that elementary school students must acquire, as it provides the foundation for learning across all subject areas. Based on the findings of a preliminary observation conducted in Grade I of SD Negeri 2 Ketol, students' beginning reading skills were found to be relatively low. Of the 23 students, only 12 (52.17%) achieved the Minimum Learning Mastery Criterion (KKTP) of 75 or above. This study aimed to improve students' beginning reading skills through the implementation of the Think–Pair–Share (TPS) cooperative learning model supported by letter Puzzle media. In addition, the study sought to describe teacher and student learning activities as well as students' responses to the instructional process. The study employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted over two cycles. The participants consisted of 23 first-grade students of SD Negeri 2 Ketol during the 2025/2026 academic year. Each cycle comprised four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through reading achievement tests, classroom observations, and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while qualitative data from interviews were analyzed following the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings revealed that the implementation of the Think–Pair–Share (TPS) cooperative learning model supported by letter Puzzle media effectively improved students' beginning reading skills. The percentage of students achieving mastery increased from 52.17% in the pre-cycle to 60.86% in Cycle I and further to 86.96% in Cycle II. Teacher activity improved from 77.71% to 97.14%, while student activity increased from 75.14% to 100%. Furthermore, students expressed highly positive responses to the learning activities, reporting that the instructional approach was more engaging, enjoyable, and helpful in recognizing letters and reading simple words. These findings indicate that the implementation of the Think–Pair–Share (TPS) cooperative learning model supported by letter Puzzle media is effective in enhancing the beginning reading skills of first-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Ketol.
