Abstract

Single Tuition Fee (UKT) is a tuition payment rule that funds each student according to his economy, especially at PTN whose tuition fees are also determined from the student's economy. Students pay for the semester which is decided according to the single tuition fee minus the costs borne by the government, in other words each student only pays one component. At Budi Darma University, the payment of the Single Tuition Fee (UKT) has been determined by the campus by being able to pay in 6 installments per year in order to ease the payment of tuition fees to students. However, the number of students who meet the requirements in applying for UKT assistance makes it difficult for the campus in the selection process. Therefore, a decision support system is needed to solve a problem by applying the comparison of the Multi-Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) by including weighting with the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method to get accurate and effective results. From the test results, getting the best alternative that is considered worthy of single tuition assistance is in the same alternative, namely A7 on behalf of Zaza Mutiara Arini. Calculations using the MOORA method get the best preference value of 0.7391 while calculations using the SAW method get the best preference value of 0.8976.

Abstract

The Chating application is a virtual communication service either through messages, voice calls, or video calls that can assist in conducting online lectures during a pandemic. There are many types of applications that can be used to communicate during online lectures. Such as the Telegram application, Whatsapp application, Discord, KaKaoTalk, Line or WeChat and other social media applications that can be used to communicate personally or in groups. However, these applications have their own advantages and disadvantages that can affect the comfort and optimization of learning. Therefore, to determine the best Chating application, each alternative must have its own criteria as a requirement for the optimization of the application. As in this study, the authors added some data as criteria, namely Group Support, Member Capacity, Security, Account Privacy and Services provided by the application. Which, each criterion has a predetermined weight and is carried out with a settlement process using the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method for the ranking process. From calculations using the Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method, it will produce sequential alternatives from the highest to the lowest. The alternative value which is Qi or the highest ranking will be used as an alternative recommendation for chat applications that will be used as a tool to support online learning during the Covid pandemic.

Abstract

North Sumatra possesses abundant potential for tourist attractions, yet achieving the optimal selection of these attractions poses a challenge. Therefore, a decision support system is required to aid in the decision-making process for choosing the most suitable tourist attractions. In this study, the Multi Atributive Border Approximation Area Comparison (MABAC) method is employed to rank tourist attractions based on predefined criteria. MABAC combines geometric approaches with boundary approximation area comparison analysis to calculate priority scores for each tourist attraction. Additionally, the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) method is used to assign weights to the identified criteria. This research reveals various issues in the selection of tourist attractions in North Sumatra, such as complex criteria, variations in criteria weights, and insufficient tools to address these challenges. The primary objective of this study is to develop a decision support system capable of assisting stakeholders in selecting tourist attractions aligned with their preferences and objectives. The outcome of this research is the development of an efficient decision support system to aid in the selection of tourist attractions in North Sumatra. This system reduces subjectivity in decision-making, provides more accurate ranking based on established criteria, and assists stakeholders in understanding the process of selecting tourist attractions in a more transparent manner. The implications of this research include enhancing the quality of decision-making in the tourism industry and optimizing the utilization of tourist attraction potential in North Sumatra. As for the tourism recommendation with the highest rank, alternative 3 is obtained with a value of 0.6343, namely Paropo natural tourism.

Abstract

Being an outstanding student in higher education is certainly a positive and proud thing. Where national education aims to develop the potential of students, in order to become educated, creative students and become democratic and responsible citizens. In determining outstanding students, there are several criteria that must be met by each student as a condition for determining outstanding students. The problem that occurs is that sometimes there are obstacles when assessing the criteria set for each prospective participant. To help the evaluation team in determining outstanding students, a decision support system is needed, sometimes experiencing obstacles when assessing the criteria set for each candidate. In the assessment carried out directly there are prospective candidates who do not meet the criteria standards but excel in other criteria. The Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method is a quantitative comparison method used to convert several interests into numerical values on a scale of 0-1 with 0 representing the worst value and 1 the best value. The result of this research is a student determination decision that has the highest score value, namely Netralman (A1) with a utility value of 0.462.

Abstract

Tourism is an activity or activity carried out by humans in order to find pleasure or provide space for themselves to rest themselves from daily fatigue. The word tourism describes the expression of pleasure for someone who will enjoy a holiday by going somewhere. Many beaches in Indonesia in various regions make people confused in choosing which place to visit while on vacation. To assist visitors in choosing which beaches should be visited, a system is needed. A good system used in this problem is a decision support system. A decision support system is a system that has the same working procedures as a computer system. DSS requires a method. The method used in this study is the EXPORM II method. The EXPORM II method is a modified method of the PROMITHE II method. Where the EXPORM II method is easier than the PROMITHE II method. However, it has the same accurate results as the PROMITHE ll method. The results of this study are that the best alternative is Cemara Kembar Beach as an alternative to A7 with a value of 0.69889 which in the end is suggested to be the best beach resort.

Abstract

The increase in users of goods delivery services throughout Indonesia has resulted in more and more new companies in this field. Consumers also believe in using their services in sending their goods delivered using goods delivery services. The large number of companies that run the goods delivery service business, makes users confused in shipping goods to consumers. There are factors that influence the freight forwarding company's services to be known by the public and the level of promotion from each expeditionary party so that people are confident in using the freight forwarding services. In determining the best expedition services in the city of Medan there are several criteria, namely service, experience, responsiveness, cost and age. Based on these problems, a decision support system is needed as a problem solving technique and is assisted by a method that can produce an accurate final value. The method is the Additive Ratio Assessment (ARAS) method in which the method is very helpful in producing the best weight and preference values from alternative data and criteria so that the final result is to determine the best expedition services in the city of Medan in Alternative A14 with a value of 1.0000, namely expedition services TNT.

