Abstract

This study discusses the development of a decision support system (DSS) to determine the best coffee shop using the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method and Rank Order Centroid (ROC) weighting. The background of this research is based on the rapid growth of the coffee shop business, which has led to intense competition, requiring business owners to have appropriate strategies and decision-making in choosing a strategic location, adequate facilities, and competitive pricing. The MAUT method is applied because it can accommodate various attributes and criteria that influence decision-making, while ROC is utilized to assign objective weights to each criterion. This study involved five alternative coffee shops, and five evaluation criteria. The results of the calculations show that Coffee Lab achieved the highest final utility value of 0.718, thus being ranked as the best coffee shop, followed by Coffeenatics with 0.395 in second place, Dominico with 0.233 in third place, Kallia with 0.188 in fourth place, and Kopi Tuya with 0.054 in the last position. These findings demonstrate that the application of the MAUT method with ROC weighting can provide objective, systematic, and accurate recommendations in determining the best alternative based on the established criteria. Therefore, this research is expected to serve as a reference for the application of DSS in the coffee shop business sector as well as in other areas that require multi-criteria decision-making.

Abstract

The Student Executive Board (BEM) is an official student organization that holds a strategic role as a forum for aspirations, advocacy, coordination, and the development of student potential in higher education institutions. The election of BEM chairman candidates at Universitas Budi Darma was previously conducted manually, making it less efficient and lacking systematic evaluation criteria. Therefore, this study aims to design a decision support system (DSS) for selecting BEM chairman candidates using the Multi-Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method. The MOORA method was chosen because it is capable of optimizing various conflicting criteria simultaneously. This study involved seven alternative candidates and seven criteria, namely leadership training (LDK), student activity, vision and mission, semester GPA (IPS), non-academic achievements, academic achievements, and semester level, with weights determined using the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method. The collected data were then processed through normalization, weighting, and MOORA optimization calculations to determine candidate rankings. The results showed that out of the seven candidates, the best alternative was obtained by candidate A3 named Debby with a score of 0.4108. The implementation of this system proved to provide objective, fast, and accurate recommendations in determining the most suitable BEM chairman candidate. Thus, the MOORA method can serve as an effective solution to improve the quality of the BEM election process and support the enhancement of student organizational performance at Universitas Budi Darma.

Abstract

The development of the internet makes it easier for us to get information, we don't have to buy newspapers or magazines to get information. We only use various social media to get information easily and quickly. This online newspaper provides many benefits for us in getting information, but in getting information online we need to be careful because there are also positive and negative impacts in this online newspaper. Sometimes they provide information that is not filtered first and are wrong in providing the information and the news is not clear so that there are often promblematics for many people in reading information on social media. So in solving the problems that occur in the selection of online newspapers, several criteria are needed including Reputation & Credibility, News Content, Journalism Quality, Platform Availability and Interactivity Level. So that in solving the above problems, the author needs a tool to solve the problem, namely SPK. SPK is a computerised tool in problem solving using real data in order to get or obtain clear and accurate information results. In this study the authors used the WASPAS method to find the final results accurately. So with that, the one who gets the highest rank in the selection of the best online newspaper is Kompas.com with a value of 1 and followed by Detikcom with an acquisition value of 0.76032.

Abstract

Supplier performance evaluation is a critical aspect of supply chain management that focuses on assessing and monitoring the performance of suppliers. Supplier performance evaluation not only provides benefits for the company, but also motivates suppliers to improve their quality standards and operational efficiency. This study aims to evaluate supplier performance based on existing assessment data by applying the ROC method to determine the weight of the criteria used, then the MAIRCA method will evaluate supplier performance so that it will produce a rating of supplier performance evaluation which will be a decision recommendation for companies in assessing the performance of existing suppliers. The combination of ROC and MAIRCA weighting methods forms a powerful approach in addressing the complexity and challenges of multi-criteria decision making. ROC with its focus on relative ranking criteria, whereas MAIRCA which considers the difference between ideal and real conditions, presents complementary perspectives. By combining the two, decision makers can generate a more contextual and informational weight of criteria. The ranking result graph in figure 4 shows the best supplier performance obtained on behalf of Supplier C with a final value of 0.052391944 ranked 1, then on behalf of Supplier F with a final value of 0.050077222 ranked 2, and on behalf of Supplier G with a final value of 0.049074028 ranked 3.

Abstract

As the frontline of the service industry, a receptionist's performance not only reflects his professionalism, but also affects the first impression and overall customer experience. Problems in assessing the performance of a receptionist can include several things, namely difficulty measuring the quality of social interactions objectively, performance appraisals often focus more on administrative tasks, lack of understanding of the receptionist's role as a liaison between the company and customers, difficulty in assessing intangible aspects such as friendliness, patience, or the ability to respond to changing customer needs quickly and efficiently. The combination of rank sum weighting methods and Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) can result in a more holistic and robust approach to decision making. In this approach, the rank sum weighting method can be used to get an initial picture of the relative preferences of various alternatives, while MAUT can be used to dig deeper into those preferences and account for complex factors such as attribute weights and utility values. By combining these two methods, decision makers can gain a deeper understanding of their preferences, while still maintaining openness to multiple perspectives and information. The results of the ranking of the best cashier performance the 1st best cashier with a value of 0.574 obtained by Zulaikah, the 2nd best cashier with a value of 0.473 obtained by Arini, and the 3rd best cashier with a value of 0.337 obtained by Lilik Karlina.

Abstract

The government launched the Proposed Academic Achievement Scholarship (PPA) Program to help outstanding students. This scholarship is open to diploma and undergraduate students throughout Indonesia, both at state and private universities. Recommendations for this scholarship can be submitted by various parties, such as universities, government, NGOs, or organizations/companies. Apart from that, this program still has several shortcomings in its distribution, such as the lack of accurate data regarding the economic conditions and academic achievements of students which hinders the process of determining scholarship recipients who are on target, the large number of applicants and the manual process used takes a long time and has the potential to cause errors. This causes delays in distributing scholarships to recipients, in addition to the lack of clear and measurable criteria in the assessment process opening up opportunities for nepotism and favoritism, so that scholarship recipients are not always the most capable. To overcome this problem, data mining techniques are used, namely K-Means Clustering and decision making using the MAUT method. The reason this research combines the two methods is because K-Means groups students with similar GPA values, so that less data is selected using MAUT. There are 5 criteria used to select scholarship recipients including GPA, parents' income, academic achievement, non-academic achievement and ethics. This research sample took 150 students. Data was collected using K-Means Clustering into two clusters with the final centroid value of Cluster_0: 3,636 (79 data) and Cluster_1: 2,897 (71 data). Cluster_0 was chosen for the next process because it has a higher centroid value. As a result of selection using the MAUT method, 15 students were declared entitled to receive scholarships. The student with the highest final score was Monalisa Marbun (0.583) and the lowest (15th place) was Jonathan Panca S P Gultom (0.386).

Abstract

Al-Qur’an merupakan pedoman hidup bagi manusia. Tidak meratanya program Bimbingan Belajar Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an di setiap kelas merupakan salah satu penyebab terhambatnya kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an pada siswa. Salah satu upaya untuk mengadakan program Bimbingan Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an di setiap kelas adalah dengan kegiatan membaca Al-Qur’an setiap pagi sebelum kegiatan pembelajaran dimulai selama ± 30 menit. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana dan hambatan dari efektivitas bimbingan Belajar Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an di Mts Al-Washliyah 30 Pematang Guntung. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan peneliti berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi untuk memperoleh data yang berkaitan dengan keadaan umum dan khusus di Mts Al-Washliyah 30 Pematang Guntung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya kegiatan bimbingan Belajar Baca Tulis Al-Qur’an sangat efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an pada siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian dalam skripsi ini mengacu pada dua pokok permasalahan antara lain: 1) Mengetahui problematika pembelajaran Bahasa Arab pada siswa-siswi kelas VII A MTsN 3 Labuhan Batu, 2) Mengetahui bagaimana proses pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di kelas VII A MTsN 3 Labuhan Batu. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian lapangan (field research) yang bersifat kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dalam bentuk interview (wawancara), observasi (pengamatan), dokumentasi dan lain sebagainya. Teknik analisa data. Analisa data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan metode analisa kualitatif dilakukan sejak sebelum memasuki lapangan, selama dilapangan dan setelah selesai di lapangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan dari penelitian ini, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa problematika pembelajaran Bahasa Arab pada siswa-siswi diantaranya:1) Peserta didik kurang memiliki kemauan untuk belajar Bahasa Arab 2) Latar belakang lingkungan yang kurang mendukung kemajuan prestasi belajar 3) Peserta didik kurang memiliki rasa percaya diri dalam Bahasa Arab.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah “Untuk mengetahui apakah ada korelasi sistem zonasi dengan optimalisasi belajar siswa di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Washliyah Kedai Sianam. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan (field research). Pengelolaan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan dua teknik analisis, yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis statistika inferensial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh (1) Sistem zonasi kelas VIII di MTs Al Washliyah Kedaisianam, berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan 34 peserta didik, 5 orang responden berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 14,70%, 22 orang responden berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 64,70% dan 7 orang responden pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 20,58%. Dengan nilai rata-rata sistem zonasi kelas VIII di MTs Al Washliyah Kedaisianam sebesar 45% berada pada kategori sedang. (2) optimalisasi hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di MTs Al Washliyah Kedaisianam, berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian dengan 34 peserta didik, 3 orang responden berada pada kategori rendah dengan persentase 8,82% , 27 orang responden berada pada kategori sedang dengan persentase 79,41% dan 4 orang responden pada kategori tinggi dengan persentase 11,76%. Dengan nilai rata-rata motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas VIII di MTs Al Washliyah Kedaisianam sebesar 45% berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

The rapid economic growth and population development in Indonesia have significantly increased the demand for energy, presenting complex challenges in managing the primary energy supply due to geographical variability and dispersed natural resources. This study addresses these challenges by applying clustering techniques with a hyperparameter approach to explore and map Indonesia's primary energy supply. The research contributes to the field by offering an effective method for analyzing energy data patterns and optimizing energy management. Secondary data on energy production, consumption, and distribution from reliable sources such as the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources were collected and analyzed. Various clustering algorithms, including K-Means, Fast K-Means, X-Means, and K-Medoids, were applied to identify energy supply patterns across different regions. The Davies-Bouldin Index was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the clustering algorithms. The results indicate that distance measures such as Euclidean Distance and Chebychev Distance consistently show excellent clustering performance. The study found that the choice of distance measure significantly impacts the clustering quality. The insights gained from this analysis provide valuable information for stakeholders involved in energy planning and policy-making, enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of energy management in Indonesia. This research establishes a foundation for further detailed and holistic energy data analysis, supporting better decision-making in energy planning and development.