Abstract

Lecturers are the forerunners and places to gain knowledge for the nation's children, good lecturers will produce good students too, and good students will become successors to the progress of the nation to be even better, the large number of lecturers at Budi Darma University results in a density of lecturers, it is important to do acceptance of permanent lecturers to provide rewards to lecturers who have worked diligently and earnestly, each lecturer has their own quality but permanent lecturers are lecturers who have a safer position and are trusted by the campus, the importance of selecting permanent lecturers using a system decision support to prevent fraud in the election process. In this study, the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis Of Ratio Analysis) and MOOSRA (Multi-objective Optimization on the basis of Simple Ratio Analysis) methods are used to assist the selection process in a logical, systemic manner and can produce a decision value on the ranking value. which are different from each formula or algorithm, but these values are equally real and fair without any cheating. In this study the authors also used the ROC (Rank Order Centroid) value to obtain an effective and correct weighting value to perform calculations on the criteria values that had been set by the campus or college of the Budi Darma Medan University. The results in this study based on the calculation of the MOORA method, the highest result was achieved by A1, which is worth 0.4742 and in the MOOSRA method, the highest alternative result was achieved by A1, which is worth 28.1366.

Abstract

Heart failure (HF) is a global health threat, requiring urgent research in its classification. This study proposes a novel approach for HF classification by integrating advanced supervised learning (ASL) and particle swarm optimization (PSO). ASL techniques like bagging and AdaBoost are employed within the PSO+ASL optimization model to enhance prediction accuracy. PSO optimizes model weights and bias, while ASL addresses overfitting or underfitting issues. Split validation and cross-validation (70:30, 80:20, 90:10 with k-fold=10) are used for further optimization. The testing phase involves 12 classifiers in five groups: decision tree models (DTM), support vector machines (SVM), Naïve Bayes classifiers models (NBCM), logistic regression models (LRM), and lazy model (LM). Evaluating the proposed approach with an HF patient dataset from https://www.kaggle.com, results are compared against the standard model, PSO optimization, and PSO+ASL. Experimental findings demonstrate the superiority of the proposed approach, achieving higher accuracy in HF prediction. The PSO+ASL optimization model with the k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) method exhibits the best classification performance. It consistently achieves the highest accuracy across all tests on dataset composition ratios, with 100% accuracy, f-measure, sensitivity, specificity values, and area under cover (AUC) of 1. The proposed approach serves as a reliable tool for early detection and prevention of HF.

Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) is an important foundation in character building and optimal child development. This community service aims to improve the competence of teachers and parents of TK IT Harvysyah in three aspects: psychological stimulation of children, instilling Islamic morals, and sharia family financial management. Activities are carried out through a participatory approach with training, workshop, and mentoring methods. Participants consist of 10 teachers of TK IT Harvysyah and 30 parents. The training materials cover theory and practice of child development stimulation based on educational psychology, implementation of moral education through habituation and exemplary methods, as well as planning and management of family finances based on sharia economic principles. Evaluation results show a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills, with an average increase in knowledge. This program makes a real contribution in forming a holistic-integrative education ecosystem, combining cognitive, spiritual, and economic aspects for family welfare and optimization of early childhood growth and development.ABSTRAKPendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) merupakan fondasi penting dalam pembentukan karakter dan perkembangan optimal anak. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dan orang tua TK IT Harvysyah dalam tiga aspek yaitu stimulasi psikologis anak, penanaman akhlak Islami, dan pengelolaan keuangan keluarga syariah. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dengan metode pelatihan, workshop, dan pendampingan. Peserta terdiri dari 10 guru TK IT Harvysyah dan 30 orang tua. Materi pelatihan mencakup teori dan praktik stimulasi perkembangan anak berbasis psikologi pendidikan, implementasi pendidikan akhlak melalui metode pembiasaan dan keteladanan, serta perencanaan dan pengelolaan keuangan keluarga berdasarkan prinsip ekonomi syariah. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta, dengan rata-rata peningkatan pengetahuan. Program ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam membentuk ekosistem pendidikan yang holistik-integratif, menggabungkan aspek kognitif, spiritual, dan ekonomi untuk kesejahteraan keluarga dan optimalisasi tumbuh kembang anak usia dini.

Abstract

Seorang pelajar ataupun mahasiswa biasanya kurang pengetahuan dalam dunia kerja. oleh Karena itu dibuatlah suatu program yang disebut magang. Program magang dapat diartikan sebagai gerbang awal menuju dunia kerja. Magang merupakan tahapan yang dilalui oleh para pelajar dalam mengasah dan mengembangkan kemampuannya dalam dunia kerja. Program magang merupakan program dimana sekolah mengirim siswa ketempat-tempat tertentu yang menerima siswa magang. Program magang merupakan salah satu program yang wajib dilakukan oleh Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Salah satu tempat yang menerima siswa magang di sumatera utara adalah Universitas Budi Darma. Namun meningkatnya jumlah siswa magang yang medaftar justru menjadi permasalahan yang dialami kampus tersebut. Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut dibutuhkanlah suatu system yang disebut Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK). Ada beberapa metode yang dapat dipakai pada Sistem Pendukung Keputusan (SPK) ini. Salah satunya adalah metode Simple Addictive Weighting (SAW), metode Simple Addictive Weighting (SAW) dikenal dengan istilah metode penjumlahan terbobot karena melakukan penjumlahan terbobot untuk semua atribut pada setiap alternatif. hasil dari penelitian ini sebesar 0,9760 diperoleh oleh alternative A1 atas nama Romando Saragih sebagai peringkat pertama
